Just over a year ago I had Boyes come out to assess a problem with some string lighting in my condo I was preparing to sell. Yes, I should've written this review a long time ago.
Their communication was responsive and extremely patient. We ultimately decided to remove the string lighting and replace with a more simplified track lighting option, and the result was better than I could have hoped for. wished I had completely the improvement much sooner, so I could enjoy it longer. But, it was Boyes' ability to explain the problem and provide solutions with ing the parameters I was looking for that brought us to the improved outcome. Without that high-level customer service that made me feel like I was their only customer the resulting product would have been lacking.
A year later, and I am have been working with Borin on a whole range of projects for my new 1972 home. Once again, I feel like I'm their only customer.
I am so thankful for Borin and his team!

I waited a year to write this review because I was very mad at the time and wanted to cool down. -Still mad.. I should have read the negative review on Yelp, since I can identify with most of them. There are many examples of maleficence, I am just going to list a couple here. First the travel time, they charged me 1/2 an hour each time they showed up. This was with a crew of three, about $140 each day that went to pay for them sitting in a car for a 18 min commute. They seemed to have no schedule as to when they would show up. They showed up the first 3 days, then maybe once a week after that, we never knew when they would show up. When we would call them up and ask why the crew was not here, the excuse was always that they had an emergency to deal with and they apparently had a lot of those. They also did a lot of work I did not ask for. For example I asked them to cut the electrical wires for a part of our house we were demolishing, then they spent all day removing all the wires in that location, even though I made it quite clear room was being demolished and to cut the wires only. We ended up firing Sid, and having to hire a 2nd electrician to finish the job. I would not recommend. They also made holes way bigger than they needed too, since I was the one patching them.

We called Carlos after deciding that our organization's conference room needed better lighting. He came to our offices and made a detailed assessment, and then came back, right at the time we'd scheduled, to install new fluorescent fixtures. We have a fairly old building, and the installation was not a simple task. Carlos did an incredibly efficient, professional job, and thanks to him, we have a space that is worth calling a conference room!

I've used Di Luzio Inc. many times in the past for my business. They have done an amazing job lighting my work space, and have always been reliable and punctual. I would highly recommend them!

Julio gave us a very reasonable quote. When the scope of work was significantly more than he anticipated, he did not charge us more and stuck to his original quote.

Highly recommend Charles! I called him at 9am on New Years eve, he came out the same day. He is honest and professional. He was on time and very knowledgable!
He not only fixed, replaced and cleaned my outlet. He had suggestions to my future plans on remodeling as it pertained to electrical work.
I am calling him again soon! Thanks Charles!!

RB Electric is a wonderful family electrical business - hire them!
My husband and I are remodeling our kitchen and we needed all new electrical. Our house is very old, from 1926 so it's cloth and tube.
We spoke with several companies and decided to go with RB Electic. The owner, Rigo, came out and walked us through what we needed. He is a pleasure to work with - clearly an expert at his craft and eager to provide a really good experience for us. We found his prices to be reasonable given the complexity of the work.
Rigo and his crew showed up on time and were ready to get started. Our job took an entire day and he had all of the materials (boxes, switches, etc) ready to go with him. They removed all of the old electrical and replaced it with new wiring and the correct boxes for the oven and fan hood. They worked very hard all day long and ask me a few questions along the way to make sure it was exactly what I wanted.
I've dealt with a lot of contractors over the years. Rigo and his crew are by far the best electricians I've ever worked with and we'll be hiring them again in the future. I highly recommend getting a quote from RB Electric and considering them for your electrical needs.

Len and Marin SF electric did a great job.
We had a 200amp panel installed along with some ancillary electrical work.
They were responsive, thorough and made the process easy for us.
Highly recommend and we'll use again!

They helped me fix my electricity circuit and installed the Sensor lights for my patio. Super friendly and easy to work with.

Michael came to my home to give me an estimate on changing out all of the electrical outlets in my home, recess lights, and outside security lights. He was very friendly but more importantly he is professional and knowledgable in his field. These days it is hard to find these three qualities in a person. I am very happy with his work. He also stands by his word. I thought something was wrong with one of the outlets, turns out it was my fault, he had no problem returning and checking out that problem to make sure my home was safe. I will be using Michael as my electrician. Helen Robinson

Made an appointment with him to give me a quote but he never showed up and never called to cancel. Waste of time.

We've had a lot of vendors in our house over the past year and Victor and Nico were by far some of the most professional. Not only did they arrive at the scheduled time (so rare these days) but they did a really great and through job throughout the whole project (run wiring for ceiling pendants/wall sconces, rerouting electrical for switches, etc). Victor was very communicative about what he was doing. It's clear he takes pride in his work and it shows in his attention to detail. Safety is clearly paramount and it shows. Highly recommend this team!

We had an issue with our main breaker. Tony was quick to respond and resolved our issue same day. He was easy to work with, to the point and very professional. I recommend AMG Electric if you are in their service area. We will definitely be reaching out to them for all future electrical issues. Thanks Tony, you are awesome!

Awesome job by Phil's Electric!
I had a small lamp that had a faulty switch for some time. Oops by me in using a light bulb that exceeded the wattage of the lamp. That short-circuit and puff of smoke was a sign to get it fixed!
Phil's Electric to the rescue.
I dropped it off; they gave me a rough estimate. When I called back on the day they said it would be done, it was ready for pick up!
What a relief to get my lamp back. I'd been dwelling in the dark for sometime :(
Now I have my two Phil's fixed lamps for use.
Hurrah for Phil's! A great family owned and operated small business. They don't make repair shops like these any more. Established in 1941!!!

I called Martin Electric on a Friday morning after finding out the light in my main bathroom isn't turning on and some outlets in my 2nd bedroom stopped working. After doing some troubleshooting and some googling, I've realized it was my GFCI outlet tripping. I went on Yelp (ofcourse) to find an electrician that is available to come in and also reasonable price. I called 3 businesses and Martin was the one who can come in and sounded nice on the phone. The scheduling was also very seamless.
At the day of the appointment, Martin and his associate came on time! They were very polite and pleasant. I showed them the outlets that were tripping and explained what was happening. After about 30ish minutes - Martin and his associate finished fixing the problem. He explained to me what was wrong and how he fixed it. We tried the lights and outlets and everything works!! Martin also offered that if anything comes up again to give him a call - which was very generous!
I super recommend Martin because he's knowledgeable, pleasant and the price is very reasonable. I would definitely do business w Martin Electric again if I needed some electric work.
Thanks Martin & associate!!

Dave from Blue Line Electric is what you could call a thoughtful electrician. He explains things. He checks out what he's done. For instance, when he fixed the electric outlet that ran some landscape lights, he didn't just check that the outlet itself worked, but he went down the line and checked the lights themselves, making additional fixes. I got an electrical education just listening to him. High recommendation.

Jose called me in a very reasonable amount of time, said he'd come to the house after he finished the job he was on. It took a bit longer than he expected, but he called and came to check out our breaker issues, found the problem very quickly and fixed the problem. He double checked the issue to be sure it was right. I highly recommend him.

Jason from Oak Electric did an excellent job of overhauling our electrical in our new home in Portola Valley. Upgraded our electrical panel, distribution box, and updated all the sockets and switches as well as installing roughly 30 canned lights throughout the home along with several other lighting updates. From the beginning Jason was professional and personable and provided a very competitive quote for all that work and frankly was a joy to work with. He even handled a few miscellaneous items that i threw his way for no extra charge. We will be using Oak Electric in the future for our needs and I would recommend you do as well.

Lumiere has done two small residential jobs for us and we have been very happy with the service and results. Martin installed a ceiling fan in apartment where the ceilings are 18 feet high - not the easiest job. He patiently and carefully completed the work. At the end of the job, we appreciated that Martin spent the extra time positioning weights on the fan blades to remove any noticeable wobble. Martin also recently installed LED recessed lighting for us, replacing old compact fluorescents. We are really happy with his work. Again, he took the extra time to position the recessed lights so they fit flush. One didn't fit and there was a gap so Martin filled the hole in with spackle. Overall, the work Lumiere completed has been excellent. Martin is personable and provides recommendations when asked for it. You can't go wrong with these guys.
