I met Jeff as a neighbor and when I found myself in need of an electrical contractor to pull permits and bring some work up to code for a kitchen and bathroom remodel, Jeff was able to help me out without any issues.

I understand he can be fairly busy (he's only one guy after all) but if he can do the work in the timeframe you need it done, his attention to detail and encyclopedic knowledge of the minutae of the electrical codes is well worth it -- both in the execution and in the all-important event of dealing with the inspector.

I will be using Jeff until he finally decides to hang up his wire strippers.

The person who answered the phone was amazing.  I wanted a service call for an outlet for  a garbage disposal  that wasn't working.

My diagnosis was that I needed a new circuit breaker.  I thought I had reset it properly, but I hadn't.  He asked me a few questions to diagnose the problem.  Then, he  talked me through the proper method of resetting the breaker. Problem solved!

I called back a few minutes later with a second question with that outlet. He analyzed that and gave me directions to resolve it too.

I had called two other companies first. One never called back, and the other said two weeks to come out.  If I have any electrical issues in the future, I will call Ideal Electric and recommend him to my friends.

Since there was no charge, I'm happy to write a glowing review in appreciation.

Peter was great.  He gave an estimate and did the job a few days later for exactly what he quoted.  His work is very old school.  He is clean, meticulous and manages the best scenario for the job you need done.  He does not take any short cuts.  I am very pleased with his work and would definitely hire him again.

I needed some electrical work done around the house & these guys were seriously helpful. They provided some quick & easy work around the place with no problems what so ever. I needed an electrical outlet installed in my bathroom so I could install a new Toto toilet. I called Juan and he came out a few days later. He wasn't sure how complicated the job would be until he saw the actual layout and where the electrical sources were located. After looking at all the options he was able to install an electrical outlet through another outlet in the adjacent room. He didn't have to make any holes in the walls and the everything was done very quickly. Juan is a super nice and honest electrician, I will definitely be using JMC Electrical for any future jobs.

Hired Oscar for a job to install a new vent fan in my downstairs bathroom. It seems he just dropped the job after initially providing a quote. There was no follow up, despite my wife and I continually reaching out to him via phone and email. I thought he would be reliable based upon the other Yelp reviews and he was definitely not. I am searching for another handyman now to complete this job. I was not impressed with Oscar at all.

A great experience, from an extremely helpful person taking my call to the electrician who showed up ON TIME at 8:00 AM on a Monday morning. (I'm always prepared for all service organizations to act like the cable company, with no regard to YOUR time. Not so in this case.) I had three minor problems, all which were handled quickly, with ease and understanding and I wasn't charged for parts or labor, just the standard hour of service. (The minimum price referred to elsewhere here.) I know that if I need another electrician, I'll be calling Wells Electrical.

After a lot of frustration with many different electricians I finally found Four Square Electric and I can't say enough good things about Noah and the excellent work he has done on all the jobs I've thrown at him.

First he fixed our existing electrical box which was giving us issues all around the house (bulbs flickering, appliances losing power, etc) he was the only one that correctly diagnosed the problem and fixed it after many electricians just gave us band-aid fixes and problems would reappear quickly. He also did a fantastic job installing a Tesla Charger which was a fairly big job since it involved installing new wiring and conduits from the electrical box on our deck all the way to our detached garage.

Recently he installed brand new circuits for a sum pump and dehumidifier we had installed on our crawl space. Again completing the job very quickly and professionally and leaving everything looking and working great.

Called for some changes to the outside of the house, an extra outlet and moving the hookup for the condenser unit to a new location.

Danny came out for the quote, and was very friendly and receptive. He called in a colleague after I accepted the quote, and they did a quality job in an efficient and neat matter. Needed help diagnosing electrical problems in a house built circa 1972, Mr. Steinberg provided it. He's generous with time, and was clear about what he knew, and what he needed to get information about. That's rare and valuable. He followed up with the info, and provided instructions that led to a low-cost, effecient solution. A swell guy who deserves credit.

Just want thank Paul for the quick work. We needed a couple dimmer switches installed and our old Victorian is just that...old. He got into the first and most difficult one to find some ancient wiring. Definitely not a job for an amateur.
He got everything done efficiently and double checked all the circuits and connections. He even fixed a light he noticed was out of alignment. Our dog Piper really liked him too.

Paul is absolutely a pleasure to work with.  He is punctual, responsive, knowledgeable, efficient, and courteous.  He came the same day that I called him to take a look at my house and my car charger was installed the following week.  He and his crew were in and out and left the place in perfect condition.  No hassels at all!

Here is the whole story:

I recently purchased a Tesla and two employees at the Walnut Creek dealer where I purchased it gave me one referral.  They insisted he was the guy to use.  He probably would have done a fine job, but he definitely had some attitude and his estimate was 50% higher.  I would have probably just gone with, not knowing any better and not knowing that more than one guy in the bay area might know how to install Tesla NEMA 15-40 outlets.

However, I recalled that my friend recently purchased an electric vehicle as well and they told me they used someone else.  They highy recommended Paul, and referred to him as the super nice Dutch guy and followed up by saying you have to use him!

Indeed they were right.  If I have any electrical issues in the future, Paul is going to be my go to contractor!

We were in need of some rewiring in the attic ahead of a HVAC installation. Brian was quick to respond to a general quote request through Yelp and came out a couple of days later to give a more comprehensive quote. He thoroughly explained the work that needed to be done and gave us a cost-competitive quote (compared to 3-4 other companies). He also highlighted another issue with the electrical in the attic (a potential fire hazard) and included a fix to this problem in his quote. When he returned on the day of the HVAC installation we realized that there had been some miscommunication in the original quote as the job at hand was actually larger than anticipated. Brian was however very flexible and gave us a sharply discounted price on the spot for the additional work that was needed. We very generally very happy with Brian's work and the HVAC contractor also told us it had been a pleasure to work with Brian.

Inder and his crew are pros who know their stuff.

We hired them to replace our main panel and interior subpanel, install an EV charger, and debug a number of issues in our house with crazy wiring.

Inder made great pragmatic recommendations along the way, always optimizing for safety and getting us the most value from the work being done, knowing that electrical work can be expensive. When you're around Inder you can hear him coaching people on his team about problem solving, and figuring out how to work around the obstacles that any old house has.

They coordinated well with PG&E and the City of Oakland, the crew is knowledgeable and friendly, and we were really happy with the work they did.

Strong recommendation, especially if you have a house with older wiring or weird stuff that needs debugging without ripping apart the house.

Josh Frost is professional, friendly, integrous, prompt, and knowledgeable. I live in an older building in need of wiring and outlet upgrades. Josh didn't waste time, or try slip things in that I didn't need; he made appropriate, cost-effective recommendations based on exactly what I did need. His rates are reasonable, and he addressed my concerns and questions with aplomb and validation. Highly recommend!

We had a lot of little projects that needed to get done. Ranging from installing a ceiling fan to putting up our base boards. They did a great job! Very professional. They take pride in what they do and it shows in the work. Highly recommend this team.

What appeared to be a very simple job to the naked eye turned out to be a rather complicated ordeal. We had a short time frame to install 220V outlets for our new copiers and after many dead ends Todor was the first person who said they could stop by for the estimate that very day.

He was able to work around our office schedule, provided innovative solutions to some structural difficulties, and was friendly to work with. He was very considerate and detailed in his explanations of electrical terms that I don't particularly understand.

In the end, we met the deadline for installation of the new copiers and everything is working fine.
