HISTORY

Established in 2009.
Before I started The Plumbinator LLC, I was working for a big name plumbing company and was disgusted by how they treated their customers - they were taking advantage of people in trouble who had no water or couldn't use their toilet. We are moral and ethical people who treat our customers with respect, as what they are: our friends and neighbors. We are allies with and for our LGBTQIA+ customers who count on us to provide a safe and expert plumbing experience in their homes. Our prices are fair and you can trust us to not charge for things you don't need. Call us and leave your plumbing problems in our hands. M#39038

ABOUT BUSINESS OWNER

I am a Master Plumber with 25 years experience installing plumbing in new houses and repairing plumbing in old houses. This combination of experience is rare in the plumbing world. I can see things three-dimensionally in my head and turn them 360 degrees, like a mental CAD program, to see through the walls and diagnose your problem.

Every plumber has specialties, and mine are cast iron sewer pipe replacement in older houses, finding and fixing water leaks non-invasively and installing tankless water heaters. When other plumbers can't pinpoint the spot of your mystery leak, that's when they call me to step in and find it fast and fix it right. Thinking about a tankless heater? I'll tell you for free if you need one or not, and if you do, how much it will be.

Vote with your dollars to support local, family-owned and run small business, and my sons and I will treat you as a friend and neighbor to help you get back to normal quickly and economically.

Thanks and see you soon!

Mickey and Jordan did the plumbing for our bathroom remodel. They did an amazing job, taking excellent care of us throughout the process, including dealing with the permits (which is extra difficult in our area)

These guys are the real deal - and went the extra mile for us on several occasions.

Thank you so much!

Im way overdue writing this review, so my apologies to The Plumbinator Team. But I still think about the lovely interaction I had with this company after 10 months. This interaction began when my husband and I decided to convert a space in our house for my dog grooming business.

I initially found The Plumbinator after searching for women-owned companies. As a woman/home-manager/business owner, I've found it extremely difficult to find tradesmen who don't wreak of misogyny when having to interact with females. I've been talked down to, lied to, and insulted in my own home on numerous occasions.

So it was reassuring to schedule my appointment with Wendy, the Plumbinator Matriarch, and be treated with respect and understanding. Better yet, when her husband and son (don't we all love supporting a local family business) came to assist with our project, I was all the more grateful to discover Mickey, The Master Plumbinator, a very kind and respectful professional.

He not only did a phenomenal job with our project, but he also took the time to share with me some words of encouragement and wisdom for the start of my new business. He spoke of valuing ourselves and the work we put into the world - of not allowing others to undervalue our skills. It was sage advice, and words that spoke to the Plumbinator's team's master craftsmanship, timely resolution, and fair but not cheap (because we all know we get what we pay for) pricing.

I had them out to give me an estimate to fix a problem with my clothes dryer vent.  The company charged $150.00 dollars just to come out and look.  Spent five minutes with me, told me the problem was the dryer and not the vent line flooding.  They were wrong!
I bought a new dryer as they recommended, installed it today and I have the same problem!  The issue is water getting into my vent line from outside the home....a problem I diagnosed.
The company wanted $250 dollars to use the borescope to inspect the line.  I very politely declined. (Told them to pound sand, as I can buy the camera for less than $60 dollars online.
Bottom line:  If you have any other choices, I recommend not using this company for any plumbing related work.

These guys are top notch!  My water heater broke on a Sunday. I called them Monday morning and Corey and team arrived within a couple hours. By that afternoon I had a brand new water heater installed at a reasonable price.  A few days later I had an unrelated issue they came back to investigate. They fixed it in five minutes and didn't charge me for the visit. This is unheard of!! If you want a fair and thorough plumbing service, call the Plumbinator. They were recommended by a friend and I will enthusiastically recommend them to everyone!!

We just moved into a house that needed a few maintenance issues addressed. After calling the Pluminator, they put us on the books for a visit in a few days. Once at the house they replaced a few outdoor faucets and addressed a leaky tub faucet. They explained what the problems were, how they planned to fix them, and answered any other questions we had. We noticed a few days later that our replacement faucet was not functioning properly, so they sent someone out the same day and fixed the problem without any additional cost and even explained what caused the problem. Overall we are pleased with their services, and we plan to contact them for future plumbing issues! They are very personable and easy to talk to unlike some other professionals who don't seem to care if you know what they're doing or not. We also really love that they're a family-run business!

The Plumbinator helped us with a major issue at our house several years ago   when other plumbing companies told us we needed a $10k - $15k repair. They were able to complete the repair for a fraction of the other company's estimates and based on this first experience, we decided to call the Plumbinator again for a more recent job.

Mickey and his apprentice arrived on schedule and did an awesome job re-routing a broken water line to bring water back into our game room bar and restroom. They showed me everything they were doing and made recommendations for things I could do myself, allowing us to save a lot of money once again. The quality of their work is top notch.

We feel very fortunate to have found an honest and professional plumber and I will continue recommending The Plumbinator to my friends and family. We can't thank them enough!

I contacted The Plumbinator of Round Rock over the phone and asked if I could get an estimate for some water hammer issue I was having. She was completely informed from me that I have high water pressure and would need a pressure relief valve installed.
The lady on the phone scheduled an appointment and NEVER mentioned there would be a service fee. To my shock I got an invoice the next day. I called to ask why I got an invoice and was NEVER told there would be a $50.00 service fee.
The lady was rude when I was asking about why I was not told up front about any service fees. In fact, I asked why she did not tell me and her reply was, I would have told you if you would have asked. I tried to explain that I think it is her responsibility to inform
me and not me ask her. At this point, I got hung up on. I would have politely declined and went on a search for other companies had she done her job and informed me about a service fee. This is worse than a hidden fee. This is a NEVER told fee.

If I could give 10 stars, I would. Mickey, Cesar and Steve did our entire home's plumbing - replacing all of our old cast iron with new pipe. I could write a novel about how much we love these guys, but we are truly grateful for the work they did, Mickey's constant communication with us, and just the entire process. If you are looking for a plumber for any job - from just a toilet repair to an entire home, these are the plumbers for you. They also saved us over $10k compared to competitors.

This review is long overdue.  I have called on Mickey more than once to help me fix some plumbing issues. Let's start with the back story that led me to call Mickey:

I reside in a home that was built in 2003 (so its not old but its not new). I am the second owner of this home and the previous owners left many of the builder grade facets in the home when I purchased it. There is nothing wrong with that BUT just like anything else after 15 years upgrades need to be done to meet new codes and for esthetic and efficiency purposes.

Round One:
2019- I phoned Mickey because it was taking FOR-EV-ER (said in the Sandlot tone) for my hot water in my master bathroom to heat. I had to run my shower for several minutes before it even got warm. What I discovered was that I may need a circulation pump installed.  This is because the distance hot water needs to travel is the reason cold water comes out of a shower/sink first.  When the faucet is on, hot water is drawn to the sink through your plumbing. Turning it off stops the water but doesn't return it to the water heater. It stays in the pipes and gets cold. The more piping between the water heater and the faucet, the more cold water there is and the longer it takes to get that hot shower water that I needed. My hot water heater like most folks is in the garage and my master bath is all the way on the opposite side of my home (for reference my home is about 2,600 sq. feet but the water heater is outside of the house in the garage, so... add another 355 sq. feet to the 2,600 to account for the garage space) so the water has to travel a bit to get to my shower and get hot). Accordingly, Mickey put in a recirculating pump in for me.

Round Two:
Fast forward to 2020, I redid my second bathroom because (a) it was outdated (b) I needed to change the shower tub combo to make it a stand up shower to accommodate my house guest for whom the tub is a problem and (c) I required something easier to clean than the current set-up, which was back breaking labor --bending and scrubbing the low profile bathroom tub.

Mickey and his team removed my toilet and vanity and moved the drain in the bathroom and piping to accommodate a stand-up shower. The team then put my toilet  and new vanity in as well as replaced my broken closet flange. But wait there's more (said in my infomercial voice)...there was an issue with my hot water AGAIN. Mickey and his crew were able to deduce that the thermostat element on my hot water heater was broken.

Mickey and his crew have not only taken care of my issues but have educated me on common household plumbing issues. This crew has done great work for me and are honest, trustworthy and reasonably priced.

I had a slab leak and was referred to The Plumbinator by a friend who has used them. Mickey and his team came out and tracked down the source. Then they got most of my water up and running for the next few days until they could come back out to do the work of rerouting the line rather than tearing up my foundation.

I felt good about paying them what I feel was a very fair price. Slab leaks aren't cheap, but Mickey took the time to walk me through the process and his pricing is the best I've seen. They do quality work, clean up after themselves, and are very respectful and friendly to work with. Bottom line, they're just good people who want to help and get paid fairly. I'm not interested in supporting other companies' television ad budget. Word of mouth for a job well done is the best advertisement.

The plumber I used for 20+ years was stricken during Covid. I postponed as long as possible knowing it would be a monumental task to replace. I hit gold on the first call. I chose these guys because they are family owned.  They did not disappoint.  The tasks included a particularly challenging leak from a pool line which could have been an aesthetic nightmare, if done wrong. Corey and A.J. repaired the leak beautifully.

This guys are awesome. One of our water heaters started leaking last week. We call a few plumbing companies to get quotes and the Plumbinator was by far the most affordable. We set up an appointment to get the water heater replace the next day. They came and did the job very clean, fast and professional. Local business, family owned and operated. So happy with their job that next week we will schedule to get the second water heater replace too. Thank you!!!

Mickey and his crew are top notch and would be at the top of my list for any plumbing issue. Wendy was kind and easy to work with to get us scheduled as soon as possible. When they arrived, it only took a few minutes to locate the problem. In a couple of hours it was fixed. I had a chance to talk to Mickey during the job and really appreciate how much pride he has in his work and left me little doubt why he has built a reputation for being the best at what he does. They are good people, easy to work with, very fair on price and stand by their work as a solid family business.

I've now had this shower going for about a year, and it's my only new plumbing in the entire house. After 1 year of use, the pressure stopped on just the hot side and just in this section of new pipe. The hot sinks further down the line worked fine. New cartridge didnt work, there was a clog in the new hot line.

Called plumbinator and they said they couldn't come look for 2 weeks. My house is on the market and I couldn't wait 2 weeks. 4 other plumbers came in to look within a couple days and it wasnt even their original work.

Sure there's a chance something got stuck and had nothing to do with the install, but to not backup your own work in a reasonable time to at least check is not cool.

I've used these guys twice now for a water main issue and they are great.  They do work for the customer and offer a fair price. I say fair because they do honest quality work and should be fairly paid for it. The builders planted three trees directly over my water main and the roots were causing leaks. Obviously, removing the trees would solve the problems, but my wife really wanted to keep the magnolias and they were beautiful. instead of repairing the leak the option was to run a new line a few feet away from the trees. It was hard work given all the roots, but they got the job done. Used quality parts and didn't cut corners. I'd rather have a plumber do a quality job, than to have a cheap hack job.

We hired Mickey and his team out to check out potential leaks in our property. Our house has been on the market and under contract, with the buyers concerned with potential leaks.  Mickey came out same day, and was so diligent and professional in his tests and assessment.  He clearly has decades of experience and was a top specialist in his field.  Mickey was able to validate every concern we had to rule out non-issues, pinpoint real problems and answer all our questions with patience along the way explaining and showing us every step of the process.  He went out of his way to explain the situation to potential buyers to give us all the peace of mind that the property was good to go.  This could have potentially gotten into a really confrontational situation between us and the buyers but Mickey handled it like a pro and made both sides at ease.

I would highly recommend Mickey for any specialist plumber needs as he's not only a highly skilled master plumber, but also one of integrity and I would trust him with any of my future properties any day!

Beneath The Slab... The Final Frontier...

These are the voyages of our home-shaped spacecraft.  At least, during the pandemic, that's how I've explained it to my kids.  We're on a ship, we have limited ability to take shuttles to places, and only at great need.  Our food is delivered via Underway Replenishment, and we're on patrol until further orders come in from Starfleet.  Or something.

Well, we had a minor problem in engineering.  To the tune of 30 gallons an hour.  The 3/4 pipe between our utility room and our guest bathroom had ruptured... under the slab.

Enter Eric Stolle Plumbing and The Plumbinator.  This amazing tag team of technical experts in the plumbing profession put us right, quickly and without the need to crack into our foundation.  I cannot say enough about the timeliness, courtesy or professionalism of both of these companies, and how they exchanged information and expertise to take what might have been a much more extended (and expensive!) process and get it down to a couple of visits and a minimal disruption of water services.  When we're telling the kids to pretend we're on a spaceship to make the quarantine more bearable, we kind of need to avoid as much, um, life support failure as possible.  And these enterprising engineering entrepreneurs made sure the problem was fixed with as little of that as was practicable.  My night owl son pretty much slept through what little water disruption there was.

Folks, if you spring a leak in your... umm... warp core... or something... you can't go far wrong than to employ either or both of these outfits to come put you right again.  Mickey The Plumbinator helped us solve a massive issue when we were two weeks in as foster parents, and Eric from Eric Stolle Plumbing has handled issues for us for years as well.  In this day and age, it's rare to find companies you can trust who will not steer you wrong.  Both companies are dedicated to ensuring you have the best fix for the minimal price, they've got the kind of integrity that gives peace of mind when the rest of the world is going crazy.

I'm grateful to these two companies for getting us back to where we needed to be, when home becomes office and schoolhouse, and we can't afford to be without the necessities of life in  our little pretend spaceship.  Now, off to the galley to feed the crew.  Live Long and Prosper, and may the Force be with you!

I'm so disappointed with this company.  We had used them in the past and they had done a great job so we called them back to help us with a small issue we were having with our shower head.  They came out, made our problem worse and then refused to come back out to fix it.  So very frustrated and disappointed.  Now I'm back on the search for yet another plumber...

My dad was a builder and taught me to do things myself if I wanted it done right. Well that's not always possible so it's always a challenge to find honest, hardworking companies to do an important job for me. So I spent probably 4 hours researching plumbing companies before I came across an article written by Mickey's wife and business partner. The article explained why NOT to do something I just knew was the right thing for me to do (my dad passed last year so can never get much welcomed advice from my #1 go-to). After reading the very straight forward and logical article, I not only knew I did NOT want what I thought I did, but I possibly found a company to work with. That was just the beginning! I asked for a quote and Mickey, the owner himself!!! met me at my jobsite and went over everything with me and explained in detail why certain things were necessary and possible set backs they could run into. WOW!!! He was not only patient and thorough but I felt like I had an intense plumbing lesson! I knew I had found my company! From start to finish, Mickey and his amazing team (mostly family) were there when they said they would be, went WAY above and beyond what they said they would do, were friendly and professional... I could go on and on. I will never use another plumber!! And so very thankful Wendy took the time to write such an amazing article and Mickey took the time to explain. LOVE these people!! And, to me, customer service is 98% of a company. The Plumbinator is 100% right on!!

The first guy that came out was great. This guy today, young guy, just said we need a new water heater for $1600.  He didn't look at anything. He was impatient like we were a problem. We asked him what the actual problem was-didn't know.  Next we called the office to express or concern that we still didn't know what the issue was and the lady on the phone said, Did he charge you?  We said no.  She then said,  well if he doesn't know then I guess you need to call another company.  Really???
I guess they have plenty of business.  I am so tired of businesses like this just giving you the shaft and be ok with it.

Due to a con-man contractor, we were abandoned without hot water for 3 1/2 weeks! We were desperate! Luckily, we met the Plumbinator.

Mickey squeezed us in that evening. He talked to us, looked around, thought about it... and fixed our tankless water heater! In less than 30 minutes! He also walked around with us to help us understand all the things done by our former plumber that weren't up to code.

Long story short, he not only fixed all of our plumbing issues but he helped us deal with the city inspectors and even helped us find a reputable contractor who would take on our renovation from hell.

I can't recommend Mickey and the Plumbinator crew highly enough!

WOW! When you have a leak, water is seeping from the side of your home over the slab, water finding its way into your home... CALL.THE.PLUMBINATOR!
I called, they came as soon as the could and once I met them at the house, we introduced each other, we shook hands and in a flash I was watching the A-Team going after the leak with equipment of all types and a problem solving team- they were like plumbing forensic scientists. They capped the pipe that night and came back, ASAP to finish the job.
Problem has been resolved. Very good and fair pricing, also. Mickey, Tim, Steve and Chad were a great choice for us!

Wow, seriously impressed with these folks! We actually wanted to use the Plumbinator back in September when we had a serious clog in the pipes running under our house, but they had a bit of a wait and the issue was urgent.

So, the next time we had an issue, we called them and they were able to come next day (aka today!) Embarrassingly, our issue was extremely small and we probably should have/could have fixed it ourselves (I panicked after our major issues a few months ago). Because of the 5-minutes they spent here, they did not even charge us.

They were competent, friendly, and didn't make my husband feel like an idiot for something we should have found. We will absolutely, 100% use them again for future plumbing issues.

So, on a Friday just after 3:00 PM, almost 6 months into the COVID-19 pandemic, I noticed water accumulating on the floor of my garage near the water heater closet. I opened the door to it, and sure enough it appeared that my almost 30-year old water heater was finally kicking the bucket. I contacted several places to try to get someone out to my house to at least stop the leak that late on a Friday. Not only did Tim, son of The Plumbinator, come out to take a look but said he could get it replaced within a couple of hours because he did not want to leave me without hot water for the weekend. They used fans to dry out the closet while they went to get the replacement, cleaned everything out, replaced the fixings that needed to be updated and got the new hot water heater installed and working by 6:30 PM. Everything is now up to current code and they followed all the necessary social distancing guidelines and procedures. I would highly recommend reaching out to this local, family-run business if you have any plumbing needs.

Mickey Womack (the owner) came to my house to diagnose a leak.  Our water bill had doubled in a month and we wanted to iron out where the issue was.  First we contacted the city and, after sending someone out, they said the issue must be on our end.  Mickey came (on time) and was friendly and knowledgeable.  I don't know much of anything about plumbing but Mickey and his son were more than willing to explain what they were doing and help me understand the diagnostics process.

Mickey found the causes of the leaks and offered us options on him fixing them.  Of the leaks he found, he even offered to refer us to another company since it was in our sprinkler system.  Mickey said the sprinkler company would charge less for the repairs.  It would have been easy for him to just tell us that he will do it and charge us more.

Mickey quoted us prices on fixing the leaks caused by bathroom toilets and another random item I wanted to know how much it would fix.

Overall I was very happy and appreciate someone that is willing to share knowledge on what processes they are using to identify issues.

If there were more stars to give, I'd give them all to Mickey and his team. After reading the reviews on Yelp and visiting his website, I just knew in my gut he was the guy to help me find the leak in my slab, and he was. Finding that leak was no small feat -- I think the people who laid the pipe in this 30 year old house must've been inspired by M.C. Escher's artwork, because it was a crazy maze. But Mickey was undeterred!

I'm sure others can do leak detection well, but that's not what sets The Plumbinator apart from every other plumber I've ever hired. Mickey made sure I understood what was happening every step of the way. The only surprises were pleasant ones as Mickey and his team were able to re-route pipes through the attic to avoid tearing up my slab, saving me time, money, and the possibility of more leaks from this pipe down the road.

Moreover, I felt like an honored and valued customer by Mickey and his entire team, even though this was my first time working with The Plumbinator. I sincerely have never had such exceptional customer service.

Think I'll ever call another plumber? Not on your life.

Think I'll recommend him to my friends? Hell, yes.

Thank you for making the trek from Round Rock to south Austin, Mickey, John, Nigel & Tim!

The Plumbinator is the man!

I have a water heater that recently stopped working. Called a competitor who sent a rep. who glanced at the tank and said This is beyond repair, it will cost at least $1,600 for a new model. So, I call the Plumbinator. He and his buddy arrive early for their appointment (!), then take a long look at the problem. The Plumbinator tells me straight up that it may or may not be possible to save the water heater with a small repair. He goes and gets the parts and voilà, I have hot water! Saved me over $1,300! I now have a plumber whom I trust...for life!

I recently called The Plumbinator for service because of the positive reviews I read. Good choice!

Mickey and his team were polite, on-time, and stuck with their initial quote.  While working on my job they really went the extra mile and made sure our plumbing/related needs were well met! Also - my job had to be spread over several dates so I had to call for the appointments and never once got stuck in voice mail or put on 'ignore' - I had a real person to speak with!

Now we know who to call for plumbing - and would recommend them to anyone!

Mickey is a great guy and great plumber. Although he did hear my British accent and ask me if I was a Whovian. I had no idea what that was. If you are a Doctor Who fan you will probably get even better service.

Anyway, we had a plumbing leak from a master bathroom sink that was connected to an AC overflow and he came over at 8.30pm until around 10.30pm and worked to get it fixed well. My husband apparently sounded so desperate on the phone as our house is under contract. No other plumber cared enough to help us so quickly. His pricing is very reasonable and I really wish we hadn't paid that last plumber.

There is certainly something to be said for just picking up the phone.

I had a job during Christmas season so I tried calling around.  All of the 5 star plumbers here on Yelp either didn't pick up at all or never returned my voicemails.  The Plumbinator not only picked up on the second ring, but had somebody out to look at my job that day.

Even though they couldn't complete the job right then, they schedule for a time that wasn't too far out.  Mickey and team did a WONDERFUL job and took care of my wife when I was out of town and couldn't be there to help.

I cannot recommend The Plumbinator enough.  Mickey does business the way a good businessman does, with a handshake and no legalese on the back of the contract.  5, 10, 50 stars isn't enough!

Mickey and his team did a great job for me and my wife on a property we purchased in central Austin. A pre-purchase inspection revealed that the main waste water line from the house to the connection in the yard had to be replaced. Some incoming water and gas lines under the house (pier and beam) needed to be properly strapped down and a new waste water line run for the kitchen sink and the washing machine. We got three quotes and Plumbinator was the best (about $3,000 cheaper than the highest quote).

Mickey's team consists of family members, including Corey, Tim, Nigel and Wolfgang. All of the young men were friendly, respectful and well informed on plumbing issues. They also worked hard. Mickey himself will tell you as much as you want to know about the work to be done, how it is to be done, and why. He takes pride in being a man of his word and believes in doing things properly. He will not cut corners or try to evade city plumbing codes or requirements.

He explained clearly the work to be done and told me up front that they would have to knock a couple of holes in some sheet rock to install new pipes and that I would be responsible for getting the sheet rock repaired. We also had them re-position a toilet (turn it 90 degrees and move the pipe over a few inches). The toilet got damaged in the process but Mickey replaced it with a better one at no cost to me. He also actually re-re-positioned the toilet after my wife and I decided that we wanted it just a little bit to the left. No complaints, no remarks, no big upcharge.

We plan to add a bathroom to that house within a year and Mickey and his team will be the guys we call to do the plumbing work for that and for work we plan to have done on our personal home. I found these guys to be honest, hard working and dependable and will recommend them to anyone.

Great work by the team here. They showed up on time and gave me an estimate before doing any work. If I didn't want the work done, they would have walked away and it would have cost me nothing.

They gave a good price for the work I needed done. It was $150 to replace a tub diverter, including changing from a slip-fit diverter to a screw on. That included the cost of the copper pipe that he installed as well.

I needed a faucet cartridge replaced in my bathroom and they were going to charge me $250 plus parts to do it and offered to do my other bathroom for another $250 (This is a $20 part and takes about 20 minutes to replace!). Then the plumber said he couldn't remove the cartridge so he'd need to cut into the wall and give me a whole new valve (no telling what that would cost). I ended the appointment there.
I finally heard back from another plumber I use often at work (Biggs Plumbing) and their man came out and replaced both cartridges without having to cut  into the wall (because he's been around a while and knows the tricks of the trade) and did it for a total of $228. Approximately $1000 vs $230.

I had a leak in my hot water supply to kitchen from the slab. I called this plumber service and it
turned out to be the best part of my week! They worked me in, Corey and Nigel came out, diagnosed the problem quickly, then Mickey arrived, they found my closest manifold using their knowledge of house plumbing... no fish tape.. capped my hot water supply.  They came
back a few days later, rerouted my hot water to the kitchen ... all told they completed this work
in 51/2 hours tops.  They charged me less than a previous plumbing company charged me for
7 hours in which time they did nothing but tear up my walls and kitchen sink, broke my shower
handle, and broke something in my toilet flush apparatus.

I got bids from 5 plumbing companies to replace my water heater.  The Plumbinator not only had the best price, but they used better quality equipment and were able to do the work quickly and cleanly.  The guy who came out and gave the estimate and did the work was very knowledgeable and caught some things that the much older guys from the other companies missed.  He also didn't talk down to me like some of the other guys did.  We just had the city come out to do the inspection and they said everything looks great!  I would definitely use The Plumbinator again.

Needed help with a backed up shower and toilet at a rental property after receiving a call from the new tenant.  Called an hour after the apt to see how things were going and was told that the clog freed up on its own.  The plumber took the time to explain to me how after a house sits debri etc in the pipes can harden causing a blockage.

This one worked itself out.  When I asked about the bill for the service call he explained no charge!!!  I remember companies that do good business, not just good repairs but good business.

Thanks!

I made an appointment with this company four days ago to have our gas logs installed. I *just* received a call to let me know that their master plumber is not interested in the job. We originally tried to do it ourselves, but could never keep the smell of gas from filling our living room - took that as a cue to not light it, stop what we were doing and call a professional for help. I chose Plumbinator because of all the glowing reviews. I guess he's only awesome if your job is big enough.

I still prefer my house to *not* blow up, so I guess I'll need to find help elsewhere.

I'm currently renting a home here and Round Rock and my landlord asked to call a plumber for the master bedroom toilet we been having issues with it flushing. For a month I been trying to auger it out myself that would work for a few days and then it would clog up again. I'm pretty handy around the house but when I would auger it, I can feel it getting hung up on something. I new from that point forward, it was out of my league. The guys came by on time and where super courteous and handled themselves professional even if my landlord is a difficult person to deal with.

Thanks to all who helped us today for the service.

These guys are awesome plumbers! Mickey is most definitely THE Plumbinator. Very knowledgeable and honest company, all led by a true MASTER PLUMBER. Mickey is very kind and certainly a very intelligent plumber, which seems all too rare these days. These guys will fix botch jobs and they ensure to do the work the right way, not the lazy way. Two water heaters with proper safety measures installed and one nice new toilet in just a few hours!! Awesome work!!!

I had read good reviews on NextDoor.com, but when it came time for the work, they fell short.  First, I called one evening when our hot water heater was leaking, and never got a call back.  Second, I called not long after to get an estimate.  Two plumbers came out, one of them took my email to send an estimate.  A couple of days later, I spoke to the woman at the office and she asked for my email address to send the estimate.  I told her I gave it to the plumber, but he said she didn't have it.  I gave her the email address, but she sent it elsewhere.  Today is Monday and I called because it never arrived.  She asked me for my email address again.  I asked her, where did you send it?  And she read it back to me, incorrectly, and told me I was in a hurry when I gave it to her on the phone.  I never gave her the email address she read back to me; also, I did give it to the plumber.  When I told her that, she got defensive and said, well, plumbers lose things.  She followed up by saying again...if you  give me your email address, I can send you the estimate.  Very defensive and with even more attitude than when the conversation started.  I told her I think I'm going to hold off.  She disconnected the call.  I guess business is so good that you can afford to selectively reject customers when your employee is wrong and doesn't want to own up to her mistakes.  She was not even the least bit sorry for making mistakes and being rude.  We were already inconvenienced by a broken water heater.  I don't need more frustration in the form of unprofessionalism and bad attitude from someone who clearly sounds old enough to know better.  I'm going with a different plumber for this and future jobs.  I hope she compensates well for the income she has cost this company.  Don't worry I won't tell anyone.
***RESPONSE TO MANAGER:  Your comment is incorrect.  Once again, I gave our email address to two employees of yours.  They failed, their mistake.  And your comment about your free gas and your free time, means nothing; you offer the same to other folks, so it's nothing special that you did for us, and certainly nothing we're going to feel guilty for, but nice try.  All you needed to do was your job, and yet you couldn't do that.  I'm told it was your sons who were the techs that came out, and one of them had my email address.  I can see now why you're defending him.  I'm guessing Wendy the Rude who set up the appointment is a relative of yours as well.  I gave her our email address as well, after she said the plumber tech didn't have it.  She STILL sent it elsewhere.  She's almost as rude with her comments on NextDoor's website.  I guess this is what folks have to expect from your family business: right or wrong doesn't matter, just stick by your family and don't take ANY responsibility.  If you can't clean up your messes before the job, imagine the nightmare afterward.  No thank you; we went with a professional.

I have been meaning to write a review about them since I first had an experience with them over a year ago but yelping is never the first thing that comes to mind when I get to my computer so I always forget. I always love when something I have had a great experience with has just a stream of great reviews, its good to know that others feel the same way.

Here goes, they are by far the best plumbing services in town. Do not let the Round Rock address deter you, they go ALL OVER Austin, They are very fair, extremely well priced and show up when they say they.

I am in real estate and am constantly having to give out referrals because of inspections ect. I am so lucky that I finally came across them every time we have to refer them out our clients come back to us so thankful and excited because they feel they were treated fairly got the job done right and are able to move forward with a transaction. To me that speaks volumes because when we recommend someone we want to know that our clients will get taken care of and I have no doubt in my mind that they will with Mickey and his crew.

I am not exaggerating when I say that every time we refer them out of clients could not be happier and are so thankful to us.

They are also who I use for my personal plumbing. They stand by the work 100% and if something comes up they will be back out to make sure that the problem is put to rest. They are very respectful, efficient, and how business should be done.

I give them my highest recommendation and confidently give out their name and number anytime someone asks for plumbing services. These are your guys!

These guys have twice been an excellent experience for me.  While the first job a year ago was a simple water heater issue (super affordable), this time I had a sewer line back up on New Year's Eve, a MUCH more serious issue!  Around 2am, with guests at my house, a toilet overflowed and suddenly no water in my house would drain.  Definitely the worst timing for a worst case scenario (though the champagne made it funnier than it really was!)

Mickey came out on New Year's Day at about 10:30am, less than an hour after I called.  He snaked my cleanout and got it to drain a bit so it was less of an emergency.  After running a camera through my pipes he quickly located a break in the pipe in my yard, and scheduled a time with me to come dig it up and make the repair.  He didn't charge me extra for working on a holiday, and it was a Sunday.  That was unexpected and awesome.

I live in Round Rock, which means my house sits on crazy boulders and such.  It was an unusually difficult dig, but they threw a couple jackhammers and muscle into it and removed huge rocks which had finally shifted down low enough after so many years, crushing my sewer pipe.  I'm sure the longstanding drought and then some sudden rains recently played a role in that.

They made the repair, and then while testing the integrity by running all my sinks and flushing toilets, we all suddenly saw the pipe back up again, this time from on the city's side of the street!  The Plumbinators stuck around for another 2 hours or so while the City of Round Rock water department came out to make their own fixes, which was the original issue all along.

This was definitely a tough job, with several unexpected issues thrown at them along the way, and Mickey's crew sliced through every obstacle like pros.  And they're just plain nice guys, that's important, too!

Highly recommended for small and large jobs, I won't call anybody but The Plumbinator.

I thought I had a plumbing situation. I mean, water pouring out of a bathroom pipe pretty much equals a plumbing situation, right? So I thought.

Not ever really needing a plumber, I had no idea who to call. I had a referral from a friend, but the reviews here on Yelp for that referral were mixed, trending toward not-positive. I saw The Plumbinator on craigslist, and was intrigued. Combine that with the positive reviews here - and I was on the phone.

Mickey said he couldn't come out till Friday (this was Wednesday!!) but after I told him it was an active leak, quickly filling up buckets he told me he would see me in a few.

He was 100% accurate with that statement. In about 20 minutes Mickey and (I am assuming) son showed up to address my plumbing situation .... which they quickly told me was actually an AC situation... aye! noooo! An AC situation in July!?

So he talked to me about what he thought was going on, told me what would likely have to happen, checked up in the attic for good measure.... gave me some recommendations of who to call, both to address the AC leak, and to address the resulting water damage - made sure I was happy and told me to call him immediately if any of his recommendations couldn't help me out.

Then... he was on his way. No bill. Seriously. No bogus house call Service fee diagnostic charge or any of that. He told me he wasn't charging me anything! No matter that he basically dropped what sounded like his day off to come help me in an extremely timely manner, dx'd the issue and pointed me in the right direction....

If we ever do have a real plumbing situation I would not hesitate to call again.

I know how you feel. You're young(ish), a homeowner, and most importantly, a female. UGH. The mere THOUGHT of having to call a plumber just makes you sick to your stomach. The horror stories of getting ripped off, hourly rates, crappy work-it all just makes you not even want to deal with your clog/leak/insertplumbingheadache here. As one who has tried at least 3 different services, I can tell you to REST EASY, MY FRIEND! THE PLUMBINATOR is the REAL DEAL!! Just like finding the right hairdresser, the right plumber makes a difference. I am happy to say I have FINALLY found my guys!

I have a leak that has been grossly neglected which I finally decided to bite the bullet and have fixed.I called on Tuesday and the dispatcher was friendly, thorough, and informative. What do you mean FREE estimate?!? UNHEARD OF, but TRUE! They came out on Thursday (at my request, due to scheduling conflict, aka date night) and were even EARLY! Nice! In short, the price was WAAAYYY lower than I expected, Mickey and his sons were really thorough, patient, and professional. I asked a lot of questions, and not once did I feel intimated or taken advantage of since I am of the female persuasion. My boyfriend arrived when they were almost done, and Mickey went over everything again with him, just to make sure we both were happy and understood what was going on. The final seller? Work is GUARANTEED/WARRANTEED for a year! Woohoo!

Silly name? Sure. But it worked for me-I called, got EXCELLENT service, and can now recommend The Plumbinator the next time ANYONE asks for a reference.

This will be brief so you can get on to reading the rest of these reviews.

I had my doubts. with a name like Plumbinator plus with the reviewed lower cost I figured - this could be trouble. It wasn't at all. I had a large plumbing job and they did it all fast, friendly and way more affordably than the rest of the plumbers out there. I'll be calling on you guys again and again.

Almost forgot. After the plumbing was repaired the went back out at no charge to turn the gas back on that someone (it's a mystery) turned off.

Old fashioned service from nice, honest dudes.

We realized we had a leak after we burned through 30,000 gallons in a month with no obvious signs of a leak. Mickey was the third plumber we called out, the first two wanted to dig holes in the yard on an exploration mission. Mickey and Chad went to work right away isolating various portions of our plumbing system. In no time they found the location and had it replaced. They proactively changed a few of our valves and hosebibs to make sure we wouldn't run into issues in the future. They even cleaned up after themselves. I thought the price was more than fair and the honesty and work ethic along the way were appreciated.

Mickey is friendly, knowledgeable and honest. Our home had a leak in the slab and Mickey was able to locate it fast. He was able to isolate and bypass the leak without tearing up our foundation. The final cost was less than what my wife and I were expecting. Mickey is an all around good guy.

Once again, this business has come through for my family like a champ!   I have experienced a disastrous problem....the main sewer line from the house to the city line is broken in half!  The guys came out ASAP and found that problem, told me what it would cost to fix it, and said  that they could fix it right away.  The price they quoted me was less than everybody else in the area, by a lot!  As usual, everything was done quickly, correctly and with a great deal of professionalism.  I will never use anyone but the plumbinator for any plunbning needs I have.

We called this company today when we learned of a water leak around our shut off valve in the front yard.  City of Round Rock had come out and showed us the leak and then shut off the water to our home.  The tech from City of RR recommended this company.  I called them around 2:30 p.m. and within a half hour they were at our home and diagnosed the problem.  By about 5 p.m. the problem was fixed and the fee was very reasonable.  Great service and very nice technicians!  They were very knowledgeable of the situation and really took the time to explain to us as well what the issue was and then fixed it promptly.  Would highly recommend them.

Used this company for a replace shower cartridge and tub spout. Had a water leak so not able to get another quote. Way over priced; parts were quoted at $80 and total bill was $430. Job took 45mins so that's about $350 per hour!!  Stated that outside the parts and labor the cartridge job is $250 by itself???

Way overpriced! Also needed cash or check due to no CC capabilities for another week and a half; stated machine was down.

Will never use them again and don't think they care either.

So, I am new to the Round Rock area.  Just bought a house.  Less than a week into the house and I have sprung a leak in my front yard.  Not sure who to call, I do what every other reasonable person does - I turned to the internet to find a plumber.  I read all the reviews ... from well known names to unknown names.  But the thing that made me call The Plumbinator was that the reviews were very favorable ... and they are local.   So, I called.

I talked to Mickey and got an appointment for them to come out Saturday morning at 9:30am.  It was 9:46am by the time they arrived - Tim and Cord (?) - not Mickey.  These guys looked like they could be maybe 21 yrs old?  I thought oh great ... will they know how to help me.   Well, first off - they apologized for being late.  Whew, that was nice!  And then they set about finding the leak.  They did that pretty quickly - digging up some of the yard, showing me where on my water meter it would indicate a water leak (a little spinning triangle) and honestly, had to dig through some mud to get to the sprinkler system piping that was leaking.

The whole time Tim kept me updated on their progress.  At one point they needed to go get some parts but they came right back.  They showed me the leak, then showed the replaced piping and showed how they replaced the piping with even better, stronger piping.  Wow.  They went above expectations there.

But the part that I must say that I really appreciated was that Cord (again, not sure I am spelling his name right but he was a good guy) was on his hands and knees filling the muddy hole with the mud clods and grass to make it look as good as it could.   And honestly, when he was done, it looked pretty darn good.

My age probably reflects why I think these guys were far younger than I expected, but they were courteous, straight forward on what was happening, helped me understand the leak, fixed the leak in a solid fashion, and I truly felt like they did the very best job for me.

I will call them and use them again for any future plumbing issues.  I will also recommend them to friends.  Good company.  Fair price.  Expert work.

We had a major problem.  Our guest toilet drain was damaged due to settling clay soil and/or tree roots.  They ran a camera down the line to show me the damage, and told me the bad news.  The plan was to dig a tunnel under the slab to get to the break, fix it, and fill in the tunnel.  They did an amazing job.  It took about 10 days to do the entire job, but now that it's finished, I'm very happy with how detail-oriented they were.  It was very hard work to dig a tunnel 20-25 feet under the house, but they took turns digging, and even seemed to be in good spirits as they worked.  This is a family business.  Dad Mickey came by to check on the job before it started, and his sons and Steve are both knowledgeable and hard workers.  I'd never use anyone else.

We hired the Plumbinator for our bathroom remodel last year. Mickey came out to give us a quote. He was good at listening to us and communicating. The bid was in the ballpark of others so we went with it.

Two other guys showed up to do the work. I believe one was his son. To say the least they were not as good at communicating as Mickey and not very professional either.

Also, I researched the fixtures we wanted online and found what I wanted. Mickey told me I should get them at a certain plumbing supply store he does business with. However, even with Mickey's discount they were still 15% higher than what I found online. (I understand not wanting to use the cheap stuff they sell in the big box stores, but you can buy the quality stuff online too.)

Over a year later and I have not had any problems with the work other than a leak in a copper joint that I found after they left for the evening during the project.

Based on the experience we had with the guys doing the work I would not recommend this company.

I had a slab leak in a house I purchased in Round Rock.  I had to find the leak and get it stopped and repaired and had two plumbing companies out via the home warranty service.  Neither could pinpoint the leak.  When I called Mickey's office, they sent him out and he fixed the problem without jackhammering the floor.  He was, I believe, honest and reasonable.  Thanks for a great job!

This is by far the best plumber I have ever encountered and I have come across many in my profession (property manager).  We called Mickey out to give us a bid to finish up a job that a different plumber had started but wanted way, way too much $$$ to complete.  He was able to get the job done for much less than the other company and in less time that the other company had quoted as well.

He told us if he can't fix it, then he won't charge you anything.  I have never heard these words come out of any other plumber's mouth.  He is a real ethical and moral person when it comes to his business and I would absolutely recommend him to anyone who needs a good plumber.

If there were more stars to give I would. This company is superb from start to finish. Totally fair and every member of their team delivers great work. We had a problem with our water heater over the New Year holiday and they fit us in quickly and worked easily with the restoration company when we had a delay in the work schedule (not related to the plumbing work). Their quote was right on target. In a stressful time, The Plumbinator totally came through. And a special thanks to Sandra, who demonstrated extreme professionalism and showed over and above care with our concerns.

It's been about a year since the Plumbinators worked on our shower drain, but I intentionally waited to review, because I couldn't believe they actually fixed the problem.

Our shower drain used to clog up every couple of months. My husband would use a little hand snake to dig around until the drain started working again. This continued for years, until I finally thought this was not normal shower drain behavior, and perhaps a professional could diagnose and solve the problem. I was imagining an experienced plumber with a fancy camera or a robot or some other expensive tool that could finally get to the root of our problem, no matter the cost.

So I was a little surprised when two young guys showed up at my door. And even more surprised when they plugged in an electric snake and shoved it down the shower drain. Five minutes later, the drain was working, and they were done. I paid them about $120, which I felt was entirely too much money for these two youngsters to come and do the same thing my husband had been doing for months, albeit with a slightly larger snake. And I was 99% sure I'd be calling them out to fix the drain again in a matter of weeks.

But here we are, a year later, and the drain has stayed clear. I don't even know where our hand snake is anymore; we haven't needed to use it since the Plumbinators came out. I think it was money well-spent. Goodness knows how much more expensive it might have been if they had actually used all the high-tech gadgets I had imagined. Sometimes brute force and a professional-sized tool are all you need.

My only real complaint was that the Plumbinators showed up at my house several hours earlier than their scheduled appointment. Being a little bit early is great, but being that early can be an inconvenience on par with being really late.

Woke up to a flooded kitchen floor. Our regular plumber determined that it was a leak under the slab and gave us the Pluminator's phone number. Mickey found the leak with his listening device and capped it - then ran an alternate insulated line through the ceiling- all the while doing only minor damage to the house and restoring full service. We were very pleased with his service.

Had a leak that showed up.  Called and got scheduled for service.

I got a 30-minute time window of when they would show up.  They showed up about 5 or 10 minutes after the scheduled time - not a big deal, my house is kinda hard to find.

They got to work quickly, and nailed the problem.  I was informed of what the suggested solution was, why it was recommended the way it was, the length of time to completion and the dollar amount.  It involved breaking out the stone on my limestone house.

The price was very affordable, about 1/3 less of what any other company would have charged - and they fixed the stone when complete.  It looks fantastic.

The problem is fixed, and they even covered up the holes they made in the garage so I don't have to have a drywall contractor out soon.  They were super-friendly, and I never got the icky feeling I sometimes get when contractors are around the house.  And, they were even really nice to my young, curious, inquisitive kids - added plus.

I hope to never need a plumbers service again, but if I do, I will be calling them out again.

Seriously, call these guys. They were MORE than fair to us.

I've only owned a house for a little over two years and had no idea who to call when the water heater went out. Even my friends who owned houses had never had to call a plumber. So, of course I got on the internet...

Heather answered the phone and was a sweetheart! SO NICE! I was on the schedule for the next day but ended up having to make an emergency trip to the vet. The timing worked out, and Mickey even helped me get the kitty inside after we both pulled up to the house at the same time.

Understanding my situation, Mickey was willing to work with me and gave me honest answers to all of the questions I had. He worked his schedule around ours, and his boys came back the very next morning. They were on time and took care of our water heater in 2.5 hours. Don't be fooled by their age- they know what they're doing.

And to all of my homeowner friends who didn't know who to call- call the Plumbinator!

Not something you see or get everyday it seems like anymore. I would highly recommend.

I was referred to The Plumbinator by a friend.  They repaired the plumbing in the wall for my upstairs tub that had been glued.  Yes, glued together, not soldered as required with copper piping.  My contractor that installed the tub did not have a licensed plumber as he had indicated.  Yes, it was leaking in the wall.  Shame on me for not confirming there was actually a licensed plumber and standing there when they did the plumbing work.  I won't make that mistake again.  Corey fixed my problem and, the price, while not low, was not any higher than quotes from other plumbers in the area.  He did a great job and came back (a long time later due to my procrastination) after the tile was replaced in the opening, to reinstall the fixtures.  All is well.  I think you will be very pleased with their work, ethics, and customer service.  I certainly am.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME SCHEDULING w/ this unprofessional company. I had a 2pm appointment w/ the Plumbinator- a company I have supported for years and recommended to clients before, and after camping in my house w my son all morning,  I CALLED at 1:40 pm to get their ETA, and was told that due to an emergency in past days, they were not coming today. The lady even dared to tell me that she had offered a referral when I called last week. That is absolutely 100% false. Find someone else!

We had a leak develope in our outside faucet Thursday night.  We had the utilities company come out and turn the water off.  Friday morning we gave these guys a call at first they were not sure they could make it (no surprise since everyone else was booked till Monday.  After I explained what was going on she took another look and said they would be out between 10 and 10:30.  They were on time and the kid explained to me that it would be a flat fee of 500.00 unless they had to dig into the foundation.  The found the leak and they did have to go into the foundation just a bit so the final bill was 800.00.  Very pleased with their professionalism, timely arrival and clean up.  Will hire them next time I need a plumber for sure

This is a small father and son company with one other partner so they don't have a lot of overhead, just a lot of pride in a job well done and very reasonable rates.

I was trying to sell a house but the inspection was held up because the gas was shut off due to a leak. To make matters worse, a city inspection would be required to turn the gas back on so several code violations would also have to be fixed.  Less than an hour after I called the Plumbinator, they were at the property working on what turned out to be extensive repairs.

They worked most of the day finding and fixing one bubbling leak after another and replacing a ruined water heater that was hopelessly out of code.  Then they filled the gas lines with compressed air and left a gauge to check for leaks.  A few days later I was devastated to hear that there was yet another leak in a different part of the house.  Mickey stuck to his original price and spent several hours finding and fixing that last leak at no extra charge!

On top of that, they will be there when the city inspector shows up so that if he finds anything else they can fix it right then and there and I can get the gas on and sell this house.  I just can't recommend these guys highly enough!

Woke up to no hot water, the day after a holiday.  Figured it would be hard to find a plumber to come out, and it was.  Till we called the Plumbinator... then figured it would require a new hot water heater... how excited were we to hear it was just the ignitor.  Yay!  Came out very fast - called at 11:30 and they were here by 1:30.  Great service, nice guy.  Thanks!!

I have had services from Mickey and his staff twice now, once as a regular cold call to replace a leaking sink and the second time in panic mode due to a flooding water in my garage situation. Both times I have called upon Mickey I have been extremely pleased with the outcome because of the professional, yet personal way he addressed my situation. The cause of the problems and the options for fixing the problems with the pros and cons of the solutions were completely explained to me. I really appreciated Mickey's immediate response coming to my home right away when I discovered the water in my home and did not know what to do, as well as him helping me get set up with professional services that came quickly to help prevent further damage to my home. I know that every business has to make money, but it is nice to deal with a person who does not make that the only consideration when coming to my home. Mickey clearly places the importance of quality service, honesty and reasonable prices above getting the highest dollar amount possible on the invoice. I am glad I made that first call to The Plumbinator!

I'm so glad to discover Mickey and his team.  He came over and provided a quote before I had even received a call-back from several other plumbers I had called.  He gave me a very reasonable quote, along with some very helpful advice.  We were instaling a vanity and sink in a half-bath, replacing two toilets, and repairing a bathtub.  The work was done quickly and professionally.  He provided a couple of the items needed at his cost, and showed me copies of all receipts for materials purchased.  In particular, I had received quotes for the bathtub repair that were double and triple what Mickey quoted, because they assumed the worst-case scenario (having to cut into the wall and replace the entire assembly).  Mickey admitted that was a possibility, but wanted to try a much less expensive repair first.  It worked perfectly.  We will definitely be calling again for any future work.

In short, you want to hire Mickey and his crew. They are trustworthy, hardworking, good people who will solve your plumbing issues at a fair price. If you're looking up plumbers on Yelp, you may be feeling how I felt a few weeks ago. You might feel a bit helpless, at someone else's mercy to fix an urgent problem beyond your control. You might be concerned about being taken for a ride by unscrupulous scheisters taking advantage of your lack of plumbing knowledge. I felt the same way, searching Yelp for guidance and hoping to find someone to help. These guys did a great job for a fantastic price, they are who I will call from now on and I wholeheartedly recommend them to you. They did everything in their power to make me happy with their work, the communication was fantastic, and they saved me thousands of dollars on a large project lasting several days, holding true to their original quote even as the project grew decidedly more complex than originally planned (to put it mildly).
A local, family run business that makes you feel confident about knowing a great plumber. Hire these guys, you won't regret it!

While attempting to change a mixer in the shower, I broke a line in the wall.
Equation:  Female+investment property+in-wall+behind fiberglass shower enclosure+water off at main+do-it-yourself screw-up = Tremendous Price Gouging Opportunity.

Morrison Plumbing Supply referred me to The Plumbinator.    A name like that only added to my skepticism but I held my breath and called.

I echo every concern Kathy C. expressed.   Furthermore, I support every word of praise.   Not only did Mickey skillfully repair my mistake, he did so without ridiculing my do-it-yourself efforts (which most tradesmen have done).  As far as the quality of his work and the price charged, I can honestly say that Mickey's' integrity and skill are beyond reproach.
I recommend Mickey as often as I can without reservation.
Now if I could just find an accountant with the ethics of my master plumber...

Plain and simple Mickey and Tim (Mickey's son) did an awesome job. They were prompt courteous and made sure the job was done properly.

Mickey and his crew are top notch. We bought a house with possible roots around some backyard plumbing. Once their crew ran their cameras, they actually found a sewage leak. In true Mickey fashion, he told me that he wanted to get this job done the right way, the first time so he brought in additional equipment to better see the whole line. Turns out there was a second break in the sewage line that was close to the city line. Rather than charging us to fix the second line break, he very honestly advised us to contact the city (which they ended up agreeing to pay for). I highly recommend these guys!

The Plumbinator fixed what Mustang plumbing couldn't.

Home Warranty of America sent out Mustang plumbing and they couldn't clear the clog.

I called the Plumbinator and within 2 hours of being on site of my home the clog was clear and they also ensured the second clean out line was clean and clear as well.

Price charged for the services was fair and reasonable. The 2 plumbers sent out by the Plumbinator were very friendly and provided great tips for products to use in having a older home with cast iron pipes.

They wanted to charge me $400 to repair a PVC connection that got damaged. I had already dug the hole and identified the leak. The parts were $35. Cannot believe they could quote me $400 for a job that should only take 30 minutes to do (max 1 hour). Obviously these guys went to the Harvard school of plumbing and are trying to repay their student loans from one job.

Mickey will tell you he'll take good care of you, and he does.  We bought a house and needed to build a new laundry room.  The existing plumbing was a mess, and Mickey reworked the pipes, including digging out the foundation so he could put the pipes under the floor.  He also moved our hot water heater into a new closet and installed a propane line for our new gas dryer.

Just this week we discovered that the pipe carrying sewage to our septic field had come apart.  Mickey came out in the dark and fixed it promptly--at no cost!  In the spring we'll be redoing our kitchen and two bathrooms, and we're glad we'll have Mickey doing the plumbing for us.

Bad cold snap in Austin, and pipe started pouring out water in the middle of the night. Thought I was in for a big time plumbing bill. Found Mickey after being scared off by a big plumbing company.

Mickey came right over, gave me a real fair estimate, and I told him to get started. As he got into the work, turns out there was no real leak. The valve in the external spigot just blew open because of the freeze.

Asked Mickey what I owed him, and he said nothing!!! Really?? NOTHING!! This is a real review of an experience I just had with The Plumbinator service and Mickey. Unbelievable that you can still find honest, personable, just old-fashioned type of service. If you are in need of plumbing service, do yourself a favor and give Mickey a call.

I am so thankful that now I won't ever have to worry about finding an honest plumbing service.

I was quite pleased with the Plumbinator.  I live out of state and have a rental home in Round Rock.  My tenants were concerned with a water spot on their ceiling....I was concerned with a possible leaky pipe somewhere between the 1st and 2nd floors.  The guys at Plumbinator called me and said there is no leak, it's only a faulty shower door!! They even offered to refer me to someone that can replace the door for me.  I am happy that I found an honest company.  I will call them for any future issues I have.

Super nice guys! Just received a follow up call asking if I was satisfied with work done last week and though I'd leave a review too. Had water coming up from my foundation in garage, and was thinking the worst. They were booked solid and couldn't come out that day, and gave me another referral. No answer there so called yet another company and after telling them the problem, they referred The Plumbinator after they heard water coming up from foundation. So called Plumbinator back and got on schedule the day after. They were able to find the problem pretty fast and get to work on it. Explained everything they were doing and showed me the crack in pipe where water was leaking. Took a few hours to fix but once they finished up they patched up wall, laid out new cement on garage floor, and cleaned up all the mess. Will use them for any issues in the future!

Called Plumbinator since my usual plumber was busy that week. I was trying to get some new bathroom faucets installed. Tim & Nigel came out to check the work to be done and explained that I needed new valves/flex lines with the faucets so they wouldn't leak (as I found out when I tried to install the first one).  I had a couple of other plumbers come out for estimates and they all said the same thing.  The pluminbators came in with a much lower estimate for the work to be done and were very friendly.  Highly recommend them!

Mickey and James did a great job for us. They were there right on time to give me an estimate and actually arrived early to start the job! Mickey gave us an estimate for the work plus went over any possible problems that might arise and what they would cost. I appreciate knowing up front what the range could be for the cost of a job. The job went smoothly, so no need for the additional stuff. The price Mickey quoted me was less than half of what a second company quoted me, and when I told the other company what the bid from Mickey was, he tried like crazy to get close, but couldn't. I really appreciate Mickey's approach to pricing and I really appreciate the careful way he and James treated my house. I will call them every time I need a plumber! You should, too!

Pros: best pricing, rapid response, know what they're doing

FIRST RATE service. The Plumbinator was referred to me by my neighbor who is a builder. Mickey came out to repair the work that another plumber charged $4500 for. The Plumbinator charged $400 to fix the leak that the original plumber could not repair. GREAT GUY, GREAT SERVICE, DID MORE THAN HE WAS ASKED TO DO. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED 10 PLUS (out of 5). Great prices and great work. I needed some plumbing work done and didn't know who to hire so I Googled plumbing reviews. Plumbinator  came up with lots of 5 star reviews so I took a chance and was glad that I did.
Mickey came out and gave me an estimate and explained what the cost might be. My toilet wobbled and without pulling it up he said it was a broken flange. He explained that if the pipe was lead the cost would be $$$, if the pipe was cast iron the price would be $$$.
I'm very happy with the work he did and would definitely use him again.

We had a serious problem. The downstairs toilet clogged up, and no amount of plunging would help. To our dismay, we discovered that anytime we ran water into any sink, that same toilet would overflow. Anything down any drain came back up through the downstairs toilet.
So I got online to search for a local plumber. After reading the rave reviews here, I called the Plumbinator. I'm so glad I did.
They were running late, stuck in traffic, at the time they were supposed to be at my house, but I got a call at exactly the scheduled time informing me and apologizing for the situation. I was very impressed.
When they arrived, I was told we had a main line clog, and they would try to clear it. If it didn't work, I didn't pay. As they worked on it, they discovered not a clog, but a break. The shrubs along the house had broken the main sewer line. So these gentlemen called Mickey, the father and owner. When he learned the seriousness of the problem, he promised to fix it himself, and immediately drove from his last job to my house. On the way, he also got stuck in traffic. (By now, it was rush hour...) But he called me to let me know, which I really appreciated.
By the time he arrived, I had had to go to work, so he dealt with my mom. (She lives with my family.) The repairs ended up being extensive, yet my bill was still magically under the original estimate.
And after Mickey and his boys had finished, he came to see me at my job (a store I manage.) He wanted to meet me, to tell me how the work went. I was touched he went out of his way to connect with me, to explain the events I'd missed.
The work was done quickly, efficiently, and under the expected cost. All of the Plumbinator's plumbers I met were polite, well-spoken, knowledgeable, and endearing. I plan to hire them again for a few projects I have in mind. I've never met a more professional and friendly group of handymen. I cannot recommend them enough.

Mickey and his team are a great group of people! I think of him every time i take a hot shower....that sounds funny coming from a man doesn't it!  I had what seemed to be the sum of an attack on my house all in 1 week. I had my water heater go out  and a few days later a leak was noticed in our master bathroom that was staining the ceiling of the room beneath it., Yikes! I had already began the process of making a claim with my insurance company and was really a bit scared of the thought of what might be behind the mold stained drywall. Mickey came out inspected the water heater and gave me a quote and took a look at the ceiling stain and went over what the problem might be. He was genuinely concerned about trying to save me $ and suggested ways to reduce my bill such as taking out the drywall myself and exposing the problem area. He came out to replace my water heater  just as i had finished removing the drywall in the formal dining room. After making quick work of the water heater he inspected the pipes in the ceiling and found a small leak mid-line in 1 of the incoming water lines. In a mater of 5 minutes my biggest fears were put to rest and the problem that had been causing me many sleepless nights was resolved! SWEET!!! I wasn't even charged for the water line repair and ended up dropping the claim with my insurance company. Mickey is a true God send and treated me like a friend, I am happy to refer him to anyone in need and wish he and his family continued success.

We called the Plumbinator to fix a slow flushing toilet.  They came out and snaked it, didn't find anything and $125 later were on their way.  A week later the toilet was used for the fisrt time when guests arrived, much to my embarrassment, the toilet had the same problem.  Plumbinator was called back out to fix the original problem again and this time they found the item that caused the problem.  Then he preceded to give me another bill for $100 again.  He argued with me for 10 minutes and wouldn't uphold a reasonable warranty for his last visit that was never truly resolved.  I felt ripped off and will never use them again and wanted to provide a warning to others.

I called this business out for a bid based on the glowing reports but did not have a good experience with them.  It has been over 2 years but the reason I never wrote the review before was because the guy got mad at me and stormed out....and I was a little afraid to post a bad review because he is a big guy.   Basically he said I was going to have to replace an old pipe and I said something like Why, I have had this same thing done at two other properties and never had that issue? and he left. Angrily.   I am always leery of being overcharged at auto repair places and anywhere females are considered ignorant.   I sincerely believe that is what was going to happen here.  But maybe it was a new hire that is no longer with them--hopefully so.

Mickey and Tim helped us out with a leak today that would have taken us hours to fix (and in doing so would have caused us plenty of frustration, too). They were a pleasure to do business with, and had the job done in twenty minutes! They also have a really nice receptionist. Thanks, guys!

Mickey, Tim and Randy are extremely professional and knowledgable. They assess a situation, propose a no-nonsense solution and address the issues swiftly. Their costs are EXTREMELY reasonable and you will likely be quite satisfied with the end results. I called on the Plumbinator(s) on a couple of occasions for non-routine plumbing scenarios and would not hesitate to utilize their services in the future. Nor would I hesitate to recommend the company to friends. These guys really do know their stuff... Thanks again for your hard work and service, Mickey, et al!

I had read the other reviews and thought that The Plumbinator would be a good choice but it wasn't.  We had a bad experience with not finishing the job properly, charging us too much, the sink fixtures that were put in were not as good and certainly not worth what he charged for it. The technician was very dim witted and really made my wife uncomfortable the whole time he was there.  He didn't have basic plumbing repair parts that any good technician would keep on hand and they were just plain dishonest.  I would not use them again.

I had all but lost my faith in local businesses due to some really unprofessional people. When my shower faucet would not turn off, causing my water bill to soar, I was tempted to call a big named company. I decided to let these guys come and at least give me an estimate. From the first moment (they came ON time..big plus) Mickey and James arrived, I felt totally at ease. They were respectful and courteous, which is often lacking these days. They immediately identified the problem and let me know what we needed to do. They gave my fiancee and I time to talk it over, and we felt very comfortable giving them our business. They had it fixed in a jiffy and looking better than before, replacing our old fixtures as well. We had the misfortune of having our AC flood the same day they had come in, and Mickey was nice enough to help us and even point us in the direction of another local business to take care of the damage. I can't say enough about these guys, they were truly a blessing during this new homeowner's ordeal!

I called in and the call was returned in less than 2 hours. Also managed to get someone out to my house the Wednesday the week of Thanksgiving. Great friendly people. I would definitely use again and recommend.

They just left.  Took care of the problem quickly.  Fair price.  Local, which I like and their respect for their father was refreshing.  Heck, when they left it was refreshing all the way around LOL! Would definitely recommend them to anyone and would use them again if I need to.  Support your local companies!
