Established in 2020.
We are a new company that started in late 2020. With over 16 years of plumbing experience, we have decided that we no longer want to work for big companies that overcharge customers. I started my plumbing tenure back in early 2007 as an apprentice in NJ. I spent 9 great years with that company and was trained by 2 of the best plumbers on the East Coast. In 2016 we decided that we needed to leave NJ and moved to the Virginia Beach area. While in Virginia I passed my masters exam and became a licensed master plumber. We then moved to the great state of Texas in 2018 and decided this is where we want to raise our family and start our business. Thank you God. And many thanks to our family, friends, & past coworkers, our long journey has ended and we are starting our new journey as proud business owners in the greatest place in the world.

I started my plumbing tenure back in early 2007 as an apprentice for Korn Plumbing in NJ. I spent 9 great years with them and was trained by 2 of the best plumbers. I then became a journeyman plumber. In 2011 I got married to my beautiful wife and we were gifted in 2015 with a beautiful little girl. In 2016 we decided that we needed to leave NJ and moved to the Virginia Beach area. While in Virginia, I worked for Michael & Son Services, and I passed my masters exam to become a licensed master plumber. We then moved to the great state of Texas in 2018 and decided this is where we want to raise our family and start our business.

Louis took time to diagnose my problem. He couldn't fix it the same day because I had too many ants where he needed to work. He came back a few days later as promised and made the repair at the quoted price. He took the time to explain what caused the problem. Will hire again in the future.
Ray was fantastic - Davis plumbing responded on same day I reached out and had someone there the next day to fix some things I needed.
He also pointed out some things that I would not have noticed and saved me some time and money. Very knowledgeable and professional.

Excellent experience! We ran into a plumbing nightmare involving sewage in our primary shower (yuck!!) and could not let this sit overnight. We scrambled to find 24/7 plumbers in central Austin and had no luck after 5 or 6 calls despite many services saying they offered this. Thankfully Davis Plumbing was immediately responsive and we were all settled and sewage free just 75 minutes later. Really appreciated that we had timely service come out at 11pm on a Tuesday night. Thank you!!!

The master plumber showed up on time, keeping me notified about his arrival by phone. He installed the plumbing for my new utility sink in record time. It's perfect. He was friendly and considerate. I will use them again.
Plumber arrived a bit before the estimated arrival time. We had agreed to a $39 trip fee, to be waived if the job estimate was accepted. Louis diagnosed that the kitchen faucet needed to replaced and a new one installed. Job estimate: $879. If we supplied the faucet ourselves, the estimate was $five hundred something.
We thought this estimate to be very high, possibly because we're out of town landlords and he thought we had little/no options. Called around for other estimates and settled for one ranging $250-$350, which included the new faucet. The job is ongoing so I don't have the final amount as of this typing, but I'm going to be happy even if it's the high end of the range.
Oh...we did pay the Davis Plumbing $39 trip fee.
I was afraid I had a massive plumbing problem! Ray was very personable and friendly from the start. He diagnosed my problem in 30 seconds and it wasn't as bad as I thought. The guys let me watch and hang out with them while they worked. Ray had some trouble seating the toilet and instead of just making it work. He did the job right. They had to pull the toilet again and fix it correctly. He could have easily just patched the problem but he fixed it for the long term. Highly impressed! It says a lot when a person will say that's not fixed right and takes the time to make sure it's done right and will last. And to top it off. His price was on the low side. Exceptional work at a great price. Can't ask for more.
These people suddenly suddenly said they're no longer available after I was inquiring them about their $39 feel that they charge for simply showing up. I guess the owner doesn't like questions. A lot of these businesses just go around collecting $39. They don't want do actual work. When then they know they won't get the job they quote you a ridiculous amount and walk away with $39.
Very fast turn around, good work, and nice communication before the scheduled appointment and during the actual service. Thanks for doing a good job.

Raymond Davis was professional, prompt, courteous and friendly. He took care of my plumbing issue swiftly. This company is trustworthy and affordable. I will definitely use them again if I have any problems.
There's nothing as exciting as when a tenant calls up saying there's water leaking from under a baseboard (except maybe playing Russian Roulette, but I'm not sure about the latter, and I don't intend to find out). We went over and looked at it and unfortunately it didn't look like something simple, so we needed a plumber. Our neighborhood plumber was booked a week out, and so were the two others he recommended, so it was off to Yelp to look for one... found a five star plumber, asked Yelp, Yelp offered to send info to multiple plumbers, and Ray was one of the ones that responded.
I was a little nervous about hiring a guy with only one review on Yelp, but he had good reviews on Google, Angie's List and other places so I decided to give him a shot... being available to come out the next day was definitely a big plus.
I was a little nervous when he came out in an SUV with a magnet on the side instead of a fancy painted truck but he definitely knew what he was doing. Unfortunately we had to replace an entire shower valve ($$$) instead of just a cartridge ($), but he did a great job and put an access panel in the wall instead of just leaving a giant hole in the sheet rock like I was expecting, so that was a nice plus.
Other pluses: entirely paperless, Ray showed me a complete estimate before he got started (which ended up being the final bill), and was willing to explain things. His pricing for the shower valve replacement I thought was pretty reasonable.
Minuses: when diagnosing the leak he noticed one of the toilets was leaking (into the bowl) so I asked him to fix that... the charge for that was I though was pretty high since he was here for something else as well, I've replaced toilet innards and it's pretty simple with cheap parts. But he did have the price on the estimate so I can't really complain.
Overall, I definitely would recommend him and will call him again for other issues... hopefully not any time soon though :)
Holy moly! My tubs are usable! Thank you
My 2 tubs had unusually low water pressure where they were basically unusable. I had another plumber (from another very reputable/licensed company with great reviews on Yelp) come out months ago to try to fix the issue. The plumber cleaned the cartridges which didn't fix the issue and told me our next step would be to tear out the walls to look at plumbing structural issues.
I wanted a second opinion so started calling around.
Ray came out quickly (I made my appointment only 3 days ago). quickly discerned that he just needed to change the cartridge on one tub and clean out the spout on the 2nd tub.
And now, a few hours later, we have 2 usable tubs! A total game changer!!! So happy. Thank you so much!!!
Quick to respond, friendly, and generally easy to deal with. Came over at our scheduled time to help replace a couple shut-off valves and gave me some extra advice on some other potential issues I asked about. Wore a mask the whole time at my request, as we're an immunocompromised household.
Nothing but good things to say, and I'll definitely be giving Davis a call whenever I need plumbing service in the future!

Had an awesome experience! Got a quote last week for full upgrades on outdoor spickets, toilets and valves. Work was completed within a couple business days.
Ray is amazing and has great customer service. Will be using him again for ongoing remodeling.
Scenario:
-Overall Plumbing Health Check on 4/22/22
The good:
-Increased/checked our overall water pressure by turning the proper valve outside the house
-Pointed out the water shut off valves outside the house in case of emergencies
-Answered general questions
The bad:
-They missed the first appt. I had to call to reschedule it proactively
-Failed to notice or inform us we had a leaky kitchen sink/pipes (I found out after water started pouring out underneath the cabinet the day after)
-Did not provide a quote to change our leaking kitchen sink faucet (which we knew about prior) or help find us a new sink which we were looking to replace for aesthetic reasons initially
-Did not follow up at all after the appt
-Felt as though I had to lead them through the house (each and every bathroom, sink etc) in order to get the overall plumbing checked vs them having a normal general flow of what they would routinely do for a thorough plumbing check
-Raymond put down his Apprentice multiple times while onsite which looked unprofessional and rude to me
-Raymond made rude comments with unnecessary unprovoked profanity about our home inspector and the details of the inspectors report which had lead us to reach out to Davis plumbing in the first place
-Raymond and his Apprentice walked around the house in their work boots without any offer to remove them (we had just moved in, so that wasn't respectful in my professional or personal opinion)
-I reached out again to Davis Plumbing via Yelp to get a quote and got a copy pasted new customer message back about setting an appointment before they could provide any further quotes or services
-Still no follow up since 4/22.
Their recommendations after the inspection: (our house was built in 2013 for ref)
-Replace all four of our duel flush toilets (due to being unreliable/break down the most often)
-Replace cartridges in two of our showers to make the knobs easier to turn and avoid a potential flood at 'some' point (Verbal quote of circa $700)
-Everything else looked 'good'
Ray (the owner) and another plumber communicated clearly, arrived when they said they would, fixed 4 leaks and drain clogs, and cleaned up when done. I'd hire them again.

Raymond fix our toilette he was punctual, fast, efficient and reliable. I asked him about other issues and he was very honest with his advise which made me trust him.
I recommend this company, the pricing is fair and they are good!
I have used them for 3 different issues, and every time they are on time, professional and reasonably priced. Their repairs are great, not a temporary fix but a proper repair.
Something to keep in mind, if you have a plumbing issue you are likely going to need a timely fix. Look up pricing and parts cost and have a reasonable idea of what costs you may be looking at before a plumber comes over, so you are not upset with a quote.
Highly recommended, will be using them for my next project!

Raymond was super quick to respond to the request and was able to schedule an appointment for the next day! He was very transparent about the issue, gave me multiple options, and was not salesy at all! He even took care of my shower flow issue at no cost. I think I found my go to plumbing service.

My downstairs neighbor reported dripping coming from her ceiling. It was close to a weekend and I was worried that I wouldn't be able to find someone fast. Davis Plumbing responded right away and came through with some exceptional problem solving for what turned out to be a dishwasher problem. Highly recommended!
Great service. Came out on a Saturday and didn't charge extra. Fixed the issue quickly. Very pleased.
I called Ray for a kitchen sink clog. Ray was able to get me in the schedule on the same day and identified the issue quickly. I asked Ray to upgrade my disposal and he also redirected the plumbing sink pipes so it would help for future clogging issues. He also gave me ideas for a water softener and his personal experience with brands and how to install. Ray and Davis plumbing are on my go to list for any future plumbing jobs. Thank you Ray for your professionalism and your friendly attitude.
Ray came out promptly to repair a leaking hose bib. I was expecting to pay $100 or more. He found a stray piece of silicon was impeding the washer, and charged me a fraction of what I expected to pay.
I am impressed with their honesty and their prices. Five+ stars.

There was a leak from the upper floor bath tub which started dripping through the ceiling of the lower floor. Another vendor quoted an exorbitant price for labor plus cost for replacing the entire fixture by breaking open the dry wall. Since I was more or less sure that the issue did not warrant such extensive replacement, I tried Davis Plumbing Services. Raymond reached my home within the window of appointment and was quick to identify the reason for the leak which was a very minor one that didn't require any additional labor or parts replacement. Quite impressed with his professional and honest approach.
We requested a quote via Yelp for assistance with swapping out our old electric cooktop and installing a gas cooktop to the line that had previously been capped off. Davis Plumbing was quick to respond, and send someone over same day to take a look at the project. Ray was extremely professional and personable, and completed the job in less than 2 hours. We plan to use Davis Plumbing for future projects!

Davis Plumbing Services did an excellent job! I had a part in my shower that needed to be replaced and he was able to fix it, he explained to me how the unit worked and what he was fixing, and was very reasonable in price. He was very professional, quick and the company has a great text message and communication system for follow-up and booking appointments. Raymond was great! He came and inspected our home for a possible leak, crawling into the far corner of our cramped attic. He was prompt, friendly, and personable, taking time to thoughtfully answer all of our questions. We have found our go to plumber and will be recommending him to all of our friends.

Davis Plumbing saved our old hot water heater pan from flooding over shortly after I called them at 4:30 on a Friday night when we had no hot water and the pan under the old water heater was filling up with water from a leak. So I called Davis Plumbing at around 4:45 and they answered the phone (after a few other plumbing companies didn't bother). Ray stepped my son through a couple of steps over the phone to stop the leak and then offered stop by on his way home from work to make sure the leak stopped and would be okay for the night, which he did. He did came back Saturday as promised and installed a new hot water heater much nicer than the one we had, with leak guards and other great features. I recommend Davis Plumbing highly and be contacting them again for other plumbing related issues. Our water heater stopped at 4:40pm Friday afternoon and several companies would not even come. They helped over the phone, came over within an hour to ensure leak stopped and it would be fine overnight. By Saturday afternoon, we had a brand new system that works perfectly. They are great!

The most EXPENSIVE plumber in my experience in Austin. Raymond, the owner, installed a new water valve under my kitchen sink. It was a 30 minute visit and a $30 part. if I had known what the issue was beforehand I would have been able to get quotes ahead of time but I trusted Raymond to be fair based on the reviews here. I was charged an outrageous $430. I told him it seemed out of line but he did not budge. The receipt given to me after I paid him was not itemized and after making another request, Raymond refused to give me an itemized receipt. He refused to tell me his hourly rate. He refused to tell me the cost of the part. I called other plumbers for a quote after Raymond Davis left and both plumbers (highly regarded) told me it would be less than an hour at $160 plus $30-50 for the valve for a total of about $210 at most. I allowed myself to believe the positive google or yelp reviews told the whole story. They do not. I was charged more than DOUBLE what a normal master plumber would charge for a simple 15 minute task. He also told me a flush for my tankless heater would be $450, TRIPLE the standard cost. Again he was trying to take advantage of me hoping I would not know better. I have never paid more than $150 for that service and have had tankless heaters in multiple houses for the past 20 years. He refuses to make this right after multiple messages to him and hung up on me when I called him before writing this review. He has no business address and receives payments on his wife's personal Venmo account. He wore no mask and did not offer to wear one which is even more false advertising. The worst experience with any contractor I have had in the 30 years I have owned a home in Austin.

There just isn't words available to express how it feels when you deal with a true professional in a time of need. The first 5 years I lived in my house I had my downstairs toilet come loose every few months. Every time a tech would come to reinstall the wax ring and it would get loose again. This last time I called Ray at Davis Plumbing Services and he showed up within the hour. As luck would have it he was finishing up a service in the area when I called. He told me the reason my toilet would not stay put is my mounting ring was damaged. He fixed that and set the toilet. The price was reasonable. I have not had an issue in over a year. I will not call anyone else in the future.

I hired Davis Plumbing Services to remove my old tank water heater and replace it with a tankless water heater.
Ray helped me with the selection of unit for my home and put me at ease on how he would complete the job. Ray took care of everything including the building of a wooden frame to mount the new water heater and all the plumbing for the water, gas and exhaust lines. The system he specified and installed worked out better than expected. Not only is my water hot it also comes to the tap faster than it did with my old water heater. I am very satisfied with the work that was done, and I recommend to anyone to use Davis Plumbing Services.

I called Ray early in the morning on a Saturday, and he was at my house just a few hours later, even earlier than he had promised, to fix a leaky stop-valve under my kitchen sink. He was knowledgeable and courteous, and was happy to answer other questions I had about the plumbing in my new house. Recommend!
