Indy Water Heater and Softener was created to bring back the skill in skilled labor. We are licensed professionals dedicated to doing a job right the first time. We are a drug free company that has gone through an extensive 5 year apprenticeship. With over 27 years of experience, we've obtained all the skills necessary to do any plumbing installation and/or repair. Specializing in water heaters and softeners , however, we are a full service plumbing company. We promise to be honest, friendly and professional on every visit.
HISTORY
Established in 2014.
Indy Water Heater and Softener LLC was created because we felt plumbing had become too much of a big business and the old ways had been lost. Skilled labor was deteriorating, especially in the residential market and my profession was being tarnished by these BIG out of state owned plumbing companies. We thought to ouselves, what happened to the days of treating people with respect, charging fairly for a job done right, and using skills learned by years of training, on the job and in an apprenticeship gone. We are an Indiana born company that brings the Hoosier hospitality, honesty, and the work ethics that Hoosiers deserve and expect.
ABOUT BUSINESS OWNER
Born and raised in Indianapolis Indiana. Graduated from Roncalli High School. Always wanting to have a trade, I decided to start plumbing at the age of 18 with a residential plumbing company. Deciding to make a career of plumbing, I joined the Plumbers and SteamFitters Local 440. That is where I learned my training in a 5 year apprenticeship.
After graduating, I was a supervising foreman on many jobs. Was approached to become a Superintendent but always had a passion for the residential market and building relationships with my future customers.
In 2014, we decided the time had come. With the grace of God, influence of friends and family, and the many personal relationships that have been made in such a short time, we are confident that Indy Water Heater and Softener LLC is here for a very long time.

Danny and his folks are some of the nicest (and most knowledgeable) tradesmen we've had in our home. After purchasing a home with some hidden plumbing leaks (most missed on the inspection), we ended up with five different leaks hidden behind the walls - including a full kitchen insurance claim. Danny only charged us one trip fee, and fixed every single leak right the first time. This included taking apart shower equipment, 3 sump pumps, and a kitchen remodel. Danny worked with and around all the other contractors and insurance, got the right parts under warranty, and above all educated us the whole way. After going through a full remodel, he was one of the only contractors we walked away with having a true comfort level and trust with.
That, and those two fellas are genuinely good, funny, honest guys. You can tell Danny genuinely cares about his customers (and his name with referrals) and just wants to have a good business doing what he likes. Just a straightforward dude who's been doing this a good long time, knows his stuff, and wants to do honest work. You can't beat that. Best tradesman I've met in Indy. Would gladly be a personal reference for him any time.

We had a water softner put in place a few months ago and I have to say it has been a huge improvement. The staff was wonderful and professional. Danny, the owner came out personally and gave the quote since a mutual friend recommended him. I love my new water heater. You are my plumber for life!
We had a leaking hot water heater earlier this year and called several plumbers to give us quotes on a tankless system. A couple came out to look at our situation and provide a quote on a tankless but the service tech from Indy Water Heater & Softener was THE ONLY ONE who checked the warranty on the water heater tank we had installed and let us know that the unit was still under warranty. These guys presented us the option of replacing the unit under warranty or a tankless option - so we chose to replace the unit under warranty of course! Everyone else was looking to close a tankless sale, so now when the time comes to actually install a tankless system I will be making one call - to Indy Water Heater & Softener. Just last week before Christmas our garbage disposal was leaking, I didn't call the guys I have a maintenance contract with, I called these guys. They were out quickly to replace and could not have been more professional or friendly. I would recommend these guys to anyone with a plumbing repair need or an installation. Great work guys!!

We had a brand new water softener installed in our home that didn't have the plumbing for one. The first place we called said we would have to find our own plumber. So.... I guess they didn't want our business?? So I googled and found Indy Water Heater and Softener and saw the great reviews. And they were spot-on. It was a great experience from start to finish. They did a great job getting all the plumbing installed, as well as the water softener, and didn't leave until they had gone over with me how to operate it and made sure I understood.
Will definitely recommend them for any plumbing job my friends and family may have.

We have a clogged sewer vent stack which has already been diagnosed and only needs repaired. The plumber showed up on site and said there's no issue with the vent stack but there is soap scum, You just need to take care of your stuff. He was there for the service call fee and nothing more. He never intended to do any work. I cannot recommend such an unscrupulous business.

Our water heater stopped working. They were very helpful giving me an approximate quote over the phone and then they also came out to confirm the quote for free. It was 20% cheaper than another company that came out to quote and charged me for the quote.
Indy Water Heater and Softener installed the heater very quickly and were really friendly. Danny, the owner was the one that gave me the quote and came to install the water heater, which I really appreciate. I like to support small companies. I am new in town and he was very sweet and when I asked him for referral for an electrician, HVAC, etc, he pulled out his phone and gave me a whole list! I highly recommend this company.
I called because my family is getting ready to move and I thought we may need to pay for an updated service. Danny was great, he walked me through everything over the phone and saved us some money! I would recommend them to everyone, they are doing the right thing and helping people!

Our 18 year old water heater stopped working. They called me back immediately after missing my call. They came over first thing the next morning at the time they agreed to. They were able to give a quick quote, go pick up a new water heater, and install it all within the same day. I also asked them about moving a shower head to another wall and they were more than happy to give a quote even though they had to rush off to the next jobl. I highly recommend them and will use them again for anything plumbing related!

Indy Water Heater Softener has been to my house to repair once and to add a shut off valve the second to add a outside water source. Both times Danny was one time and POLITE. He knew his job well and did exactly what he said he would do. I would recommend him to any one and if I need more I will call him in a heartbeat.

Firstly, the person that answered the phone the first time I called to ask questions and make an appointment was very polite and professional. She was able to get me scheduled and on the day of the appointment to have my water heater looked at, she kept me updated on how long the plumbing crew would arrive. The crew were very professional and explained everything they had to do. They even called me an hour after they were finished to make sure my water was hot again. Really appreciate them will be using this company for all my plumbing needs in future.

Very happy with the quick response to replace our leaking water heater. They arrived during the expected time frame, and completed the work in a reasonable time. Price was very reasonable. Would recommend them to others.
