I have contacted West Austin Handyman twice now for a couple of pool issues related to damage that resulted from the freeze that happened a while ago. He responded quickly and did not waste any time to order the part I needed and have it installed.
The second time I was not in town, but he was willing and able to go to the house and diagnose the issue and again ordered and installed the part quickly.
I am looking to use him as my go to handyman for my rental properties due to his great communication and efficiency. I recommend others use him too.

We have a contract to buy a condominium and wanted to hire a plumber to inspect the cast iron pipes with a drain camera. The first plumber we hired was unable to get his camera working after two visits. The option period was about to expire and used Yelp to find Accurate Leak and Line. I called midday and asked if they had appointments that day. They were booked but offered to come out the next business day. That didn't work, since it would be after the option period expired. I told that to the woman answering the phone. She was wonderful and made some calls to her team to find a tech for that day. She came back and offered someone who could be there within the hour! The tech showed up on time, was extremely efficient and knowledgeable and gave a great assessment of the pipes at a fair price.
What a fantastic experience. I can highly recommend using their service.

Highly recommend Legit Plumbing. I had an unusual problem with my toilet, and Sam had to do a lot of research to come up with a solution that worked. I think his pricing is fair, and they did an excellent job. Happy to call him if I need any more plumbing work done.

DO NOT HIRE THESE PEOPLE!
Worst experience with any contractor ever!! They showed up late every single day so it took them 7 days to complete probably a 2 day job. Then they would leave for several hours at a time. They would say they were on the way and would still take 2+ hours to show up. Cannot stress how bad this experience was...Do yourself a favor and do not call these guys.

Had a call from a tenant last Friday at 11:30 am...all toilets/tubs were backed up in the house and could not be used. I called fast plumbing...they committed to be there by 2pm, showed up, identified the issue as a main log clog, pulled a toilet and ran an auger through the main line and cleared the clog by 3:30pm. Although I did not shop around int his case, the cost ($315) was about what I expected for an emergency call of this nature. They also gave me $25 off for making my request online. I will call them again should I have an emergency plumbing need in the future.

I contacted Stellar Plumbing first because of their awesome reviews, and they did not disappoint! Eligio and Javier came out to our house to service our kitchen sink disposal, and also look at some water pressure issues we were having with our Jacuzzi tub and sinks in our master bath. They both were knowledgeable, professional, prompt and SO extremely nice! Great rates, great work done in a timely fashion - I would highly recommend Stellar Plumbing to anyone looking for exceptional plumbing work in the Austin / Round Rock area.

I ended up calling Greenwave after I was disappointed with the company our First American Home Warranty had sent out. The guy turned off the water at the street because the shut off valve on the water heater leaked and we just kept on losing water. The rep was rude and started quoting code requirements that I knew were not applicable to my area. I called some builder friends of mine and one of the plumbers I spoke with, who was too busy to get to me gave me Michael Thigpen's number. Michael came out and gave me an estimate. Said he could go back to his shop and get a unit and installed later that evening. By then we had been out of water for two days. That's because the first contractor and our warranty company left us high and dry. Michael came back later that day and installed the unit and ended up walking out of there at 8 pm. Eddie who works the phones and takes the appointment called me several times to give me updates on when Michael would be getting to the house. I couldn't have asked for better service.

After looking through all the plumbing pages and Yelp reviews, I felt a little overwhelmed. There were so many options and I wasn't sure who I wanted to do the work on my house. I needed my sewer line repaired-- which is not cheap, by the way. I wanted to make the right decision when it came to this kind of investment. Finally as I went through the list and called Decker Plumbing, they were the most helpful, informative, and experienced. They got to my house 10 minutes early too. My only complaint is not finding them sooner. I have to say they did a great job! I would definitely use them again for plumbing in the future.

Let me put the bottom line first: Excalibur scheduled me in quickly, Thomas fixed the problems in a very timely manner, and I got a better discount. This is why I keep using this company - they're good!
Of course it always happens when you're getting ready for work. My shower stopped draining, AND the toilet started leaking at the base, so something was going on.
I've been using Excalibur for several years, and have a deal in place from Angie's List, so I called Excalibur and was given a time frame between 11 and 1. About 9:30 I called back to see if anyone could come out sooner and they bumped me up to between 10 and noon.
Thomas got to the house, took a look and listened to what had happened. He set up a machine outside to go through and chew up whatever was causing the clog. It took him about 20 minutes and everything was cleared out. He tested all the drains and they were draining fine.
In addition to getting the job done quick and right, Thomas also gave me a better discount than the one I had with Angie's List.

Call someone else. We had a sewer line clog, and I called AAA Auger after browsing the Yellow Pages and telling myself, Oh yeah--I see those trucks all over the place, so I bet they can get here really fast and won't be strict 8 - 5 guys like some smaller plumbing outfits. That was a mistake.
Like so many others have related here, they got their cable stuck and couldn't get it out. So then they want to use the camera to see what's down there, the condition of the pipes, where the cable is stuck, etc. I hesitate, because it's an additional $150, but end up telling them to go ahead. Mistake #2, because it really didn't improve the situation at all.
Finally, they grossly underestimated the scope of the work. We had old fiber conduit pipe that can't be repaired, has to be replaced, and AAA gave me an estimate for up to 35' of replacement for over $3k.
The good plumbers (the ones I called after AAA left) beat that price by nearly 30%. Then--when they found that the entire line (more like 60') had to be replaced, they still beat AAA's quote by over 500 bucks. I shudder to think what would've happened when AAA came back and said, Oh wait--we got 25 more feet of line to replace. Let me check on a new estimate.

Confirmed an appointment, waited for hours and was told they didn't hear back from me. Worst communication and customer service ever. I'd steer clear of this place.

Had a very bad experience with this company. They are supposed to fix leak of my jacuzzi within 1.5 hrs.. since urgent they quoted 475$. However when the person showed up.. spent may be 20 min including trips to his truck to tell us about leak.. which we already showed photo. Did not want to fix , mentioning that they only detect leaks.. after 3 min discussion he charged us 375$ and has not provided any report yet.. when we tried to call they gave excuses of upcoming holiday, after holiday busy and are yet give us a report that we already paid 4.5 days ago with showing more pictures of where leak is happening .. I guess.
In our last ring they even hung up the phone. Be wary of them.. we have been most patient and accommodating knowing we are being stripped for nothing .. yet there behavior before paying and after is different.
I would strongly advise to beaware of this provider when ordering a service from them

2 Stars for showing up at the time they said between 9:30-10am. Polite and then the rudeness starts when I'm told I need a new unite outside right away without even doing any kind of testing. I asked just to check unit and what it may need just to get it to run. He did check the system and still tells me I need a completely new system. Ok how much? Boom estimate was at $9000.00. Or out of three options which were still in the thousands lowest was 4-5 thousand. I declined the offers. Says I can finance it. I'm game lets see what banks they use well not very good ones Ally and goodleap. Ally is ok I guess but Goodleap is terrible they are involved with companies that declared bankruptcy and are being sued. My credit isn't bad just thin cause of recent truck purchase and new line of credit plus hard pulls. So I get declined from both. My wife did hers she has no credit, right away approved for 25k from Goodleap the 9,000 we need would be over $280 a month for 16 years! Someone with no credit should not be given that much. We declined as well of course. After that he asks well how much do you have in savings? What the ever lasting hell? Who asks that from people you don't know? He then talks to a manager who doesn't get why I don't take the loan. Who would if you knew financial stuff like this. When no deal was made he became offended and just took off saying very child like remarks like oh you know everything about credit and finance while guy(Lorenzo) is on the phone and you gonna let your wife suffer the heat? And the best remark when he was leaving I work to hard to live in heat! He left so quick he forgot his tool bag I had to call the company and let them know. He came back for the bag. Be very careful with the financing with them. Found another company and they gave a much lower estimate with in house financing at low low apr with well know bank. Shop around folks.

Answering service said they didn't service area they show they have an office. Had to call and follow up myself to try to schedule service.
After successfully ci firming they did service my area (and allegedly have an office less than a mile from my house), they also confirmed they could perform the work I was requesting and would have a free service call to evaluate. They required a 4 hour service call window, so I did a a 2pm-6pm window. After taking off a half-day to accommodate, I finally got a call at 6:30pm. The plumber simply told me they did not offer the service I needed (installation of a studor vent because my older house did not have a p-trap or vent for the washing machine drain). He told me at that time that they do not offer the service and he could quote the price to remove the faulting running trap and install a new one. I informed him I was not certain I even had a running trap, to which he said I probably did. I asked that he still come out to assess the situation just so verify. He fumbled around and said he would have to call his supervisor. He called back 5 minutes later and said it would be $12,850 to replace the running trap (that he didn't even know if I had). I asked that he still come out to look at it, and he said it would be $499 just to run a camera. No thanks, obviously a company that doesn't care about customer or the work.
Got a local small business to come out that next day, ran a camera for $75 to confirm I DID NOT even have a running trap, and they installed a new washing machine box, p-trap, and studor vent for less than $500.
Obviously a company that has grown too big to provide good service - have a 3rd party answering service that doesn't even know their service area, and plumbers that will do anything they can to avoid adhering to the service calls when their day is running long.
