Ryan was the most responsive man when I sent quote requests to different companies.

I had used Hope electric before and they did the job. This time I called about installing a chime button for a musical doorbell. It is a unique button as it has to have a diode attached to make the music play. He wasn't familiar, but no problem. Never heard from him again, even though i called several times. Doesn't matter the reason, not either setting a time to do the work or calling back to say can't do it is a bad business practice.

They did a great job for me and were very easy to work with.
Thanks for your services!

These guys are very honest and professional.
I called them because a few electrical sockets in my house stopped working all of a sudden last week. The person on the phone. (Cathy was her name I think), asked me about the problem. She said she will help me trouble shoot - asked me to reset my GFI switch, then walked me through the tripped circuit breaker. Then told me the most likely cause could have been a space heater (and indeed it was a week ago, when I had plugged in a space heater in the garage).
The best part is that she said the charge would be zero. This was honest. She could have send some one over, and charged me just for showing up. That told me they are an honest business. I decided I had to pay back in some kind, and asked her if they would do some minor repair work. She said yes, they can charge hourly and fix it. The hourly charges quoted were reasonable. So I asked for that service.
Doug showed up on the time promised. Was very courteous and professional. I had a couple sockets that were stock, one bulb that was fused in place, and I wanted to get a couple sockets replaced with modern motion detection. I also wanted to get a couple smoke detector/Carbon monoxide alarms done. It was fast and painless. I had spare parts that I had purchased from Home Depot. But I forgot the face plates for a couple switches. He was nice enough to bring it from his own truck supply (and did not charge me for it).
These guys are very honest and professional. I highly recommend them.
Btw, I have never written a yelp review in the past, but their honest behavior is what compelled me to setup this new account and write this review. Hope you find it useful.

Gomez Electric was very responsive on short notice. Another electrician canceled same day and Gomez Electric was more than happy to come and assess the problem, same day. He arrived exactly on time and identified the problems in a very short amount of time. He was diligent, transparent and professional. I would recommend this company to take care of any electrical issues you may have. He was fair and worked to save money for us not make money selling us service we didn't need!

Dave did a fantastic job installing and hanging our chandeliers! He was professional, efficient and also very humorous. We're very happy with the overall service and results.

All the outlets on 1 circuit were out in my kitchen and wouldn't work even after resetting the breaker. Bob quickly got in touch with me after I reached out, and suggested several issues that could be the cause.
It turned out his suggestion that the GFCI outlet was correct and the problem was resolved after replacing the outlet. I didn't get to hire Bob this time since I was able to replace the outlet myself, but he'll be the first electrician I call in the future for other issues.

Jose and his partner took care of some lights and a vent in my house which had suddenly stopped working. They quickly identified that the problem was faulty wiring and repaired it in no time. They were also respectful of the property, courteous in their communication, and helped me out with a bunch of other minor issues too. I plan to call Jose for larger electrical projects in the future.

I've got my EV plug taken care of within one day. They fast and professional, i submitted for quotes to a few vendors, they came back with reasonable rate. Most importantly, they can get my job done in as little as two days time period. We're very happy about the EV plug they installed, looks and works great! thanks

I hired Gustavo and his crew to install some recessed lighting in my two-story house (and also install a Nest thermostat and fix my electric fireplace). I was very worried about them making a mess of the ceiling. Instead, they did an outstanding job on the lighting with no issues whatsoever. This included installing lights on very high, pitched ceilings. Moreover, I was blown away by the care they took to cover everything in the house to do the work so as to not make a mess. When they left, you could hardly tell workers had been there at all. I would hire Gustavo and crew for any future projects. Professionals all the way!

Seth was fantastic to work with! We hired him to add a 220 plug in our garage for our electric dryer. He was prompt to come out and give a quote, and was able to complete the work within a week of the quote. He provided exceptional service, even fixing the wiring on our dryer which the original installers had screwed up. Overall his work was above and beyond what we could have hoped for. Would highly recommend and will use again for any of our electric needs!

Alpine Mountain Electric is fabulous. Brian wired our entire house during a major remodel. Beyond lighting and other electrical, he added all kinds of complicated-to-me internet, TV, and stereo lines that streamlined our systems throughout the house. His work is clean, well-labeled, easy to understand, and he got us great deals on components purchased for us. He's trustworthy and he always left our house cleaner than when he arrived. We whole-heartedly recommend Alpine. (They operate out of LaHonda, but cover the entire Peninsula and San Francisco.)

Our home was built in the 70's and has the original electric panels. As a safety precaution, we had Jim check it out. Jim was very understanding and was easy to work with. He was very knowledgeable and what he didn't know he was not afraid to say. He did tons of research before coming to us with the best solution. We felt comfortable enough for him to do the upgrade while we were away. Thanks Jim

Rick and Chris were EXCELLENT! We had a short circuit in our house, and I had troubleshot it as far as I was capable. Rick and Chris came in and listened to my explanation of the problem, what we were doing at the time, then dove in and started troubleshooting! They were far more thorough than I was, including going into the attic crawl space looking for signs of burned wiring. They were able to trace the problem down to a wire that I had excused as ok, with better technology. Testing and repair and we are back in business, for less than I originally thought it would cost us!
I highly recommend B & B Electric!

Thank you very much Mr. Bene! I was successful in resetting the GFCI plug in the garage. The reset button popped out, so I just pushed it back in according to the instructions on the GFCI plug. The power is all back in both bathrooms and the outside patio. You are absolutely right, they are the GFI loop. I forgot I used the reset button in the garage to bring the bathroom power back a very long time (decades?) ago.
It's disappointing that the two young electricians from the HVAC company didn't know anything about the GFCI plug. The second electrician took 5 hours to diagnose the problem and made a wrong assumption that an active wire in the master bathroom outlet was cut by the first electrician and it dropped inside the wall. The second electrician suggested cutting open my master bathroom wall to look for the assumed cut wire behind the wall, drilling a big hole in the stud next to a light switch to junction power to the adjacent outlet, or fishing a wire and junction power from the light switch up to the attic, then coming back down to the master bathroom outlet that lost power. He said he only repairs drywall after it has been cut, but he doesn't do wall texturing and painting when I have the drywall compound, knockdown texture spray, matching paint and supplies. He said it would take him a whole new day to do the wiring. I refused to have my wall cut open or stud drilled with a big hole when his diagnosis was based on an assumption. I felt something was not right so I called in the pro by emailing you for your help.
Mr. Bene, you have just saved me from nightmare suggestions by inexperienced electricians. I will stay away from journeyman electricians without their boss on-site from now on. I am very grateful for your help, advice and guidance. I respect that you are a sincere, helpful, professional and exceptionally experienced licensed electrical contractor. I would highly recommend you to anyone.
I will keep your contact information handy for my next electrical projects - repairing non-working outlets, updating old outlets, upgrading the main panel, installing new lighting, etc.
Thank you so much again!

Ed and his team repaired dead fixtures, replaced switches, installed new fixtures, and more. They worked through my list of 11 items with efficiency and impeccability. I HIGHLY recommend Eagle Electric!

We hired this company 2 weeks ago to fix a breaker that tripped and wouldn't reset. As a result the entire south side walls of our condo did not have electricity. The consult happened without incident and we were advised the electrical panel in our 2,001 square foot condo needed to be replaced at a cost of $750. The two electricians completed the job in about 3 hours and the repair seemed to work fine until a few days later.
We discovered the electric heater wall baseboards throughout our condo would not turn on. We called the company with the complaint and they came out to fix it. Only problem was they could not figure out what the issue was and left without repairing it and without suggesting an alternative. It was clear to us their repair caused the problem since our heaters worked before they replaced the electrical panel.
We found another electrician referred to us by family and he quickly assessed the issue. Apparently the original company did not set the wattage high enough for the electric heater wall baseboards and that's why they were not functioning properly. This electrician also advised the company cut too large of a hole in the wall to install the new breaker box and they inserted the new breaker box too far into the wall. The nose electrician was repositioned the breaker box correctly and was nice enough to add more sheet rock around the breaker box to fill the holes the previous electricians left.
While we try very hard to support small and local businesses, we are quite disappointed with the service from Anthony Electric. More knowledge of electrical work appears in order for their electricians and a better customer service guarantee for the work should be the standard. Simply stating they don't know what the problem is and leaving us to resolve it is unacceptable. Unfortunately we don't recommend using this company based on our experience.
