We love Doug's Plumbing! We've owned our home for almost 4 years and had to (unfortunately) call Doug's a few times.
We had a water main break in our front yard before we were heading out of town for my brother's wedding. It was taken care of and we were able to enjoy the wedding weekend.
Our septic tank backed up after we had a large get together at our house. The culprit was likely flushable (which really aren't flushable) wipes, but they were out to our house the day we called and fixed the issue promptly.
About a year ago, we thought there was a gas leak with 1 of our water heaters. We got the inspection done and luckily there was no leak. We opted to have their annual maintenance plan and received a discount on the services. AND with the maintenance plan you get all things plumbing related serviced in your home. It was definitely worth it.
Doug came out today for the annual plumbing checkup and was a great guy. He helped tighten up things that needed to be tightened and drain things that needed to be drained with a smile on his face and some useful tips.
Highly recommend!

Me. Plumber did an outstanding job today for an extremely reasonable price.  I am very satisfied with the quality of their work and the care they took with my house.  Very highly recommend these guys.  Formerly Steve's Plumbing!  Rosendo and his helper are awesome for sure.

My AC unit was not working and Brent came out and quickly noticed that a wire had come loose from the motor start capacitor.  He reconnected it, reset the unit and waiting for it to start back up from standby and everything worked once again.
Since it was a simple fix, Brent didn't charge anything for the call.  Very professional, prompt and courteous.  They have my business.

Mike has been my plumber for years except for a period when I lost his phone number and tried the number posted on Yelp.  His business is NOT closed.  It was just my good luck that I ran into him one day and got his number again.  As great a plumber as he is, he simply does not advertise beyond having a business card.  His phone number is 512-626-8036.  Do yourself a favor and hang onto that number.

Affordable Plus Plumbing is now my plumber!  I had a different company throw me into shock when they gave me a quote for a few things I needed done for a small remodel.  Affordable Plus charged 45 PERCENT LESS than the other company!  Anthony was professional, courteous, and efficient.  They were also very responsive when I called them previously to repair a leak I had.  Richard (the owner) actually gave me some tips to try over the phone to completely avoid the cost of a service call.  I still needed them to come out, but, again. GREAT service!  CALL THEM!

Jimmy showed up right on time and answered all questions I had.  Quality workmanship on our plumbing needs.

My home is pre-plumbed for water softener.  1st Home & Commercial Services came out and gave me an estimate for hooking up the water softener, which was very nice of them to do.  However, they wanted over $1,200.  No, that doesn't include the water softener! He said they charge $255 per hour. Sounds more like what a tax attorney would charge. Even if I was willing to pay $255/hour, it should only take a couple of hours to hook up anyway.  I bought the water softener at Lowe's, so I'm going through them.  It'll be $250 plus $40-$120 for parts.  I was only getting other estimates because I thought $250 sounded a bit high for a pre-plumbed hook up job.  If 1st Home & Commercial Services can explain why it takes 4 hours and $1200 to hook up my $400 water softener when my house is already pre-plumbed for it, I'll gladly amend this review.

Alamo water softener company always provides the best service. Have been their customer for two years now and have always found them very courteous and prompt in handling my softener needs.  Their techs are very knowledgeable - for this visit, Angelina was most informative and helpful.

I can't say enough great things about my service tech, Jon. Not only was he prompt, he was extremely meticulous about the entire process from respecting my concerns about the corona virus, to respecting my time, privacy, and conveying the issue so that I could understand what he was doing and why he needed to do it. After seeing the work behind the sheet rock and seeing his repair, I am even more assured I have the right person for the job! I'm familiar with mechanical concepts and the logic he put into not only repairing, but improving what was there in the first place was nothing short of impressive. It's extremely hard to find people that take pride in their work and exceed customer service expectations, but these folks have done it, and I'm extremely thankful!

This is an excellent company. I needed a small granite remodel to fit a new stove. They were able to get in and perform the job quickly and efficiently,  and left the kitchen spotless!  Excellent communication from the office and subcontractors. I will definitely use them for future projects!!

After going through two other HORRIBLE plumbing companies my friend Sam told me these guys are honest, will do a perfect job, and they'll do it with a smile. I didn't realise how right he was until they came out to my house and saved me hundreds of dollars by just doing a simple test to show me I didn't, in fact, have a leak like Mr. Rooters plumbing told me I had (and wanted to charge me $700 just to inspect the supposed leak!!!).

I cannot recommend these guys highly enough. Seriously, the most professional company I've ever dealt with!!!!

Huge shout out to Lanier Plumbing! **They literally saved us thousands of dollars and tons of trouble.**
Two other companies said we were going to have to either cut into our awesome 1957 tile or uninstall and reinstall our HVAC (in a closet that backs up to the shower) to address a problem with our hot water. Lanier came out and solved the problem, I kid you not, in about 5 minutes--most important tool used was a *dime.* And they took care of several other minor plumbing problems for us. I have had the need to use C&K Plumbing twice this year.  Both times, I was extremely pleased with the service provided, quality of the work and the cost.  I found them to be highly reputable and trustworthy.  I would recommend them to anyone.

Seriously! I have found my plumber for the rest of the time I live in Elgin (although I hope to never need him again). So it turns out I did not have a slab leak, instead the builder put the water line UNDER the driveway! It is about 1 1/2 feet in. My roommate dug and dug until he found the leak and cleaned the area all around it. I called Mike and let him know what was going on. He went staright out to my house, fixed the leak and called me to tell me it was $100 even and he would just leave me a bill. He also said if I leave him the paperwork from the city to try to recoup some of my super high bill, he would sign it and leave it on the front door.
After speaking to so many plumbers in the past few weeks it is refreshing to know I have a good, honest plumber I can count on from now on!
