Best Plumbing Services in Indianapolis, IN
This is the second time I have reviewed Paul Henderson Plumbing. Recently they replaced a garbage disposal. After looking at the bill and researching I found that they charged me twice what the disposal cost at all the local hardware stores. I complained but they said it was because the local stores get a better deal than they do. Why wouldnt they go to lowes? BI asked to have the owner call me to discuss this and I haven't heard a word. I am very concerned that they are overcharging customers. And disappointed in Paul Henderson Plumbing.

We had an issue with plumbing in the basement. They ran lines for a water softener and replaced an outside spigot. After a couple seasons the outside spigot caused issues again due to harsh weather conditions. They came out and took care of the issue. There is no other plumbing company I would rather use in the area for any plumbing issue. Don't waste your time and call them first.

Outstanding Plumber! We are new to Brownsburg and a coworker recommended Cornwell's. Their pricing is very fair, scheduling was easy, and the work was top notch!
We needed an expansion tank installed on our hot water heater and the first plumber we called, quoted us an absurd amount. We called Cornwell's; the price was good and what we expected. The technician that came out was helpful and knowledgeable. He told us some things we should consider doing in the future but did not try to oversell us on anything.
I wish I found Cornwell's the first day we moved to Brownsburg. They will be the only plumber we call from now on.

We had a brand new water softener installed in our home that didn't have the plumbing for one. The first place we called said we would have to find our own plumber. So.... I guess they didn't want our business?? So I googled and found Indy Water Heater and Softener and saw the great reviews. And they were spot-on. It was a great experience from start to finish. They did a great job getting all the plumbing installed, as well as the water softener, and didn't leave until they had gone over with me how to operate it and made sure I understood.
Will definitely recommend them for any plumbing job my friends and family may have.
Edit: actually our house is located in Indianapolis. I don't know why my profile says Plainfield.

Well the service was what it was expected to be. The AC works fine now and they time frame in which they delivered was good also. Only one day between call to appointment, so that was decent. My issue here is the pricing. With only having blown two capacitors, and coming away with a 307.00 bill, I find this pretty high. The two capacitors that were replaced in my unit only total to under $50.00. That's not even buying cheap parts made in China either. So to come away with a high bill for what took about an hours worth of time is pretty ridiculous. Commercial has serviced my Air for a couple years now and had been pretty reasonable prior to this. But after their We go by a pricing book for our repairs, not actual costs, that is deterring me from them for any future repairs. Not every job is the same set up or design. To price everything off of the hardest to get to, or hardest to work on units is extremely poor practice. Base the work off the job at hand and nothing else.

Very Professional! Great Work! Use them often...if your looking for a good reliable Plumber or HVAC (they do this too!)...I highly recommend and they won't make you take out a 2nd Mortgage to get your work completed!

We had these guys replace our water heater. They left a gas leak! When I called to see if they could come out to fix it I had to leave a message and didn't hear back from anyone until 8:30 at night (4 hours later). I talked to the man who installed it and he made a gas leak seem like no big deal stating, Unless the smell is so bad you can barely breathe, it isn't really harmful. What?! He said the could come out the next day to check it since I had a one year warranty on the labor. We called FOUR times and no one retuned out calls. We were forced to have another plumber come out to fix the leak. We are now having our credit card company dispute the charges. What a mess! Do not use these guys!!!!

I used them this week. they were very courteous and quick to respond and did good work but compared to prior similar calls elsewhere, they were slightly high priced

This is my second review of this incident. It is necessary because as I reported in my first review, although the plumber in this incident was excellent in every regard, I had a problem that developed as the result of not being able to provide the voucher I purchased at the beginning of the year in anticipation of needing to make this repair. All of the other members of the Roto Rooter team who I came in contact with, Todd Cousin (Artie's manager) and Regina (the customer service representative on the telephone were abominable; which I explained in painful detail in my first entry.
Why then am I writing a second entry? Because in the course of doing business, sometimes bad things are going to happen; even the best businesses are going to have some unfortunate events which occur for any number of reasons and the measure of the business is not whether or not these things happen but what management does once they are aware of the situation to resolve the matter. This is subject of this second review.
The original incident occurred late in the afternoon on a Friday. By the time the time things began to spiral out of control it was after business hours. I promise you I was fit to be tied Friday evening and I had prepared myself to have to sit and seethe for the entirety of the weekend until it could be dealt with on Monday morning. To my surprise, bright and early Saturday morning I received a call from the Customer Service Manager apologizing for the problem and promising to handle it as expeditiously as possible. A few hours later, I received a call from the Regional Manager who apologized for the problem offered me a satisfactory settlement of the problem and assurance that the people involved would be re-trained regarding the issues that came up during my service call. I received a third call Saturday afternoon just to confirm that all of my needs had been met and that the situation had been resolved to my satisfaction. Further, they wanted to ensure that I would give them another opportunity to service my needs and I will. As I said, bad things are going to happen sometimes and the question is what you do about it. They went above and beyond during off hours to make sure that my service needs were met and my ancillary issues resolved.
In the end, Roto Rooter hit this one out of the park.

We needed to have our (very old) sewer line replaced. We'd received a quote from another company but wanted to bid out such a large project. Carlisle was less expensive and did a very good job. They gave us multiple options and quotes as well as their recommendations on how to proceed. The sewer was a tight squeeze between houses, trees, and our gas line. They dug it up and replaced it, as well as some additional plumbing inside to reroute a pipe without any incidents. They were very good at explaining to me what they were doing and were courteous and professional when asking me to run water to test the line. I would recommend them for future plumbing projects.

Quick response but a little less than honest when it comes to how much you actually pay them. They really push their product as a replacement rather than want to try to repair what you already have. Hesitant to even try so not sure if they just want to make more money on full replacement or aren't confident in working on other brands?

Great team! The receptionists were very informative about pricing and quick to get me scheduled. Mike O. my plumber was communicative, friendly and efficient! He made it to my home within 3 hours of making the call (no time estimate available) and spent only about 45min on site to clear my main line. The pricing was competitive too. I will call again in the future if needed!

Contracted theses people to install a walk in tub for my Mother. Due to her decline in her health we had to cancel installation, Indy renovation refunded her money...

We've used them for years in our home and at the office. Always do a great job. They've done a laundry list of plumbing needs from replacing valves in faucets, cleaning drains to adding a water filter system.

DON'T CALL THEM!!!
McNeely Owned came out to my 92 year old mother's home to service her Air Conditioner Unit and basically charged her nearly 3hrs labor ($180) for approximately 45min Worth of work. This was this year (June 2013) and what makes it so bad is they had done the exact same work in July the previous year which indicates that they are not fixing the problem, just bandaging it in order to come back and repair again.
Air conditioners are only used a good 3 to 4 months out of the year and for it to be fixed in the middle of summer and then need the same repair in the beginning of the next summer says allot about the quality of work at McNeely.
The service guy Kirk is a really nice Iraq war Veteran that is very pleasant and professional, but the so called owner Kim is a real BIT%H to deal with. Very nasty and snippy attitude. I tried to be reasonable and offered to pay 2hrs of labor and she said NO! The Bill Stands!!! and immediately threatened to place a Mechanic's lean on the property. She then went on to inform me that I had to pay for kirk the service guy's drive time from when he leaves his previous call till he gets to my house, while he works on the unit, while he sits in his truck to cool off, while he calls the dispatcher for his next job etc... Basically I have to pay 3hrs. of labor for 45min of work.
Not Good People To Do Business With At ALL!!!!
I have heard that they actually use to do business as ARS (Air Conditioning Ripoff Service) but then they changed the name for obvious reasons, never the less ARS as well as McNeely are banned from working on this home and we will never call them again!!!

Larry Plumbing did some work in my house about a year ago, He was found by the contractor I hired back then and never had to deal with him personaly. Recently, I had a situation where my basement flooded due to a clogged outside drainage, although it took us some time to find, my first person to reach was Larry... here's where it gets fun, he picks up the phone and tells me that he has no interest to help out due to a bad past experience with the contractor I had when I was remodeling the house .. he then tells me to find someone else to fix my problems! This level of unprofessional customer dealing leaves me with a bad taste in my mouth and thought I would share so no one has to deal with this kind of issues in the future. I don't have anything negative to say about his job which has held fine, but definitely on his customer treatment and more on emergencies such as the one I just went through.

He was the only plumber who come come within 4 hours for a leak in my garage. I should have waited. He did find the leak in an outside faucet and repair it. He then takes me into cutting a vent in my furnace stack to heat my garage, then drive to a hardware store 5 minutes away to buy a vent. He was gone almost 2 hours. When he came back he looked at another leaking outdoor faucet and told me it was not urgent, and that he wasn't available again for 3 weeks. He charged me almost $800, most of that labor for time he wasn't even at my home. I called someone else a few weeks later. The second leak caused a mold problem that had to be remediated, and the furnace vent is not to code and has to be removed. By the way, the faucet he did repair no longer works. What a crook!
