Needed to repair shower after grandson decided to use the showerhead cord as a swing and ripped it out of the wall.
Requested an appointment online around 9:00pm, received a call the next morning around 7:30 and the job was complete before noon!
Fast response, efficient service, and reasonable cost- couldn't be happier! Zach was fantastic, explained everything, and left us feeling confident in our choice of plumbing service.

Thank you! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you for getting my water running again in my home. I appreciate the last minute work and for making sure that the job was done right and was clean and back to normal when you left.

Would give them six stars if I could. Family owned business that actually acted like they wanted our return business. We had a quote from another well known company that tried to talk us into $10k with of unnecessary repairs. Economy only fixed what was broken and had it done within 24 hours for a fraction of the cost.

Very quick. Easy to talk to. Gets the job done right.
That's what I'm thinking but evidently Yelp wants a higher word count so...
Punctual
Reasonable prices
Explains stuff
Are you serious Yelp?!?! Take my review already!!!

I hired Efficient Systems to deal with my water heater in the house I rent out near Garfield Park. The pilot light kept winking out when the burner would quit at the end of a heating cycle. I had pulled my hair out and spent most of three days trying to diagnose and repair the thing myself. They told me it was probably the massive amount of lime in the tank getting too hot and exuding more heat than the pilot light thermocouple could take. That made sense, and it was not worth trying to salvage that water heater, so I had them install a new one. They did it for a flat ~$1350 or so.
I also asked them to replace the old shutoff valve for the house that is aged to the point where it leaks for a while after being used, and while they were at it, to remove the old bypass valve to a departed water softener that some previous owner used to have. I wanted them to install a new shutoff valve with some threaded pipe so that someone in the future could install a new water softener with less trouble than if it was all sweat fitted. Well, they didn't come prepared to do it when they replaced the water heater. I went on a trip to the East Coast for a week, came back, responded to their email quote with specific instructions and a diagram of what I wanted, and got back this little lecture about needing to set up an appointment to come into the office and meet with so and so and then have someone come out and look at things to see how to set up a new bypass valve, which is definitely not what I asked. It was like they had no record of who I was or anything about what I'd already said I wanted. Rather a pain when they'd had two guys working on the water heater, which is literally 12 inches away from the shutoff and bypass, two weeks prior. It's pretty clearly not going to be worth the bother to have them do it at this point; I'll either do it myself or call a regular plumber, probably the former.
In all, it seems like the water heater was right in their wheelhouse; simple plumbing modifications, not so much.

Their customer service is very pleasant and I appreciated that. When they dispatch a tech to your home they send a picture with a bio and some highlights about the tech's life; including hobbies they enjoy. To some that might seem like nothing, but I like to have an idea of who is coming into my home. It simply made the transaction warmer. The lady that answers the phone is a fresh breath of air with her politeness and understanding. My only complaint is that 3 techs had to come out for an issue that I called in; each time the one before said there was no problem, but then the other tech found something. I still feel they were very competent.

Water bill was very high, so I hired a plumber. He determined that I had a leak from a water pipe in the cement slab the house was built on. He said I would need to hire a leak detector specialist to pin point the leak to minimize the damage. I found an ad on the internet for Mr.Leak Detective. He came out with some gauges & determined the leak was in the slab between the lower kitchen cabinet & the vanity in the MBR. He did not bring a marker or tape to mark the spot. I had to go out to the garage and get some tape & supplied a marker. He said he was positive that was the spot. I paid him $300. before he left. The plumber came in a few days later & had to remove the lower kitchen cabinet, made a hole of 8 x 12 in the wall & then used a jack hammer to go through cement to pipes. The leak was not in that spot. The plumber worked another hour and he found the leak 4 ft over, just under the stove. The previous damage wasn't even necessary! The stove could be rolled out and the plumber had to use the jack hammer and make another hole in the floor & repaired the leak. I then had to pay $250. more to the plumber and had to hire a handyman to put the cabinet/counter top back and repair the hole in the wall. This so called leak detector did not know what he was doing and caused unnecessary damage to my home. He wouldn't answer my phone calls until I used a different phone. He knew about his mistake because my plumber called him and told him. I requested a refund of the $300. fee he charged, but he will not give me a refund. DO NOT USE THIS MAN FOR WATER LEAK DETECTION!

Assurance Plumbing was assigned to me through my home warranty company to come out November 24th from 9a-4p to fix a kitchen sink stoppage. On the day of appointment, I called to confirm that someone would be coming out. Appointment was confirmed. I called periodically throughout the day and again after 4pm(after appt time). After 4pm, they stopped answering my calls. I had my warranty company call and they answered them stating that someone would contact me shortly and they were still sending someone out. I called them again, no answer. No one showed up! This was very inconvenient considering it was the day before Thanksgiving. Bad business!

One star is too much. DO NOT use this guy. He can't even do the work he has his son who is not a plumber do the work or try to do it. They didn't touch a thing and charged me $65. He use a flash light that is 20 years old and came with NO tools. WTF. Thanks Choice Home Warranty for NOTHING.

DO NOT RECOMMEND! We had used John Fowler many times in the past, however, I will NEVER use them again.
We had a different plumber work on our bathroom plumbing, but he got to a point that he did not have the expertise to complete the job correctly.
So, we contacted John Fowler specifically to do what the other plumber could not do. We paid $2500 in addition to what we had already paid our last plumber-and this was ok with us because Chase assured us they could get the job done how we wanted it done...... Sadly, we believed him.
However, they completely failed us and did NOT do the job as we had agreed upon. He charged our credit card even though we called to explain very nicely that the job was not done as we had agreed on. We asked if he could come back out to complete it as we had discussed.
Chase simply refused to come back out to correct it! He only agreed to change out a drain, which was only a very small part of the problem as the entire job was done wrong. We were shocked! In addition, he showed his true colors and was extremely rude and condescending. He was more concerned about his time and his money than he was about practicing integrity, behaving ethically and keeping a very loyal customer.
I have spent years referring people to John Fowler, now I will tell everyone to RUN AWAY -they are unethical and the owner, Chase, is rude and unprofessional! They do not stand behind their work. BEWARE of JOHN FOWLER! If they do not do the job right, they will not come back out to correct it, but will TAKE YOUR MONEY AND RUN the first chance they get.
