I had Fairway Installations out to my home this past week to install a water heater for me. Mine was still functioning fine, but it was over 12 years old, and I didn't want to be one of those people who wait for their unit to go out before seeking service. I had scheduled my appointment with Wilma and Amy, two of the nicest people I have ever spoken to over the phone. They had me scheduled for what suited my needs, for only two days after I had made the call. Then Cliff and Brandon(the installation team) for Fairway came and performed the install. They made the assessment of what was needed to bring my water heater up to city code, went over all my questions prior to the install, and quoted me before doing any work. The price was very fair, & I accepted their service. They made sure the heater had a pan, they got up on the roof and sealed around one of my pipes that had been leaking, and they had to drill to put a pipe for in case there were any leaks. I was very impressed with their professionalism, the timeliness of the install, and also the cleanliness of how they did their work. I have read some of the past reviews of this company, and as someone who has worked in retail for many years, I can assure you, the negative feedback is truly a joke. People try to wait until a week before their Thanksgiving meal to get an oven installed, or wait until their water heater is 15 years old and goes out, and then when a quality plumber who actually goes by manufacturer specifications and city code they get angry. The real problem is the fly by night plumbers who undercut the real plumbers who are doing things correctly. Sure, other plumbers might be cheaper, but are they pulling a permit to make sure the consumer isn't fined by the city? Are other plumbers doing things the manufacturer calls for? Customers often times only care about price, and they don't realize that in the end they might be hurting themselves by using an unlicensed plumber, etc. I for one will be using Fairway for all my plumbing needs, because I want a company that is licensed and does things the correct way!
