My wife and I were having a bunch of friends over for the 4th of July, so of course the blower in our aging A/C decided to off itself the day before the big party.

I started calling around to various HVAC repair companies in a panic, and Service Experts had the first availability. Unfortunately for us they were utterly indifferent to our plight and were more interested in selling us a a whole new A/C than actually helping us. So, after a frantic Yelp search I found Texas Air Conditioning Specialist, and gave them a call.

Despite being busy as hell (it's summer in Texas after all), TACS was able to get someone to my place within a couple hours. They quickly identified the problem, and had another guy out with the part a few hours later. Given the age of the unit, and the part in question, I found the cost of the repair to be very reasonable.

Mike has been my plumber for years except for a period when I lost his phone number and tried the number posted on Yelp.  His business is NOT closed.  It was just my good luck that I ran into him one day and got his number again.  As great a plumber as he is, he simply does not advertise beyond having a business card.  His phone number is 512-626-8036.  Do yourself a favor and hang onto that number.

This is the second project Tony, his son Mark, and the rest of his crew have done for us and it won't be the last. For this project, we wanted new cabinet faces and a paint job for our kitchen, and a tub to shower conversion for our master bath. Both jobs turned out beautiful and were completed on time.  There were a few hiccups along the way, but what remodeling project doesn't have some. With that being said, Tony handled them professionally and we figured them out. A real standout was Regal, who did an amazing job with the tile in the shower. He has really clean lines and an eye for detail. He made the shower look exactly how we envisioned it and now it's like a five star hotel. Mark, Tony's son, is a great successor to the GIS brand, and couldn't be a nicer guy. Every day of the project, he was great at communicating and making us feel at ease. For a simple part replacement in a sink faucet that would take less than hour, they wanted $350.  Refused to give ballpark on the phone.  Said they had to assess.  His assessment amounted to looking on his phone at a list of what costs what!

I purchased a house needing a lot of work and the guys at Lanier Plumbing have fixed several problems for me over the last nine months. They have always shown up on time, kept me well informed of what they've found and how they plan to fix it, and then what they finally ended up doing after they encountered problems they couldn't anticipate in the beginning. They explained how I can maintain my ancient plumbing and educated me as to potential problems I might encounter in the future and at what point I should call them. I feel like they are partners with me in the maintenance of my old but charming home.

And I have to say how impressed I've been that these guys have such a great attitude about crawling on their bellies in the mud of my 13-15 inch crawlspace. I can hear them grunting and groaning as they work under there... bringing a grin to my face.... but they don't grumble about it a bit, in fact, they seem to love their job.  I've actually become quite fond of the Lanier Plumbers and highly recommend them. They are not the cheapest but you get what you pay for... and these guys are well worth what I have paid for their services. I like them a lot.

I had a cracked main sewer line which had previously been repaired by ARS several years ago. I contacted C&K initially to clear the line, which they did within a day of contacting them. At the time, they also diagnosed the issue- roots getting into the drain within a foot of the access point.  

I told Matt of C&K the ARS warranty was still good and I would contact them for repair. I contacted ARS, was told someone would call me back- no one did. A few days later I called again, was told someone would contact me- no one did. I called one more time, same thing, no one ever called me back. I could not wait much longer to get this repaired and had to clean the line again.

Since ARS never responded I called C&K about the repair and was able to schedule it about 4 days out.  I had planned to take out the shrubs around the access point anyway and asked C&K if they would work with me on the price if I did the initial digging and they agreed. I was told the amount would vary depending on how much I was able to get done.

They showed up on time and got to work. I had dug far enough to find the issue. It wasn't a crack in the pipe, it was the sleeve ARS put on that had slid off. ARS had told me they put on a flexible joint that would prevent settling of dirt/foundation to crack the pipe again. Well, it didn't crack- their repair didn't hold.  

C&K finished up in a couple of hours, completely redesigned the line to take pressure off the joint and said the way it had been done previously was going to fail due to lack of proper installation and not properly packing the dirt upon completion. The picture is the ARS failed joint, I was so happy I forgot to take pictures of the new line......oops. Essentially, they moved the flexible portion off of a 45 degree and placed it on a straight pipe to allow for movement but without the pressure of the angle. It made sense to me.

I will use C&K from here on out for plumbing and refer them to others. They were prompt, courteous, and fair with pricing. They reduced the repair costs since I had dug the hole. It was more than I had originally thought it might be too.

Anthony from Affordable Plus Plumbing has replaced the garbage disposal & the kitchen sink faucet on 2 separate visits. On both visits he has been very professional & the service has been quick & efficient. He is a good communicator who shares info & provides recommendations. I didn't use Supreme plumbing for my hot water heater emergency. They contacted me within 2 hours of me texting. This was on a Sunday morning at 7a. They were the 2nd plumber to contact me. Went with the first, which responded in one hour. I will have them at the top of my list for any future plumbing emergencies.

Talk about responsive, fast, reliable and precise...just as the name implies!  Kevin is a true professional who knows how to find those hidden leaks.  Without him, we would have never found the broken pvc outside.  Another leak company in the area quoted me $800 as well as not being able to come out for three (3!!!) weeks.  Kevin was out the next day, found the leak and even dug to expose it (in limestone and gravel I might add!).  Charge?  $450, almost half of what the other guys wanted.  I cannot recommend him enough.  Also, he gave me a recommendation for a plumber...Bluebonnet Plumbing out of SA.  Again, an outstanding, family owned small business.  I am going to leave my 5 star for them next.

Reliable, reasonably priced and solid workmanship. Has done multiple jobs from simple faucet install to complex repair (reconnected bath drain in the slab requiring jack hammering to make a difficult reconnect to fix the leak. Also replaced water heater and replaced copper pipe after a freeze. Highly recommende!

Got a quote for a clogged toilet. Reasonably priced yet booked for the day. Needed service ASAP! The gentleman on the phone gave me two local recommendations! This is what I consider excellent customer service. Even though they were unable to see me, they went above and beyond by giving me local recommendations to resolve my problem. I'm a new client of Ross Plumbing.  Clint replaced a damaged copper line with PEX - supporting a recirculating hot water pump attached to my water heater.  Ross Plumbing scheduled me quickly, and the repair is awesome.  Clint was knowledgable, super friendly and the price was fair.  Ross Plumbing is my go-to plumber moving forward.  Thank you again Clint!

We had a great experience with American eagle plumbing. Like a lot of people in our area, we had some issues when the winter storm came and our water softener system was damaged. We decided to wait on doing anything because of the out of pocket expense. Then cue the unit leaking. I called these kind folks and they got someone out next day to look at our unit. They determined that it was needing replaced (not surprising with the issues we had been experiencing). Hunter was the gentlemen who came out and explained our options, gave us a quote etc. we had to get some drywall fixed first and he was super flexible with the scheduling. Fast forward to today- we just got our new softener installed and I couldn't be happier! Hunter did a great job and explained everything I needed to do in order to upkeep our new system. He was in and out within an hour and overall this has been a great experience. I will use them for any future needs and refer them to everyone I know. Thanks again!!

This company did the plumbing install on our new house. We had problems from the start. We had out clean out clogged several times. Finally the city came out and ran a camera through the pipe. Their report was shocking and acurate.

The pipe had unnecessary bends, was crushed with a large rock and root, and had a blocked off y fitting in the section. What a joke. Totally Inane...

After going to sleep on a Friday night to a busted bathtub valve, I called AAA Auger at 9:00 on Saturday morning.  I got a call back at 9:30 and the AA Auger truck rolled up 15 minutes later,
The repairman looked at the problem valve, gave me price and got right to work.
About 40 minutes later, the valve was replaced an working like a charm

Whoever is using the name The King of Drains on Yelp in Austin appears to be a scammer even though I believe there is a legitimate company by that name in San Antonio. Raymond Jones at 737-600-2552 showed up, took a look at the plumbing, talked about doing thousands of dollars of work, requested $485 for apparently doing nothing about our slow drain, could only be paid by Zelle or CashApp, had the payment rescinded by CashApp to protect me, and hasn't been heard from since. Do not engage with this person or you will regret it!
