The plumber couldn't even pull the compact washer machine out to get to the pipes. He asked my mom who is 82 years old to help him.

I expected a friend to help me assemble a bed, but that person backed out at the last minute--two days before I expected a house guest. Kama'aina Handyman was able to send out a handyman the day after I called. Brad was friendly, personable, knowledgeable and efficient. He assembled the bed in under an hour, and that was with the two of us chatting. He also assured me that I had bought a nice, sturdy bed. Five stars for the service, but only four for value, because the service was inordinately expensive for the task.

We are absolutely thrilled to have hired Benny from BP Handyman services for our 1/2 bath plumbing upgrade and installation. He replaced our very old plumbing, installed a sink, faucet, and skirted toilet with a bidet seat. Benny exceeded our expectations!
From the start, his communication was fantastic and his prices were well within reason. Benny worked hard to update the old plumbing and created a beautiful bathroom remodel.

Had an underground water leak somewhere that was causing our water bill to spike!  Called several plumbers but none could remedy the situation.  One of them recommended American Leak Detection and I'm so glad they did!  Nikolai was very responsive from the start and prompt on showing up when he said he would, knowledgeable, and just an overall great guy.  Found the leak, excavated the source, and recommended a reroute due to age and condition of the 50 year old water line.  Nikolai was a great communicator, professional, upfront, and honest throughout with the work and effort needed.  He even cut the price from his quote (twice!) since the work ended up being more straightforward than he initially thought!  If you ever suspect an underground leak, don't hesitate to give Nikolai a call.  He will exceed your expectations!

I recently found out that I had a hot water leak in my house. It was miserable since I had weeks of no hot water.

I did due diligence and called to get several estimates to fix the hot water line. Initially I called Steve's plumbing (you can read my review) and they gave me a crazy estimate of almost $27,000!!

Being that I am no dummy, I got an estimate from Cubellis plumbing. My parents have used Chris Cubellis in the past who is a licensed master plumber, and they were very satisfied with his service.

I gave him a call, and he promptly came out to my house to give me an estimate. His quote of $4195 I felt it was a fair offer. He was able to start in two days.

Chris came over on a Saturday with a fellow plumber, and the both of them were able to complete the entire job in one day. Chris is very fair, down to Earth, and very easy to talk to you. He does not try to over inflate his numbers, or give BS to people who don't know anything about plumbing.

I am very happy with his work, which he guarantees. I definitely will use him in the future if I have any other plumbing needs!

William, from William's Services, was prompt to respond to my request for help. Within 24 hours after contacting William, he scheduled a next day appointment to help with a TV removal/installation/mounting project. William completed the job with both great skill and care, all for a very reasonable price.  Not living in Honolulu year round makes it difficult to find an honest, reliable and competent handyman.  I'm extremely fortunate to have found  William and will most definitely hire him again for future projects.  I highly recommend William's Services for any household or business projects requiring a handyman! I got screwed by Roto and Russell's saved the day. Sent out knowledgeable, professional guys who knew EXACTLY what the problem was and told us how to fix one issue on our own, and fixed the other on the spot. Will always use Russell's from here on out!

6-20-22  When I purchased our 2 new Toto toilets and washlets I asked for a plumber and the salesperson at the Bathroom Store arranged for Irving Murakami to do the job.

I liked that he came a few minutes earlier than the 8:00 a.m. appointment time .  He had loaded boxes for one toilet and washlets into a cart and it was rolled just in front of our front door.

He removed the old toilet carrying it down from the upstairs bathroom.  Within an hour the first one was running with the help of an extension cord that hubs ran up the street to purchase two of them.  The plan is for Irving to return in a couple days to place an outlet next to both new toilets.

He then proceeded to work on the downstairs removal and installation.  There needs to be an 11 inch clearance from the wall which the salesperson also did not inform us about.

Irving is very cool headed, works incredibly quietly and gets the job done.  The pipe was too close to the new toilet.  At first he was going to turn off the water to cut the pipe but Board of Water Supply would take 2 hours to get here.  For the time being he angled the new toilet.  If he didn't inform us I'd never have known.

Our little sweetie was the first to try out the upstairs one and hubs was the first to try the one downstairs.  

The remote has a butt wash, a front wash, air to dry, a heated seat, and a few more functions.  The temperature can be adjusted on the back of the remote.  Fun stuff!

Looking forward to Irving's return for the outlets.  He is very personable, polite, slim build but very strong.  He cleans up the area he works on.

If your decide to have Toto brand installed, Irving is highly recommended.

Super amazing and chill guy! He didn't make things harder than they needed to be. He was a professional individual that worked efficiently and honestly. He explained that he likes to do in person estimates and the why behind it which I appreciated as well. I would recommend this business !

When your AOAO selects the contractor for a full building re-pipe project, you don't have much choice as a resident but boy am I glad our AOAO chose Hawaii Plumbing Group. The team is amazing. From the on-site manager (Peter) to the crew (Nick, Johnny, Jonathon, Eric, Junior, Mikey, Gomer, and so many more) they are professional, respectful, efficient, and a pleasure to work with. They were constantly communicating and ahead of schedule. They were also able to correct plenty of other problems they encountered along the way.

In our unit, they had to remove multiple walls as well as completely gut a guest bathroom to replace the aging and failing pipes behind the walls. It's a major project and (of course) a major inconvenience when you live and work in the unit. Despite all of that, they put everything back together so expertly that you can't tell that they were ever here. They're hard-core about cleanliness and protecting your belongings and family.

We've been through major projects before but this was BY FAR THE BEST EXPERIENCE that we've ever had with a massive retrofit. Thank you HPG!

So many of the buildings in Urban Honolulu are due soon for these large-scale projects over the next few years. If your building is undergoing this work, I would strongly encourage you to use Hawaii Plumbing Group.

Do not call this plumber!!  He is rude, absent-minded, and doesn't care if he gets additional business (or at least he said so doing our conversation.)

I dialed the phone number listed under another company (a company that has the same two first letters in its name) on this site.  This other company obviously had a very good rating but had the wrong phone number listed (D's Plumbing's phone number.)  This was Monday in which he didn't identify his company name when he answered, said he would call me back later that morning with a quote, and never did.  

I called the number again two days later (thinking it was the other company with 5 star reviews)  He rudely tells me that he already gave me a quote, in fact, insists that he did.  I told him that I've been calling around for quotes so to identify his company name.  D's Plumbing did not ring a bell at all to me and why should it?  The only other review other than the one I am writing now has one star!!  

Knowing that I didn't intend to call D's Plumbing, I explained to him that his phone number is listed under the other company.  He tells me he is aware of this and that the other company is using his phone number.  He then said he is going to have the other company investigated.  This guy is crazy!!

Had Nick work on my unit several years ago. I've been calling him for months leaving messages and he never calls back. Don't really know what to make of him maybe he had a heart attack and died but I think he just doesn't care.

After noticing water leaking from my hot water heater, I turned off the power and drained it.  Called AHS and YAMAZ was selected.  He arrived and inspected the unit and left.  He returned 45 minutes later with a new Rheem heavy duty hot water heater with superior energy saving over our old one.  Best $75 I've spent.  He was professional, fast, and we would use their services in the future.
