Otter Plumbing & Construction LLC was established by Shane Rasmussen and his wife Mary in 2021 in Maple Valley, Washington With over 18 years as a plumber, and a licensed journey level PL01 plumber we have the knowledge and experience to assist you in all of your plumbing needs.
ABOUT BUSINESS OWNER
I have over 18 years experience as a licensed PL01 journey level plumber. I was fortunate enough to get my start in plumbing at the age of 19. During my 18 years i have spent 10 years as a service plumber and the other 8 years running commercial plumbing work, including being responsible for up to a 15 person crew. During that time I learned a lot about plumbing code and how to design build plumbing systems. I have done plumbing work from changing parts in a toilet to plumbing in miles and miles of water, sewer and gas pipe.

Good work, excellent efficiency, and great communication from Otter plumbing! We had to get all of our pipes replaced and we are really glad we went with this company. Mike and his guys did some great work!
Mike and Tyler showed up on time, reviewed the project with me, and got to work immediately. I have my water shut off valve in a basement closet and it is an old twist knob that was about 7ft high. I asked them to replace the shut off and install a quarter turn valve. I also asked them to lower it a couple feet so my wife can access the shut off without a stool. All work completed in under an hour, including removing drywall and cleaning up the area. Definitely will use Otter Plumbing again.
My toilet was running, I sent Otter an email and they responded right away and had an opening the next day , they showed up in the window time frame , we're polite and courteous, and professional. Evaluated my issue and gave me a reasonable quote. Had my toilet repaired within the hour. I highly recommend them. They are also a local company to maple valley which is important to me.
I was doing a huge updating project in my house that was not going well. I reached out to Otter Plumbing regarding installing new sinks and faucets in my kitchen, master bath and powder room as well as a new garbage disposal. They were able to quickly come in, complete the project so we were able to use our bathrooms and kitchen again and even identified and corrected an issue with the plumbing under my kitchen sink that would have prevented my new faucet from working properly if left as is. Shane was super knowledgeable, kept me informed and provided recommendations and ideas to ensure i was getting the result i was after. The end result was perfect, exactly what i wanted, done in a very timely manner and at a reasonable cost. I completely recommend them and will use them again when the need arises!

We recently bought a home and noticed that the bath water in the upstairs master bath was slightly discolored, so we reached out to Otter Plumbing to see if they could pinpoint the issue. Working with Shane, he was able to diagnosis the problem pretty much over the phone with the help of some pictures of the water. His knowledge of the issue was spot on, the water heater, which was confirmed when Otter was able to come over the next day for a service call. They were very professional and arrived right on time for our agreed appointment. They confirmed the water heater was the issue and were able to quote us a very reasonable rate for a replacement compared to other companies we had looked at. The installation process was quick and the company did a fantastic job in verifying that the new water heater fixed the issue, and that we were satisfied with the quality of work. They cleaned up the area, better than when they started the job, and made sure all the old equipment was removed. All in all, we would defiantly use Shane and his team at Otter Plumbing again, and would recommend them to others.
