GLugo Electric did a fantastic job installing recessed lighting in our new home!! Initially had a referral to a recessed light installer but he was booked out. So instead I jumped onto yelp and reached out to several electricians. Some responded and others didn't. GLugo Electric responded quickly asking for best available times for an assessment. Gustavo (owner) came out and we discussed where the recessed lighting would go (master bedroom and family room).  For the family room it's on the first floor and doesn't have attic access. So it was going to be a bit tricky to get the recessed lighting installed in that room. Gustavo explained how he was going to do the install and I was pretty comfortable with his approach. He gave me a rough estimate for the install on the spot.  I was curious so I asked what would it cost to do the other bedrooms upstairs(3) and the main hallway. He gave a rough estimate as well. I told him we are expecting our second kid in the next month and would like to have this done soon.  He said he had availability and would send me a formal quote that evening. He text me later that afternoon asking about size and light temp for the lights. At that moment I told him I chatted with my wife and we would like to have all the rooms done. Since the newborn would be coming soon we didn't want to the burden of doing another install. He said that wouldn't be a problem. He said it would probably take 3 days at most. Gustavo sent me the formal quote and it was very reasonable. He said he could start the job next Monday(it was Wed) and I agreed. Overall the install went smoothly. It only took two days instead of the three which was great. The lights look fantastic and best of all we don't have to worry about doing the installation with a newborn and toddler. Thanks Gustavo!! Def going use GLugo again!

Khalif fixed all the dead outlets in my condo within a couple of hours and with ease and patience. As soon as I asked for a quote a couple of weeks back, he responded within the hour, agreed on a time I was comfortable with and was very cordial. When I canceled and rescheduled for a later date, he didn't hesitate to come at a time more convenient for me.

It feels amazing to finally use all the outlets in my home now and also feel good thay there are decent people out there who genuinely help with the great skillsets they have.

He did not price gouge me. Was direct about how much it would cost and that's it.

We bought a new oven and realized the old one was hard wired to the house.  This meant we had to have an outlet installed first.  Matt and Matt squeezed us in right away.  Upon pulling out the old oven we found that the wiring was a big unsafe mess.  The guys at Cambrian fixed it all same day, so we would be safe, at a very reasonable price.  They also sorted out and labeled our previously unlabeled circuit breaker.  They made sure our fridge stayed plugged in and accessible, and that we were comfortable.  These guys ROCK!!!

I recently purchased an electric vehicle, and needed my garage outlet upgraded to support 220v. I contacted Bart and we coordinated an install date within 24-hours - he was diligent with the job, and made sure I had all the right components. Bart and his sons showed up on time, and finished the job within 45-min at a great price point. I would highly recommend him.

Juan, was able to come and solve my problem right away and even supported me after hours.  He installed a Tesla charger for me and moved around some electrical outlets.  His pricing was fair and he did great work.  I would highly recommend using his services.

To break it down, Norm does great work, he is honest and his prices are fair.  Norm is frustrating to communicate with and tough to tie down.
I'm writing this review because I'm looking for an electrician and had to laugh when I clicked on San Mateo Handyman and saw my horrible review for him(read below).  Apologies to Norm that I didn't correct this sooner.  It's been a long time so I can't remember the details, I guess we finally connected, he came over and did the work perfectly and so incredibly fast!  I really liked him and loved that he came, conquered and left much more quickly than I could have imagined.  He is no fuss, no muss.
Fast forward to last year and he came out and did some work for my parents.  He did good work.  Norm's problem is that he is just bad at communication.  My Mom was so frustrated that she gave up.  He then called me and asked if I had a job for him.  Confused I told him it was my Mom that was trying to get ahold of him.  He said something about his son getting ahold of his calendar, blah, blah blah.  He then did call my Mom, but the she had problems getting him to commit and finish the job, which he finally did.
In this time of rabid construction/remodels it's tough to find someone to do the smaller jobs.  If you can handle the time it takes to chase him down and get him to your house, his often confusing texts (like confirming something that has nothing to do with what he's working on for you)  and lots of unnecessary repeating of information.  If you can deal with that, he does a great job and he is an honest guy.

Jacob is awesome!!!  We were referred to him by Paradise Valley Spas when we purchased out hot tub.  He was very prompt in his response and offered to come out and survey the situation very quickly.  He was very knowledgeable, and made us feel very comfortable since he has so much hot tub installation experience.  We had asked him to pull permits for the job, which he was more than happy to do.  He kept us informed through every step of the process, and followed up with the city constantly.  He came over to start the work as soon as the permit was issued, and had the whole job done inside of one afternoon.  His work was super clean and we were up and running!  He then followed up with the city until the job was inspected and signed off on.  He's very polite, clean, well organized, and communicative.  And he is very reasonable!  We will definitely call him again for any future electrical needs.  Thanks a lot Jacob!

Our experience with Fuse fixing our AC just now was A+.

During the scheduling call, they set clear expectations about both price and arrival time window. Both expectations were met. Once our repair person Damon arrived, he both fixed the problem and answered all our questions about his diagnosis and repair process to give us confidence in the repair and insight to avoid the problem in the future.

In our case, a clogged condensate pipe triggered a float switch safety mechanism that cuts off power to prevent water overflow. Damon lugged a heavy pressurized nitrogen tank into the attic where our furnace was to unclog the pipe. Even after that successfully cleared the clog, he also took the nitrogen to the other end of the pipe on the exterior of the house to clear the pipes even further. Quite a bit of water was released after that so I'm happy he took the extra step of clearing the other side.

I've called Tom a number of times for large and small projects: wiring and hanging new light fixtures, replacing old ones, fixing outlets, etc. Julien has been the guy to come out, and he is always timely, responsive, professional, speedy, detail-oriented, and a pleasure to work with. They're not the cheapest electricians, but definitely the best!

I highly recommend Zair Electric. Daniel came to my house the same day I called them, quickly diagnosed the  problem and gave me a reasonable quote.  The problem was with faulty electrical wiring in the kitchen. Daniel was very knowledgeable and did a superb job fixing the problem. I plan to use Zair Electric for any future electric jobs in my house and I highly recommend this company  to anyone who needs electrical work done.

Called them and left a message, and within a couple hours Rick called me back. He told me that unfortunately he doesn't service the area I live here in San Ramon (and that Yelp for some reason shows their company in areas outside of the Oakley area were they are based).

But the reason I am writing this review is because Rick is amazing. Despite the fact that he could not help me, he spent a lot of time on the telephone giving me advice regarding some of the issues that I had needed help with. Who does that these days?

It makes me think about moving to Oakley :) Thanks so much Rick for all of your advice and taking the time to help me! I really appreciate it, and I really appreciate your referral as well to another handyman in my area who might be able to help me (Diablo Valley Handyman).
