Best Plumbing Services in Buffalo, NY
Our Hot Water Tank started leaking from the bottom and I just did a search for replacement in my area and found Longs Plumbing. I send a message, received a response immediately with a quote and Ali was able to install a new Tank the same day. He brought everything he needed to get the job done. My only issue was only payment accepted is cash or check. Ali is a wonderful young man, we will definitely contact him again.

Called the number on the Yelp listing and the owner picked up.
I talked with the owner on the phone to troubleshoot and get advice about a plumbing/sewer line issue.
Despite having no previous contact, he spent some time and gave me some great advice. I wouldn't hesitate doing business with this company, a little customer service goes a long way.

This business has been a Batavia institution for years. They are reasonable, prompt, and know what they are doing.

My mother used this business on the recommendation of another plumber to replace a faucet. She tried to get a quote from them repeatedly but they wouldn't provide it. She finally had no choice but to have them repair her faucet. Two plumbers came to change the faucet, charging her labor for 2 installers to replace it (no pipes, no shut-off valves, nothing more) and one of the installers did nothing but sit outside. They overcharged her for the labor and for the faucet itself. when she tried to get an itemized bill of the very expensive total ($680), the plumber kept calling her Karen on the phone when she repeatedly told him that was not her name. His reply was always - ok Karen. They were so unprofessional, treating a retired person who lives alone horribly and taking advantage of her in a way that I have not seen a business do before. They completely disrespected her and took advantage of her. I would never use this company and would never recommend them to anyone.

I called Ryan Plumbing to replace the garbage disposal. They quoted me a price that included a $50 service fee as well as an hourly rate. They successfully installed the disposal. However when the serviceman stated the fee, he included a $40 Mileage / Travel charge. This was a charge on how long it took the serviceman to drive either from or to his last job. This was never communicated to me. This is a ridiculous additional charge, how do I know if they stopped somewhere, took a long route, etc.. I will never use them again. Hidden charges should be illegal. I called them three times after and each time I was referred to a manager that would call back. To this date this has not happened. And to add, we never received a receipt.

Needed emergency service to assess water leaking issue in bathroom. Jarrett was friendly, knowledgeable and replaced a burst toilet water line quickly. Would definitely use the company again for other plumbing needs.

Called because my shower drain would not drain and nothing I did helped. They were very friendly on the phone and gave me a 2 hour window for him to show up. He called saying he was on his way and was there right at the beginning of the window time.
Freddie was super nice and explained all the work he did, in total it took him 15-20 minute to clear the drain and having it running like new!
It was a bit pricy but he was professional and courteous, making sure everything was cleaned and back in place before he left. Next time I may ask for an estimate of the total cost on the phone just so I know, but would recommend them!

We just bought a new home and figured it would be a good idea to have the sewer line cleaned out. They were extremely flexible with their times and were able to come in the evening when we are both home from work. The service man was very friendly and even gave us a discount from an online offer. (I also loved that he put scrubs over his shoes when walking through our house - how nice!)
The price was decent compared to other companies. We will be using them in the future for preventive measures. Highly recommend them.

Bad plumbers, poor work and an owner who does not take responsibilities for their screw ups! AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!

I'm actually very pissed. I have used this establishment in the past for hard to find cold air return/heating registers in oddball sizes. I have a ranch home that was built in 1963. It has been expanded upon however I never felt the need the change some of the original hardware concerning our heating/cooling registers. Replacement was relatively easy since I had purchased correct sizes from this place in the past.
My husband was hell bent on changing a cold air return in our hall. It's a truly weird size. It is like 29 x 6 3/4. I'm just quoting numbers since I don't feel like running out to measure the one register being replaced. I have done this before. When Seneca Plumbing was actually on Seneca Street. Since they've moved to their new location that have added a website and an email option -they don't respond so don't even bother.
We, collectively, are not DIY'ers. I had emailed Seneca asking if they could order the exact size and never had a response. Hubby called and was told that this item could be 'SPECIAL ordered and we would receive a call when it arrived.
Can you believe that I received a call the very next day saying that my SPECIAL order was available for pick up??!!
Snow was flying as I heading out to pick up the return of my dreams. Hubby waiting anxiously for that moment when the new one was screwed in placed. We held our breaths, I shagged the cats away from an opening that would require a heating/cooling specialist should any of them enter the suction tunnel. And then, gasp, the freaking thing did not fit!!!! TOO WIDE! Hubby attempted to get a saw and I saw $$$$$$ floating out of my wallet after I had a carpenter in to repair what hubby attempted. Bottom line, it's kinda jimmied in. Like everything else. Then I looked at the receipt. Seneca SOLD ME A STOCK ITEM. 30 x 6. At double the cost of home depot.
It you can't do what you say, then don't. Don't feed me lies. This place will never see my business again. If you do do business here, double check everything that they sell you.

Jim replaced our basement lights and ceiling tiles. He works well and quickly and pays attention to details. I would not hesitate to hire him again.

One star only because that is the lowest available rating. This guy goes under several names. I foolishly paid for the whole job up front ($5200) - being verbally assured that the price would not go up. Within 3 days he was up to $9000, claiming additional work was needed. He proceeded to refuse to finish the original work unless I paid the additional money up front. I was left with only part of the work done and rest started and unfinished. (substandard parts for the job, disconnected wash basins, trenches not back filled and a sump drainage system that still had not been touched)
I took him to small claims court. There were 6 other cases that night. One those were against him too. He did not show up. Have not gotten answer from court yet.
Even if it is in my favor I understand I will be spending my retirement trying to get the money. AND will spend my retirement being sure I get the money.

The hourly rate for this company is $107 per hour. They will charge you for their travel time from the time they leave their building, to get to you in addition to the hours they are there. If they forget something or don't have it, they will go to the store and buy it, and bring it back. You also pay for that travel time, and however long they are at the store. In addition, there is a truck fee that is $55 on top of everything else. Just to inspect a furnace and put in a new filter took him 2 hours. The total $325.
On top of it all, he forgot to turn the AC back on when he left, so we had to open it up to figure that out after we went without AC for a day.
