Drain Works installed a new gas water heater for us. The owner knows his stuff and gave honest advice which was in my best interest, not his.  You can tell when someone is straight with you and Drain Works was certainly practical in their approach.  I found other companies willing to do the job cheaper but when looking at their proposals they are simply buying something from Home Depot and slapping it in place.  Drain Works deals with quality water heaters and the final project was well executed, with well done plumbing lines. Don't hesitate to call them and you will quickly see for yourself why I gave them 5 stars.

Matt came out and snaked my sink drain. Very prompt, efficient, and professional. If I ever have any plumbing issues in the future I'll be calling and requesting Matt.

Received four quotes for three major home projects: A complete master bathroom remodel, a new deck, and replacement of a drop ceiling with sheetrock and repair of a water-damaged wall in a guest bedroom.
The first three quotes were from high end remodelers. A friend recommended Allen Geoffrey's Handyman Services to us (she had just had her bathroom remodeled). Geoff and his crew (Mark and Brian) came out to survey the jobs. They spent more time with me going over what work we wanted and what our major concerns were. They suggested a comprehensive plan of attack from top to bottom. We were consulted at every step of each of the projects to ensure that our expectations and design elements were incorporated.
Their price quote came in thousands (yes, thousands) of dollars less than the three previous quotes. While they don't provide the design assistance of the high end contractors, they met us at a big box contractor store and helped us color-coordinate our design interests. They took care of ordering all the various pieces parts needed and got us a significant discount on materials.
First, they replaced the deck to install flashing (that the previous home owner neglected to do), that led to the water damage in the guest bedroom. The deck was brought up to code and revealed serious problems with the previous deck installation.
After the deck was done, the crew split off into two teams, one working on the master bathroom, the other, working on the guest bedroom.
The crew took care of hauling off all old materials and cleaned up after each day. The work was first-rate.
As with any major home project, unexpected/unforeseen problems arise. While removing the water-damaged sheetrock in the guest bedroom, major water damage was discovered to the exterior wall. Geoff gave me a very reasonable labor estimate to repair the wall. That wall is now the strongest in the house.
They show up when expected, every day, until the job is done.  They go beyond what is expected to ensure that the client is happy with the direction the project is headed.
I highly recommend these master plumbers. I guess my highest endorsement is that, when our kitchen cabinets come in, Geoff and his crew will be doing our complete kitchen remodel (again, coming in thousands of dollars less than the high-end contractors). If you need any work done to your home, give them a call. They will not disappoint you.

Great experience hiring Tony to fix a broken pipe that was flooding my crawlspace.  He was able to quickly diagnose the problem and fit the complicated repair into his busy schedule.  Overall, I was very pleased with his services and I appreciated how honest and easy he was to deal with.  I will not hesitate to use him again.

I didn't use the to replace my water heater or have them come over to my place for one reason they charge $89.00 to give me an estimate not a repair a replacement the woman on the phone tried telling everyone charges that and I replied back nope maybe if I went with the company, they pad that into the price with the Covid price increase you really charge extra.  She said if I go with the job they will deduct that in the price but that means they can over charge and still make money on every job.

Never showed up. Never called to explain.

We had a main sewer backup suddenly and Gus was able to have someone out within a couple hours to help (and even offered to rearrange their schedule to come right away, which we fortunately didn't need). When the problem turned out to be unfortunately complex, Gus was knowledgeable about likely root causes, DC infrastructure, and lodged a report with the city on our behalf to get the next step moving. He also followed up with them directly until they came to investigate and ultimately solve, rather than just rushing us to use his company for all the work (which was extensive).

Rob came out the day after I called and installed a new garbage disposal. Arrived when he said he would, did a good job, everything left clean and tidy, done in no time. I will call them again when I need work done.

Absolutely stellar handyman service. Ramon was quick to respond and offer a quote for our work and came by a few days later with one other handyman to complete the job. They took COVID precautions, held friendly conversation, and performed quality work - so much so that another contractor who came out a week later commented on how well it had been done!

One Man Handyman is my go-to for handyman services. Highly recommended.

Had a broken pipe in my shower flooding my downstairs neighbor in our garden style apartment building.

Called Bill in the A.M. and he called me back about 20 minutes later to let me know he had time to come out.

He was late for the appointment BUT I felt this wasn't a knock on him based on the local traffic in my area which can get congested any time of the day.

He diagnosed the issue, took out the broken pipe, installed a new pipe and was very cordial and informative throughout the process.

He also took the time to make a minor fix to my toilet.

The cost was fair in my opinion.

The other reviews about B&C are very accurate...I would recommend highly.

We have an older house and needed a few different plumbing jobs done.  Firstly we had an iron main drain pipe that had cracked and needed to be replaced.  The second job was to replace our toilet.  Unfortunately, our relatively straight forward job quickly turned bigger than expected when it was discovered that most of the main drain pipe had weakened and needed to be replace than was first thought.  We also discovered that a good bit of the subfloor under the toilet also needed to be replaced.  Fortunately, the Brookland plumbing team took it all in stride and made sure that everything was fixed and put to rights before leaving.  Naturally, these hiccups took longer to remedy than was expected which, much to their scheduler's chagrin, caused them to fall behind on getting to their other customers that day.  My wife and I truly appreciated the care, professionalism and expertise that Brookland displayed in helping us that day.  To anyone that asks me, they are the first I would recommend.

Definitely my first call for ALL plumbing needs!  We recently had an outside spigot and pipes replaced.  Van scheduled an appointment quickly and showed up on time.  He identify the issues with our old spigot and clearly explained the options, risks, and costs associated with replacing spigot and updating outside water lines, which were very outdated.  He was able to customize pipes to fit the required space inside and anchored the new spigot to the outside brick wall.  

Van also had to deal with issues shutting off the water in our house.  Our main water shutoff was not working properly, but Van knew alternative ways to shut the water off externally and worked through some of these troubles without hesitation.  Van clear takes pride in his craft and does it with a pleasant demeanor.

I have no complaints with this company. The plumber showed up on time, gave me a fair price and fixed the problem. I believe it's a small company so you may have to leave a message and he will call you back. I will use him again and recommend him to family and friends

Elliott replaced my hot water tank in February. It wasn't a fun job since I'm 4 floors up in a condo with no easy way to drain existing tank. But Elliott was friendly, professional, and worked through all the obstacles! More than fair price! Will definitely use again for any plumbing issues and have recommended to friends.

I had a leaking shut off valve on the waterline to a remote garage a couple hundred feet away. This was during that recent cold snap we had where every plumber was busy thawing out pipes and repairing frozen pipes but I called Mahon plumbing and Chris immediately said give me a minute and I'll call you back he did and had a guy stop in my house between jobs within a couple hours And he brought everything he needed because I had sent a picture of the situation and from that they analyzed it then the guy showed up with all the tools he needed and a truck full of spare parts. He had the latest pipe connecting technology I knew the days of gas flames and soldering were probably gone And there's the technology that's available to us amateurs where we can push. The pipes together is also surpassed now they had the latest connection technology and the equipment they needed to implement it and I got a beautiful job done in no time at all and I stood and watched a technician, and he explained every step he was doing and it was really educational experience and then for a very reasonable price it was fixed, and he was out of there. so I gave them a five star rating For the way they operated so professionally.

Great company to do business with! Every time I've call for service I'm greeted professionally & pleasantly which is a nice change from a lot of companies out there. They are quick to respond and their techs are knowledgeable and keep good communication of what the problem is as well as what caused the problem, and then the options to resolve the issue. Highly recommend...my go to plumbing and HVAC company.
