Established in 2015.
Big City Plug started in 2015 under Journeyman Electrician James Clark Jr as head electrician and James T. Clark III as manager and second in command. Only focusing on remodeling and renovation, the company maintained well with customer in chicago and surrounding suburbs. After years of training under a well know and established electrical company James T. decided to make that move and take Big City Plug from just remodeling and renovation to electrical repair. Allowing Big City Plug able to Help customer with smaller job as well as customers with emergencies (in home power outage, non working outlets/lights, lighting repairs) as well as simple job like ceiling fan install to flat screen tv mounts.

ABOUT BUSINESS OWNER

James T Clark III grew up learning electrical from his father Journeyman electrician with IBEW 134. From age 9 he has gone from simple jobs like carrying wire to installing light switches, installing ceiling fan to wiring completing large scale electrical job such completely upgrading 6 unit apartment building with 400amp serves meters and panels. After training with a well established and known electrical company in chicago suburbs James T. Clark III focus on changing Big City Plug to a customer service based company rather than a large scale Big Job electrical company. Meaning focusing on being a house hold name rather than a industry giant. BCP customers can expect nothing but the best service a company can provide. I highly recommend James for any electrical needs. He installed new track lighting and a pendant fixture in my loft which was complicated because I have concrete ceilings. He did a great job problem-solving and made sure everything was perfect. I appreciate his professionalism and know-how. The job was finished quickly and the updated lighting in my place looks great.

I had an outlet making noises that I knew were not right and that it was an urgent situation. I shut off my power and called a bunch of electricians who were too busy. I called Big City Plug and James answered and was over in about 90 minutes. He fixed me right up and I'm having him back to check all my outlets. He's fantastic - friendly, knowledgeable and reasonable prices. So glad I found him!

James did an awesome job helping me figure out my door bell situation. He was very responsive to my messages. He's super knowledgeable and friendly. He was even able to explain to me the mechanism of how all the wires could work (because my doorbell had 12+ wires too it instead of the standard 3) in simpler terms. Overall, I would highly recommend him. Thank you!
