Best Plumbing Services in Indianapolis, IN

This is the second time I have reviewed Paul Henderson Plumbing. Recently they replaced a garbage disposal. After looking at the bill and researching I found that they charged me twice what the disposal cost at all the local hardware stores. I complained but they said it was because the local stores get a better deal than they do. Why wouldnt they go to lowes? BI asked to have the owner call me to discuss this and I haven't heard  a word. I am very concerned that they are overcharging customers. And disappointed in Paul Henderson Plumbing.

We had an issue with plumbing in the basement. They ran lines for a water softener and replaced an outside spigot. After a couple seasons the outside spigot caused issues again due to harsh weather conditions. They came out and took care of the issue. There is no other plumbing company I would rather use in the area for any plumbing issue. Don't waste your time and call them first.

Techs were very good -saw the problem and fixed it in a reasonable amount of time.  Pricing seemed fair.  I would call them for future problems!

Very Friendly. Price is very reasonable. Just wonderful people that offers wonderful services.

Firstly, the person that answered the phone the first time I called to ask questions and make an appointment was very polite and professional. She was able to get me scheduled and on the day of the appointment to have my water heater looked at, she kept me updated on how long the plumbing crew would arrive. The crew were very professional and explained everything they had to do. They even called me an hour after they were finished to make sure my water was hot again. Really appreciate them  will be using this company for all my plumbing needs in future.

I first called Roto-Rooter, but they couldn't give me an appointment date after 2 separate phone calls in 5 days, so I decided to try Commercial Service. They arrived a half-hour before the appointment time, but they called first to make sure it was OK. Very friendly, efficient service. I had them take care of 4 separate plumbing issues (2 very minor, 2 more difficult), and they were done in about an hour. No complaints. Would recommend

Very Professional!  Great Work!  Use them often...if your looking for a good reliable Plumber or HVAC (they do this too!)...I highly recommend and they won't make you take out a 2nd Mortgage to get your work completed!

For nearly six days I have had a serious gas leak. Brandon with powerhouse plumbers is a phenomenal guy. He came out and recognized the mistakes and was able to fix them very easily.

This company is fast, efficient, and accurate. They do not mess around and they are very professional. I would recommend them to anyone looking to get something done correct the first time!!

No business completed. I received a confirmation email in the morning after I made the appointment thru the internet. The time was 2-4pm for the next day. I received a called at 3:30 the next day notifying me they were behind on emails and wouldn't be able to make it.
Almost 2 hours wasted on waiting.

Very timely response to a semi-emergency on a Sunday afternoon (when I was afraid I wouldn't be able to get anybody and would have to deal with my residential plumbing issue). The technician was very attentive to my needs and worked hard to get the job done exactly how I wanted it. He also worked diligently to get the job done timely and efficiently.

We needed to have our (very old) sewer line replaced. We'd received a quote from another company but wanted to bid out such a large project. Carlisle was less expensive and did a very good job. They gave us multiple options and quotes as well as their recommendations on how to proceed. The sewer was a tight squeeze between houses, trees, and our gas line. They dug it up and replaced it, as well as some additional plumbing inside to reroute a pipe without any incidents. They were very good at explaining to me what they were doing and were courteous and professional when asking me to run water to test the line. I would recommend them for future plumbing projects.

Quick response but a little less than honest when it comes to how much you actually pay them.  They really push their product as a replacement rather  than want to try to repair what you already have.  Hesitant to even try so not sure if they just want to make more money on full replacement or aren't confident in working on other brands?

If I had a choice for no stars, that is what I would choose.  

In 2006 I asked them to install two new freeze/resistant spigots on the outside of my house (off of the room that's on a crawl space).  The first visit, they didn't act like they knew what they were doing and when finished, one spigot was sticking out of the outside wall by 3 inches.  I had them back and all they did was add caulk (the spigot still stuck out of the wall 3 inches).  Had them back again at which time they went back into my crawl space and voila, the spigot was installed flush with the house.  

Then I just found out in October of this year that the spigot had been leaking for who knows how long because it had frozen and cracked, leaking water all over my crawl space, in the HVAC ducts, etc.  I don't make it a point to crawl under my house and had no idea that the spigot had broken where the water pipe screws into the spigot. My hardwood floor above the leak started to buckle so I had another plumber (Grey's is awesome) attack the issue.  He found out that both spigots had been installed wrong ... instead of the pipes aiming down for draining, they were installed aiming up and thus stagnant water in the pipe froze and broke.  So an $8,000 repair job later ... floor in the 1000 square foot room had to be taken up, new joists (water rot) replaced, new subfloor and hardwoods put in.

These are three months of my life I will never get back (furniture from the demo room all over the house, contractors coming and going, huge dumpster in my driveway, complete mess during the holidays).  My insurance company is attempting to subrogate for the expense.

Bottom line ... Benjamin Franklin Plumbing is a franchise.  It appears their employees don't have a vested interest in the business (as a small business plumber does) - you can tell by their lack of knowledge and customer service.  Stay away and use a smaller locally owned plumbing company that's hungry and values quality workmanship at a reasonable cost.

Very poor professionalism, which makes me question their work. My husband scheduled an appointment last week, got our confirmation call two days before our scheduled appointment for Sat. @ 7:30 am. Was a No Show - No Call Left them a voice mail. Called back again on Monday and was told it was miscommunication. They did apologize but, again, makes me think twice about having them do any work for me now. Very disappointed

Very unprofessional. Refused to come to my neighborhood at 5pm in the afternoon because they said it was unsafe. My gas has been cut off for 3 days and I've just had major surgery. I can't cook, shower, or heat my home. They originally said they would be at my place in 20mins then called back and said 9am the next morning because my neighborhood was unsafe at 5pm in the afternoon???? When I called to make a complaint the dispatcher said I was irate ( which is a lie) and said they would not come at all. They basically didn't want to come to my neighborhood (aka black neighborhood after dark) at all anyway...I suggest not using this company at all. Racists and unprofessional and inconsiderate.

Awesome service!  Super nice technician. I've got HEAT!  I've called McNeely for plumbing and now I'll call them For HVAC

Larry Plumbing did some work in my house about a year ago, He was found by the contractor I hired back then and never had to deal with him personaly. Recently, I had a situation where my basement flooded due to a clogged outside drainage, although it took us some time to find, my first person to reach was Larry... here's where it gets fun, he picks up the phone and tells me that he has no interest to help out due to a bad past experience with the contractor I had when I was remodeling the house .. he then tells me to find someone else to fix my problems! This level of unprofessional customer dealing leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth and thought I would share so no one has to deal with this kind of issues in the future. I don't have anything negative to say about his job which has held fine, but definitely on his customer treatment and more on emergencies such as the one I just went through.

He was the only plumber who come come within 4 hours for a leak in my garage.  I should have waited.   He did find the leak in an outside faucet and repair it.  He then takes me into cutting a vent in my furnace stack to heat my garage, then drive to a hardware store 5 minutes away to buy a vent.  He was gone almost 2 hours.  When he came back he looked at another leaking outdoor faucet and told me it was not urgent, and that he wasn't available again for 3 weeks.  He charged me almost $800, most of that labor for time he wasn't even at my home.  I called someone else a few weeks later.  The second leak caused a mold problem that had to be remediated, and the furnace vent is not to code and has to be removed.  By the way, the faucet he did repair no longer works.  What a crook!
