Best Plumbing Services in Buffalo, NY
We have used this company twice for residential. Once to install a dishwasher and another time to install a backflow device to prevent flooding in our basement. Our dishwasher was installed wrong which resulted in an error code continually appearing. The problem was finally corrected after two more visits, but the owner tried to charge us more money for the install - what? - it didn't work properly? The basement job was very messy and required breaking up concrete and then pouring more. I don't know if the device works properly - we'll see, but our basement was left in a total disaster. I would have expected them to shop vac and clean up a little better.

We called at 7pm and got a call back an hour later. Our sink and dishwasher were all backed up. Oscar came and fixed everything and even took a look at some of our other pipes. He was clearly very good at his job and the price was reasonable.

Had an issue with my sewer, and they repaired it. The issue came back after only four weeks, and had to call someone else. When I addressed this with the manager, they refunded the cost of their original work.
They care about their customers.

Christmas day disaster. My sewer was plugged and shower was leaking. Lucky Joe Muro Plumbing came after the holiday and took care of it. They were neat (no mess in my house), reliable, reasonably priced and fixed the problem quickly. Exceptional service and at the right price. Felt like I could trust them to do the job right! And lucky for me sewer and shower back in service!

had a new AC put in, wanted more my house to cool off, requested a 2.5 ton unit, they refused. said they could change it to 2.5 tons if the 2 tons won't cool. they put a 2 ton in, it did not cool, when it was hot outside the temperature got hotter as the heat went up outside, usually it went up to 80 degrees, They NEVER fixed it As the promised. The unit had a 5 year warranty, it died at 5 yrs 6 months. Had a reputable company install a new 2.5 ton, (they also said you don't need that big of a unit) but granted me the wish to have a 2.5 ton, I have not regretted it yet, it's been in for a year and finally my house stays at the temperature, I set it out. The old unit had to be removed, my new installers informed me that nothing matched And asked who put this unit in? I had received a pieced together AC. The condenser was smaller than It should have been and did not match the rest of the unit.
I love my new AC, since I have the new AC my house actually cools down and does not get hotter as the temps go up outside.
I have even heard bad thing about them from other people. If you don't wanna waste your money, I would say stay away from this company.

I've lived for 20 years in my current residence on Grand Island and up until 6 years ago never had a plumbing problem. When I did, I had a Niagara Falls plumbing firm send in a plumber to fix leak problems. A time came when the leak again started. Since plumbers are way over priced and I had a problem with that first one, I thought I'd try Erie Plumbing here on Grand Island. (They also go by Buffalo Backflow.) It wasn't long after they left that the problem recurred and I also needed a new faucet. So I brought Erie back in. After he left I took a good look at the work and found he had installed this goofy handle without my permission. He later told me he never would have done this without asking me - a lie. And he also played dumb concerning not knowing about the traditional handle I thought should have been put in. Not too long after, there was again leaking and Erie came in. He was there about an hour to simply replace a basket but a fair amount of this time he was on the phone. He charged me $141, an outrageous fee. Obviously, and at the very least, there should have at least been a discount since it took him so many visits to get it fixed. All this time he was charging me the full fee even though its obvious his repairs should have lasted much longer than they did instead of his repeated visits, especially since I went 15 years without a problem. The basket he installed was of inferior quality compared to the one that was originally installed. I had never ever asked about a warranty but it then occurred to me to call him and ask about this. He still has yet to return the call. I then called two other plumbers and found their rates to be about 20% less than Erie Plumbing.

We have an older house, and a plumber we had in for a drip told us it would take a total reworking of the plumbing, along with the destruction of the subway tiles we like so much. We let it go. Things eventually got worse, and we had Hertel Hardware and Plumbing out on the recommendation of a friend. A personable young man showed up at the beginning of the appointed time (and called ahead, first!), took his shoes off at the door, took some things apart, put them back together, BOOM! fixed. Took about an hour, and no destruction of anything. How grateful we are to find an honest business!

Very unprofessional - one of these guys was working at a house two houses down from mine and my son's (12 & 13 y/o) were walking on the public sidewalk Infront of the house he was working on. They were with their 2 friends. The boys saw me backing out of my driveway, so they stopped Infront of that house to wait. This man didn't realize I was there and that the children were mine, so he yelled, if youre gonna play grab ass, stay away from the lawn! The kids giggled a bit and walked away from his house. Then the man yells, don't be f*cking smart ass! I got out of my car and asked that he doesn't yell and swear at my children and their friends and he said very angrily that he didn't bother asking nice because most kids don't listen. And he ended up yelling at me instead of just apologizing. Not someone I would ever trust in my home to do work, that's for sure. My kids were reminded to always be respectful as well and I saw the whole thing - the didn't even go on his lawn and there was no reason for him to yell at them.

Nelson did a fantastic job replacing my broken water line. He came over right away when I called and explained all the steps involved in replacing the line. I was worried it would cost a fortune but Nelson's price was very reasonable considering the enormous amount of work involved: digging up the yard, running a new pipe from my basement to the street and installing a new water box... all of which he did in below-freezing weather. Nelson was honest, hardworking and I really appreciated his can do attitude. I highly recommend Nelson's plumbing!

Bait & Switch - Run.
I hired them to run new plumbing, and added on easy things (swapping out fixtures, re-route sump pump line) while they were there. It was supposed to be completed in 10 days.
After 6 weeks of excuses and partial progress, they refused to do most of the pipe installations I'd hired them for, only did the easy work and inflated all the prices.
Their gas work leaked. National Fuel refused to hook up the gas meter to the meter connection I had them move outside from the basement because it was so leaky. CEF came back, fixed it and the gas piping still leaked outside. The same National Fuel rep came back, after it was fixed and he took pity and fixed it for me because it still leaked.
Later I had a separate firm work on my furnace. They asked what hack installed the hot water tank next to it because they used the wrong type of pipe - it was CEF who installed it.
I declined them swapping 4 fixtures for $400 total - and asked them to do one. They did one, left a poorly cut, hole and dust everywhere, and charged $600.
For good measure they ripped a downspout off my house and didn't put it back on, or mention it.
Unreliable after they get your deposit. Many problems were identified by other plumbers years later.

Installed new toilet at my ma's house, after a 6 week wait. The toilet started leaking after a few days. Called Doug, he said it was just sweating. The leak at the base of the toilet, got so bad after a few weeks, we called him back, he finally came over and said nothing was wrong (??really) we continued to mop up water everyday, and look for a new plumber. FINALLY we found out from another source, the seal was probably too small. SO, my husband, brother, and I, took the toilet out put in a bigger seal and re-installed the toilet. Problem solved, after weeks of water ruining the floor! Never will I recommend them.
