Found Rodney through Service Magic. He responded on the weekend by email and setup an appointment for the following Monday.
He was timely, competent and professional. Did the job (installing an additional outlet in the garage) quickly and at the price promised.
A+ as far as I'm concerned.

I had this Tizio lamp that had been broken for awhile. Not sure where to take it for repair until I decided to call DWR to ask about repair services and they gave me the phone number to call Light For You.
With slight apprehension I called the number and Mike (aka Michael) answered the phone. He asked me if I knew what was wrong with it and I told him that it just didn't work when I tried to turn it on; not sure if it was the light bulb, the transformer, or something else was the problem.
I proceeded to ask Mike for an estimate. He said that if it was a problem with the transformer then it would be couple of hundred since the whole base need to be replaced; else the cost would be under $100. I thought that was quite fair since I considered the Tizio to be a very good lamp and it would not hurt to have it checked out.
Mike is really nice on the phone and was very patient in giving directions to his shop. Since it was a long way to San Francisco, I thought of checking Yelp for reviews. The positive reviews gave me the needed confidence to plan a stop at Light For You on my trip to San Francisco.
When it comes to repairs, I judge them on the following 3 criteria:
1. Quality of work:
When Mike turned the switch on the lamp, it worked! WTH, I was scratching my head wondering why it didn't work at home... feeling a little foolish... and wondered if I should make a quick exit (since it seemed to work) or hang around and have a thorough check done on it.
Mike said to leave it on for awhile to see if it would continue to work and also do a thorough check. Upon close visual inspection (he knows where to look for problems), we found that there was a crack in one of the connector's insulation cap which was the culprit. To make sure it would work at home, I should really fix it. I then left the lamp with Mike to work on and went to the Greenhouse Cafe across the street (which is a really neat joint and has good coffee).
2. Price:
Very fair and the final cost was under $50 (even less than the estimate) which made me happy. And as another reviewer mentioned, Mike also offered me quarters to feed the parking meter.
3. Customer service:
Mike is very knowledgeable on Tizio lamps and he patiently explained the mechanics of the lamp to me. Showed me how to take it apart and put it back together and most importantly, how to handle/carry it - by that time, I realized that I had mishandled the lamp and was responsible for breaking it (carried it incorrectly and put stress on the connector, duh). Note to self, always carry it by its base gingerly and with both hands. Mike was also kind enough to help carry the lamp to my car.
Conclusion:
Light For You is as good as it gets. Mike is professional and friendly, and has definitely gained my trust for future business and referrals. Oh, it was really neat that he has no idea that he is getting good reviews on Yelp. He told me that he works with his hand and has no idea about computers, it was fun to see his reaction when I used my phone to show and read him the Yelp reviews.

Thanks for the big hole you left in my bedroom wall when you installed the panel for my hot tub. Very complete work....

This is a long overdue review for Adam's team who did a wonderful job on my house. I originally contacted Adam to just upgrade our main panel and replace our subpanel due to shoddy work done by the original home owner. After some digging around, we realized that a full rewire of the house was going to be needed. Given the last minute need for a rewire and the large scope of such a project, Adam really worked with us to get us what we needed within our allowed budget which I really appreciated. His team did a great job and was able to complete the full rewire of the house within a week and with minor cuts into the drywall minimizing the amount of repair that was going to be needed. The before and after of our subpanel was like night and day. I am really happy with the the work that Adam's team did and have every intention of using them again in the near future for other projects.

I don't think I have worked with another company that made such a great impression! From start to finish everything was top notch. Reyna, Frances, Justin, David, William and Mark, you all rock.
I especially appreciated the texts that a technician is on there way which included a picture.
Every worker took great care in protecting our home.
It was hot and the work was grueling but they remained positive.
Everyone was professional. If we would give more stars we would.

Ross was super responsive, reasonably priced and knows his stuff! Will definitely check with him first the next time I need an electrician.

Mario installed an outdoor outlet to a new irrigation timer for us. He was easy to communicate with, arrived on time, and explained all the options we had for how the work could be done. I highly recommend.

I found Bay Electric and Kevin on the Tesla website as an suggested service provider. I was quoted $1200 to install the wall charger (not including the charger itself). Upon getting to the property, I was told that my main was full so I would have to relocate some breakers to install a sub. No matter -- I wanted the charger in. Fortunately, there was a small subpanel in the truck so we could complete the job right there and then. The total cost came out to $2000.
While the price seemed pretty reasonable up front, it conveniently did not include a permit. Moreover upon putting in my solar a few months later, DBI said I needed to re-wire from the main to the sub because Bay Electric had put in the wrong gauge. So long story short, that was another couple hundred to a different electrician and another day that I had to stay home at work. Overall the work was fine and came in at a lower cost for quotes but this shouldn't be difficult to any (licensed) electrician to perform.

I was referring to a different company Vital energy. Valiant so the negative review and we're all over it. Glad they corrected me.

Lights went out in my house and we tried all the breakers.. only one outlet worked after that. Gave Richard a call and he talked me through it. We were able to fix the problem in 10 minutes! The power was out longer than that.
Thanks again so much Richard!

At my home, Darren completed extensive electrical work. Specifically, he installed a 220 and multiple GFCIs, rewired outlets, performed comprehensive repairs on the main breaker, and finished many other tasks. Throughout this period, he maintained a professional, trustworthy, and courteous demeanor. He shared information with me that saved me a significant amount of money, especially relative to what I heard from other electricians. As a last note, he is a licensed electrician and certainly knows his field.

I managed to blow the power to my backyard work studio on a Friday night. Kirk came out within two hours of my call on a Saturday morning, was friendly and helpful, and didn't laugh at me for not knowing how to reset the breaker. The discount for mentioning Yelp was nice, too! I would call them again if I needed any more electrical help.

I've done a lot of electrical work through Randy and his team - outlets, voltage and amp upgrades, wiring, etc. I first used them for inspecting the property when I was bidding on the house. Then brought them back to do some upgrades. They are very responsive (his wife is awesome) and they do good work. Very knowledgeable about code, and I appreciate that they will give me their opinion on possible solutions. At times, I think they can bite off more than they can chew which makes logistics a bit tricky. But they are honest and their prices are reasonable. Definitely recommend them.

Needed to get a Tesla Wall Connector installed and got a few quotes from different services, but Edward was the most responsive and detailed. Quote was very competitive and was well worth the job he did. Came right on time as scheduled and finished in less than 30 minutes. If you're looking for an electrician look no further, Edward is your guy. I highly recommended him.

We had a very baffling case of a set of lights not working. Miro did some great detective work, eliminating one cause after another, opening various panels and testing them, and eventually after eliminating all other possibilities concluded that the most likely cause was a tripped GFID somewhere obscure that we did not know about. And sure enough, eventually after methodically searching the house I found a hidden away GFID socket that I didn't know we had, and testing that fixed the problem. Thank you Miro!

Do not believe the other reviews. Darwin is absolutely dishonest and untrustworthy.
I asked him to help me evaluate a blown fuse. He troubleshoots it by flipping a switch and charged me $100 for it.
Then it gets worst, I was busy with a work trip so I did not get a chance to pay him yet, and I get a text from him at 10:15pm threatening he will sue me for not paying him. First of all, it has not even been a month yet and he's already threatening me. Secondly, good luck with finding an attorney that will accept defending him on this case and take it seriously! I really don't care too much about paying $100. However, I do care when people like this charge unethical rates and rip me off! It's just not right.

It's very easy to work with Roger.
The most concern to me at that time was living room would become ugly once he didn't cover the hole he drilled for pulling lines and repaint it well. But it turned out just perfect as he promised! You would never know where he drilled a hole on the wall or ceiling if I didn't tell you!
I also worry about light color and bright. But again, as he promised, no problem at all! And dimmer is just too helpful since my housing has so many windows sometimes you don't really need to turn them on the brightest or before bedtime, adjust light bright, it helps kids move into sleeping model.
I'm picky on professional and safety issues since these are regarding electricity and housing here are all built from wood.
Each general contractor told me they can do accessed light but Roger is the only one who has special electricity license and is qualified to become Solarcity's subcontractor. Also, he always responded very fast. It helps busy mom a lot! That's why I chose him.
After whole house LED lights project, I needed a new outlet in the garage. He did a great job than I expected.
Roger is very friendly and polite. No problem for communicating in English.
We enjoy our LED lights everyday very much. Hope so do you!

The man who was sent out by this company could not tell me what was wrong with my heater, but he told me I needed a new one. When I asked the cost of a new heater, he told me he didn't know, that the bill would come after the work was completed! That's when I knew something was very wrong with this company. I have had many big and small home repair projects done over many years and no one has been unable to give me the cost of the materials. I was desperate for heat and agreed to let him get a heater from his supplier. He took my heater and thermostat, and when he left I checked out these reviews on yelp. I called the company and said I was not wiling to go forward on the project. The woman I spoke with got angry with me! This business has been around for years, but considering their ridiculous policy about not saying upfront what materials will cost and hiring an uninformed worker, maybe it's time to close up shop.
