Our 7-year-old Rinnai tankless water heater was flashing code 11 and not producing hot water. Casa Mechanical told us to buy a new Rinnai unit and have Casa Mechanical install it. Casa Mechanical said a 7 year old unit was too old!.
I called Rinnai and they said their units usually last over 20 years, and that code 11 issues can be resolved by a skilled plumber by troubleshooting a few issues, the most likely issue being a problem with the ignitor.
I called a AAA Auger plumbing services. Spoke to Dave who gave me an appointment the NEXT DAY (excellent). Trent came along with a trainee. Trent opened the Rinnai unit, CLEANED the ignitors by wiping them with a dollar bill (!) and the problem was solved.
I saved myself about $4,000 by NOT LISTENING to advice from Casa Mechanical.
AAA Auger will be my go-to plumbing service provider in the future.

Another five star experience from Auger. We had a super clogged sink and immediately called auger to see if they could help. While they originally quoted us as not being able to arrive in two days, they actually were able to get someone in immediately because they found out that we have two children under the age of two. This was incredibly helpful. Jordan arrived on the same day of the call was really helpful informative fast and efficient. I will always use this company for any of my plumbing needs.

We've had problems with our master bathtub faucets for several months. I think AAA Auger Plumbing was the 4th plumber or company to come out to check the issue. As soon as the leasing company contacted AAA Auger, Stephen 'Steve' came out, explained the issues and came back the same week to fix it. He was able to fix what others couldn't!! He and everyone at this company have been respectful, efficient, and responsive. Thank you!!

These guys are wonderful.  On Christmas Eve we had a pipe break, and they sent a plumber out to fix it and get our water back on.  Then on January 19th we found we had no hot water.  AAA Auger plumber Wayne came out and diagnosed the problem quickly.  He showed me that the pilot had gone out and gave his best assessment as to why.  He easily lit the pilot and got us some hot water for the night.  Realizing that my water heater was very old, Wayne asked me if I wanted to just fix the pilot or if I wanted to replace the hot water heater since it was so old.  I was worried it would end up breaking and the water would be all over my floor, so I told him to put in a new hot water heater. I wanted an old fashioned one because I could not afford a tankless one and he did not give me a hard time about that at all.  He gave me the pros and cons of each and then had a new one installed the following morning at a fair price. I had just had back surgery and they moved everything that needed to be moved and put it all back bin place before they left.   They were courteous, respectful and prompt.  I would give Wayne and AAA Auger 10 stars if I could.

We weren't able to reignite our water heater ourselves. AAA was able to get someone out to us the next morning (much sooner than the dozen of other plumbing services I called) and was able to fix the issue within minutes! Thank you!

This is a really decent plumbing company. Several years ago they showed up on a Saturday afternoon and fixed a slab leak that took two guys all of that day and a good part of Sunday to fix.

A couple of years ago they replaced my hot water heater the day I discovered it was broken (which happened to be the day our new washer and dryer were delivered).

This Sunday I came home to a clogged the sink by from too much down the garbage disposal with not enough water. I tried plunging and then poured in a good bit of Drano. Couldn't budge the plugged sinks.

This excellent company doesn't charge extra for weekends. I called and they said they'd call me as soon as one of their people got done with the call they were on. A little while later I noticed (after I had my wife take all the stuff from under the sink) that the drain had cleared completely by itself (with the help of the Drano). After running enough water to make sure the drain was completely cleared, I called. As I started to explain that I didn't need them, the doorbell rang. It was their technician. I told him I thought they were going to call first and that I didn't need him. He smiled and said great. I said there's no charge is there?. He smiled again and said One hundred dollars but laughed and said no, have a nice day with a big smile.

Great company that practices excellent customer service.

Wayne and Juan were absolutely amazing. They came and dug out a broken main pipe from my house that was flooding our front yard. They were efficient and took the time to do it correctly, where apparently the last people that fixed it did a half ass job.
I would recommend them to anyone! They were super professional and personable! Definitely call them the next time your in need of plumbing services!

We had a pipe under the kitchen sink disintegrate around 10pm one night. Our usual plumbing services were closed. I called another who connected us with a plumber who couldn't see us for several days, meanwhile the pipe is continuing to gush the remaining water onto our floor and we're without hot water. I click on the Google search ad for AAA Auger and a very nice man answers and takes my information. He also says they're backed up but can get someone to us tomorrow afternoon.

We get a call at 9am the next day and a plumber is there in 20 minutes. He was a pro, wore a mask, and quickly fixed the issue. 30 minutes and less than $200 later we have hot water back. Very happy with this service!

This company doesn't even deserve one star. Two days ago our water heater failed.  I immediately called AAA Auger since we had used them before.
They came  right out and then told us it would be $2500.  The repair person that came out was not able to break down the quote.  We had to call the office and wait for someone to email us the breakdown. They were not willing to commit on what brand of water heater that would be installed.  We felt this was way to high, but considering the times we said ok.  They were to install the next day.

I got on our neighborhood site and asked for recommendations for plumbers to replace water heaters. I received several plumbers names and the folks also said they paid around $1400.  Needless to say we cancelled with AAA.  The next morning another company called back, came out and installed the heater.  We saved well over $1000.

So AAA AUGER SHAME ON YOU FOR PRICE GOUGING CONSUMERS DURING THESE TRYING TIMES. THERE IS NOTHING YOU CAN SAY TO EXPLAIN AWAY YOUR $1000 OVER CHARGE EXCEPT YOU ARE GREEDY!!

The gentleman that showed up to service our water heater were extremely friendly and they are flexible with scheduling however this is the second time I have dealt with Andrea in the office. Both times she was extremely rude and unprofessional. She actually said I don't think you heard me and repeated herself rudely when I heard her perfectly fine lol, she was not hearing what I was saying. I reported it to my property management company as well since they seem to use AAA frequently.

I hate to post a 1 star review, but I want to give an accurate rating and explanation so others will be informed before committing time and resources.

The 1 star earned is actually for responsiveness in the appointment making process. I requested quotes on Yelp and got a response very quickly asking me to go online or call to make an appointment for a consult. I then called to make an appointment and they were able to get me in the very next morning. They called me at 7am and I didn't call back until a little after 8am, but they were still able to send someone over in the next hour.

Unfortunately, that's where the positives ended in my experience. When the plumber came in, he was not super friendly. That would be fine if he communicated effectively, but he did not. At no point did he give any other option than paying him $137.50 to come out and tell me I don't have strong flushing toilets. He adjusted the chains on my toilets and told me I should replace them. He then said, I guess I'll run my auger through them since I'm here, but you'll need new ones if you want them to stop clogging up. The only way I actually know he ran his auger through them is the mess he left behind on my floors, because they have indeed clogged up again and again since his visit. They have actually clogged up more since his visit than ever before! He even wrote on the receipt, no warranty, will clog up again. He also quoted me $900 to install two toilets if I buy toilets and provide them for him to install.

At no point was this treated like a no charge consultation. It was presented more like there was a flat fee for coming out, so he would fiddle with the chains a bit and at least give the appearance of doing something helpful to earn the $900 job he really wanted to do. The lack of truth in advertising or lack of accurate communication by the plumber on-site is my main issue. The kicker is the fact that whatever he did do while he was here did not help at all and possibly made things worse.

Be careful if you choose to have them out for a consult so you don't end up spending money for nothing.

Good ole Harrold came over to unclog our sink. He managed to do so, but in the process his 20yr old auger scratched the hell out of our white oak floors. When I asked him about it, his response yea, I've got a mat I'm supposed to use, but I never do.
I couldn't make this up, that is really what he said....call someone else, don't call them.

Terrible , horrible customer service or total lack of the same.  I have used these folks before and always found them expensive but this time around all I was looking for was a quote for services required.
First available Quote service was 3 days after my call. On the day of the service , I was called and told at 11 am that no plumber was available immediately and I would be posted. Same story line at 3 pm - having my whole day wasted - I rescheduled that service call for today Sunday and was told it would be around 1 pm. Its 3.38 pm and not a word, not a call !!
My sincere advise - for all those looking to get service - avoid these folks with a 10 foot barge pole and run !!

I needed a water heater replacement for the house. They sent out Bryan for a free estimate and I told him I was getting 2 more bids. But after getting the run around and another guess estimate from other plumbing companies, I called back to Bryan within 2 hours to get it done today as I felt the bid was a fair price.
Bryan came out with a trainee helper and did an awesome job.

After wrapping up payment with my landlord over the phone. Landlord suggested getting a bid on replacing PVC flange under toilet. But since the ticket was closed out the cost would be more than if it was done that day on the same ticket. So the following week called and talked to The manager Nick who wanted to charge the new order base price, but settled on the difference with landlord.
Bryan came out and did an awesome job!
Bryan is a Veteran with a great work ethic and didn't quit til it was done right.

Had an ok experience. I had sent a message here on Yelp last night and Jose was out here less than 12-hours later. Man on the phone (David?) was very courteous and helpful.

Jose was quiet and didn't say much, I would have liked a little more warmth (even Hi, how are you? is nice!)

Pros: Jose resolved the issue, quietly closed doors and avoided excess noise, and was careful.

Cons: Jose left the job site a mess. Standing water left onthe bottom of cabinets, pipe exteriors totally messy, and dirt everywhere. It's a good thing I checked quickly after he left or else permanent damage could have been caused. I would appreciate the job site being cleaned up or at least Jose telling me how he left it.

I believe the cost was fair as well and fell within estimates I had read online prior, however, I will not use AAA Auger again given that I know other plumbers will tidy up prior to leaving.

I cannot believe AAA got my disposal working again! This thing had been jammed forever and I swore I was going to have to replace it. In fact, I'd had another plumbing service come out before AAA and tell me that the disposal was rusted solid and needed to be replaced and gave me a $450 quote for that. I decided to get a second opinion and picked AAA because I sent out several bids via Yelp and liked the owner's response.

The plumber that showed up was confident he could unjam it and, because I had that other quote already, I was trying to convince him that I just needed to replace it and kept pushing him to give me a quote for that.

Boy am I glad I let him convince ME to let him try to unjam it. He did it! And it saved me hundreds in replacement.

Thank you AAA for having a plumber on staff who knows his stuff and didn't let me push him into replacing it.

I've used AAA Auger a few times over the years, and they've always been great. Most recent was to replace a leaking hose bib for the washing machine. Theoretically we could have done this ourselves, but we found about 10 different permutations of the part at Lowes and decided we didn't want to mess around with going back-and-forth to the store nine times to get it right. Our work schedules make appointments a pain, but we called AAA Auger at 6pm on a Monday and Jordan was at our door an hour later. Less than an hour later, it was fixed and perfect. Jordan was friendly and did the job right, at a reasonable price.

24/7 answering service, up-front pricing for your job, no service fee to come out and give an estimate. They do have more junior folks as helpers and apprentices, but the plumber did all the required work and didn't hesitate to show me his license (as I've had other plumbing companies be offended that I asked for their last name to check their credentials)

Front office is sort of a relay service but you eventually get the call backs from the plumbers directly. Also they're good about getting permits and inspections done.

To be clear, they only gave me an estimate.  The tl;dr is that the person who came to give me an estimate didn't listen to my suggestion and quoted me absurd work for an absurd price. I passed. Don't trust their estimate without verifying.

UPDATE: They reached out to me and were very kind. A more detailed version of this is that the estimator basically told me that he would have to cut my foundation to get to the the vent pipe to replace me toilet drain. You could see the pvc elbow not far down in the hole and it looked like there was a bit of additional pvc glued into the sleeve.  I asked if he could just remove that ~2 inch long bit of pvc, put in a longer one, and then I would have a proper toilet drain that I could put a flange on. He said nah they would have to pull permits and cut the foundation to the tune of ~$2800.  I bid him farewell and did it myself for $50.

I woke up this morning to seeing my sprinkler system running in my backyard. Realized I needed to turn off the water to the system since the sprinkler system itself was already off. I called my trusted AAA Auger to ask for help in shutting off the water. Chris said he could send someone or walk me through it. Chris was amazing at explaining what the shut off valve looked like and how to turn it off. I was able to stop the water myself. I've used AAAAuger in the past for my plumbing needs and have always been happy with their service and prices. This is just one more reason to love this business!

Would have liked to give a 4 or 5 star rating but based on a recent experience and lack of follow up it has to be a 3.
Called them out for a stopped up sink issue over the weekend. Late on Sunday a plumber sale out and was able to clear two drains but he was not able to get our drawers in the vanity back the way they were supposed to go. The plumber told my husband he wasn't a carpenter and he couldn't get them back in place. My husband told him his wife wasn't going to be happy and he told my husband let her fix it then. Glad for his sake I didn't hear that.  It wouldn't have gone well. I was most unhappy to have my new vanities out of wack and no matter what  I did I couldn't get them back. The next morning my husband called and spoke with an office manager who guaranteed us we would get a call and someone would come out to fix the problem. They never did. Still have not called. We were able to finally get the vanities fixed after over an hour of messing with them but feel it should be put back in place before leaving. To sum up: good job ok clogs. Poor job on finishing up. Poor job of follow through when promised.

I have a multiple location business where the use of plumbing is vital to its success. AAA Auger in general and Jamie Smith specifically (going on 5+years) are absolute 5+ stars terrific!

Update- Agreed, my initial review was a little too general. I guess what I meant to say was:

AAA Auger was a no call/no show for me the first time I tried to use them. I find that to be terribly unprofessional and wouldn't recommend them to others.

I appreciate the follow up, of course mistakes happen but not calling and not showing up is a big one. Thanks anyway.

Absolute joke DO NOT USE THIS SERVICE. Entirely sexist and way unprofessional. All good reviews have been paid for and are fake. This is the worst company, there are other competitors that do better work for much cheaper.

Thursday morning - no hot water, so we call and get, yes someone can be out later today I work downtown and my girlfriend is a doctor so we make arrangements to be home at the appointed time. 1 hour AFTER the appointment was scheduled a complete moron that can't articulate a sentence calls us to say they will be really late. Well okay we need hot water, at 9:30pm rolls around and another call, we can't make it out tonight, when can we tomorrow? No I can't take ANOTHER day off work so let's schedule for saturday.

Friday - no communication

Saturday - 30 minutes PAST appointment time, we get a call, the guy that can fix it isn't working today so no one can help. Me- unacceptable send someone out. Okay but it will be a couple hours....4 hours later WE call and he explains it will be 3 more hours. No we need hot water

He then rants about how he explained this to the dumb little girl already on the phone about how they don't have anyone working that can fix the problem

Excuse me, dumb little girl? What a total an blatant lack of respect for a job you fell entirely short of. This place should be shut down!

Excellent customer service.

We initially had a bad experience with the first plumber that was sent out. I called Nick Gonzalez (the business manager) and let him know the situation. He performed a thorough investigation of the events and sent out another plumber a couple of days later at no charge to us. I spoke with Nick and David Cross, the CEO of AAA Auger, on a conference call and they completely rectified the situation. AAA Auger went above and beyond to ensure that my needs were met and made sure I was completely satisfied with the outcome. Excellent customer service.

I have one toilet on 2nd floor of my house that has always been problematic ( 16 years )...and I finally got fed up with it plugging up....since nothing seem to work.
I finally called AAA_Auger...
They responded in good time...
Using a hand-driven auger/snake...basically accomplished nothing($187)...and told me I needed a new toilet...which they would install at $350(?)...
I've never known a plumber to not be able to clear a toilet drain and must replace a fixture at such an exorbant price.  Once more...I called for the plumber to speak again...3 times!  Never returned my call

Paul from AAA Auger gave us excellent service in diagnosing and fixing a clogged line. The job wasn't a simple one since the clog was in a rerouted pipe and took extra effort to find. He also spotted a broken pipe at the back of the house and fixed it while he was here. His service was efficient, friendly, and first rate.

I had a sudden failure of a water heater and also had a mysterious leak coming up through the slab, so my landlord called AAA Auger to come investigate, having worked with them before.

I was impressed first with the dispatch service calling me and letting me know what time they would be able to arrive, letting me know they had a full schedule, but assured me that someone would be there. They followed up a couple of hours later to update me and reassure me. I really appreciated that effort.
The  technician, Oscar, showed up and was very pleasant and professional. He introduced himself appropriately, shook my hand. Once he was able to ascertain the issues, he came to let me know what he had discovered, laying out in careful detail what his recommendations were, with alternatives, which he then presented to the homeowner.

Long story short, he and his assistant Jordan, were extremely focused on getting the job done professionally and completely. The first day working til almost midnight to install a new water heater to make sure my family had hot water the next morning. The second day coming back to solve the mysterious water leak, again, working until 9:30pm to complete the job. Oscar and Jordan were fantastic, both professional and patient at all times. I would recommend AAA Auger, and specifically Oscar and Jordan, to tackle any plumbing issue. Thanks guys!

This is customer service done right! I was able to reach them right away and set an appointment for the following morning to service my tankless water heater that had stopped working. They called the following morning to confirm the schedule and then once again when the plumber (Paul Schultz) was on his way. Paul arrived on time, explained what he was doing, and got my water heater back working. He provided up-front pricing that was clear and reasonable.

The only person that I dealt with in this company, with customer service experience, was Cassandra. Anytime something went wrong, she apologized for the plumbers mistake and the other reps mistake. The plumber was never on time with the scheduled appointments that were set. There was always an excuse. It's like, do you guys not want to make money?! Not to mention the quote I was given the first time for my PRV replacement was a couple hundred. The second time around it was $900-$1150!!! I know it doesn't cost $1000 to replace a PRV. I decided to go with another company Cold is on the right plumbing. They will be replacing it for half the price and have better customer service and time management than this company.

Just had Paul and Rocky stop by for a problem with some high water usage. nearly 40 years of experience between the two of them. The water company thought I might have a leak based on my water bill the last 3 months but some rudimentary testing I did determined otherwise... It was time to call the professionals. They were very thorough and nice guys to boot! 10/10 would recommend these guys for service. Oh, and no water leak in the house, which is extremely good news. Time to focus my search to the irrigation system.

I would leave no stars if I could.

Their plumbers and service managers are lazy. They tried to quote me for a job without coming to see what the issue was, because the plumber couldn't be bothered to  come look. When the quote was $2000 higher than a company from San Antonio quoted me (I live in Austin), I questioned it. They then sent the service manager out to my house, I suppose in an effort to salvage their image and smooth the waters. The service manager also couldn't be bothered to actually look into the issue, said he would send me a more appropriate quote, and never did.

I guess they didn't want to take the job, which is fine. But they wasted my time, which is not fine. I can't recommend AAA Auger at all. Don't call them, don't let then waste your time. Don't waste your money on them.

I awoke to water pooling under my carpet and my dresser in the master bedroom.  After a call to Whitney at AAA Auger I was assured she would find me a plumber and let me know when he could be there. In less than an hour she called back to let me know that Darrell - 68 was on his way to my location.

Shortly after Darrell's arrival he found the problem to be a small leak in the cold water pipe for the shower which he professional and quickly repaired.

I have found AAA Auger to be very professional and trustworthy and I would call them again without hesitation.

AAA Auger responded quickly to our call for help. It was reassuring that their office checked in to alert us to the technician Eugene's arrival. He was right on time.
Eugene was a friendly and informative technician. We experienced no pressure, but he fully explained what was necessary and the options open to us. After a brief consultation, I thought that the repair would be scheduled for the following week. Nope, Eugene said he would get started right away.
The repair involved removing bricks in our wall. Eugene did the removal carefully, and he only took two bricks on each side to make the repair. In a couple of hours, he had finished the job, cleaned the whole area, and took time to explain what he had done. The man Eugene is a complete joy to deal with. We had visions of costly repairs and nightmarish scenarios. Eugene made it painless and actually pleasant.
Thank you, AAA Auger Service for sending the A Team Eugene !!
I highly recommend these folks.

When I woke up to an unplanned fountain in my front yard, Bryan Higgins and Lucas Williams came to the rescue. Within an hour of arriving, they located and fixed the leak. There was a minor delay in finding an available plumber but I was kept apprised of the situation and was assured that someone would be at my house before nightfall to solve the problem. I was very happy with their professional services and would use them again.

I have used AAA Auger quite a few times over 15 plus years, mostly because they could often send a plumber the same day.  Recently I had them clear a clogged sewer line at a rent house (cleared it several times actually over a period of several months).  After camera inspection I was told main line was flat in places, with dips and backfall so not draining properly.  I decided to bite the bullet and have them put in new sewer line.  Was told it would take 3-5 days, but it was the week before Christmas, with some rain so I knew it might take a bit longer.  Ultimately it took four weeks before the new line was in and trench was filled in.  Why so long - their plumbing work failed City of Austin inspection twice - including because the new line had insufficient fall (too flat) backfall (dip or upward slope - sewer line should always be running downhill) and improper glue joints - so essentially my new line had the same flaws as the line I was replacing.  Fortunately, the City inspector caught these issues.  So, based on this alone I will not be using AAA Auger again in the future.

In addition to this, my other reasons for not using them again are these: 1) During the above project I told them they could take down a small section of chain link fence to get the digging equipment in the back yard.  After the project was complete, they did not reinstall the fence.  I first emailed manager Nick Gonzales on Jan. 27th asking if someone would be coming back to reinstall the fence - no reply, even though I had replied to an email he had just sent to me.  On Feb. 10th I called the office and asked to speak to him.  After a pause I was told he was unavailable and was asked if I wanted to leave my name and phone number which I did -no call back.  2) Their plumbers get paid a commission and a few times I have been quoted different prices by different plumbers for the same type of job, I'm not comfortable with that and feel it can lead to inflated prices and recommendations for work that may not be necessary.  3) Likely because of the commission structure, each plumber wants to be paid immediately upon job completion so will call and ask for your credit card information right then.  I'm not comfortable giving my credit card information over the phone to a multitude of strangers.  I started telling them that I would call and make my payment through the main office.  I asked several times to set up an account but they always said they couldn't do that - only for commercial accounts.  4) Each time I had work done the only document they would send me was the auto-generated credit card receipt.  Since most work was for rentals, I wanted an invoice showing the date, work location and what work had been done for my records.  I would have to call the office each time asking for this and they always seemed to not know what I was talking about.  A few l times I just gave up and settled for the credit card receipt after asking several times for an invoice and not getting one.

I continue to call AAA Auger because they never disappoint me. Oscar and Junior were no exception. They were very professional when they re-plumbed my entire house after a slab leak. I appreciate that Oscar and Junior gave me enough valuable input to make my decision to go ahead and re-plumb. Work was done on time and at a fair price. I have to say that I have been calling AAA Auger over the past 3 years for various jobs, big and small, and every plumber has been intelligent and respectful.

We had a water leak outside near our water meter.  We discovered it on Christmas Day.
I calked AAA Auger Plumbing Services the next day.  The plumber we usually use could not cone out for two days.  AAA Auger plumbing said they could come in two hours!! They let me know when they were 45 minutes away.  The plumber who came, diagnosed the problem, gave me a price estimate ( which he showed me was listed in a company price guide book,)left briefly to pick up a part, and fixed the problem quickly and efficiently.  I am so impressed with their service and this company is my new go to for a plumber!

The only plumbing service we use. Always a human answers. Latest time Manael got us fixed up, and Jose arrived, early. Manuel called to ask if it was OK for Jose to arrive early, so they have an excellent dispatching system.

Jose was outstanding. He inspected the plumbing and install job that I had done on replacing my mom's garbage disposal, which was not powering up. He advised me about obtaining a fixture to secure the electrical line into the unit, and concluded that I didn't need a plumber but rather an electrician, and he refused to charge me, though he had spent 30 minutes at my house and provided excellent professional advice (confirming my plumbing and install work, and identifying the issue as electrical).

I'm in town from Michigan assisting my elderly mother. She says that she's used this outfit extensively over the years, including a major rework years ago that involved digging a trench through the driveway and replacing the main line. So I didn't feel too bad about not getting a charge for the recent exemplary work. Jose was professional, prompt, and pleasant.

I had a major plumbing repair this past spring.  Tunneling was involved.  Insurance paid for most of it but had some outlay.  While it took longer than I had hoped, they were professional, competent, and did a good job.  They show up on time and get the work done.  Their office staff are friendly and supervisor thorough with follow-up.  I had a full estimate with all services before even starting.  I would recommend them for any plumbing repair you might have.

Kudos to Darrell at AAA Auger Plumbing! In less than one hour he diagnosed and remedied our stopped up pipe problem. This was a response on Mother's Day that began the night before. The person on the 24 hour response line was a big help as well. He gave us some sage advice that made it easier to bear until Darrell arrived. And we got a service discount to boot! Friendly, courteous, timely, affordable, and professional service. Call AAA Auger first!

I called AAA Auger late yesterday evening to inspect another toilet in our home. We have used this company on numerous occasions in the past. Jason Henderson was assigned to respond to our problem. He arrived on time this morning and within an hour he had the situation rectified. He was careful not to leave the bathroom in disarray.  The expense of the service call was reasonable. The plumber was professional and courteous. We highly recommend using this company.

Wayne Mantooth is fantastic at his job with AAA Auger!  Dedicated and hard-working, he came to my home at the appointed time and got right to work trying to figure out where my sewer drainage problem was.  It was not easy... the first thing he tried didn't work, the second thing he tried didn't work.  He asked me more questions about what the back-up was like and how things happened and what else I knew about the house's plumbing lines, etc. and he tried something else.  That didn't work either.  After running tub water in both bathrooms and doing whatever other assessment magic he needed to do, he eventually found the clog and got it working again!  I appreciate his hard work and dedication.  I appreciate that he took ownership of the problem and made sure to follow it through to resolution.  He showed me a tip for the future to help me try to avoid the problem happening again.  I imagine that a smaller plumbing company may have done the job for less, but what I paid seems a reasonable price for the service he provided.  AAA Auger's 24-hour scheduling service, the fact that they come free of charge, and that his estimate was given up-front, and I was not charged a penny more than that estimate is a testament to the great service that they are providing, and he has made a repeat customer out of me.  I highly recommend this company.  They use plumbers who know their stuff, and who are dedicated to getting the problem solved.  Thankful this evening for AAA Auger and Wayne!  Romero was great on dispatch, too.

I had an issue with a clogged waste drain pipe and at first the quote seemed to be a bit off due to my home only being 13 years old so it was difficult for me to accept the level of work that they were stating needed to be done.  The owner called me and said that they would send their master plumber who is in charge of quality control to verify the initial findings at no charge to me.

Long story short, what was quoted as a 14k job turned out to be only a $500.00 repair. What I liked about them is they owned up to making a mistake and did everything possible to fix it with an actual sense of urgency.  Robert (the master plumber) took the time to discuss the results and even showed me what they found via a camera that was placed in my waste drain pipe.

Johnny #63 was the plumber who actually completed the repairs and as promised was on site on time and finished the job in full.

Jaime and Don did an amazing job! My mother was in a difficult situation and Jaime took the time to go over all of her options to get the repair completed professionally at the best price. My mother is an older lady so he needed to repeat her options frequently, showed great patience and was always so friendly. The job ended up taking longer than expected but they followed through with their original quote and stayed into the evening until the job was completed and everything was back in place. The office staff was professional when I called and I believe my mom even called them a few times confused. They were ALWAYS courteous and communication between office and Jaime seemed to be very efficient. I am so thankful for AAA AUGER and happy to know we have a plumber we can trust.

Wow next time you have a plumbing issue call AAA! I have American Home Shield and they dispatched a plumber from a different service who flooded half my bedroom with Drano on a Friday of a 3 day weekend. He was extremely professional and courteous. I highly recommend AAA!

Run far away!  Most unprofessional company.  After third day of being rescheduled, I finally cancelled!!!!  I was very clear that I needed someone on the roof to unclog a gutter.  Guy shows up late and without a ladder after being rescheduled to the next day.  Then, because they show up to a job unprepared, they reschedule me for a third time to the next morning at 8:00 am.  When no one shows, I call them.  Receptionist told me she knew no one would show yet she didn't call.  Really????  And...that the plumber wouldn't be able to get there until 11:00.  So, don't believe their website with same day guarantee!  Ha!  farthest thing from the truth.  Just an all around poor experience!

I like working with this company. They came out to fix my disposal that was clogged with grease. They cleaned it out and got it working again. A few weeks later it was draining slow occasionally with just water, so I called them back out to take a look. They said it was the baffle on one of the pipes and cut it out and the water drained better. They didn't charge me for that visit and service.

They messed me over about 6 years ago, but thought might give them another try because they are so close to my home and they advertise things like same day service and 20 minute quotes, etc.  Well, it's been 48 hours and I still haven't heard from them and my water heater is still broken.  I say they shouldn't advertise what they cannot do.

I called AAA and they sent Harold W. came to fix the leak under the kitchen sink and garbage disposer was making horrible noises.  He came on time and gave us 45 minute phone call beforehand.  He was very cordial and wore shoe coverings. I've called 2 plumbers in the past years for same leaking problem.  Spent ton of money fixing the leak, but problem was never resolved.  Within 15 minutes of his arrival, he figured out the problem and fixed it.  He was so nice and gave us a service discount.  It's been 2 weeks and finally no problems, truly AMAZING!  Call AAA Auger for your plumbing needs, they're on top of their game and provide great service!

I called AAA Auger after finding them on Google for help connecting a kitchen sink drain after my granite was installed. This was the 3rd plumber I called as I had already had 2 that couldn't come as scheduled or were downright unprofessional. I liked that this company didn't pull the price out of their a** and didn't charge for same day service...let me tell u, what u don't pay for in estimates and same day service fees they MORE than make up for in their prices.

I was told an astronomical price of $400 for the hookup. When I pushed back and inquired how it could possibly cost so much I was told the labor and time. I said I couldn't imagine it being more than an hours work to which the plumber responded it absolutely would take well over an hour. Needless to say I did NOT choose to have them complete the work, even after he said he MIGHT be able to do it for $300...still astronomical.

I called another plumber (Make it Drain) who had much better reviews...should've come to Yelp first. They did it for HALF what AAA quoted and guess how long it took? An hour and 15 minutes including a trip to Lowes. Guess I wasn't so far off on my expectation after all.

Skip this place... I should've used Yelp from the beginning

I had a pipe break inside one of my walls and had to cut off my water supply. I live in a small town and called at least 15 closer plumbing places before calling AAA Auger. The other companies either didn't service my area, or said it would be days or weeks before they could schedule me in. After living without water for several days, a relative referred me to AAA Auger and they sent someone as soon as I got off the phone. Isaiah was very quick and did an awesome job, replacing several components of the pipe to make sure it was stable. I now have water and can finally shower, wash dishes, and do laundry. Reasonable prices and really quick response. They saved the day. Thanks y'all!

My experience with AAA Auger was excellent. I was 99% sure I had a leak in my house, and called them to see if they could send someone out to inspect the issue. Very frustrated with AAA Auger.  They came out to fix my clogged drain in my 2 showers.  After waiting till 3 for my 8AM appointment, the service guy came out.  After an an hour and a half no results,  drain problem is worse.  Service tech recommended tunneling.  Seriously.  Called for a 2nd opinion.  200 dollars for nothing except a worse problem.  The plumber I called for a 2nd opinion was booked until next week.  He suggested a Microzyme treatment.  I bought some at a plumbing store, followed directions, this morning everything is draining better than ever.  I will NEVER use AAA Auger again.  It boggles my mind that the technician tried a simple solution (snaking the drain) then went immediately to the most expensive solution tunneling under my house.  Are you kidding me?  I want my money back.

DO NOT call these people if you have plumbing problems, they are not skilled, they are not  cheap.

Let me tell you what happened to us one bleak January day. Our washing machine started to spurt out water from the hose attached to the wall. We called AAA  Auger upon the urging of the washing machine repairman (lousy person to do this to us). We were sent a young guy who in 10 minutes managed to get his snake stuck in the pipe. Didn't evaluate the situation at all. He came in, took out the snake and then said It's $895! For what?

He explained there was a clog but because we had old style pipes, the snake got caught and thus we had to replace the running pipe ( tech #2 kept calling it a P-trap) The job was originally $150 and had he not been such a clusterf*** it would have still been $150.
He called in tech #2. This guy was surly and was not helpful at all. Neither one of them were able to remove the snake. Tech #2 said that it would be $895 to replace the cast iron P- trap the snake was caught in. I asked if it all had to be replaced, why not undo the pipe and get the snake out? They claimed I knew nothing and this could not be done.  Everything must be replaced.

We spoke to their manager and mentioned how unskilled these guys seemed to be and the manager knocked $200 of the $895.  Was this a confirmation? They returned the next day and replaced the pipe.  UGH! I thought they would send out more experience techs. I listened to the conversations they had while under the house from the pipe near the washing machine from inside the house. They said they were just doing a band aid job, they didn't know what pipe went to the kitchen or the bathroom, they had the wrong tools (left the job twice to purchase the right tools and parts) and didn't know what tools to use.

When the job was completed, I confronted them with what I heard verbatim and they denied it all. I asked how long they had beenplumbers and it was a combined total of 7 years with a combined total of 5 years working for AAA Auger. They swore the job would last the lifetime of the house, with eyes big and blank. I hope so. But save yourself a hell of a lot of worry and  call a real plumber. The money you spend will be well spent. I feel we threw money away with Dumb and Dumber.  AAA Auger techs had bad attitudes, sorry customer service and an   obvious lack of skill.

Cast iron running traps and P-traps are still being manufactured and good plumbers know how to approach these and have the proper tools. They could have used a smaller gauge snake we were told by another plumber. When the cast iron pipe was removed, it was obvious that the thing had held up really well over the last 50 years and still had  about 15-20 years left.  Nothing was rusting or rotting away. The clog was lint and pet hair.

They left trash in the crawl space, left trash outside in the yard, left awful stains all over the side of the house and left the crawl space door open. I puke from anger at the sight of one these trucks. I posted a message in the hood listserve asking what experiences others have had. They were all bad, everyone of them pricey repairs that needed a real plumber to come back and fix! STAY AWAY FROM AAA AUGER!

Call someone else. We had a sewer line clog, and I called AAA Auger after browsing the Yellow Pages and telling myself, Oh yeah--I see those trucks all over the place, so I bet they can get here really fast and won't be strict 8 - 5 guys like some smaller plumbing outfits. That was a mistake.

Like so many others have related here, they got their cable stuck and couldn't get it out. So then they want to use the camera to see what's down there, the condition of the pipes, where the cable is stuck, etc. I hesitate, because it's an additional $150, but end up telling them to go ahead. Mistake #2, because it really didn't improve the situation at all.

Finally, they grossly underestimated the scope of the work. We had old fiber conduit pipe that can't be repaired, has to be replaced, and AAA gave me an estimate for up to 35' of replacement for over $3k.

The good plumbers (the ones I called after AAA left) beat that price by nearly 30%. Then--when they found that the entire line (more like 60') had to be replaced, they still beat AAA's quote by over 500 bucks. I shudder to think what would've happened when AAA came back and said, Oh wait--we got 25 more feet of line to replace. Let me check on a new estimate.

We own a food truck, and have had ongoing problems with the gas (leaking, specifically). We had 2 other plumbers come out in April, and they did not fix it correctly. Long story short, the previous plumber's work resulted in a gas leak. Bryan was able to come out the same day, and was so delightful, professional and thorough. He didn't know all of the right answers, so he had his supervisor come check it out too. Bryan went above and beyond our wildest plumbing dreams- he went to three different places for parts and information. He double-checked his work, and explained everything to us. I cannot imagine a better person for the job! Thank you so much, Bryan!

I had a clogged drain pipe and any running water in my house was causing a flood. Hind site - I could have fixed it with a $20 snake from Home Depot.

I literally saw this guy at one of my neighbor's house while I was outside trying to find the problem. He came over, got the job done, and it was hassle free (thank goodness, since I had a flood to clean up). My only complaint is the price was more than their competitors. $167 to snake the drain! I'm glad to know that there aren't any roots growing in my pipes, etc, but certainly wouldn't have minded paying less.

I should have given this review a few years ago. I had a major problem a while back with the city of Austin. Let's just say, I had to go backwards on a building project and have some plumbing work re-done. Man, some of the other plumbers I called wouldn't touch it. It was about 90 feet of sewer pipe that had to be re done to cast iron per city code. AAA came out, and it was Darrell. He was friendly, straight forward, and didn't hesitate to look and get me an estimate. It was not cheap, but I did not expect it to be. I ultimately hired them, and they took care of the job in a day. They saved me from a lot of headache. These guys can handle anything. I would just call them if I had any more emergencies. Darrell was great.

I have used them for years.  Needed them today and they were here in a couple of hours.  Polite, clean, and knowledgeable.  No matter the price, a good plumbing company is well worth having vs. the other options.

Serious issues with sewage! I had numerous plumbers do an overall ineffectual job until Daniel with AAA Auger showed up Saturday evening. He is very knowledgeable and had the water flowing quickly. He really did a great job and it was much cheaper than I expected. When you call them....ask for Daniel. Also, Whitney in the office was very professional. This is a good team!

We recently had these guys out for a horrible odor coming from our sink and washer. Our technician was Nick. I just wanted to say how professional and knollageable he was! They did amazing work while keeping the cleanliness of our home in mind at all times.

We just had a new baby and they were willing to work around our insane schedule. As a business owner myself, I hope to have employees who represent my company in such a way. Very friendly, in uniform at all times and as professional as they come. Thanks you for the service y'all provided!

PS- I didn't get the names of his helpers, but they did a great job as well.

I had an overall good experience with this company. They do seem overpriced but they were the quickest to come over and fix the issue, even on a Sunday. Other companies I called would taken 6 hours to the next day to show up so points there.

I had a busted water main outside the house that wouldn't allow me to turn the water on or off to the property. They came by and replaced the value and put in something from the last 20 years that worked, unlike the cheap stuff the city uses. They cut open the pipes and welded everything back together nicely making it much easier to use now.

The worker was a good guy and finished in a quick manner without trying to get me with additional charges. I'd use them again if I had other urgent problems, hopefully I wont ever have to.

Great customer service from Bryan Higgins at AAA Auger Plumbing. His professional humorous attitude makes it easy to trust his plumbing knowledge. For several years, I have been living with progressively low water pressure and wrongly assumed it was being caused by calcium deposits in water heater, clothes washer inlet valve and bathtub faucet...I also have had a slow drip on side of house from a copper pipe coming inches out of the foundation and had been wondering if it was normal.   Bryan quickly figured out I had two ongoing issues to resolve, a water heater safety and a water pressure issue. Bryan took the time to explain my options. On the safety issue,Bryan explained that the water heater's temperature/pressure relief valve had failed and was the cause of the drip outside near foundation. Not only was it not normal for water to drip out of the mysterious outside copper pipe , but it was causing my water heater to run continuously, and the malfunctioning valve was a safety hazard.  At first, I thought I could change it myself to save money. Being impressed by his honest concern for safety, I gave Bryan the go ahead to replace the water heater temp/pressure valve. I am glad I did. I would have replaced it incorrectly...
I had read that low water pressure was also caused by a Pressure Relief Valve but I could not locate it. I thought I didn't have one since many YouTube posts showed these valves very close to the outside water hose faucet. Bryan showed me the PRV valve attached to the city's water meter line, explained its function, and advised replacing it. Again, my first thought was to save money and do the work myself. Seeing the ground depth of the PRV valve , I was realizing the hard work it would take for replacement. As soon as I heard Bryan explaining the PRV city code requirements, it was a no brainer to agree to let a professional do the repair work.
In the 17 years I've owned my home, I repeatedly chose AAA Auger for my plumbing repairs and water heater replacement primarily for their fair pricing. Bryan however is the only plumber representing AAA Auger that was caring enough to recommend me asking for a repair discount. I did take him up on his suggestion.
I am grateful for Bryan's discount suggestion, caring attitude toward his customers and most importantly, his professional job ethics in completing all repairs meeting if not exceeding all City Code  requirements.
AAA Auger you have in Bryan a great company ambassador and continue to have my LOYALTY.
Sincerely,
Franco M. from Del Valle

I called AAA Auger to address a leak in my bathroom and under my sink. They were able to dispatch a plumber on my requested day, and a delightful plumber named Daniel showed up perfectly on time as expected. Daniel quickly assessed the problems and got to work making the calls to see if my landlord would approve the work that needed to be done. He immediately got to work, and was extremely personable, professional, and efficient. He was able to replace the toilet that was having the problem and fix the leaking faucet in no time at all. If you have any plumbing issues I highly recommend Daniel and AAA Auger. This was by far the best experience I have had with this type of service.

I broke my water main while digging a trench for a french drain-on a weekend. I called one of their competitors, who gave me a price but then said I could repair myself with pvc parts. Sooo, I attempted the repair myself, but, the repair was not perfect. To just get on with my life, I called the competitor again who could not make it back out until Monday. Then called AAA. They sent a plumber out but charged $100 more than the competitor would have.
Yes, they got the job done, yes, on a weekend, but $300 to repair a pvc water main that I had already gotten ready for them?? All they had to do was take out my attempt and replace with good material. No digging, no analysing the problem, just repair. If you use them, bend over and get stuck. I learned my lesson.

Once again, AAA Auger came you to fix a problem with my air conditioningIt was fixed with care, and the plumber was more than willing to fix the a/c problem to the best of his ability. He was also able to offer several ways to lower the final price of the problem . I was VERY HAPPY to do business with a true stand-up organization. I have told my sister about the problems that she is having similarly to mine. She hired them, add she was just as happy with her results as mine. We will both praise this company and encourage others to do the same. The call from the office to determine your overall satisfaction goes far beyond what is expected. This company is honest, and trustworthy. They deserve your business. You will not walk away from the issue unsatisfied.

This company and Javier, in particular, went above and beyond in providing excellent service to repair our clogged lines during the Thanksgiving holidays.  I called AAA Auger for clogged bathroom drains just a couple of days before Thanksgiving.  When it became apparent that we had significant blockage issues, Javier dedicated himself to getting the job done expeditiously.  Javier and two other plumber showed up early on Thanksgiving morning for no additional charge!

Javier was always very courteous and kept  me advised of the required work and charges at all times.  The final bill was more than reasonable, considering the extent of the work required and the fact that they did the work on Thanksgiving day.  I highly recommend AAA Auger in Austin and I suggest that you ask for Javier!

My kitchen sink would not drain on either side and was backing up in my dishwarsher. They sent a service man out on a rainy Sunday which I appreciate. However, he did not solve my issue but I still paid $88.50 for the call. They were supposed to come back this morning but when I called to confirm, I was not on their schedule. So I called another company that came out and had the problem fixed in less than an hour. They were very surprised that this company wasn't table to solve such a minor clog.

I would give this company zero stars if it was possible.  I spoke with AAA Auger 3 times prior to scheduling an apt to ask questions and make sure I was fully informed. I called AAA Auger to install a propane conversion kit on our new dryer (which has to be done by a licensed propane plumber). Also, be aware AAA Auger will not give you a quote over the phone. The first apt was scheduled for friday at 3pm. They called at 3:40 to tell me that a plumber was not going to make it. I came home from work to wait for them. A necessary inconvenience. They rescheduled for saturday between 12:00-3:00. Plumber shows up at 1pm and tells us that his is not licensed to work with propane. He calls the shop and they tell me, sorry, we don't have anyone who works with propane on saturdays, and we don't see anything in the notes about propane. That is absolutely not acceptable, we discussed that I needed a License propane plumber every interaction that I had with this company.
DO NOT use this company, they are disorganized, and not concerned with waisting their customers or technicians time. Time is money- and they wasted a lot of my time. I won't be able to use the washer or dryer until I can find a NEW competent company, which will cost me more time! So frustrating!

Over the weekend, the toilet and tub in the only bathroom in our new-to-us house (built in 1949!) both started backing up -- uh-oh. I sent out a Yelp request for quotes first thing Monday morning, and David from AAA contacted me almost immediately. He said he could have a plumber out in 2-3 hours, and right on schedule, Daniel showed up to take a look. Daniel was awesome -- knowledgeable, professional, friendly, and talked to us like intelligent human beings. He had the clog fixed quickly, and also educated us about some things we should keep an eye on down the line, in our very old house. Beyond that, the price was much better than the other quotes we'd received! We didn't expect dealing with plumbers to be pleasant, and this experience far exceeded our expectations.

On a Sat morning we discovered a leak in our front yard. We shut off the main water supply so we wouldn't waste too much water.
After calling at least 10 plumbers we found one that was willing to come over on the weekend. Around noon he took a look at it and needed to go buy supplies. He came back around 4pm and at 6pm he told us he couldn't fix it and we would have to find somebody else on Mon. He had cut off half the pipe, so turning on the water was not an option anymore. Having a small child in the house and no water (or working toilets!) is not ideal, especially not for a couple days!
We called AAA Augers and this guy came out all the way from San Marcos (we live in Lakeway) on Sat eve at 9.30pm. He worked until 1.30 am and fixed our broken pipe! I would have given him 6 stars if I could!

Terrible service, the guys (Javier and Matt) tried to rip my mother-in-law off. They quoted her $627 for a small job (water leak on the front yard), after they dug up the hole (about 12 inches deep), they told her there is another leak and now the price is $1,200. I talked to Javier on the phone, he said they have to dig 4 or 5 feet more down, and also have to cut the root of the tree (4-5 inches in diameter), I told him that the line from the street to her house is about the same level to the street connector, not 4, 5 feet and I told him to just fix one leak, he said he has to call his manager and if they do it, they can't guaranty it.. When I showed up 30 minutes later, all the sudden, the other leak just disappeared, the hole is about 12 inches, and the root they chopped off is about 1 1/2 inch in diameter, he never called his manager. The work consist of putting three section together using all together about 10 inches of PVC pipe, two elbow joints and some glue. Both of them won't talk to me, refuse to answer questions and basically have real bad attitude, zero customer service and total unprofessional. They were angry because they got busted. DO NOT use AAA Auger Plumbing Services, call someone else. They charged about 6 times more than they should have and would be 12 more times if I didn't show up.
Making money is ok, but ripping people off, especially the elderly, the vulnerable is not ok, it's unethical and borderline criminal. Those two guys should have been fired.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!  They have given me bad service TWICE! The first time they installed a new water heater for $1000 when the problem was a $100 leaky faucet instead!  Because they came back and fixed the faucet and comped the labor I made the mistake of using them again and boy am I ever sorry I did.  They sent an unlicensed and illegal worker over to replace a bathtub.  He didn't install or level the tub correctly.  They sent a worker who could speak English to install the valve and he didn't even do that right!  They wouldn't even  finish the installation when I complained, I now find they didn't even install the valve securely and I have to pay a competent handyman to tear out the wall to secure the shower head.  Like the other customers say - Avoid at all costs!!!  DO NOT EVER USE THEM!

I woke up on Wednesday to find my water tepid at best.
Thought it was because they were doing road work and water had been shut off x times.
Well. No.
Thursday...the water was cold as ice.
Hot water heater / no hot water.
Googled how to check things and thought the pilot light was out but did not want to mess with it.
Or it needed to be flushed and drained.
I was concerned, as how was I going to get this done with the holidays right upon us?
I called Auger and they were available to come out Sat.
They came out asap (they were very busy) Dave? on the phone was very helpful.
Isaiah arrived and sure enough reset my pilot light.
So glad my heater was not dead.
And he said, we don't charge for lighting pilot lights.
Coolest ever. So fast. So professional. He wrote everything down for how to light the pilot light and showed me how.
Might seem easy to some but on a piece of equipment that could blow... well...
I cannot thank them enough. Tired of taking baths in heated water from pots on stove.
And on Christmas eve to boot.
Thank you Auger plumbing. Fast. Good people. and very professional.

I am selling my house and the potential buyer had AAA Auger come out to my house.

Unbeknown to me, I supposedly now have a waste line leak in the foundation. I have NO foundation issues (I've had an engineer come out and take a look at it).  The estimate to fix all of this is almost 30,000 dollars!! what??? I am of course getting a second opinion. From what I can tell from their estimate it looks like they want to redo ALL of the piping from the house to the street. I just want the problem fixed!

I'm having Christianson plumbing coming out tomorrow to take a look.

That's not the main reason for the crap review. I have a water heater that is not sitting up off the ground, and it needs a few other things to make it up to par with city codes. I also have a couple of toilets that need to be reinstalled (just basically leveled and sealed better). AAA Auger gave him an estimate to do this at about 2800 dollars. I just had to laugh. This is RIDICULOUS. Christianson is going to do it buy the hour, these guys obviously charge by the job. I am speculating that at worst case scenario, Christianson could take 6 hours to do all of this work (plus MAYBE a 100 dollars in parts). So to calculate for Christianson, 89 dollars for the first half hour, plus 1.65 per minute thereafter. S0 if Christianson takes 6 hours, that's 633 dollars plus 100 dollars in parts or about 750. This is WORST case scenario. It will probably take a lot less time.

AAA Auger is about 4 times as much as Christianson plumbing for this job.

I'll come back tomorrow and update the waste line leak issue when I get more estimates/details from Christianson.

UPDATE: Christianson was actually about  1100 because they had to have two plumbers come out. So, my initial estimate was wrong, BUT they did everything that AAA Auger was going to do for 1700 dollars less.
Also, I had Benjamin Franklin Plumbing come out and they found one hole in my sewer waste line and will be able to reline that section of pipe for 2600 opposed to 30,000 that AAA Auger wanted to charge to replace everything. I can't stress enough, DO NOT USE THESE CLOWNS.

I had almost the exact same experience as T.C. on here. We bought an older house, hooked up our brand new washer and the pipe backed up. My wife had a coupon (yikes!) for AAA Auger and called them to come fix our problem. The very young gentleman that came to our house got his snake stuck in our pipe and broke off the head. He was on the phone asking someone back at the office what to do. He tried to leave without filling out any paperwork but my wife insisted they take the minimum service call amount and send someone to retrieve the broken snake head out of our pipes.  The next day a guy came about 8 hours after he was supposed to. He basically crammed a new snake in trying to retrieve the broken piece. He went as far in as his snake could go and said that the piece was probably pushed into the sewer. His recommendation was for us to wash really small loads because our pipes were old and collapsed, and that is why the water was going out slowly and why their snake broke.  At this point water from the washer was backing into our kitchen sink  and we were finally recommended to a GREAT Independent plumber (Nathan's Plumbing, review coming soon) and he got the broken head out, cleaned out our pipes and everything is working great. He said we should definitely take the broken piece back to AAA Auger and get ALL of our money back.  NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!!! They send inexperienced morons who will screw up and blame  your old pipes. If only we had looked on Yelp sooner...
Also, I forgot to add this part: They (AAA) said they would need to replace the pipe from the house to the street and it would cost $11,000. I am not even joking. I laughed in their face and said Do you know how many people I can pay to do my laundry for $11,000? Anyway, the pipe from the house to the street was not the problem at all!

Also, I found this PERFECT image on Flickr that pretty much sums up the whole AAA Auger experience: flickr.com/photos/willia…

I had AAA Auger replace a water valve 2 years ago and their price was about the same as other plumbing service companies.  Unfortunately, the valve failed and it was out of warranty when it happened again a few days ago.  Jose came out within a couple of hours on a Saturday but it couldn't be fixed until Monday because of the specialty of the part.  Two days without water!  They had someone actually drive to San Antonio to pick up the part I needed and fixed the problem on Monday as scheduled.  The amazing thing is that they did not charge me for fixing the problem even though it was out of warranty.  It may have been that a different valve would have been better in my situation the first time around BUT they didn't have to honor it.  Not only am I pleased with their service but Jose and the management truly care about their customers.  It's always risky to trust plumbers and their suggestions because most just want to charge as much as the market will bear without considering the customer.  I am extremely satisfied and grateful that this company stood behind their work and went above and beyond to keep a customer happy.  I have put them on my phone with several stars so I never accidentally call another plumber should the need arise.

ask for luke cross #70 (that's what was on the bottom of receipt) I, like others, did not read the reviews and just called them as I has seen their trucks everywhere. What prompted my call was that another large company had show up for a free estimate and wanted 269.00 to just get started on the problem (basic slow drain). When Luke showed up and thoroughly assessed them problem I had no qualms spending money with this company. He not only fixed the immediate problem... he took the time to crawl under the house a 2nd time with me to show what caused the problem in the first place and why it may occur again. Now I know what everyone is thinking. His job is to find bigger problems to fix so they can sell larger jobs... this was not the case. He showed me some cheap home depot fixes I could do myself and the other options a professional would do to ensure long lasting operation. He left me with a good feeling and no pressure to spend another dollar.
PS Big companies have a lot of people that just come and go with no regard for the reputation they are building. When you reviews the techs by name they can weed out the bad apples and we can all get good/honest service, while holding both the company/tech responsible!

Lets start this by saying the repair guy who showed up was nice, informative and understanding.
However, showing up 2-3 hours late (depending on how you look at it) is NOT very acceptable in my books.  I don't believe that it was the repairman himself to blame.  I was told someone would be out between 10 am to 1 pm.  I get a call at 12:52  by 2:12 Still no one!  So I call, get the ye old it has been a very busy day routine, which I understand completely. Then by 3 something I call to cancel because I found someone else to come by (note they made it within 1 hour of my calling them).  The Repair guy from Auger shows up about 5-10 after I make the cancel call, so let him look at heater since he was there.  HOPE HE GETS PAIDED.
Well lets face it... I am dealing with two seniors, alone, without hot water, and waiting for a repair guy for hours past appointment time.  This does not make for a happy customers.
I would recommend that any one who calls them ask them how busy there schedules are for the day, I hope they give you a honest answer.

I used them twice in the past 7 years. Both were foundation leaks (2 different houses) and they tested it, fixed it with in a few days (3-4 days). They had to come back to confirm if the water is drying up in the next day after cut off a possible leak pipe during testing to locate the leak. The 1st leak was a very slow but constant leak all year round which caused foundation issue (pushing the soil upward in the middle of the foundation), the 2nd was a winter leak (occured only on very cold days). This company do not charge by the hour so they are considering not expensive for this types of plumbing issue. Both times, AAA only tested one manifold and able to find the leak which kept my cost down. Again, the leak both times were under the foundation, so they had to test it by cutting the sheetrock at the manifolds (there are usually 2 manifolds - these are the above-foundation distribution center of all water pipes to all the rooms which need water). They also offer both copper or PVC replacement when come to fixing the leak by running a new pipe through the artic instead of digging the foundation up to find the leak and replace pipe. I give them a thumb-up.

I had a garbage disposal back-up issue tonight and I found these guys on Google. I found the service, the response time and the plumber who showed up to all be 100% quality. I was worried about the price, seeing as how plumbers are usually really expensive and I was calling after hours, but was pleasantly surprised by how low that as well. I'm pretty sure I got a DEAL! Not only did Clay fix the problem in no-time but he showed us what the issue was and educated us on how to not let it happen again, which as a new home owner I totally appreciate. I'd use them again and recommend them to others. Thanks!

We have such high praises for Darrell Silcox, Master Plumber. When he realized we were not getting hot water inside the house due to a faulty water heater, he spend many hours replacing the water heater, checking all the connections, and resolving a water pressure issue. Darrel and his apprentice Ismael Guerrero Jr. (Junior) were extremely professional, highly skilled, personable, and very honest. Darrell listened to us and explained everything clearly. And he was able to resolve our long time hot water issue! We are so thankful to have met Darrell, a genuinely good person with a great heart who truly cares about his customers.

I am handy and can usually repair most plumbing problems myself. However, on this occasion my pedestrian skills could not solve the problem and so with a great deal of angst and trepidation we sought out a licensed plumber. After reading a number of plumber reviews,  our expectations were somewhat low but thought we'd give these guys a ring. The problem was not an emergency and we asked if they could make it out to the house sometime that week. Instead, they dispatched a journeyman plumber to our home within two hours. The first thing I liked about this company is that they DO NOT CHARGE BY THE HOUR. Space and time do not permit me to recount the many occasions on which we have had the privilege of paying for an inexperienced plumber's OJT as he wiled away the hours,  making a huge mess and running back and forth to the truck to try yet another nasty piece of ill-fitting pipe.
The AAA plumber quickly diagnosed our problem. Since it involved the replacement of a custom fixture part that could not be obtained locally, he ordered the part and replaced it when it arrived, two days later. Total charge was under $300.00 (inclusive of the price of an expensive valve and two trips to our home) and the service was quick, friendly, and efficient.

The only reason I can't give them a fifth star is due to the fact that the plumber had dirty boots and tracked some oleaginous substance onto our floors that I didn't even notice. However, my loving wife (who was not present when he performed the job) was eager to point out his messy tracks to me and issue a considerable chewing to my posterior, long after the plumber departed. Still, I would call these guys again if we need a plumber.

They got it done!  We had a foundation leak emerge recently in our garage wall (master bed on the other side).  Turned out to be the main cold supply to the whole house and the supply to the washing machine.  AAA Auger recommended rerouting through the attic with PEX instead of chipping concrete away.  Given the age of the house and the hard well water, this made the most sense.  They worked with our insurance to get the two leaks squared away under our policy, and we opted to pitch in more out of pocket to have the whole house redone for peace of mind.  Two days... two guys and we're set with water again.  I choose to patch dry wall and insulate the PEX myself to bring the cost down a bit, but the hard stuff was professionally handled in a timely manner.  And they were very friendly guys to boot. They answered a lot of questions for this emerging DIYer.  Thanks!

We discovered at 8 a.m. Sunday we had a leak in a copper pipe and water was dripping from the attic through the ceiling in our utility room.  I called AAA Auger.  They came in 45 minutes as promised and Miguel fixed the leak within an hour.  I was very pleased with the service and quality and the price was quite reasonable.  They also were willing to come out and give us a quote at no charge.  Very unusual.

We had trouble with our tub fauct and needed someone to come out on a recent freezing cold Sunday. They sent out Miguel, who was really nice. Even though he had to return the next day to complete the work, he arrived that next morning and did the work with a good attitude. They did not charge us a fee to come to the house and the cost was quite low considering he worked at our house for at least 6 hours.

I love doing business with these folks.  Last week, Jose and Matt came to my house to install a toilet and I was very pleased with their service.  Our experience with this company has always been very positive.

DO NOT USE AAA Auger! They do not back up their work!

AAA Auger sold and installed a gas water heater at my home in June 2009. On October 31, 2011, Texas Gas turned off gas to my water heater as they said the water heater was not drafting properly and was allowing carbon monoxide into my home and garage. Texas Gas said that I must correct this dangerous situation before they would turn on the gas.

I contacted AAA Auger and they sent a plumber to my house on 11/01/2011. The plumbersaid the installation of the gas water heater was not in code and that the piping was not drafting properly as it was not sealed to the water heater. He wanted to have Texas Gas contact AAA Auger before he proceeded with any work.

I had a three way conference call with the Texas Gas technician and AAA Auger. Texas Gas explained what needed to be done prior to turning gas back on. AAA Auger denied what Texas Gas said and denied what their own plumber had said regarding the drafting problem due to the installation. AAA Auger said they would only make their installation right and within code if I paid them to do so.

We are very happy with Curtis Preece the plumbing expert. Curtis was very professional, explained all the steps, provided education and preventive maintenance tips - and very quickly cleared the main pipe using the auger tools.

After the work was completed - he left the place clean.

I will recommend AAA Auger to my friends and would seek Curtis' services for my future plumbing needs.

This company sucks!!! I didn't want to give them any stars. I called to get someone to come out and get an free estimate on a leaking kitchen faucet and was set up for the next day after 5 pm. After getting home and was told they were really busy any they were not sure if I could have someone come out. I was told I would be contacted later if they could come out. We'll I received the call at 8:30 pm saying they were to busy and would not becoming and was asked if I wanted to reschedule for the next day....NO THANKS. The plumber to told me to call someone else who could get the sooner. Well that's just what I will be doing. I guess since it was a free service call my problem didn't matter and they weren't making any money. Advice for this so called plumbing company don't advertise something that your not going to do.

We had a broken water line embedded in the exterior wall...of course it happened on a Saturday at 4:00. I called AAA Auger and the woman who answered said that they could send someone out, but it'd be 2 hours. In less than 30 minutes, we received a call from Darrell who was on his way. He showed up with a smile on his face, said it could be easily fixed (even though it'd include removing some of the exterior masonry) and had everything completed in about an hour. He couldn't have been more professional or friendly--he went out of his way to reassure us that it wasn't as bad as we originally thought. And, in the end, it wasn't. To make everything even better, the cost of the repair ended up being much less than what we'd anticipated. Because of Darrell, we're definitely using AAA Auger in the future!

I own a rental house in Austin and had a tenant with a stopped up drain.  The receptionist was very nice and took all my info. The plumber called my tenant to schedule a time and then called me with the estimate and suggestions. The repair was fast and on budget. I will use them again

A neighbor recommended this company.  Should have read the reviews before calling them out today. Rude and overpriced.

I tried replacing a broken shut off valve at my toilet but ended up making it worse.  I finally gave in and called a plumber.  Darrell is terrific.  He identified the problem right away.  My house is 20 yrs old and two of the shut off valves had gone bad, so I decided to have Darrell replace all of the shut off valves in the house.  He worked quickly and carefully, and left everything spotless.  He also replaced two outdoor hose bibbs, resolved some problems I was having with those, and replaced a shower head that wasn't performing well.  For good measure, he checked my water pressure and made sure all the toilets were flushing correctly.  He patiently answered all my questions and gave me some advice on a few things that I could do myself (such as changing out the 20-yr old hoses on my washing machine).  For peace of mind (knowing that all my shut off valves will work properly when I need them to) and to not have to do all that work myself, I thought the price was fair.  I will definitely use this company again, and will ask for Darrell by name.

Two stars for quick response.  But they are very expensive.  Quoted me almost $300 to fix two running toilets.  When I questioned the price they dropped it to $250.  As a repeat customer I called the office and the manager dropped the price further to $175.  Still expensive but they were already at the house so I had them do the work.

We will not use AAA Auger ever again.  My husband called them to come over and look at our grinder pump because the high water alarm had gone off after he took a shower.  They inspected everything and told us that it would have to be replaced.  $3600 later it was done.  Three weeks later the alarm went off again and the same service guy came out.  At first he said it was just a fluke, and then after looking at it some more said that it was clogged and not working properly.  He tried to blame it on us by saying that we were obviously flushing things that we weren't supposed to.  It worked fine for 12 years and we didn't even know this pump existed!  After paying $3600 to fix it, my husband wasn't flushing Q-tips anymore.  They then claimed it was in fact the electrical grid after taking out the new pump, disassembling it, and cleaning it.  It makes me wonder if it was the grid all along and not in fact the pump.  After another $1600 it is fixed but we will never use them again!  Please find a more reputable business that does not treat their customers so poorly.

Right from the start I felt I was dealing with professionals. They sent someone the day I called, even though it wasn't an emergency. When it looked like it would take longer to get a plumber to me then they had originally estimated, they called me so I'd know what was going on. My plumber knew exactly what he was doing, a big change from the company I had called previously who spent 3 hours and fixed nothing and tried to get me to authorize spending more than they had quoted. AAA gave me a reasonable quote, got the job done, and charged me exactly what they had quoted. My service guy knew exactly what he was going and didn't cut corners -- in fact he went the extra mile to double check that he'd caught all the problems, and made me feel confident that I had called the right people and was spending my money wisely. I'd call these guys again in a heartbeat. I wish all my home repair resources were this good.
