We had a hot water heater leak. I had called three other plumbers before trying Your 1 Plumber. The first one I called only works Monday - Friday. The next did not have a technician available until the next day even though they promise same day service and when I called the third company, The phone was answered automatically by a recording asking me to hold. I hung up after 5 minutes of being on hold listening to a recording of the great customer service they provide!
I found Your 1 Plumber online and it only had one review. But it was a positive review and I was desperate, so I called. The phone was answered by a human. Wilmer arrived to our door 20 minutes later. This was on a Saturday late afternoon. He was polite and professional. He explained what we needed and gave us options. He cleaned up the work area after he finished. We will call this company again.

Tim provided quick same-day service on a Sunday! His price was competitive and fair. He showed up early, was professional and down-to-earth. I had twin bathroom sinks that were not draining. He snaked down to the main and replaced the p-track and another pipe. He takes Venmo and check (and credit card with a fee). If you want to see more reviews he is highly rated on Thumbtack. I would highly recommend Tim!

Josh came out to our house, after out basement was flooded with a burst pipe. He quickly identified the area where the pipe burst and affected a timely and effecient repair. We had the water back on quickly and his work was excellent. He also cleaned up after he was done and did a really fine job. We will use his services again. It was a really good experience during a very trying time.

My kitchen pipes were unfortunate victims of the recent polar vortex, and decided at an inopportune moment to burst, sending water through to my basement floor. (Not that any moment is opportune, but you know.) I called a family member in desperation, sobbing out my heartbreak, when she recommended that I call Bay Plumbing and Heating - she's used them for a number of years and has always spoken highly of them. I was willing to try anything at this point, since I couldn't take a shower or wash dishes or flush my toilet, etc.
You get the idea.
So I contacted Bay Plumbing and, to my delight, a pleasant gentleman named Bob returned my call within the hour. After describing the problem to him, he agreed to come over and have a look. Not even an hour later, he was actually here with his electrician partner, checking out the basement and the kitchen for the source of the leak. Turned out that it was caused by a non-used icemaker outlet where a pipe was installed - the below zero temperatures had frozen the pipe completely, and when it began to warm up, the pipe expanded and burst. Bob was very quick to disconnect the pipe and cleared up the mess in almost no time at all.
Total charge was 95 dollars - very fair, considering the amount of work that he did (busting sheetrock and all).
I was very pleased with the service I received from Bay Plumbing and Heating, even MORE impressed with their response time, and would highly recommend them. Now I know why my family member has kept them such a closely guarded secret!
An extremely happy (and clean!) customer.

Have used them twice now. They do a great job. Fixed what I needed both times with one visit. Their service is fast, courteous and reasonably priced. They clean up when they finish. I wouldn't hesitate to call them again.

In as few words as possible, I've had plumbers come to my home in the past and not once have I been satisfied with the work done, it was horrible. In one situation the plumber actually made things worst, I told him to leave my home and not dare ask me for any payment.
There's an old saying that THE BEST ADVERTISEMENT IS WORD OF MOUTH. I have to say this statement is so true. I got Anne Arundel Plumbing to come to my home for a small job. They arrived as scheduled and Jeff the plumber was very personal and professional. His handling of my plumbing issue shows me that he takes pride in his workmanship, and most importantly that he cares for his customers in the quality of work he did for me. I will be using them again in the future and would highly recommend Anne Arundel Plumbing to anyone looking for a reliable plumbing company.

Just had my Spring HVAC service. Technician was professional and informative as usual, but I wanted to comment on how careful Level Home Service was during the COVID-19 pandemic. Technician wore a mask, booties and gloves, maintained a safe distance, minimized contact with surfaces within the home, sent the receipt by email. The last thing we need during a home isolation period is to lose heat or air conditioning in the house. Very glad they are still on the job.

The polybutylene pipe busted in my yard on a Saturday. Had the water shut off and waited until Monday to call and get estimates to replace it. I called Ken Griffin Plumbing and Heating first and Brian was very courteous and helpful and was able to send someone out to my house without me being home (I had to go to work that day) to give an estimate. I was actually home when Bob came by and he too was professional and friendly. I called another plumber and I had them scheduled to come out the next morning and one plumber was to call me back to schedule an appointment.
The quote came in at a very fair price, I know because I compared it to what some of my neighbors have paid. The came out on Tuesday morning right on time and the entire team was professional, friendly and courteous. The worked tirelessly on a very hot day and had to dig by hand a 3.5 foot tunnel to my house.
There was quite a large mound at the end of the job that I wasn't quite expecting. I knew their would be a mound as they could not pack the dirt in as tight as it was. I questioned the head of the crew about it and he said it was normal. It was late and we were all tired so I decided to wait until the next day and call Brian back and ask him about it. In the meantime, I did take several pictures of the mound. When I called Brian the next morning, he indicated that it was likely a normal size mound and that it needed a couple of good rains to pack it down. He said if my yard wasn't level in 1-2 months they would come back out and redistribute the dirt as needed. He was going to have someone drive by anyway to see if the mound was excessively high. That was yesterday and I haven't heard from him, but I'm sure it's not at the top of their list. If I haven't heard from Brian by the end of today, I will call him in the morning.
I would have rated Ken Griffin Plumbing & Heating 5 stars, but I will hold off and see if there is a problem with my yard, that they return and level it out after 1-2 months.
They are highly rated in Howard County and seem to care about making the customer happy. I would not hesitate to hire them again.

I had these guys come in and do a re-piping of the water feed to the outside of the house. I have whole house water filters and the outside supply used that water (which doesn't need to be filtered) and there was no way to turn the water off and drain it for the winter. Apple put a new connection in, (pre-filter), ran the pipe to a turn off valve, added a drain valve, and connected to the outside. now I don't have to worry about frozen water in the outside pipe. He put the two valves in an easily accessible place so he thought about this. Didn't just slap it in place.
I am a very skeptical person so you don't get an A+ from me very easily. I was happy enough with this pipe work that I am going to have him replace a faucet and put in a hybrid hot water heater. I'll write here after that's done.

I've done business with this plumbing company since we bought our home over 4 years ago. I've never been disappointed. Gary usually is the one who comes to our house and does whatever needs to get worked on. He is awesome, knowledgeable, honest and he always goes above and beyond. We've never had to look for another plumbing company, because they never disappoint.

I have had him come out twice for 2 different issues. Yannis is professional, informative, and does excellent work! He answered all my questions and ensures I am satisfied before leaving. On-time, clean, and professional. Excellent service!

I'm writing this review after Saffer saved the day in my home yet again. We've been using Saffer since we bought our first home in 2006 (where they installed a new oil burner) and now, in our second Baltimore home, they helped us tremendously. We had a major clog in a sewer line and we were afraid it would require a full replacement at $2-3K+. But David Saffer, the owner of the company, diagnosed the problem smartly and even said if we wanted to save a little money, we could do some of the minor ceiling demolition ourselves, since his workers were extremely busy. We were happy to do that, because we needed this issue fixed fast, since we couldn't use water on our first floor. Patrick, a super nice guy, cleared the clog, repaired a crack in the toilet flange and was done in under two hours. Our feared major repair at a couple grand turned out to be under $300. Also, the women who answer the phones are awesome -- thank you, Norma and Vicki for being so responsive all the time. We love Saffer for their fair prices, their integrity and their speed and professionalism. Thank you, Saffer Plumbing!

Always prompt, always courteous, extremely professional.
We had a recent sewage backup and toilet overflow, both within days, neither related to each other. They have the equipment and know-how to diagnose the problem accurately and matter-of-factly. They tell me they've even resolved marital disputes!
We've dealt with various contractors over the years and we've found our go-to guys for two things. Plumbing is one of them.

I called for emergency to have work done and I found this small for people company in Hamden that did extraordinary work in my basement I called them on a Sunday eight at night he was at my house seven in the morning Monday morning Covid protected more professional than I first thought I would recommend anyone with any plumbing problems within a 40 mile area of Hamden these guys and lady are good and they also do other than plumbing they do home-improvement. And they're very good, also they work with you anybody has any problems don't be afraid to give them a chance it's a big company start out first small then big but I think these guys are going to stay small because they all know what they're doing and they all are licensed

Terrible. Had a 3:00 appointment. Left work early. Waited until 7. No calls from company to update me. Missed dinner plans. Was easy fix. Replace faucet handle. Guy tells me entire faucet has to be replaced. The one he has is $965. Same one on Amazon for $240. No thanks. Still charged me $79 for coming 4 hours late. Never again.

Go where the contractors go, and save a bundle, on all of your plumbing needs. Also, if you happen to need obscurely sized radiator valves or other strange plumbing contraptions, Northeastern Supply will likely be the only store in Baltimore with the goods.

Unfortunately, our experience with WA Gambrill has been nothing but negative. They replaced the water supply (not the larger waste line) to the house. The area they excavated was roughly 4 x 4. It is customary once the work is done to leave the earth mounded to account for any settle. Unfortunately, they left a 6 x 5 pile of large rocks and rubble 18 inches high. Sorting through it and disposing of the large rocks has been tedious and time consuming. So far there are 3 each 5 gallon buckets and several boxes of rocks ranging in size from 6 to 10 inches across. Of course, they had to be hauled to the dump as the trash collectors do not take this sort of waste. This represents two hours of work plus time to get it to the dump AND the pile still needs about 3 hours of work and then time to the dump. This has to be done to even get to a place where the ground can be readied for seed. While it is reasonable for a homeowner to have to do remedial work, what they left was simply not right. Attempts to get them to do what was right were met with arrogance from all levels of the company. It was a disappointment to say the least. If you are considering them for this sort of work, please see some of the pictures and know you might very well have to deal with something like this yourself. Knowing this beforehand should be factored in to any decision you make and the price you are willing to pay. The picture of the mound is what still needs to be done and as you can see the rocks that have been uncovered are not the pebbles Gambrill would like folks to believe they are. There is nothing quite like paying someone for work and then having to do some of it for them!

Ripoff artist. If you're in a bind, expect to be charged almost double what a reasonable rate would be. If you think being a long time customer matters, think again. This guy is why plumbers and heating people have a bad rep.

Mayes plumbing was assigned to replace the hot water heater at my rental property. When the plumber came out they informed me that I would need to have a chimney company come out to confirm that the chimney was up to code. I had never experienced something like this before, but they alleged that there were some new building code requirements and before replacing the heater they would have to get a confirmation that everything was good with the chimney. Conveniently they suggested that I contact Priddy Chimney Sweeps and provide a discount code for them to take a look at the chimney. I thought this whole thing was strange since I've had water heaters replaced at other properties without the involvement of chimney companies, but I didn't have time to confirm whether their allegation that this was a new code requirement was true. I contact Priddy and they inform me that I should send them pictures so they can diagnose whether the chimney is up to code. I send a ton of pictures over the course of two days and they finally tell me that I will have to have all of this work done ($2200) to the chimney before the heater can be installed.
Imagine my shock when I receive this estimate. My suspicion grows even more and I get concerned that these folks are trying to scam me. At this point, I do what I should have done and send a chimney company that We have used before to the property to take a look. Low and behold, the second chimney company says the chimney is up to code and properly lined and only charges me $195. After I receive this information I call Mayes back to register my frustration and concern regarding this entire situation. The supervisor I spoke to tells me that Mayes will not accept the confirmation of the chimney company that I used because they didn't give them a proper invoice with pictures!! She went on to tell me that Priddy provides pictures and a detailed description of the work that they will perform. So unless she was able to tally to my chimney company to confirm that the chimney was up to code they wouldn't proceed.
Keep in mind, it's been at least a week that the tenant has been without hot water, so this further delay is extremely frustrating. At this point, I decide to call my warranty company and report Mayes and ask that another company be assigned. As a result, the hot water heater was replaced the next day without incident by another company. I'm still pissed that I had to pay $195 for something that was a non-factor, but imagine if I had gone along with their scheme with Priddy Chimney Sweeps! I would be out over $2200!! Proceed with extreme caution with Mayes and Priddy because something is not right here!!
