West Seattle Sewer & Drain Plumbing Service
Found the via community reference, and Bill is AWESOME!!

He came over on initial visit, diagnosed the problem, came back 3 days later (when we had someone at home) and knocked out the problem, fixed the issues, and was a pleasure to interact with. Both he and the lady who schedules his time were professional and a real breath of fresh air!!!!

Double thumbs up!

Otter Plumbing Plumbing Service
I was doing a huge updating project in my house that was not going well. I reached out to Otter Plumbing regarding installing new sinks and faucets in my kitchen, master bath and powder room as well as a new garbage disposal. They were able to quickly come in, complete the project so we were able to use our bathrooms and kitchen again and even identified and corrected an issue with the plumbing under my kitchen sink that would have prevented my new faucet from working properly if left as is. Shane was super knowledgeable, kept me informed and provided recommendations and ideas to ensure i was getting the result i was after. The end result was perfect, exactly what i wanted, done in a very timely manner and at a reasonable cost. I completely recommend them and will use them again when the need arises!

Ace Works Plumbing Service
A plumbing leak came up during electrical work on our house, so I needed a plumbing fix on short notice and Ace Works came through. The issue was a dislodged pipe in the basement crawlspace that was leaking sewage into said crawlspace, so the electrician couldn't continue working until the mess was cleaned up and the pipe reconnected. Tom came over to assess the situation with just a couple hours' notice, laid down a substance to absorb the wastewater overnight, and cleaned it up the following day after reconnecting the pipe (which involved rerouting it through a different beam in the crawlspace). He was fast and effective, and even fixed our back gate that the electrician had broken the day before. 100% happy with Ace Works, will hire them again.

They were quick to respond to this situation, which of course happened with the weekend coming up. I feel that the costs of plumbers are high, but they were there when they promised and did the job. I'm sure I could have gotten a water heater cheaper at a home improvement store, but I was not about to put a gas water heater in myself.

We Do Water Heaters Plumbing Service
They were the only ones to really take a sincere and genuine approach to my water heater emergency. When it was overflowing and getting everywhere I felt like other places weren't taking my panic into consideration. We Do Water Heaters was there for me, calmed me down, walked me through the steps on turning my water off and reassuring me everything was okay after I completed the steps.
After they helped me with that fiasco, they told em they would make sure to get me in the next morning. Unfortunately I needed a new water heater which was more expensive than I was hoping but when is anything related to plumbing not?
Every single person here was friendly and helpful. I never felt obligated to buy any upgrades. If I knew how great they were going to be I would have called them first!

The tech that came out was very skillful and knowledgeable.  He was able to locate our problem in our sewer line, it was dug up and fixed in the same day.  Everything was cleaned up and working perfectly.  Great company with a very professional staff from start to finish.  I definitely recommend them!

Carter Plumbing & Heating Plumbing Service
I found Carter Plumbing at the beginning of my remodel and Luke has been so helpful with everything from replacing old angle stops to moving drains/ water lines to installing a new utility sink in the garage and extending our gas stub from the garage to the crawl space for our new gas appliances. He also helped me choose a tankless gas hot water heater and installed it. He's been very flexible with scheduling in and around the chaos of a full remodel and has worked well with my other sub-contractors. I'm so glad I found Luke and will certainly continue to utilize his services in the future.

Dave and his team were awesome. I was looking to replace an old stove top range and they provided exactly what I was looking for. I called Dave and his team were at my house 5 minutes earlier than scheduled ready to work the next morning. His guys were quick and easy, coming in under his estimate, which was well below other estimates I received.  I will definitely be contacting Maple Valley Plumbing again when needed.

Price Busters Plumbing & Sewer Plumbing Service
I got a leaking pipe on my water heater on Saturday. Called several plumbers, and managed to fallback on Price Busters Plumbing once again who answered my call. They were able to slot me in their Monday schedule. Daniel came and found the issue and fixed them promptly and recommended me to replace all the bad synthetic piping that is causing me much grief with brand new copper ones. Decided to change the expansion tank which will expire within a year or so. Everything was done promptly and professionally, had a good time talking with Daniel too.  Overall, the service costs were reasonably priced and I would use them if I ever have any plumbing issues (hopefully not anytime soon).

Jafco Plumbing and Sewer Plumbing Service
Our 1977 built condo realized that its outgoing drains were deteriorating.  We had an emergency repair done in March 2020 which was costly.  But it encouraged us to examine all our outgoing drain pipes and collect 3 bids for repair.  Jafco Sewer Repair won the bid and was clearly very organized, thorough on rexamining each pipe, and suggested lining the pipes while they still were not totally deteriorated (this option saved us a bundle).  We negotiated a discount and planning began.  The project took 11 days and did require a lot of coordination within the condo, but Jafco was so responsive throughout the project that it got done.  Josh, our project manager was on site often and even down in the holes.  The crew worked tirelessly and the job looks great...inside the holes and now outside.  The crew was polite and handled any critical residents with aplomb.  A big sewer project requires inconviences which Jafco and our Board tried to minimize.  But you cannot please everyone.  If you have sewer work...hire Jafco Sewer Repair!  You will not be disappointed.

NOPE NOPE NOPE NOT ANYMORE

I hired them for 2 jobs in the past, but job #3 (today) was a disaster.

The job: fix a leaking bathroom sink faucet handle, and fix a leaking drain assembly in another bathroom. Somehow, this simple job turned into a disappointing saga of mismatched finishes, overpriced installs, upsells, and probably a few outright lies.

Sink #1:

The leaking handle faucet (apparently?) was said to have a broken cartridge. Did cartridge replacements go out of style? Apparently the whole faucet had to be nuked from orbit.

Of course, a new faucet from the truck is $395 for the hardware and the installation. Top Gun, you DO know that faucets cost $50 at Home Depot, right? I would have bought a faucet ahead of time if I had known that you would want to replace the whole thing and if I had known that your faucets are lined with diamonds and cost more than my wedding band.

If you subtract $50 (the cost of a similar faucet at Home Depot) from the $395 cost for the faucet and installation combined, that leaves $345 for something that took one hour to install. That's RIDICULOUS.

Sink #2:

The truck also only provides chrome finish drain covers ($180 for the assembly and installation). My sink looked stupid with a brushed nickel faucet and shiny chrome drain cover.

I had to pitch a fit and call the plumber back - really, I just wanted him to return the plastic stalk with the drain cap on top (which he took with him) so I could try to put it back in myself, but he offered to replace the (perfectly fine) faucet for $140 so the drain cover and faucet looked the same. Yes, this adds up to $320, even though it was the same work and same parts as the previous sink ($395). Why was the first sink $75 more? I don't know, maybe you only get a discount on the second one.

Now, what I want to know is why the former brushed nickel drain cap and drain collar couldn't be used with the new drain assembly so that the faucet wouldn't also have to be replaced to match. Presumably, the new drain assembly is the same size as the old one since they fit in the same hole. I uploaded a photo of the pieces, because I think Top Gun's plumber just ripped us off here.

I wasn't there, and I'm really mad now that I wasn't. My husband supervised this job but he's not as handy and didn't know to ask about cartridges and swapping the nickel drain pieces. I think the plumber knew he didn't know and used it as an opportunity to upsell brand new chrome fixtures.

I would have canceled the job on the spot when the guy said the faucet would be $395 but we close on this house in less than 2 weeks and we're out of time for nonsense.

I was happy with Top Gun's water line and hot water tank and those were competitively priced with the other quotes I got at the time and lacking in the kind of bullshit on display here, but I won't be calling Top Gun again for anything. This was way too stressful and way too overpriced.

This formerly happy customer was so confident Top Gun would handle job #3 right that I didn't even bother to shop around. Now I'm just pissed and spreading the word.

James and Thoren came out on short notice working around the time I needed to go pick up my son from school and were very friendly, courteous and knowledgeable about the issue presented. I was very pleased with the responses of this company and the 2 people who came out to manage the emergent issue with my toilets clogging the same day as I called.
Thank you so much Thoren and James.

Robison Plumbing Service Plumbing Service
I bought a water heater from this company before, and the plumber was a very nice man and efficient. In last October, we damaged the shutoff valve in our garage. After a Robison plumber repaired the valve, he said I'll give you $100.00 off for a new frost free pipe, and I said OK.  He spent about five minutes to install the pipe. He then prepared an invoice in my kitchen, and the price of the pipe and its installation was $214.05 AFTER the $100.00 off. I didn't argue, because he was much larger than I was and meaner looking. I then checked The Lowes and found the exact pipe at $55.00 resale! After I complained to Robison by E-mail, Tom Bozeman offered me a $100.00 discount toward a future repair. (They can reduce the price by additional $100.00, if you complain, and still make enough profit.) For the obvious reason, I didn't want to hire Robison again. Instead, I wanted a $100.00 credit toward my credit account that they charged to. Eventually, I ended up in submitting a price dispute to my credit company, CITI. Robison claimed that I approved the pipe installation and signed the invoice in the garage prior to the installation, which was a lie. (I'll be more than happy to take a lie detector test at anytime.) Apparently, after a few months, my credit company didn't want to deal with Robison any more. So, CITI, not Robison, credited my account for $100.00 as a valued member reward. Although, Robison gave me a senior citizen discount, I'm sure they took advantage of me in this case of $55.00 pipe and its installation. Yes, I did receive a $100.00 credit from my credit company. I just wanted to warn the others, who may be thinking of hiring Robison Plumbing, that what they did to me may happen to them as well, especially if you are a senior citizen. I always communicate with E-mails to keep evidence. I was surprised how Tom Bozeman communicated with me comparing to the other customer representatives. It's very unfortunate when a business takes a chance of losing much valuable customer trust over some money. The plumber didn't clean the mess. I did.
