Best Plumbing Services in San Antonio, TX
This review is long overdue. I had my first experience with Carl about two years ago. He gave us an excellent price on replacing a leaking pressure valve out by the meter and he and his son did great work. It was great timing for that problem to happen because he identified a separate problem I was having and didn't know about. I had a faulty water softener that was ruining my plumbing and his expertise saved me from a future major and expensive problem. I can't thank him enough for that. At a later time we also had him replace a kitchen sink and bathroom fixtures and he was more than fair and again great work. He is communicative and punctual. I'll never use another plumber and he has my recommendation for your plumbing needs.

Had an emergency. I broke off a hose faucet, inside my siding at the copper pipe. Sean came out 6:30am, in 27 degree weather and promptly and professionally fixed the problem. He is not only professional and competent but also a friendly, nice guy. I will not hesitate to call on this company again and I highly recommend them to everyone. And their pricing is quite reasonable.

Awesome Service. Called at about 6 in the evening with a leak in my kitchen ceiling. He came out in about an hour. Made the best of the situation then came back the next morning to fix. Great guy who took the time to do it right. And he wasn't trying to up charge with other stuff. Gave honest answers to my questions . I had been debating some bathroom remodeling and he answered honestly which meant no extra money out of my pocket. I would gladly use this company every time.

H2O Specialists are as good as it gets! When we moved our washing machine and dryer out to the garage, they installed the connections for the washing machine and worked with an electrician to install electricity for both. They also found that our water heater was rusted and leaking. They took it back to Lowe's in their own van, bought a new one for us because of the warranty, and installed it and made changes to the overflow to prevent further problems. When we needed a plumber as part of our remodeling of out bathrooms, they moved a drain line from an old bathtub across the room to a new shower; three weeks later they installed two pedestal sinks, a toilet, and shower fixtures in 2.5 hours. They are professional, experts in their field, prompt, and the nicest guys you could ever meet.

Nice plumber! Natal led a new faucet for me! Checked my bathroom faucet. Replaced the outside faucet. Total $75 and I got a calendar!

We had a disappointing experience with American Leak Detection. It started off well when their tech came out to first look for the leak. He was timely and professional, and by all accounts did his job properly. He located our leak underneath a large stone walkway just a few feet outside of our front door. They charged us $575 which we felt was fair and were thankful for the information.
We then had some plumbers come out to get quotes on actually repairing the leak. They were quite skeptical that there would be a pipe in that particular location and recommended we double check before proceeding with excavating underneath the walkway. So, American Leak Detection came out again and located the leak in approximately the same spot. They charged $350 for coming back out which we again thought was fair.
We then hired a plumbing service to do the actual repair, part of which included $2000 for excavation. They excavated underneath the walkway and found nothing. No pipe. No leak. Just a bunch of rock and soil. They did locate a leak about 20 ft away (not under the walkway) and repaired it.
When I emailed American Leak Detection to let them know what had happened, their initial response was encouraging. The employee that called seemed genuinely concerned about the issue and spoke glowingly of the owner and how much he cared about their customers. They asked if they could come back out a third time and essentially do a post-mortem analysis, which we of course agreed to. Afterward, they acknowledged that they should have located the leak in its actual location and not underneath the stone walkway. They told us that their method is not foolproof, which was really more in the form of an excuse than an apology. Also, we would have liked to have known that from the beginning instead of them standing behind their results when others were questioning it. They offered a refund of the $575 we initially paid for them to come out, but said they needed to keep the other $350 to cover their costs. We appreciated the offer, but there was no apology and no concern about the financial burden created for us by their mistakes.
They eventually had a change of heart and agreed to refund all of the $925 we had paid them (for which we are grateful), but refused to help cover any amount of the $2000 we paid Steve's Plumbing to go looking for a leak that never existed.
The process of receiving a refund was drawn out over several weeks and mostly consisted of speaking with someone who was very defensive, said a lot of things about the situation that didn't make sense, and whose story changed several times. She said we should have hired them to do the repair, but based on initial conversations and additional understanding provided by other plumbers, their reliance on their technology probably would have resulted in the actual leak being missed and a bunch of holes being made in our house to reroute our main line unnecessarily.
We can understand why the company wouldn't want to set a precedent of paying for plumbing services they didn't provide. What we can't understand is how a company that claims to care so much about its customers can't even muster a passing sorry for the inconvenience when their mistakes prove to be very costly for those who hire them. We would feel very differently about this situation if they had at least acknowledged and maybe even apologized for the $2000 we lost. Instead, they chose to circle the wagons so fast they were rendered incapable of even the slightest bit of empathy, making it impossible to consider how the situation might actually be affecting one of their customers. When we needed them to be the company they purport to be, they chose to be defensive and could not have cared less about out predicament.
So, based on our experience, I cannot in good conscience recommend that you hire this company (or at least this particular branch as they have multiple locations). The 1 star review has nothing to do with the employees that came out or even the fact that their information was flawed. Their technology isn't perfect and can't account for every single variable that might come up. It has everything to do with how they chose to treat one of their customers when things didn't go according to plan.

I broke a T fitting CPVC pipe in the attic. I could have fixed it myself but this would have required a day without water and $24 worth of parts. 1 T-fitting and 12 inches of CPVC plastic pipe and 3 joiners. The tech arrived and completed the work in 54 minutes. The tech did a great job on the repair. The bill was $1279.00 !! So let's figure this. $1279.00 minis $24 in parts equals $1255.00. So I think $1200 an hour is a bit excessive. The repair was straight forward and readily accessible on the floor of the attic. The invoice just stated water repair-rejuvenation $1279.00. That's just ridiculous. I understand they are running a business but come on now.

What a tremendous experience we just had with Quest!
A month or so ago, we had another plumbing company out to the house for what we thought was an emergency. Before we knew it, they quoted us $20k to fix our issues. Quest was our second opinion.
I cannot say enough about our experience. Brylee (hope I spelled that right) came out; he was extremely nice and easy to deal with/talk to. Together, after I explained everything I knew and was told, we worked together to form a game plan to tackle the problems.
Imagine that! Actually being involved with decisions regarding your own home!
Brylee took a TON of time with us, walked us through every aspect of what he encountered/saw with the pipes under the house, and left us feeling fully informed and comfortable.
I cannot say enough about the job Quest (and Brylee) did at our home!
Definitely call Quest - you'll thank us.

If I could give this company 10 stars, I would! This father and son duo are super kind, they went above and beyond to complete 4 projects for me.
They arrived on time, extremely professional and courteous, had every tool needed to complete the work and wonderful personality!
I will be calling them as soon as I move for addition work. I must add they are very fare with their rates especially considering these gas prices.
Thank you Jose & Louis...just the best!!!!

They were who my builder had install the plumbing 2 yrs ago. My pressure regulator valve went out 2 yrs and 1 month after install (1 month after the 2 yr warranty expired). So I called them to see what they could do. They said that they could send a tech out that morning since they were on a job nearby. 6 hrs and 2 additional phone calls later they finally showed up. Even though the part failed, they didn't cover it since my warranty expired, so $220 was the cost to replace. The tech had to dig to access the pipe, but he could have taken a little more care to make it easier to put the grass back together but no, he flung grass and dirt everywhere. Had to get additonal soil and grass seed to patch the area back up. And he did not like the fact that I stood there and watched him do the repair. Sorry but if I'm paying someone to do a job, I have the right to watch and make sure it's done. My overall experience with this company is poor. They probably have decent price for builders but I would never call them again to do any future work on my house. I do not recommend this company for any homeowner to hire, look someplace else.

Had Fred Wrights come out (Preferred vendor from our home warranty company) to fix a leaky sink, leaky faucet and septic drain issue in May 2012. As of October 2012, I still have 2 out of the three issues unresolved and the guy from Freds quoted $9,000 (!!) to dig under my slab and fix the roots that had gotten into the drainage pipe. I called a second company to come out and paid them $227 to fix without digging under anything. Dishonest and incompetent company.

If I could give 0 stars I would. Some female said they'd be able to service our home the next day... the next day comes & she says they'd have to reschedule for the next day.... well that day comes & this dumb braud has the nerve to say they don't service our area (5 miles away).... my 3 kids went w/out water way longer than need be thanks to this company who asked for our address the day we set the apt up & never said they didn't service our area but proceeded to make an apt
