I had been using another local company for a number of years, but had a terrible experience (you can see my review!) and somehow found Texas A/C Specialist back in 2010 or so. They came out to assess no heat, and also suggested we replace the AC in addition to the furnace. They gave us what I'm sure were solid reasons, but we were renting the place, and chose not to do the extra work. Sure enough, less than six months and the AC needed to be replaced as well. I would have saved a good bit if they had done all the work at the same time.

Then, I wound up with another rental property, which was only a few years old. Despite it being the model home of the neighborhood with all the upgrades, the AC died after only 4 years. I was told that I had a cheap contractor grade AC, with a 5 year warranty - and as bad luck would have it, the manufacturing date was just over 5 years ago! They replaced the AC at a fair price. Since then, they've come out a couple of times for a freon leak or to replace a worn part - all under warranty.

My tenants are happy with them, I'm happy with them, and would recommend them to anyone.

Also, we are absentee landlords, don't really want to set foot in the property unless we have to; and lived out of state for a few years. They are great about picking up the phone to ask me questions, and always email me a copy of the invoice right away. I pay them by credit card over the phone, which is very convenient.

Mike has been my plumber for years except for a period when I lost his phone number and tried the number posted on Yelp.  His business is NOT closed.  It was just my good luck that I ran into him one day and got his number again.  As great a plumber as he is, he simply does not advertise beyond having a business card.  His phone number is 512-626-8036.  Do yourself a favor and hang onto that number.

I hired Tony and his team because, from the beginning, he was thorough and wanted to make sure things not only got done, but got done RIGHT. His quote was competitive with others that I received, but he pointed out things that other contractors didn't, and made sure they all got addressed. We had his team build out a new office space in our laundry room, re-do the backsplash and lighting in the kitchen, and restore the stone/replace fixtures in the bathroom. I'm happy with the work overall, his team was a pleasure to work with, and I'd definitely hire them again!

Thank you for prompt and courteous scheduling. We had the pleasure of working with Sean today. Sean practiced COVID protocol, he pinpointed and resolved our problem quickly, he cleaned up after the job and he was so courteous and answered all of the at least 100 questions I asked. Excellent and timely service, and everyone we deal with is thoughtful and courteous. We have used Lanier several times and every time we remember why they're our favorite Austin plumbers.

Phillip was very friendly and fast, and he explained everything for me. He even suggested a way I could fix a minor issue cheaply myself. The dispatch/billing side of the house was also amazing. I can't recommend these guys enough.

Late Saturday night, my kitchen sink and laundry line backed up. I tried the stuff to unclogged drains that I bought at Home Depot. I woke up Sunday morning, to find that it did not work. I called C&K Plumbing and left a voice message. Right away, they called me back. Claude was at my house in less than 45 minutes. He cleaned the line and did a test to make sure that I was good. Claude did an amazing job and I would highly recommend C&K Plumbing anyone.

First of all-I think a majority of the positive reviews on here are likely friends doing a favor. Second, if you scroll down and look at the bottom left you can see where yelp filters reviews-and see them... majority are negative, and similar experiences to mine. Maybe they're advertising with yelp, but the non-biased algorithm is begin pretty biased if you ask me.

I had a water heater go out and called my home warranty company on Monday morning. They assigned me to Affordable Plus Plumbing and told me to call to schedule an inspection. I called immediately and a woman answers- I explained my situation and she said, Oh well, if it needs to be replaced we can do that and the warranty covers it-but if it isn't up to code it might cost you money to get it to code She then gave me some example of some other person who needed an exterior drain and drain pan and what that cost them. (I didn't need an estimate on a hypothetical situation that didn't apply to me, but ok-thanks for the heads up).

Then-she said they were very busy today, but she would call and see if he can come today (11am). I understood they may not be able to. She said she would check and call me back. After an hour and a half, I called her again-she said, ya... he's going to come today. Me, any time frame? Her, ummm, I don't know he said he would make it today, and that he was in the middle of something and would call me back. Me, ok.... I stayed at home to work just in case he came by... No show. At 5:15 pm I called again-she said, ohhhh he's not going to make it today he got stuck at another job. (thanks for letting me know?!!!) I asked when he could come by... She asked if the next day (Tuesday) between 1-4pm was ok. I asked if any earlier could work, she said no. I agreed to the time frame, and asked that in anticipation of needing a replacement (it had already been inspected by a company that my home warranty didn't send out). could she schedule some time on Wednesday... after a back and forth about how he needed to inspect it first, which I agreed with, she said she would put aside a couple hours... ok?!

Tuesday- I took a half day and was home from 1-4pm. I called at 3pm, I said, I know it isn't 4pm yet, and I am sorry to bother you... but just want to confirm he's still coming... She said, yes, he's still coming. Ok. I sat there until 4pm. No show. I call her again, and explain that I am frustrated because I stayed home two 1/2 days, and its not so much that they're busy, but that there is ZERO communication or follow through. She says, well... he says he called you earlier and left a message. Well... he didn't. AND even if he HAD, then why at 3 did you say he was still coming????

I ask for his direct #. I call him-he says, oh you didn't get my voicemail from earlier...? no. Oh... well which part of Austin are you in? (I have provided this twice) I tell him again... He explains that there is traffic now to go south (yes... you knew that). He explains he thinks he can fix the water heater, no need to replace (hasn't seen it yet). Ok, fine! Whatever... when can you come out? He says, Ill try tonight but WE WILL SEE HOW IT GOES, ok? Me, no, not ok... if not tonight, when? He says, if they don't make it tonight I will call you in the morning, Me, ok... will you have someone available tomorrow to come out in the morning? Him, I don't know... but I'll call you in the morning. Me, ok.

Wednesday. 11am- no call. I call my home warranty company and explain, they cancel the order and reassign me. 1pm-the woman from the company calls to let me know, a technician is on his way. I tell her, don't bother. (ALSO, what if I hadn't stayed home-now I am supposed to drop everything to meet a technician, I didn't know was coming. Because no one called in the morning as promised)

Zero professionalism. Zero communication. Zero respect for my time, schedule, or job. Zero reliability. What a joke and waste of two and half days- with NO hot water..

Jimmy showed up right on time and answered all questions I had.  Quality workmanship on our plumbing needs.

These guys are amazing! This was my second time working with this local Austin company and I have received nothing less than best service. I needed a bathroom remodel done last min as I am preparing to sale my home. Cody and his team were prompt in coming out and giving me a fair quote. Their communication was great  throughout the project and they got everything done within a timely manner. I took a leap of faith on this new company months ago when the ice storm hit after getting the run around from a few other companies and I am so glad I did!!! This company is really the best when it comes to caring about their customers! Nobody likes emergencies but this is the company to go to when you want to be taken care of!

We started with another company that couldn't get to our water main leak for a full week.  We are now glad they were so busy, as it prompted us to keep searching, and we stumbled onto PLD.  Kevin, the owner, was responsive, prompt, professional, and honest.  Using sound waves he traced the water flow from the water main to the house, to quickly isolate and expose a segment of cracked PVC (2 ft deep), all the while taking time to discuss his methods for locating the leak.  Turns out Kevin is actually an engineer that just really enjoys this business.  Lastly, as for the cost, I'm pretty sure the other leak company would have charged us 20-25% more, plus Kevin recommended an affordable plumber to make the repair, saving us some more money.

Reliable, reasonably priced and solid workmanship. Has done multiple jobs from simple faucet install to complex repair (reconnected bath drain in the slab requiring jack hammering to make a difficult reconnect to fix the leak. Also replaced water heater and replaced copper pipe after a freeze. Highly recommende!

Got a quote for a clogged toilet. Reasonably priced yet booked for the day. Needed service ASAP! The gentleman on the phone gave me two local recommendations! This is what I consider excellent customer service. Even though they were unable to see me, they went above and beyond by giving me local recommendations to resolve my problem. My Water Heater went out 12/27/2021. I called Ross Plumbing as recommended by a friend and the recording asked me to text the number with my information and the issue.  Cody contacted me that evening. I sent him a few pictures and explained the issue. He gave me a fair price and said he would move things around and get to it the next day if i approved of the price. I agreed.
He and a helper were at my house the next morning at around nine with the new Water Heater and were finished in very short order. My wife and I were impressed with his willingness and professionalism to answer any questions we had about the current job and any other questions we had about other issues in the house. I highly recommend Cody and Ross Plumbing.

We had some home issues of prior owners cutting corners or incorrectly trying to do things on their own and unfortunately while replacing our water softener we ran into many issues and a few days later our water heater went out. American Eagle Plumbing to the rescue! We had an amazing experience working with them. They were able to help us right away, no waiting for weeks or up charge for immediacy. A true local, mom and pop company with human values. We're a younger couple with not a lot of emergency money to work with for when something big goes out and they were willing to work with us on payment and being able to pay in cash for a lower rate. We never felt like we were being taking advantage of or tricked into anything.

I've seen a few reviews about the long time that they were at their residence, but that was reassuring to me! They made sure the job was completely done perfectly. My husband and I both still work from home and we barely heard a peep. The work was done a few months ago and we have had zero future issues with our new water heater and water softener they helped install. I'm so grateful to them!

Having to do big repairs or replacements in your home can be daunting, stressful, and expensive and we will continue to call American Eagle Plumbing in the future for our home and have recommended to our neighbors in Hutto as well. A few days after their work they sent us cookies from the local Tiff Treats! We were completely surprised and it was so heartwarming. This company did the plumbing install on our new house. We had problems from the start. We had out clean out clogged several times. Finally the city came out and ran a camera through the pipe. Their report was shocking and acurate.

The pipe had unnecessary bends, was crushed with a large rock and root, and had a blocked off y fitting in the section. What a joke. Totally Inane...

I called at about 10 pm on a Sunday and had help coming to my house within the hour..they found the problem and and fixed it right away, quick and efficient. Victor and Juan were very knowledgeable and provided a great service and a clean job.

Ray was very polite. Arrive when they say they will arrive. Let you know what the issue is and price before starting work.
