Best Plumbing Services in Indianapolis, IN
This is the second time I have reviewed Paul Henderson Plumbing. Recently they replaced a garbage disposal. After looking at the bill and researching I found that they charged me twice what the disposal cost at all the local hardware stores. I complained but they said it was because the local stores get a better deal than they do. Why wouldnt they go to lowes? BI asked to have the owner call me to discuss this and I haven't heard a word. I am very concerned that they are overcharging customers. And disappointed in Paul Henderson Plumbing.

The very best plumber available anywhere! We have called for help, estimates. and advice for a number of issues and plumbing projects for years and Hunter is the best. They are the only plumber we call.

Techs were very good -saw the problem and fixed it in a reasonable amount of time. Pricing seemed fair. I would call them for future problems!

I met the owner at a networking group and was very happy because finding a reliable plumber is incredibly challenging. After talking with him I wanted to see if he would be a good fit and I just can't say enough about the professionalism of Mr. Mishler and his company. If you are looking for a locally owned and operated plumbing service that you can use again in the future, this is your one stop shop. The element of his service I appreciated the most was that if I had a problem that he couldn't fix, he would put me in touch with someone who could. A valuable asset and my first call for plumbing issues in the future!!

We have a clogged sewer vent stack which has already been diagnosed and only needs repaired. The plumber showed up on site and said there's no issue with the vent stack but there is soap scum, You just need to take care of your stuff. He was there for the service call fee and nothing more. He never intended to do any work. I cannot recommend such an unscrupulous business.

For HVAC in the Bloomington area this group is hard to beat. You can call them with confidence that they will do it well. If you are not sure and want a personal contact ask for Kelly Smith and he will see you right.

The technician was very polite and thorough. He arrived in the timeline the company quoted. The work I had done was reasonably priced.

We had these guys replace our water heater. They left a gas leak! When I called to see if they could come out to fix it I had to leave a message and didn't hear back from anyone until 8:30 at night (4 hours later). I talked to the man who installed it and he made a gas leak seem like no big deal stating, Unless the smell is so bad you can barely breathe, it isn't really harmful. What?! He said the could come out the next day to check it since I had a one year warranty on the labor. We called FOUR times and no one retuned out calls. We were forced to have another plumber come out to fix the leak. We are now having our credit card company dispute the charges. What a mess! Do not use these guys!!!!

AttaBoy was at my house within an hour of my call and promptly replaced my kitchen garbage disposal and re-piped my drain. The also identified the cause of the problem further down the drainline and fixed that as well. I can't say enough how professional and responsive they were. And, some of the most friendly people I've contracted!

The service technician was fast, professional, and informative.
However, the charge was too expensive ($375.00), I had to accept it because my drainage was clogged and cannot wait to call a different company. I felt I was hooked at that time. The job was done in less than 20 minutes without any part replacement. I called Roto-Rooter, the company said the rate was flat, no matter it is 10 minute or 5 hr works. I would call another company, which can do the job at $100, if Roto-Rooter told me the rate was flat $375.00 at the initial phone call.

We needed to have our (very old) sewer line replaced. We'd received a quote from another company but wanted to bid out such a large project. Carlisle was less expensive and did a very good job. They gave us multiple options and quotes as well as their recommendations on how to proceed. The sewer was a tight squeeze between houses, trees, and our gas line. They dug it up and replaced it, as well as some additional plumbing inside to reroute a pipe without any incidents. They were very good at explaining to me what they were doing and were courteous and professional when asking me to run water to test the line. I would recommend them for future plumbing projects.

Quick response but a little less than honest when it comes to how much you actually pay them. They really push their product as a replacement rather than want to try to repair what you already have. Hesitant to even try so not sure if they just want to make more money on full replacement or aren't confident in working on other brands?

What a con game ! Very poor response !! Very high prices. As bad as hope plumbing. Requesting a camera to look in the drain. Sent someone without a camera charged for that Someone was to come in the afternoon but never showed up

Indy Renovation was very professional and thorough. I got in touch with them with plans of getting a new water heater installed. They sent out a polite young man named Dan to install the aforementioned water heater. Dan left with not only installing a water heater in my home, but also installing hope in my heart. Sometimes I still think about Dan. I think about what he's doing or if he even works for Indy Renovation anymore. I often look up at the the stars and wonder if Dan is also looking up at the same beautiful specter, a beautiful specter indeed, but not quite as gorgeous as Dan. I wonder if he's the one made for me, lost amongst the galaxies, stars and nebulas, just as myself, just as all of us, in this perpetual landscape landscape that we call home. I love you Dan. Please come home.

In the process of selling my home, it was discovered that a pipe that was installed before we bought our house, ran underneath my neighbors driveway and would require excavation to correct. While disappointed that we would be responsible for repairing the neighbors property we agreed to cover the repair as this situation is not my neighbors fault.
During the inspection, the pipe was approximated as to where it was located, but could not be verified at the time, due to my neighbors car causing interference with the equipment used to identify the exact spot of the line.
Days later, the crew arrived to begin work, and this is where we ran into problems. While I was quoted one size (which was roughly 5x10 feet ) for the section (they believed) was the location of the pipe, they guessed incorrectly.
They dug down approximately 7 feet and couldn't find the pipe, and it turns out they dug in the wrong spot. The hole went from 4x8 and ended up being closer to 11x11.
I let the crew finish the job, and when contacted about settling the balance, I expressed some disappointment that the crew didn't verify the pipe location before digging as the scope of the repairs has now increased because of their mistake. As the saying goes, measure twice, cut once, at this point, the call was handed off to Mike (Terry?), who basically got on the phone and badgered me for saying I had agreed to pay for the work when the job was done (which I had), and that his crew didn't have a camera to verify the actual line placement on the day of the work ( so, apparently that's my fault). The disrespectful way in which he came on the phone to pressure me into paying the bill and assumed no responsibility was extremely disappointing.
I work in customer service for a living, and I have dealt with frustrated people over the years, and I can't recall having been so infuriated with the way I was treated. I will do everything I can to warn others about the response I received for being dissatisfied with the level of work that was done.
The crew that did the work on the pipe was nice, but made mistakes, the staff that was ultimately responsible for trying to find a compromise was a complete failure.
To provide perspective I have attached a picture of the first hole they dug (wrong spot, right size), and the final hole with the repaired pipe.

A plumber from McNeely entered my home because Airtron was working there replacing the AC unit and they stupidly thought that that no one needed permission!? I had an errand to run. Airtron had my cell #!!
There was a leak that wasn't an emergency in another condo unit. The fluidmaster in the toilet and the water shut off valve was replaced in my unit WITHOUT MY PERMISSION!!! Apparently or allegedly, my toilet was running and I've never heard it. (Neither did the plumber until he removed the toilet tank cover.) I hear it now, it runs after each flush, AFTER the unauthorized visit. Upon arrival home from the errand I had to run, the toilet didn't flush after I used it. As I'm washing my hands, my cell phone rings. It's a plumber with McNeely plumbing who informs me that he'd been in my unit and had replaced the shut off valve to the toilet and the fluidmaster inside the toilet tank as the toilet was running. He had my phone number, but couldn't call before any of this occurred? ***NEWSFLASH, the toilet now runs after each flush and I can hear it, where I couldn't before.*** How interesting. All of this is UNACCEPTABLE!!! He told me that the Airtron techs allowed him entry into my unit. I let him know that he did not have my permission to be in my unit. I would have told him to wait until I arrived home, had he called beforehand. It gets better.. you can't make this up!
On Saturday, I pulled back the shower curtain to turn on the shower. The tub was dirty, where it had been cleaned on Friday morning at 9:30 when I last showered with normal water pressure! I also managed to step on a clear, sharp, plastic piece of the broken, plastic shut-off valve that had broken and had been replaced. This and drew blood from the bottom of my foot and a few choice words. How that landed in the tub is beyond me. I became very angry all over again.
I cleaned the tub AGAIN with about 1/3 of the normal water pressure. It took 8 minutes for my usual 2 minute, lukewarm shower. I called McNeely plumbing AGAIN and talked to the on-call plumber, Christian. I explained that another plumber had gained entrance into my unit the day before WITHOUT MY PERMISSION and had made unauthorized repairs, but that NOW I had an audible sound of running water when I flushed the toilet, a dirty bath tub, water pressure about 1/3 lower than what I had on Friday morning and had a foot injury due to stepping on a sharp piece of plastic that had landed in the tub. He replied he was the on-call plumber and would call me back later when he could find out what was going on.
Christian did call back a few hours later and told me that Evan had been the plumber who had done the unauthorized (and incomplete) repairs. I told him that someone needed to come out immediately and fix the water pressure and the running toilet that I DID NOT AUTHORIZE OR HAVE KNOWLEDGE OF. Christian's response was that it was a holiday weekend, he was only the on-call plumber and if he couldn't find that they'd done something wrong, I'd be charged. My response was B******T, I HAD NORMAL WATER PRESSURE UNTIL YOUR COMPANY ENTERED WITHOUT MY AUTHORIZATION AND MADE INCOMPLETE AND ANAUTHORIZED REPAIRS! I'M NOT PAYING FOR ANYTHING! Christian ended the call. Admittedly, I was very angry.
I have two different stories of how McNeely plumbing gained access and an incomplete picture on Friday as to what had been done. Now on Saturday, I had a foot injury due to a sharp piece of clear plastic that was left in the tub and NEW, problematic toilet and shower issues.
On the 7th, McNeely visited again by appointment due to my travel schedule. The toilet running was fixed. The shower pressure magically corrected itself the week after all of this occurred.

Larry Plumbing did some work in my house about a year ago, He was found by the contractor I hired back then and never had to deal with him personaly. Recently, I had a situation where my basement flooded due to a clogged outside drainage, although it took us some time to find, my first person to reach was Larry... here's where it gets fun, he picks up the phone and tells me that he has no interest to help out due to a bad past experience with the contractor I had when I was remodeling the house .. he then tells me to find someone else to fix my problems! This level of unprofessional customer dealing leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth and thought I would share so no one has to deal with this kind of issues in the future. I don't have anything negative to say about his job which has held fine, but definitely on his customer treatment and more on emergencies such as the one I just went through.

He was the only plumber who come come within 4 hours for a leak in my garage. I should have waited. He did find the leak in an outside faucet and repair it. He then takes me into cutting a vent in my furnace stack to heat my garage, then drive to a hardware store 5 minutes away to buy a vent. He was gone almost 2 hours. When he came back he looked at another leaking outdoor faucet and told me it was not urgent, and that he wasn't available again for 3 weeks. He charged me almost $800, most of that labor for time he wasn't even at my home. I called someone else a few weeks later. The second leak caused a mold problem that had to be remediated, and the furnace vent is not to code and has to be removed. By the way, the faucet he did repair no longer works. What a crook!
