My issue was pretty simple - a clogged main line. But they responded ASAP, came out the same day, did the work conscientiously and thoroughly, and went above and beyond to get the job done right. Thanks, guys!

They did a great job of fixing a pipe plugged by a broken backflow valve. Jose Luis was professional and thorough in fixing the problem.

Michael was  on-time, helpful, and most importantly honest. I had trouble identifying and removing a shower diverter valve. He was able to promptly identify the brand (American standard) and the necessary tools and resources to remove the valve that I had been wracking my brain over for a week. He also gave me a clear idea of any future work that might be necessary. Strongly recommend this plumber for his professionalism and expertise.

We had a whole house drainage problem all of a sudden and discovered we only had a 2 w/d cleanout not a 4 main line cleanout.  
They squeezed us into their schedule very quickly, and the worker crawled under our house to get a layout of the pipes.  Once he confirmed all bathrooms were indeed affected, he drew a simple diagram to show us where the clog was between (which was in the way out to the sewer line).  
They then created a new cleanout for us at the exact right location (which was NOT in line either s in the sidewalk), and flushed out the clog, verifying that the 60 year old drain was still in good shape and unobstructed.  
They laid tarp to minimize any mess, cleaned up, and explained things well to us.
I feel fortunate we connected with them!

I had a DIY project on Sunday and as part of it had to change toilet angle stop - alas the newly installed part ended up leaking. I was worried about ruining the floor, so rather than buying new part and/or starting over again called Local Rooter & Plumbing, and within couple of hours Tai was there. He told upfront how much would it cost (and kept it that way), replaced the valve which I damaged by over-tightening, explained what was the problem besides that, and overall was very nice to do business with.

Great communication, came out right away and snaked our super clogged secondary line! Great job. Tech named Tu was great.

Great service yesterday morning in San Mateo. Met J.R. who was friendly, efficient, and explained the problem to me clearly.

The day after Christmas our sewer drain was backing up into our bathtub.  First plumber never called back so we called Joe and he called back right away.  He was very busy but said he would come by after 5 pm.  He snaked us clean from the roof vent, said we may have a tree root problem but didn't try to oversell us.  One week later we had the same backup and he responded within an hour and snaked the drain clean again(no additional charge). He showed us with the camera where the tree roots were and came back 2 days later, installed a clean-out and bored the roots out. He charged us less than the original quote and was very professional.

Marlon responded very quickly.  His quote was very reasonable, and he had a personable and professional manner.  I had heard gurgling from the drain near my washing machine.  He tried to snake it, but apparently the cleanout was placed incorrectly above the trap, and the snake wouldn't curve upwards.  There was also no roof vent to use.  He had a smaller snake that did work enough to clear the problem.  Marlon and his helper didn't seem like most plumbers I've had who usually are in a rush.  He wanted to do a thorough job.  I will definitely use him again.

They performed the work at a reasonable price.  Good people, good work ethic.

I had a really bad experience with these guys. Very similar to A S. review. Their plumber came and immediately doubled the quote price for a clogged kitchen drain. I was like whatever since he was there. An hour later, he couldn't fix the clogged and will return tomorrow and will charge me more. He then asked for the full repair cost. I told him I can't pay him since he didn't fix my problem. He was adamant that I should pay but I told him you will be back tomorrow to fix the issue and can pay then. After talking to his boss, we agreed to a contract and then I will pay. A S. Posted his review an hour later and I felt these guys try to hustle me. I knew then these guys will not step foot in my home. I ended up calling SJ main and drain. Their plumber fixed my clogged within 15 minutes and charged me half. Stay away from these guys.

Steve was exceptional from the from the start.  He responded to my yelp inquiry within 20 minutes and came to the house a few minutes ahead of the agreed on time.  Steve assessed my issue within a few minutes, a water main leak between the water meter and the front lawn.  What I appreciate about him is that he took time to provide options.  He said that we could replace the pipe from the meter to the house (very expensive) or that we could try and replace a short segment of line that he suspected was the problem.  His judgement was excellent and saved me lots of money.  Steve is honest, very hard working, kind, and polite.  He is going to be my plumber going forward.  He gets my highest recommendation.

Steven was fast punctual very professional usually they give you a time frame of 5 hours on when they would be able to arrive he gave me an exact time and he was early amazing I loved that I dont have 5 hours to wait for a plumber anyways like I said 5 stars very clean and professional

This review is for a commercial space. Crown Plumbing was referred to me by San Jose Drain and Main as they don't do commercial. I have a backed up pipe that every time a toilet gets flushed, it is coming out at the floor drain (eew).

I called them today, 11noon, Shane arrived within the hour, told him the run down in 2 mins then he started working. Got it going in about an hour. He told me what the issue was (someone flushed a bunch of wipes- previous tenant, we are new).

So basically, all it took was 2 hours. I started for a plumber since last Friday and with the shelter in place order, it was quite difficult to get a hold of someone. I will be using them again, their number definitely will get plastered on the wall who to call in case of plumbing issue.

This is a messy job but Shane made it professional. Thank you kindly, you get my recommendation.

The service is great. Did a excellent job in fixing our shower valve and toilet base leaking issues.

Very responsive and solid service.  I called All Go Plumbing just before their closing time and they still came to unclog the stuck drain.

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. I called for a simple service which probably would not have taken a long time at all. Since it was so easy, I believe that's the reason they were willing to come... Until he found out that I lived in a condo building. At that point, he rejected my business and told me to call someone else! Wow! They should probably state that they don't like to do business with condos on their website so people don't bother to call them.

Don't believe their website either when they say they are open 24-7. I called last night and didn't get a call back until the morning after. How does a business claim to be open 24-7? False advertising.

Good thing I didn't hire them because he was going to charge me $125 for something so simple!!!
