My well pump pressure gauge was damaged, this would have created a huge water issue in my basement, had it not been that somehow I managed to get the leak under control. This incident happened recently and considering it was a holiday weekend. However, l needed a plumber to address the situation quickly so as to avoid any water  damage. I searched on Yelp and found a few companies. I reached out to Champions plumbing and Mr. Gus was very responsive and quick He answered (responded) to all my questions and his quote was also reasonable . He finally came out on Monday to complete the job . The Technician he sent, Jake was simply phenomenal. I think their name Champion speaks for itself as he was able to complete the job in record time, he was very professional and most importantly price was reasonable . I would definitely recommend their service to friends and family. You are really a champion.

Kudos to Gus and Fedo from Champion! My water heater was leaking, and I wasn't sure how much time I had before it blew. That happened to my next door neighbor recently. I called Gus, and within a few hours Fedo showed up at my door. He was polite and made a quick assessment that I needed to replace.

My house is 130 years old, and every appliance/utility repair is complicated. Turns out all my values were rusted and corroded, which made turning the water off complicated. Gus and Fedo were not rattled. They worked with DC Water to get it done.

Champion is transparent and they show up when they say they will. I really appreciate that. Gus is very communicative. And when we turned the water back on after the installation, Fedo took extra time to make sure all the faucets worked as well as possible. He was great.

I would definitely call Champion again. Plus, I called around for quotes and they were the most reasonable. Thank you Gus and Fedo!

Champion came out on short notice to unclog shower drain.  Jason was very knowledgeable and helpful, and did a great job.

Jason was fabulous. He helped unclog a storm drain just in time for some crazy dc weather this summer. He was punctual and really went above and beyond to get the job done.

1st of all, Jason from Champion Plumbing is top notch.  Arrived exactly when he said he would and performed repairs efficiently and with a professionalism that I appreciated.  The repairs were for a leaky bathroom faucet that I just could not get corrected on my own.  In the process of the fix, Jason showed me some things about my unit that I did not know existed with regards to the water flow and gave tips on home care when on extended trips.  This was grade A service, all around.

Gus and his team did a great job. Gus was very informative about the issue I had. The price was fair. I will definitely be using Champion again for my plumbing issues.

I was very pleased with everything Gus did to fix my bathroom shower. The problem ended up being a lot simpler than expected, and he basically came and tightened and adjusted all the pipes without having to break down any of the drywall! He also explained everything in detail so I knew what to do in the future. He is very honest and I will definitely be calling him if I need anything else fixed in the house!

We recently wanted to replace/ upgrade two faucets and a toilet. Spoke to Gus who was very understanding and attentive. He understood what I wanted to do and quoted me a reasonable price.

Nothing special here.  Decent enough company when everything goes right but the attitude changes dramatically when work they perform doesn't solve the problem.

We paid $850 to have a drain cleared that was backing up into our toilet in the basement bathroom.  As you can imagine, I was less than thrilled when less than two weeks later I was spending my Saturday afternoon cleaning sewage out of that same bathroom that backed up from the same toilet.  I texted Gus but never received a reply.

When I did reach him on the following Monday I was greeted only with defensive refusals to take any responsibility for the problem despite the fact his company had supposedly cleaned that same drain less than two weeks prior.  He even suggested we'd have to spend another $600+ to have his crew come back and see why their first repair didn't work. This was all incredibly frustrating as we have three young children and we needed to know the problem was fixed so they could all go to the bathroom etc...

When pushed to own the issue he, as others have reported, resorted to the tired game of childish name calling, insults, and false bravado.  He did ultimately suggest the city may be on the hook for the issue and made the necessary report for them to come. While this was appreciated, the fact it literally took 6 hours of increasingly inflammatory texts on his end for him to finally take that step rather than just doing it when I first called is beyond me.  Unfortunately, when the city did come they just confirmed the issue was not on the city's end which left us right back where we started.  By this point, Gus had made clear he never wanted to speak with us again and the feeling was quite mutual after dealing with his antics literally all day long so we decided to find other options to deal with the issue.

We had used Champion for several years for a number of issues, including installing a new hot water heater and a couple of other drainage issues and they were generally fine during those occasions and I even enjoyed talking to Gus who is, when in a good mood, an enjoyable guy to talk to.  Thus the three stars on this review.

Of course, what I care about most, however, is how a company responds when their work wasn't perfect and the customer didn't, perhaps, receive the best service to address the problem.  I certainly understand mistakes happen but I'll never understand why a company would rather insult, and obviously lose, a current customer than just stepping up and acknowledging that the first attempt at fixing the problem didn't work as planned and seeing what they can do to remedy that.

Obviously I'm moving on and won't be using Champion in the future and, based on Gus' colorful language in his texts with me, I'm guessing he's fine, maybe even happy, with that.

You may receive good service from these guys but think carefully before thinking they should be your go-to plumber given the possibility (probability?) they will leave you high and dry like they did with my family.

Bad leak from inside the garage ceiling, called this place and they were great, starting from the actual call--Gus actually tried me back after we didn't connect right away.  He also saw the note we sent to the website.  He came out himself, that day, and handled it even when it turned out there were two leaks, not one.   A good guy, very clear on the work and the pricing.

Responsive, and extremely knowledgeable! Figured out the problem extremely quickly, and was able to schedule me right away!

They came right on time and got right to work. They also found another pinhole leak due to corrosion while fixing the first and only had to charge me extra since they had to move the toilet to make the repair!

They were upfront about costs and gave me a lot of great feedback! Plus tips for the future!

We called Gus to help me with a clogged outside drain. One a rainy night he came within two hours.   He is knowledgeable and efficient.  He also made a couple of suggestions for a us to try to help us with our issue.   I would highly recommend Champion Plumbing and Drains.

Gus picked up the phone and was able to schedule Chris the same day to fix a drain issue. When the issue was larger than first expected, Chris went to Fragers for more materials and finished up the job in the same day.

They fixed a leak that was affecting 3 floors on the same day I called.  Responsive and knowledgeable dispatch and crew.  Crew was not only professional, they were incredibly conscientious.  They tried to avoid waking a sleeping baby.  Highly recommended.

I been having an issue with an outside drain for about 2 week  now that would back up and cause my basement to flood. I first called the drain fighter jetting and drain cleaning to see if they would be able to help solve the issue. They snake my outside drain 100 ft and did some hydro washing but that didn't help solve the clog. They said it was a bad grease problem. I had to leave town on July 30 for 1 week and Yesterdays( Aug 6)  after coming back from out of town I see that the basement is flooded back again so I placed a call to champion plumbing on aug 6 at 3 pm to explain my issue. Gus said that it might be possible an issue with something in the house. He was nice and estimated that the cost would be around 850$ and would do camera check for free since I been shopping around for a plumber. I scheduled an emergency service to come today( Aug 7) at 8am. So this morning I am waiting at 8 am to see when a van would pull into my drive way. 15 min pass and I'm thinking maybe they just going to be a little late. Then 8:30 am come and I gave this company a call and it goes to voice mail saying that they are out the office. I call again at 8:35 am and left a message saying that we had an emergency service appointment and to call me back with my phone #. One hour pass and is now 9:35 a.m and still no show and no one even call me back on my phone or texted.  This is very unprofessional and what make it worse is that this was for an emergency service. I will no longer be using this company and will call someone else to come help me.

Gus responded to my call immediately and fixed our problem in a short period of time. This was unbelievable service

DC Water increased the water pressure to our house causing our hot water heater to blow the emergency release valve.

Gus and his team came out the next day on short notice, fixed the hot water heater, and also installed a pressure reducing valve at the water main's entry to my property which took care of the high water pressure in our home.

We were very impressed with their communication, professionalism, fair pricing, and quality of work!

I called champion once to use them to have my shower drain unclogged. They came out and handled that efficiently. Because it was easy. Called on them a second time for another property, different location they set up the appointment with me and then no call no showed. But when I called back from another phone number they answered. So if they're not feeling the job instead of them being a man and telling you that. They will just no call no show on you. It didn't matter that I took off work and hung out at the property for no reason. Super unprofessional and definitely not reliable!! I would not recommend these guys at all. Find a real plumber.

We needed a professional who could work w our old house plumbing. Fast, responsive, excellent work!

So, I rarely write reviews, but in this instance, I had to make an exception. We discovered a leak in the basement on a Thursday night in the utility room ceiling. It must have been going for a while based on the amount of water pooling on the floor.

After placing calls and leaving messages for scores of plumbers, we called Champion on Friday afternoon about 1:30pm. Many of the others could not schedule us for several days, did not service our area, or were not even in the office until next week. Gus answered the phone and said that Chris would be out between 3-5.  Chris arrived on the front side of that window, diagnosed our issue and source of the leak, and completed the repair within 30 - 45 minutes.

I can't say enough about these guys. Accessible. Timely. Professional. Clean. Efficient. Reasonably priced. I'll definitely be using them again.

I've used Champion for a few jobs and they do good work. I found them when I requested a quote through yelp. Tania responded immediately with a competitive quote and set up an appt immediately. However, later I had them work on a shower problem for me. I ordered the parts they requested, and then the owner Gus ghosted me. He stopped replying to my phone calls, texts, and messages through yelp. They couldn't have been too busy, because my neighbor called him, on a previous recommendation from me, and he sent someone the next day. After 3 weeks of trying, I changed to a different plumber. It also turned out the $100 part I bought the part wasn't the issue. I like to keep reviews positive, but I found the whole experience an odd one.

We needed our water heater replaced, so I reached out to Champion on Yelp. They were super responsive and even got on the phone with me to answer some questions I had. Gus was amazingly helpful, straightforward, and communicative. We got our water heater replaced in a day at a very fair price, and what was initially a stressful experience turned into a simple process.

We called Champion as a first time customer for a sewage backup in our main line 2 weeks ago. They charged $750 to snake it out and the plumber told us he snaked it 105 feet and the problem was resolved. Less than 48 hours later it backed up WAY worse than before he supposedly fixed the problem. When I called to ask them to come back I tried explaining what happened and was hung up on. Turns out the person who hung up on me was the OWNER of the company who wld only speak w my husband. I called back a few days later and the owner laughed when I complained that they hadn't done what they claimed to do and told me he'd see me in Court. Only after I told him I'm a lawyer did he suggest calling WSSC. He clearly has an issue w women, is a bully and is completely unprofessional. Oh and his plumber didn't do what he said he did. I would never use this business again!

When our washing machine and kitchen sink both stopped draining recently, we called Champion plumbing and they were able to get someone here in under an hour. Chris (the plumber who came) was very professional, explained everything that was going on, and had our drains going smoothly in no time. He stayed and ran the water for a good while after finishing the job just to make sure we wouldn't have any more problems, and he left everything as clean as he found it.

I also very much appreciated the transparency with regards to pricing. We were given a price over the phone and assured that we would not be charged any more than that price no matter what they had to do to clear the drain. In the end, they even knocked off $25 from that price because we were first-time customers. Overall, we were very happy with the service and will call Champions again if we have any future plumbing problems.

I've used Champion plumbing twice in the last few months. They were extremely well priced, but also very timely, knowledgeable, and professional.  Highly recommend.

Our stack pipe cracked, putting all our bathrooms out of commission for what was going to be a week due to scheduling with our usual plumbers.  Gus and his crew were able to get us fixed up the next day.  Their timeliness saved us what was going to be  a week of time spent in an AirBnB with a young child and a lot of stress, all at a very competitive cost.  We very much appreciate the timely help and will be in touch for future needs.

This Company is very real.  All the places I called last night that was suppose to be 24 hours wanted to schedule me for tomorrow.  Not one company I called would come out last night BUT Champion.  This is the company to go with Champion! he was very personal and cared about our situation.  He came out and fixed the problem and the price was excellent for what he did.  You can't go wrong with this company and I will use them again.  I Thank you Champion.

Had service scheduled between 2-4pm with Gus for a leak. He no showed and was unresponsive to texts/calls. Highly unprofessional. This was my 2nd experience with this company, the first one went well, but I will no longer be using them.

I highly recommend.  I've had a lot of experience with Champion plumbing in last couple of weeks as I have experienced three unrelated plumbing emergencies in less than two weeks.  

1- had a faucet that would not turn off and the shut off valves were stuck.  Champion plumber Jason came out promptly and on time.  Replaced faucet and valves.  I thought it was pricey but owner Gus took the time to explain quality of parts and warranty and pricing policies.  

2- I had backup in main drain, causing lots of problems- champion plumbing came out first thing next morning.  Plumber Jason came and owner Gus stopped by - that was just this morning but seems like week ago.  I still don't know how this back up happened but Jason brought some high powered equipment to clear it out.  Gus and Jason spent time explaining things to me, which I really appreciated.   He also put a camera down the line and again explained things to me and showed me some videos.  

3- shortly after jason departed, oh my goodness - another unrelated problem developed.  Water wasn't draining from utility sink and then the drain pipe BROKE!  Can you believe it.  Wow - I contacted Gus, the owner- he asked for a photo and we talked about different options for scheduling and he sent Jason to me that night!  So Jason shows up again.  He started the day with me first thing in morning and ended his day shortly before 9 pm at my house.

This is not my week for plumbing.  I'm almost afraid to turn on a faucet.  But I'm guessing I'll be good, hopefully for a while - fingers crossed.

But if I do develop another problem, I'll turn to Champion again.  They're really reliable and respectful and willing to engage with you and explain things.

Unreliable. I can't speak to the actual service. Quote seemed reasonable over the phone. The first time I scheduled an appointment, I followed up the day of (morning) and the owner cancelled on me when I called. He said he wasn't going to come that day because of snow. If I hadn't called, I doubt he would contact me. I would just be sitting around. However, it was snowing and I said it was fine to reschedule. We picked a different date. I was willing to work on his time. This as going to be a 3 hour job max. (Installing a dishwasher and updating a pipe for the washer).

The day of our rescheduled appointment, I was skeptical so I contacted him that morning to reconfirm. He didn't get back to me. Silence. Needless to say he didn't show up.

I know we are all busy. But if you schedule an appointment, I expect you to show. Or at least verbally cancel or not accept the job. I called a different plumber that day and got them to schedule AND come out in two days.

Gus was great. Fixed an issue a different plumber couldn't even find. Calling him again for a different issue!

Very grateful for Gus and his team. They performed emergency plumbing service at our new home and really saved us. I'd use them again for any plumbing service in the future. Highly recommended

Wow! Had a miscommunication with one of Gus's (the owner's) employees.
Have since deleted my comment. Gus's response?   He provided his personal cell phone number and, personally, came over that day to assess the problem. Turns out my kitchen sink leak was coming from my garbage disposal.  Again, that day, Gus arranged for 2 of his plumbers to come over and replace the disposal.

Gus and Chris were very helpful in diagnosing the cause of a water leak in our home. Prices are fair. Gus was very responsive to my calls and texts regarding issues throughout the repair process. I will use them again for any plumbing issues.

Great team. They replaced/updated bathroom fixtures in my condo. They were friendly, quick and clean. Their prices were extremely fair, and I paid what they quoted, there was no upsell.

This is one of the most (if not THE most) responsive plumbing companies I've ever dealt with. I called Champion in hopes that they would be able to help us with a sewage obstruction that we were encountering and they came on site within the hour. I've never experienced anything like it (and this was on a holiday weekend). As it turned out, this was county issue and not an issue with our home plumbing. We were offered all of the information we needed to have the obstruction removed and everything rectified. Overall great customer service - thank you, Champion!

I've only used them use once but it was a very positive experience.  Called them early Saturday morning, they came within an hour, quickly  identified and fixed the problem at a relatively reasonable price.  The guy (Jake) was masked, and he communicated well, and even gave me good advice (about something to keep my eye on regarding my boiler).

If you're curious, the issue was a leaky upstairs radiator which I didn't noticed 'til drops of water started coming through the kitchen ceiling.  Turns out it was worn-out bleed valve on the radiator. (And a broken bleed valve on a second radiator).  He replaced them promptly.

I would definitely call these folks again in a plumbing emergency.

We just bought a home and there were some time sensitive plumbing needs. We needed to have the inside home main water shutoff valve replaced, in addition to a leaky spigot out back. I called to make an appointment and Champion Plumbing was able to come out same day to review our issue and the following morning to resolve both of our plumbing issues. They worked efficiently and for a fair price. We'll definitely consider them again for future plumbing needs.

Called to see if they could scope a line after a shoddy contractor had accidentally put cement into our basement utility sink; unlike every other plumber we called, Gus was willing to come the next day. Although I know very little about plumbing, I thought that Gus was very honest and upfront with us about our situation and he did a thorough job. He sent one of his guys over the next week to install a new utility sink for us, and again, we were really happy with the service and now we can finally do laundry again. I like how, despite us both being women who clearly know nothing about plumbing, they both talked to us like we're intelligent adults and answered all our questions. They will definitely be my go-to plumber.

We needed a new water heater and Champion got it done for us on the same day we called. They were great about talking through our options and helping us figure out what we needed. Chris and Jason did a great job removing our old water heater (which was a challenge to drain since it was so busted), installing the new one, and answering my questions about it. We called them after having a hard time trying to work with a different company, and the experience with Champion was so refreshing after that. For same day service, Champion really comes though.

They replaced our water heater today and was in and out very fast. They were professional and  efficient which I really appreciated. I would highly recommend them!

Excellent emergency service.  Called early this morning with no hot water --needed the pilot light on our gas water heater relit.  Two hours later, everything was done, and the serviceman came from a substantial distance, 45 minutes away.  After many years of using Ben Franklin Plumbing, Champion will get our call from now on.  And BTW, thanks to other Yelp reviewers who used Champion and recommended it highly.

A chip clip went down the toilet causing a stoppage and we called Champion to come snake the line. Gus told us no problem--they would snake it from the top and if that didn't work they'd pull the toilet and snake it from the bottom and they'd get it out. They were able to come the next morning and did show up on time.

Things went downhill from there. Chris was surly from the moment he arrived and declared we needed a new toilet after he was unable to remove the clip from either direction. They charged $125 for basically detaching our toilet from the floor. When we asked what they would charge for a new toilet he quoted us $650 just for the toilet, which is crazy expensive. Gus said he would call me back and never did. Chris said they'd send a receipt and they never did. Just saying... We won't be using this company again.

Absolutely fantastic. Gus arrived on time (early actually!) and promptly fixed my kitchen sink issue. Could not ask for a better experience (especially after the previous plumber stood me up). Would recommend and would use again!

We discovered a leak coming from our ceiling on a Saturday. I called a bunch of plumbers I found on Yelp that said they were open or had emergency services, but Champion actually picked up the phone and was able to send a plumber out in a matter of hours. The owner of the company was the plumber who helped us, and he diagnosed our leak (pinhole leak in our copper pipe). He showed me the leak, told me what it would cost to fix it once he knew what he had to do, and was done within an hour. He also caulked around our toilet, which wasn't even related to the leak!  100% would hire Champion again.

Gus and Chris were quick, professional and courteous. We will be using Champion again for our future plumbing needs and would definitely recommend this company to friends, family, coworkers and strangers!

We found out about Champion Plumbing through Yelp. We reached out and received a response almost immediately. Gus and Jason showed up right at the beginning of the two hour window that we requested.

Both arrived wearing covid-conscious measures, masks and gloves, and even wore shoe coverings as to not damage our floors. Once here, they assessed our drain issue, explained why our drain had clogged, and handled it quickly and efficiently.

I will definitely not hesitate to reach out if we have any other issues!

For decades, my grandfather has rectified numerous home improvements in our DC rowhouse including painting, upholstery, kitchen and basement renovations, landscaping as well as plumbing and other repairs. Despite his advanced age, he has been insistent to try and continue making these repairs but many are now beyond his capabilities. When we needed a washer replaced on the kitchen sink faucet, it seemed like an easy task. Unfortunately it did not go smoothly and required intervention. I contacted our regular plumber first but they were unavailable for nearly a week! I researched several companies and decided to call Champion. I spoke with Gus and felt very much at ease. He was willing to send a technician the same day! I opted to wait until the following day and I'm glad I did...a pinhole leak opened up in a pipe in our basement bathroom later that evening! Jason arrived the next morning and made all the repairs. However, it turns out I also needed to replace the kitchen faucet - it was installed in 1985! I purchased a new Delta faucet and contacted Champion for the install. Once again, Jason arrived and quickly completed the job.
I now have Champion Plumbing on speed dial. OUTSTANDING WORK & RESPONSE TIME!!

We had a pretty bad leak that needed emergency repair. I called Champion and got an immediate response.  The guys came out shortly thereafter. They quickly identified the issue, got the equipment downstairs and went to work. They fixed the issue very quickly. Importantly, they also walked through why there was no additional need for other work.

It is common for an emergency visit to have at least one attempted up-sell, since homeowners are often panicked and willing to do whatever. These guys not only avoided that, but also walked through how other commonly recommended solutions would not work in our scenario.

In all, we were very happy with the work, the service, and the approach. Would highly recommend.

Really fast and responsive local company. When we had our bathroom tile redone, Champion sent two techs on the same day to help reinstall our toilets. They were skilled, quick, friendly and helpful. Definitely recommended.

My kitchen sink was badly clogged. I love fixing things myself but my plunger didn't do the work nor a 25ft long powered snake that I had rented from Home Depot.
I had previously contacted a different plumber who didn't end up showing up for two days in a row and I was beyond impressed when Gus knocked on our door on a Friday evening within 90 minutes from the time I first messaged him on Yelp.
Did Gus fix the kitchen sink? Yes. Was he in and out in less than an hour? Yes. Did we learn a couple of plumbing faqs from a plumber with a 20 year experience? Absolutely.

Came back the same day when we discovered another leak. Quick, efficient service and reasonable prices. Very easy to get in contact with and quick to solve our problem. Will be calling them for any future plumbing needs.

3 stars for quick response initially and coming to my home the same day. I payed fee to fix the problem. Followed instructions that were given. The problem was not fixed and is persistent. I called back maybe 1 week 1/2 later to see if it could be reassessed. Left a message but call was not returned. Overall good for same day service but poor follow up response.

We just moved to the area and needed a reliable plumber, and after reading the reviews, we decided to go with Champion. Their reviews are true to their service, they are reliable, honest and handy! Jason was friendly and easily fixed our issue. He also gave us great advice. Gus was easy to work with and professional. We will always use Champion!

The team did a great job fixing both an existing leak (they came within a couple of hours) and replacing my house water shutoff valve that had outlived its utility. Very responsive, professional, courteous and efficient.  Highly recommended!

I had a bathtub faucet that was dripping and I tried to fix it myself without success. Jason got to my place exactly according to schedule. After asking me to describe the problem, he went directly to work. After a short time he had diagnosed the problem with the replacement parts I had purchased and put everything back together as it should have been. No more dripping, no leaks, perfect! And the charge was less than another company (which also could not come soon) had quoted me.

Jason was the technician. He was able to solve our noisy running toilet issue quickly and thoroughly. He also did a great job explaining what he was fixing. We had a main sewer backup suddenly and Gus was able to have someone out within a couple hours to help (and even offered to rearrange their schedule to come right away, which we fortunately didn't need). When the problem turned out to be unfortunately complex, Gus was knowledgeable about likely root causes, DC infrastructure, and lodged a report with the city on our behalf to get the next step moving. He also followed up with them directly until they came to investigate and ultimately solve, rather than just rushing us to use his company for all the work (which was extensive).

Highly recommend. We had main line clog issue in the morning. They were super responsive and a plumber was at our home quickly (2 hours). He was a complete pro and cleaned up everything. Gave us some guidance on checking with the city on the issue as well. Will use again for sure. Thank you.

I was a little apprehensive because they didn't have as many reviews as other companies, but the reviews that they did have were mostly stellar so I decided to give them a go.  We had backup coming up from the basement shower drain, under the basement toilet and from the drain outside the basement.

they came and i pointed out the problem areas and asked if all three areas needed to be snaked, but they said that they all lead to the same pipe so that there was no need to look at each drain and that it wouldn't be a problem.  They snaked the toilet and quickly found and cleared the clog and snaked further for good measure.

After they left, i hosed the deck over the backed up outdoor drain and found that the drain was covered in a pool of water when I looked returned to it a half hour later.  So, I called Gus and explained the problem and he immediately said that he would send the team that had worked on my back to my house after they had finished up working at their current location.  Lo and behold, they returned an hour or two later and took care of the issue!  All with a great attitude and devoting a substantial amount of time to it.  I would give them 4 and a half stars, 5 if they had looked at the outdoor drain while they were here the first time.  I will definitely be using them again for future needs!

We discovered water dripping from the ceiling and needed help quickly.  I had not used Champion before but saw the excellent reviews on Yelp and decided to give them a try since the plumber I usually use couldn't make it for several days.  I actually got a live person on the phone without the annoying our menu may have changed nonsense.  I was told they could have someone stop by within two hours.  The plumber actually arrived in little more than an hour.  He quickly diagnosed the problem, worked up a quote which was very reasonable, and went to work fixing the leak.  He was done in an hour or less.  The final bill was actually a bit less than the quote and I was advised that the repair came with a 3 year guarantee. I was thrilled to get such fast, high quality service at a very fair price.  Champion is now my go to plumber..

My experience with Champion was excellent.  I needed two new toilets put in and Gus was immediately responsive and sent out his workers right away.  The work was completed quickly and efficiently and the price was beyond reasonable.  I can't recommend this business highly enough.  If you're reading reviews to find a plumber, save yourself the trouble and call these guys.  I'm certain you'll have a good experience.

First time in my life with a main sewer backup. Had no clue what to do but call my neighborhood friendly plumber.  As a Realtor I have referred Champion to my clients and they all have been quite pleased however this is the first time I needed them and man o man I am beyond impressed! The issue hit last night around 7pm and almost an hour later they arrived. Talk about quick! From the first phone call with Gus to when Jake arrived it all went great! I felt comfortable in asking questions and even learned more about plumbing! The job was scheduled for the 27th between 8 and 9 am.  On the assigned day, no technician had arrived by 9:30, I called them - Gus stated he would call me back in 10 minutes.  I received no call from either Gus or the technician,  At 10:40 I emailed Gus stating that I had not heard from anyone and when would someone be arriving? He claims that the technician had been attempting to call me, but I never answered - funny I have no missed calls on my phone.  15 minutes later, the technician calls telling me he started late and had property managers to deal with first and could be at my home by 1:00 pm.  Not happy, but fine, lets just get this done!

The technician arrived at 12:30, spent 15 minutes looking around the property and shows me his quote for $750.00.

So not only was Champion 3 and a half hours late, they more than doubled the agreed price.

I cannot say how their work product is, because I declined the service. If the owner is going to give a price and then double it I cannot believe that he would stand behind his work. I would avoid at all costs or the price you are given will double when they come to your home. Additionally, I asked the technician who claimed to have been calling me and getting voicemail all morning to show me the unanswered calls - he refused. I wouldn't trust this company with anything.

We had an emergency problem where water was appearing in our basement, and it looked like a main sewer backup.  We had this problem before just had a few months prior. So on a Saturday morning (my birthday no less) I sent out a frantic yelp cry to a couple businesses. Gus responses within minutes before  10am on a Saturday. He responded that because this had happened before, it was time to put a camera down to see what was going on. This was great! I like people who are trying to solve the problem instead of dealing with the symptom. I told him it was my birthday and asked if there was any way we could get a window of time so we wouldn't have to be home all day waiting (which I would have dealt with because it was all so last minute). Minutes later he tells me he has  people on the way already! He also pointed me to his website where there were coupons. What kind of company points you to their own coupons? Great ones? Less than two hours after the initial message, we had folks in our house.

To top it off, they identified the problem for us. It wasn't a clog in the drain, but we had more serious issues and took the time to explain it. He showed me the issue on the camera and he even offered to put 50% of our payment from that day's service towards the much more costly repairs which we have to do to fix the pipe.

In sum, incredibly professional, very friendly and kind guys to work with that we will use exclusively now for all our plumbing needs.

Gustavo and his team are world class!  They were responsible, helpful and good stewards of our budget. Very reasonable, and I would highly recommend them!

Having returned from a weekend away to the smell of gas in our house, we called the gas company who came quickly to confirm there must be a leak in our pipes, shut the line off, and told us to call a plumber to help us get heat/hot water back in the middle of the cold winter Saturday. I saw that Champion offers emergency weekend service, and really prefer going with someone small and local over the poorly reviewed huge companies. Champion was really friendly and responsive and had someone at the house in under an hour. They were professional and knowledgeable and got us back up and running that day, with a plan to come back for a complete repair during the week. They even took the fee for the emergency visit out of the cost of the ultimate repair as a kindness. Overall it was a great experience on what would have otherwise been a very stressful day. Only at the end of the visit did I realize I had been dealing with the company owner the whole time! Great experience and great company!

I had a breaker that tripped constantly for the water heater. The owner recommended I replace the water heater because it was old so we did. They showed up wearing masks but took them off while working.  They told me if it trips again I should call an electrician. A little while after they left, the breaker tripped again.  I called an electrician that fixed it in about 5 minutes.

In hindsight, I should have asked him to test out the water heater first before going with his suggestion.  They were polite and friendly but I would have preferred if they suggested alternative solutions before jumping to the most expensive one.

Called on a Friday morning with a minor drainage issue and they were able to fit me in on short notice the same day. Two other places had stated they were fully booked (I think with quarantine restrictions easing more people are trying to take care of issues they may have put off). Very grateful for the quick response and flexibility.

We had Champion come out to fix a major plumbing issue in our new house where literally every sink and shower drain was stopped up, leaking, or both. A plumber from another company had come prior to Champion, did something in our kitchen, and there was suddenly sewage everywhere - he told us we had a catastrophe on our hands with sewage under the house and a nightmare on our hands to fix, we couldn't use the bathrooms or showers upstairs until further notice, and we possibly had to vacate the house indefinitely. Nothing was resolved, and for our family of five with small children, this was shaping up to be a disaster of Biblical proportions.

Opting for a second opinion, we called Champion and Keith and his assistant came, spent a few hours investigating, snaking, draining, and repairing, and afterwards EVERYTHING was fixed, there was no sewage issue (the previous plumber was either too lazy to do the job right or was trying to quote us unnecessary repairs), and he explained everything to us plainly so we could understand. He was so friendly, easy going, and provided a ton of honest information. Thank you Keith, and thank you Champion!

We had a great experience with Champion when they fixed our emergency leak situation within a couple hours. Gus the owner was friendly, quick to respond, arrived on time, had the parts needed, wore a mask, did the fix quickly, left everything clean, and charged exactly what he quoted over the phone. Hopefully we won't have another urgent problem but if we do we'll definitely call Gus again.

My water heater started leaking and I needed to find a plumber who could do the repair and provide the documentation requested by my insurance company. One plumber came to do the repair and was not understanding the need for the insurance documentation. They wasted a whole day trying to locate a new water heater. Thankfully, even at the end of the business day, Gus answered my call and dispatched Jason to replace the water heater that same evening. These guys are very professional, the work quality and speed is excellent and I highly recommend their service.

It's not often I write a beyond glowing review about my experience with a plumbing company as we've had more than our share of disastrous encounters but Gus and his crew went so far beyond the call of duty in replacing our water heater that they are now our go to company for all plumbing issues.  From the beginning Gus, the owner, was extraordinarily patient as I bombarded him with what were surely an annoying barrage of technical questions regarding water heaters and what might work best for our family.  Gus' insight was extremely valuable and he recommended the most cost effective solution despite ample opportunity to push more expensive models.  More importantly, he accommodated our request to use a different, larger BTU unit than he recommended and even offered us the same price as his other smaller recommendation.  Our excellent experience carried over to the day of installation when they discovered a large dent in the water heater.  They immediately took ownership over the issue, going so far as to drive to several far away locations to obtain replacements.  I say replacements (plural) because they actually had to go to multiple locations as they discovered dents in other units as well.  Despite the setbacks Gus and his crew were extraordinarily positive, issued no complaints, and quite frankly were a lot of fun to talk to and work with.  They went to the ends of the earth to make sure we didn't have to go a night without hot water and for that we are immensely grateful.  I am certain, based on past experience, not all companies would have gone to those lengths.  Book these guys with confidence, they're awesome.

Excellent experience start to finish! They replied quickly to my request, set up an appointment that was convenient for me, and Gus arrived right on time. He took a look, explained what might be wrong, and offered to try to repair the disposal instead of replace it - that saved me a bunch of money, and was fast too. We had been experiencing numerous sewage backups over the last month, and this was the first plumber to properly diagnose that we had a broken sewer line rather than just throwing a snake in the line and calling it done like the others had done.  We spoke with Gus, who is a great communicator by the way, and he was able to set up the work in 48 hours, which was super appreciated since I had been using an airsnake almost daily at that point so that both us and our tenants weren't experiencing backups.  Jason came both times, and his hard work on this to get everything squared away is something you don't always see these days, and is extremely appreciated.  He kept me up to date, showed me what he was doing, and was able to repair our sewer in a day.  These guys will be my go-to plumber now--their prices are fair, they show up when they say they will, they work hard, and they aren't afraid to get a little dirty.  I have nothing but good things to say about my experience with them.  Thank you Gus and Jason!

This will sound like a fake review. It's not. I have honestly never worked with any contractor who so consistently exceeds expectations in response time, communication and pricing. Gus and his team never say no and bring an amazingly positive attitude to every job. I don't know when they sleep. They will work until all hours on a job and still patiently explain any challenges and how best to address it. I have sent over 200 jobs to Champion Plumbing (interior and exterior drains, clogs, leaks, faucets, appliance issues, gas line issues, water heaters, sump pumps, shower rebuilds, etc.) and never been disappointed. Call them. You won't be either.

Pressure valve broke on a Sunday night. Called Champion and they picked right up!  Told me what to do to keep my basement from flooding. They offered to come out that night but since things were stable, I suggested they come the next morning. They arrived right on time and completely fixed the problem. Both guys wore masks and were very professional. I'll definitely use them again!

I contacted Mr.Gus via yelp quote request and followed up with a phone conversation. Mr.Gus displayed professionalism and knowledge throughout the conversation.  He took his time to explain as well as suggest with the issue at hand. I provided pictures of work needed that entailed needing valves replaced / new shower diverter installed/unclog sink i am thoroughly pleased with price given which beats some of the well known companies.

It was after business hours on a Thursday, and I needed a plumber to stop a bathtub hot water faucet that wouldn't stop running. Gus said he could do it. He would stop the water running that night, and fix it the next day. Before he showed up, the tenant got the water stopped. The next day, Gus wanted to replace the whole faucet and he wanted the money up front, both because I was a new customer, and also because I was not going to be present for the job. I balked at paying up front, but after some negotiating, we reached a satisfactory agreement. Long story short, he ended up making a simple adjustment to fix the problem, and because he was in the neighborhood anyway, he didn't charge me a dime.  What a guy! He is definitely going to be my go-to guy for any future plumbing problems.

Just had them out to fix a clogged sewage drain leading to my septic tank.  Worked out great.  Spoke to Gus (the owner) in the morning, and the guys (Chuck and Quasi) were at my house at 10am (as requested by me) same day. Ie. They were punctual!  They were great to work with as well. Professional and courteous. And most importantly they fixed the problem in a timely fashion and cleaned up after themselves.  Can't ask for much more than that.

He responded quickly to our ejector pump failure when the previous plumber we were sent by our warranty company was a no show after he left to get supplies. The incident occurred on Tuesday. We waited the entire day for the previous plumber to return to begin work on the pump.
