Best Businesses in Portland, OR
I needed a full home repipe, and got the best quote from these folks. I divided the project into two parts (the house first, the main line later), and each part was accomplished in two days: One for installation, and one for inspection and final clean up. They were professional, fast, and friendly. As a woman and massive weirdo I tend to brace for judgment about my housekeeping capabilities (or lack thereof) and inquiries about how they might pink it up for me until someone with more testosterone is on scene; this anxiety was totally unnecessary. We talked painted symbols and rocks for a few minutes, then they were down to business, and it was all so easy. As a bonus, they unearthed a few (rare) white agates digging a hole for the main water line, so I scored new minerals for my collection that I can clean with assistance from greater water pressure. I'll happily refer others to PEX PDX.

Black Cat rescued us when our pipe burst yesterday. Unlike other plumbers, who offered no advice and long waits, Black Cat talked me off the ledge. When Matt arrived, he was quick, friendly, and knowledgeable, explaining exactly what happened and what he would do. The price was totally reasonable as well. Also, he documented for us what had happened so we could include it in the insurance claim. I'll be calling them again for sure.

Taylor was our hero when we had an after hours plumbing emergency. I had called multiple other places and they weren't available and I was referred to Taylor at Drain Hound.
THANK GOODNESS nobody else worked out because we had the best experience with Taylor and now we won't use anyone else in the future. He was quick to answer the phone, friendly and professional and made it on site within 30 minutes. He worked diligently to assess our problem and then fixed it promptly. We can't say enough positive things for how we felt he handled our fiasco tonight. So Taylor, thank you! And for everyone reading this if you're looking for a plumber do yourself a favor and call Taylor!

Brandon is the only plumber I will use from now on. He is knowledgeable, explains what's needed in detail, responds quickly and super friendly. his dog Chi Chi is too cute and very well behaved.

Maybe my memory was off regarding the discussion of the line not being replaced up to the city, but overall things are flushing and Tim was quick. I can't hold grudges

Look no further for a plumber when you need one! Tim is the real deal, a local professional who will provide honest work, very competent service, a fair price and a great attitude. Tim came out to our new home, an older house in Vancouver, and got several jobs done in a very efficient manner, after his initial visit to give us a free estimate, and also threw in some valuable advice about how to take care of our old pipes and our new septic system. Tim is personable, very smart and seasoned in his field. We feel fortunate to have stumbled upon this company. When we need more work done, we will surely call Rowe Plumbing and Drain for assistance.

Our plumbing was original to the 1963 built house. The newer washing machine would drain too quickly for the old smaller diameter galvanized pipes and we would need to have them snaked every 2 to 3 years. We finally wanted them upgraded to today's code. They went into our tight crawl space on Thursday and showed by pictures how bad the pipes were, leaks, standing water, etc. I'm so happy they cared to be thorough enough on the original call to inspect the crawl space. Their professionalism and thorough outlook earned them the job, which they started on Monday the following week. It is done right, fully permitted and inspected. We are very happy.

I ALMOST GOT BURNED! The only good thing about Pipeline Plumbing (Lake Oswego) is that Darla (office assistant) was helpful in responding. She promptly dispatched an apprentice plumber (Grant) to fix our toilet, but his visit ($125 assessment fee) was truly a waste of money - talk about flushing money down the drain! He quoted $570 to fix the toilet's shutoff valve and fill valve and said that nothing is wrong with the flush handle (it was obviously loose). My wife quickly called George Morlan Pumbling Supply in Tigard to get an unbiased third party opinion about pricing. GMPS assured her that with such amount we could have paid for labor to install an entirely new toilet, and the material costs only about $25. Not wanting to lose my $125, I tried to negotiate the price, but was flatly refused. Thus I paid the $125 fee, cause I don't like to be blackmailed, by anyone, let alone a plumber.
Then I called another plumber (Greg from Premier Plumbing). Without much drama, he arrived within an hour, replaced the fill valve, fixed the flush handle, and inspected the shutoff valve (which worked just fine) for a much more reasonable price of $200. Judge for yourself.

Bruner Plumbing has done three jobs for me in the last 6 years, one a bathroom and all have been on bid, professional and done by courteous staff. I am writing now because I noticed the one bad review and wanted to refute it. The person who wrote, Deb I see has numerous other reviews, all of which are 1 star and vicious in attacking whatever business is involved.

Excellent service... prompt, friendly and fair. I called them out to replace a corroded shut off valve so my new dishwasher could be installed.
While here, Derek noticed how the hot water in the kitchen was just a trickle. He fixed that, too. I had gotten used to it being that way, but now that it's fixed, it's so much better!
I'm very happy with Garden Home Plumbing. Thank you Derek and Lani!

After calling many plumbers to get a same day or next day appointment for a leaking toilet, Jeff at Frontier Plumbing was the only one who could do next day. Jeff is friendly and very professional. He's also very quick which I am very appreciative. After finding out that I had a failed O-ring in my tank hardware, I had him change out the hardware on my other two toilets as well. I have no concerns about calling Jeff again for any of my plumbing needs!

I needed a backflow installed at my home, and didn't really know where to start. I have very old plumbing and I was very wary about people being in and out of my home in a pandemic.
American Backflow sent out Owen, and I'll admit, even though I had a lower quote from another company, he and the owner of the company, Tony, sold me on going with them.
I've never had a more polite service person in my life. Owen showed up on time, masked when I asked, and bent over backwards to be helpful in explaining the job. Tony got on the phone with me to explain my options. (Ok, their scheduler is a bit cranky, but seriously, hold out because the service people are amazing).
The job was scheduled really fast- a week!
On the day of installation, they called ahead of time, showed up and were incredibly respectful to my home and to me. They took their time doing the install, asking me whenever there were options to be discussed, making sure I understood the system, and repeatedly reminding me to call if I needed help or explanation after install.
Honestly, its the best service call I've had through the pandemic, possibly before that, too. I was very happy to pay their rate, which was very competitive (I'd have only saved $150 going with someone else, but it was clear they cared less).
Having talked to a TON of plumbers and other services, I was very happy with my choice.

Zack from Anytime was fantastic. They had him out quickly after my call and this was right at Christmas time. Zack was professional, polite, kept everything tidy as he worked and left the area cleaner than he found it. Very professional but personable guy - chatted with me, was cool to the kids and even my german Shepherd. ;). Thanks Zack and Anytime. I hope not to need your services again but will definitely call if I do.

I gave them a call at lunch on Friday. Talked to a receptionist who promised they'd call me back to setup an appointment, but they never called me back.

Fast call back and after I send the picture of the problem leaking hose , Doug explained to me how I can save money by possibly doing it myself , which I did after some solutions that he offered. Yes , it was a 5 minutes job after I got the part but he could easily just come and do it and charge me. This is great service and of course he will be my first choice for more difficult jobs and I will refer their service to others.
Thanks again!

Had these guys come out for a leaking hot water heater. Guy said tank was leaking. Had to put in a new one. Tank in use for only 6 years. He pulled it and put in a new one. Charged me, and took off before I could ask to see where the old one was leaking. Guess what! The new tank leaks just like the old one did. Called them back. There would be a service charge. I told lady that when looking at the new leak, I was close enough to notice a gas smell from the weld spot. Ok. She would send someone out. Guy squirted soapy water. Yes, there was a leak (nice job, installer). He also said the water heater needed an expansion tank to the tune of $350 plus, but luckily that includes installation. Yippee...I am wondering if this wasnt the problem with the 6 year old tank. Who knows? I never got to see it before it was hauled off!
Also, only 30 day warranty on labor. Is this the industry standard?

We hired Platimum Plumbing. Our experience with them was not showing up not returning calls or texts. We never knew from day to day if they would show up. Even though the job they did was acceptable there was daily stress if Ryan would show up for scheduled appointments or just leave us waiting as he didn't call he just never showed. We had to hire another Plumber to finish the job.
