Fairway Plumbing is great!  They've done several different jobs for me and have always been fair and honest.    This time, Tyler and Brandon installed a new toilet for me.   The other one kept leaking and Tyler found a hair line crack in the tank.   I like these guys because they are honest and don't try to up sale me.   They also make sure the work is done right.  Wilma and Robert, who answer the calls are always nice and helpful, too!   I'll call them anytime I have a plumbing issue!

These folks are fast and reliable. NOTE: Asked the plumber to wear a KN95 mask from a sealed bag. He refused. I learned that the only way they will wear a KN95 is if--before you let them in--you wash your hands, put on sterile gloves, and hand them a sealed mask that they pull from your sealed container (otherwise you could have contaminated the sealed bag). They clearly understand the protocol and they know they're touching your doorknobs, counters, etc. They just won't wear a KN95 in your home. Not even over the top of their own mask. Remember: your mask protects them; their mask protects you. Other than that, these are pleasant folks who do plumbing. (Why do people have to be so weird about wearing masks?!)

Joey did a fast and excellent job of installing my new gas dryer.
I liked that Joey did the unboxing of the dryer so he could examine it carefully for any observable flaws or issues.  I was also relieved he brought the correct accessories for the installation - because I'd bought the wrong ones!  The young man who drove the truck was personable and easy-going to be with while Joey finished his great work.
When an earlier appointment was cancelled, they called and asked if they could come to my house early.  I readily said yes and they arrived in minutes because they were not far away (good scheduling probably located their installations by areas of town).

I'd waited 3 weeks for my gas dryer (very rare to have these days) to be shipped from out of state by Lowe's.  Waiting a week more for the installation didn't bother me a bit!

Fairway Plumbing came and did an outstanding job replacing our homeowners water cutoff as well as a pressure relief valve. Cliff and the other young man were extremely professional and did excellent work.  We highly recommend them.

These folks were easy to contact, easy to talk to and easy to set up an appointment with.

They showed up when they said they would, set up my water heater like they said they would, and were reasonably priced.

After they left, we thought the water pressure might have changed since the installation, and they sent someone out to check the pressure the next day as a courtesy call!

Prompt, professional, thorough and reasonably priced. What more could you ask for?

I bought a range, over-the-range microwave, and dish washer from Lowes on the day after Thanksgiving.  Fairway Plumbing did a great job installing the range and microwave.  I was immediately told that the dishwasher would likely not fit in the space I had available, and that I would need to buy a shorter and plastic rimmed dishwasher.  They measured my space and the dishwasher, and showed me it would not fit. They left without installing the dishwasher.

I checked out the details on the Lowes website, and there was a height range listed.  My space fit into that range.  I took pictures of a ruler against the space and sent them to Fairway along with the specs from the Lowes site.  I got some push back at first.  I was told that if they sent someone else out and it didn't fit that I would have to pay the trip fee.  I kept at it, and we checked out the pictures again, and she changed her mind.  They sent a guy who only installed dishwashers come out. He knew the story, and immediately turned the little feet on the dishwasher before bringing it in.  It went in without any problems.

So - that was a pain.  The first guys did a great job with the microwave.  It needed some extra work to do the installation, and they saw the problems and took care of them with no issues. I don't know how they didn't know that the dishwasher feet could be adjusted.  I'm sure they do now.  The dishwasher guy was great.  All of them were pleasant and respectful.  I'm giving Fairway 4 stars because everything did get done even though it was a painful process, and everyone was pleasant.  It's been several months, and there have been no problems.

I had to buy a water heater and chose Lowe's. Their installer, Fairway, was great. Wilma was really friendly and informative when setting up me installation appointment.

The install was done by Cliff and his partner, Adam I think. If the name is wrong, I apologize. Anyways, both gentlemen were awesome. Friendly, informative and very professional and quick.

I was informed that there would be extra charges in order to get the water heater and fittings up to code, so I knew going in there would be charges additional to what I had already paid. Cliff went through them with me and didn't make me feel like I was taken advantage of. Everything was explained.

I'm impressed. Hopefully I never need a plumber, but if I do, I'll call and request these guys.

My water heater died and we needed a new one quickly.  I called Fairway Installations, I was given a soft estimate over the phone and they came the next day to replace my old AO Smith low end heater with a top of the line Rheem.  The installation took an hour including bringing up to Texas Code.  The work was done professionally and impeccably.  The installers were friendly and professional.   The installation cost came in $175 below the low estimate given over the phone.  I would highly recommend Fairway Installation to anyone who asks.  They are also the preferred installer in our neighborhood having installed over 30 to very pleased customers.

Very professional and knowledgeable. I'm very pleased and grateful I found this company. It was my first time changing a water heater that has been in my home for 20 years! The installation looks very clean, and everything is up to code.  Thank you very much! It was a no hassle worry free experience. I had gotten a quote from another company a week before and fairway plumbing came in about $1,000 cheaper!!! Thank you again. Would definitely recommend them.

I replaced a microwave/oven combo wall unit with one I bought at Lowe's. Fairway did the installation and Joey and Matthew did a ***great*** job. They were polite, professional, cared about my house while moving this enormous unit in and out and completed the installation quickly and efficiently. They are very competent in this work. The units work and look great.

Nobody wants to wake up one day and (without warning) find out something they count on (water heater) is going to cost a bunch of money.  It happened to us and was most unwelcome. First, we called 'another' company.  That guy seemed very competent but we just couldnt pay his seemingly exorbitant price for a water heater.  So, we thought we should get a second opinion. A very nice lady named Wilma called from Fairway and said they would probably be about 30% less than the 'other' guy. In short, they were.  Under the circumstances, I couldnt have asked for a better experience. Cliff and Brandon came to my house, explained each cost with the installation and made it a very easy process.

Nobody wants to have to do this. But, if you have to, the Fairway team does a great job getting things back to normal. Thanks folks.  Hopefully, I dont need another water heater anytime soon. But, I will give you a call if I do.

Lowe's water heater installation, first off I did my homework and had 3 bids to install a new water heater, I had to bring plumbing up to the Austin 2015 codes and these guys did a great job. There was additional cost of $180, however it was all code related upgrades. I had 1 bid that was the same price, and 2 that were another $200-$600 more.  Total cost was at approx $1100, this was with military discount.  Not including a $50 rebate I need to send off.  So if you don't have an expansion tank and have a aux heat pump, be ready for those extra costs.   All in all I feel I got a fair price as I had other bids.  Also don't buy Lowe's install kit, as they don't use it and you just have to go return it to the store.

UPDATE:
The Monday after Fairway walked out on the job I paid for,  I called Lowe's to discuss the situation.

After speaking with Lowe's, it is my opinion that Fairway is dishonest. They lied to Lowe's about what actually occurred in my home.

I see 2 young kids here who did not want to finish a job on a Friday night and were unprofessional. They failed to set any expectations whatsoever when they made the appointment about time windows. They failed to communicate much at all - before the appointment or while they were here. They do not appear to understand the meaning of integrity. They completely walked off the job without doing anything that I had scheduled and paid for. They clearly do not value the customer (just their $$). They apparently do not give a (insert curse word here).

Fairway provided Lowe's with a new estimate, just for the oven, and it is OUTRAGEOUS!
- They upped the basic installation of $139 that I paid Lowe's to $200.
- They want $105 to remove/replace platform. That is the plywood under the oven that keeps the oven level. There is nothing wrong with the existing platform.
- They want $75 to cut the wood.
- They want $245 to relocate the gas location to the next cabinet.
- They want $139 to remove & reinstall my existing cooktop over the oven. I guess this is so they can be comfortable while moving the gas line instead of working from a very roomy cabinet entrance.
- So for the bargain price of $764 they will install my oven, but not until after Thanksgiving, since they appear to be too busy with other appointments.
I THINK NOT! Let's not forget the microwave at $140. - so $904 was what they wanted.

Company MISREPRESENTS their values. This is from their website: Fairway is a company that was put together with the consumer in mind. We actually named our company with the term Fair Way after being witness to far too many consumers falling victim to unfair business practices. We deliver a service and product that we believe to be unmatched by anyone in the industry. We protect the consumer by doing the job with quality parts, knowledgeable & licensed professionals and following all the state law's and codes.... We do it the FairWay. We do the customer right. We offer better services at a lower price than our competitors...Most of our competitors talk the talk but don't walk the walk. We under promise and over achieve on every job we do. We have dedicated Employees..... It's the FairWay or no way ....

Are you kidding me???? I would have to say, they have no idea what the word FAIR means! They should rename themselves to UntrustworthyWay and get some orange jumpsuits to match!

--------------------------------------
Side Note - I had my oven and microwave installed today by an appliance installation company that contracts with other Lowe's locations (not the Brodie store) and other appliance retailers. No new platform was needed, they did not need to remove and replace my cook top, and were able to recess the Gas valve. Cost for everything (installation of microwave, oven and recessing the gas line) was $315. Talk about price disparity!

No complaints here. We were scheduled with this service by Lowe's, upon purchasing a dishwasher. We did have to wait 3 weeks from the day of purchasing until the actual installation, but the scheduled call went smoothly. Our technician was John K. He was very polite, explained all he did, and gave us a brief overview about the unit. Thank you John!

Flat out the best install experience I've ever had!  These guys were the absolute best. I wish they worked on cars.  After they installed my dishwasher they went over all the functions with me.  They were so knowledgeable about it that I was starting to think they designed it.  I won't do another installation unless these two are the ones doing it.  Ask for the Dennis and Nicholas team and you can't go wrong!

I'm giving Fairway a 4-star rating instead of a 5 because I think their pricing is a little to high. With that being said, I was still very impressed. The guys that showed up were very young, but they were very friendly and professional. I had even accidentally ordered the wrong water heater and they located the correct water heater the same day to install it. The job was done on-time and pretty quickly given the circumstances. I would use their services again even though the price is probably a little higher, based on the professionalism that was presented and because they made extra effort to find the correct water heater. Good customer service and good ethics are really lacking in the service industry sometimes and I appreciate when I run across it.

My kitchen faucet had an intermittent leak and needed replacing. Went to Lowe's, picked out a standard Delta unit with installation. Fairway rep, Tara, called within 4 hours, and the service call was scheduled for the next day between 10-2. The next morning, the technician John K. called and got to the house around 10am. He quickly and professionally installed and tested the unit and was done around 11am or so. Text book service call and installation. Perfect. Highly Recommended Company.

I have had the awesome opportunity to have Fairway Installation install 3 major appliances, during a major kitchen renovation! My experience from Wilma, at the main office, to the installers; Joey Smith and Cody Decker, were professional, extremely helpful, so friendly, excellent workmanship and always willing to go over and above! They were efficient and always called with a time of arrival! I can't say enough great things about this company and the exceptional standards of workmanship! Thank you...Wilma, Joey and Cody...you are absolutely the best!!!!!!! I will definitely let anyone I know that this company is your go-to installation company!!

Lowes Installer.  Joey/John did an estimate first: walked me thru everything that would be required to install to Austin code. Took pictures. Estimate was 1of4 and all were within $150 of each other.
Installers (Chester) were professional; efficient and polite. Took only 1.5 hrs to install. Had slight problem with water pressure--Came back timely and fixed--no addtl charge. Lowes also followed up to be sure service was done to my satisfaction.

John from Fairway handled our dishwasher installation from Lowes. Showed up in early in the time window they gave us. He did an awesome job! The old dishwasher was difficult to remove due to hardwood flooring being installed over the existing flooring (before I bought the house). John was able to get the old one out with no damage to floor or countertops and the new one into the tight spot. He was very focused on ensuring the new one was properly placed, leveled and aligned. He made sure everything was in proper working order and gave me a tour of the features and maintenance tips. Super pleased with the service and results!

A very positive experience.  The scheduler called within a few hours of purchasing the new cooktop from Lowes and set up the detail (required) and install for the next day.  Joey arrived on time.  He was courteous and professional, carefully removing the old cooktop and cleaning up during and after.  He was also very careful with the cabinetry.  Thank you Fairway team!

Lowe's installer for a gas range.  Once I made contact with Wilma (scheduler for installations) she set up the install for the next day.  Cliff and Brandon were the installation team and Cliff gave me a courtesy call prior to arrival, which was within the time window specified by Wilma.  Cliff and Brandon were prompt on their arrival, and were quick and efficient in their removal of the old range and installation of the new unit. And icing on the cake - both Cliff and Brandon were very friendly, courteous, and careful of our hallway walls as they removed the old range and brought in the new range.  They pointed out a chip in the enamel of the new range when it was removed from the packaging and offered me the choice of refusing the delivery.  I chose to disregard the defect but I appreciate them being forthright in bringing it to my attention.  Everyone I dealt with at Fairway - Wilma, Cliff, and Brandon - was friendly and professional.  A very positive experience.

Dennis Moore & Nicholas Mendoza did an excellent job of installing our dishwasher and motionsense faucet that we bought from Lowes. They were on time, professional and very accommodating (the A/C had gone out the day before, so the A/C guy was still here when they arrived and they had no problem nor comments about working around this).

This is an outstanding company. They installed a water heater in my home. Truly professional company. Very friendly knew what they were doing completed the installation quicker than I anticipated. Explains everything they were doing, and when finished, went over the operation with me. I can recommend them for any installations.

I was pleased with every area from start to finish with this service provider. Cliff Huggins and his assistant gave a fair and accurate estimate including the services I requested. I never felt pressured and was given several options. I previously had another service provider give me an estimate and it was far out of the acceptable range. The receptionist who set up my appt. was very friendly and seemed honest and concerned about getting a good time that worked with my schedule. Lowes definitely has a good service provider to support their products. I was given instructions on what was done and when the work was completed the work area was cleaned and left as it was found. I highly recommend Fairway Installation and Lowes products and plan to use them in the future. Thank you very much Cliff for a great job!

These are the guys Lowe's uses for installations of water heaters.  Once you pay the $259 installation fee, these guys come out to deliver and install the water heater.  I can't say that my experience was typical, I can only review what I had happen.  The installers showed up and couldn't wait to ask if Lowe's explained there would be uncharges.  I was told there could be upcharges to bring everything up to code if needed.  I understand a reasonable installation incidental fee, but the extra cost was going to be over $500.  So a $400 water heater was about to cost $1312.  The really surprising part was the complete apathy from the moment the guys arrived.  It was after 5 PM, the installers looked tired and I couldn't help but feel that the goal was to come up with such a high price that they'd either take a sucker's money or be happy to go home and just collect a $35 delivery fee.  I understand that sometimes the cost goes up for minor incidentals but this felt outrageous. Very disappointed.

I had Fairway Installations out to my home this past week to install a water heater for me. Mine was still functioning fine, but it was over 12 years old, and I didn't want to be one of those people who wait for their unit to go out before seeking service. I had scheduled my appointment with Wilma and Amy, two of the nicest people I have ever spoken to over the phone. They had me scheduled for what suited my needs, for only two days after I had made the call. Then Cliff and Brandon(the installation team) for Fairway came and performed the install. They made the assessment of what was needed to bring my water heater up to city code, went over all my questions prior to the install, and quoted me before doing any work. The price was very fair, & I accepted their service. They made sure the heater had a pan, they got up on the roof and sealed around one of my pipes that had been leaking, and they had to drill to put a pipe for in case there were any leaks. I  was very impressed with their professionalism, the timeliness of the install, and also the cleanliness of how they did their work. I have read some of the past reviews of this company, and as someone who has worked in retail for many years, I can assure you, the negative feedback is truly a joke. People try to wait until a week before their Thanksgiving meal to get an oven installed, or wait until their water heater is 15 years old and goes out, and then when a quality plumber who actually goes by manufacturer specifications and city code they get angry. The real problem is the fly by night plumbers who undercut the real plumbers who are doing things correctly. Sure, other plumbers might be cheaper, but are they pulling a permit to make sure the consumer isn't fined by the city? Are other plumbers doing things the manufacturer calls for? Customers often times only care about price, and they don't realize that in the end they might be hurting themselves by using an unlicensed plumber, etc. I for one will be using Fairway for all my plumbing needs, because I want a company that is licensed and does things the correct way!
