RB Handyman Services

I hired RB Handyman Services to help repair 25+ open panels.  Unfortunately, I had to do repiping for my 1800 square foot house.  I then contacted various GC/repair vendors based Yelp reviews.  When Rick came to do estimate, he was the only one who broke down details and related costs.  He estimated 2 weeks.  His team completed the project within their estimated time.

During these 2 weeks, one of his guys couldn't make 1 day due to personal matters.  They notified me in the morning prior to the start of their day.  Jason picked it up by working a bit longer to stay on schedule.

They also called out the plumber who accidentally cut my electric wires related to my kitchen outlet and garbage disposal.  They openly shared its not to code and they couldn't patch it.  The plumber came back a few times, doing a quick fix.  I ultimately ended up complaining to the plumber's president, who finally did the right thing and fixed it according to code.  

Unfortunately, RB Handyman missed counted the # of holes.  To be fair, we mutually agreed to pay an additional cost for the missed holes (bit at lower/per hole cost).

I appreciated how Jason prepped and covered our floors and furniture.  I also appreciate how they respected the apace and put it back accordingly.  Jason did an excellent job closing the panels and matching the roughness of the wall.  I appreciate the quality, their professionalism, their integrity with code, timeliness, etc.

I will definitely use them for future projects.  Thank you, Rick and Jason!

Found on Yelp with Good reviews by many. Responded right away to give estimate and were honest about 3 week wait time-very busy after storms. Even though our scheduled appointment had to move by a couple days due to their busy schedule we appreciated their honest communication. We appreciated that for the work we needed ( dry rot repairs) the price seemed reasonable for the quality of the work and location of our home from their home base. Incredibly property conscious- cleaned up very well after each 2 days of work. We were happy with the results compared to what we started with. Replaced the side of our shed, skirts on 4 patio roof posts and dry rot on garage door trim. They caulked and sealed all in preparation for a paint job which is why some of the pictures may not appear so neat but knowing we are going to paint, it didn't need to look perfect-just protected for now. One item that could use improvement: The person who came to bid the job took many pictures but none of that information made its way to the 2 workers who came, therefore they had to leave and get all the materials necessary to do the job. I am sure they could have done this job more quickly and efficiently if they had everything they needed from the beginning (in other words, why take pictures if you're not going to pass the information along to those responsible for the work). Thanks for a good job! We truly appreciated your skills to complete the job to our satisfaction. Neighbors have also taken down your contact information from your truck. I hope it brings you more business.

This company is amazing! Jason came to put up some shelves in my studio apartment & let me tell you, it was NOT an easy. He did a phenomenal job!!! I mean really, it wasn't easy at all. But he was patient, kind & easy to talk to. Over all did a fantastic job! Thank you so much Jason!

I've had RB out a couple of times and am very happy with the results each time. Once for some Sheetrock repairs and the last time to replace the toe panel in the kitchen that a leaky dishwasher ruined. They were very professional and courteous, on time and cleaned up after themselves. I will use them again when needed!

We had the best experience with RB Handyman Services!  Prices were very reasonable and we got a detailed estimate letting us know exactly what each item on our list would cost.  We had a huge list of projects to complete, including disconnecting and reconnecting plumbing, electric, and appliances in our kitchen and bathrooms.  It was so convenient to be able to get everything completed by one company rather than calling out a separate contractor for each item.

The quality of the completed work was top-notch and the attention to detail was impressive.  Our under-sink pipes were a complete mess before, taking up the entire cabinet and running in every direction.  They are so streamlined and well-assembled now.  It would have been very easy to just reassemble them in the haphazard condition they were found, but they took the time to make sure it was done properly and use quality materials.  Some of the work was made more difficult because of idiosyncracies in the way our house was built, but they found ways to make it work rather than just telling us it couldn't be done.

We also had a couple of chandeliers that we needed installed.  We had spoken with electricians who wouldn't work on our 20 foot ceilings, but RB Handyman was able to get it done.  One of the chandeliers ended up being way heavier than I had expected, and I have no idea how they managed to get it all the way up there, but they did it!

We will definitely be using RB Handyman for our future projects.  They went above and beyond what we expected.  Instead of just doing the bare minimum, they completed the work in the way I would have done it if I had the skills to do so.  They were respectful of our home and left everything clean and neat when they were done.  Highly recommended!

Quick to respond for request for service! Fortunately I was able to resolve the issue myself but will definitely keep their information on file for future reference.

Let me start off this review by stating that both my husband and I are very handy and do most of the work on our home ourselves. I am also a construction project manager...so to say I am selective about who works on my house is an understatement. We had some extensive dry rot on our house that we needed to get repaired in order to paint our house but we just never had the time and needed to hire someone else to just get it done.

I reached out to Rick in the summer 2021. I explained the situation over the phone and we made an appointment. He showed up right on time. I had done my due diligence and did my own take off and estimate prior to meeting with Rick so I knew what it would cost etc. He wrote up a very detailed quote and got it back to me with in 3 days!!! (Unheard of if you're a working general contractor.) The quote was within 10% of what I originally priced out myself. Unfortunately we had to push it out and ended up calling Rick to come back out for a requote in Dec with a laundry list of add-ons.

Believe it or not Rick actually talked us out of the add-ons (in an educated way) and guided us to focus on the main scope of work first which was the exterior dry rot repair. It was refreshing to work with a general contractor that is clearly educated on how to build and also not a snake oil sales man that is just trying to make money off of uneducated home owners like some other general contractors out there.

We got on the schedule and his team showed up right on time. Upon mobilization I noted additional areas that I wanted repaired and Don (his foreman) wrote up the change order there on the spot and got Rick to approve it so we could continue with the work that day. And again...something rare...the change order was not a price gouge. It was legitimate cost of added materials, labor, and fee. I approved it immediately.

The craziest part of this whole thing is that we had the dry rot repair done in DECEMEBR. Yep, the rainy season. Rick forewarned us the schedule might slip and being in construction I assured him we understood. His team created a group text and kept us updated daily for a morning check in and an end of day check in regarding plans for the next day. We never felt out of the loop and they were able to complete all the scope of work in about 7 business days! (including the change order work).

Another thing to point out is their attention to detail. How you set up a job is how the client will perceive the quality of work. His team was extremely clean. During the day and at the end of the day they walked the exterior of the house to remove any nails or wood and swept. Each day everything was wrapped up and taken off site. I never had to worry if our new puppy or my 4 yr old was going to get hurt.

Finally, on the last day we did our punch walk and there were only a few minor items. I think if you weren't in construction one would not have noticed it so that's a testament to their quality of work. They got the needed materials and came back and his guy fixed it THAT DAY.

If you're looking for a general contractor that tells it to you straight, gives you an honest price, and stands by his commitments, then look no further.

We have a lot more work coming up for Rick and his team and can't wait to get them back on site.

We used RB again this year for fan installation in an in-law unit where we have tenants and replacement of some electrical outlets as well as installation of a fireplace gas insert that was a bit tricky.

Same great communication, same great service, same great quality of work and cleanup of the work areas.

The fireplace insert was a pain and after it was done I noticed I may not have been clear on what I wanted but the handyman didn't have an attitude about having to do a do-over and rapidly went to the hardware store and quickly got it to where I wanted it.

They hire good people that do good work and that are reliable and show up on time - something you may not get with an unlicensed 'someone-so' who is not insured and may not have the appropriate skillset to do your particular job.

Another great experience with this company! Rick arrived in a very timely manner to quote our master walk in closet project and made some great suggestions which led to an even better end result than I had imagined. Robert who did the work was timely, incredibly professional, friendly and his attention to detail was simply outstanding. We are thrilled with the end result and looking forward to working with Rick and his team for our next project!

I've worked with RB Handyman Services a few times and have been happy every single time.  I most appreciate Rick's calm can-do attitude, he is always open to find solutions.  While others have gotten hyper-specialized, Rick can do it all!

I've used RB Handyman twice now in the past couple months. A dry rot repair to our chimney in December, and now a very complicated water leak just this week.
In both cases an inspection was done reasonably soon after contact and the job scheduled.
Whether it's Frank, Robert, Danny or Jason - all the workers are quick, competent, and do great work.
I will continue to use RB Handyman for any and all jobs for which I'm out of my element.

I hired the company to estimate for a possible leaking damage from the roof. Frank came out and gave me his assessment. The real cause was the roof. Though his company does not do the roof, he still spent the timing communicating to what needs to be done and what not to be done. For a zero handy person like me, I really appreciate this as I feel he is watching out for my best interest. I definitely put his company in mind for my next project.

We had an overall great experience with RB Handyman Services. Great communication from the start, always prompt and on-time, and the price was fair.

We worked with Frank for an estimate and Jason and another handyman came out and did the work needed. Both were professional and we are happy with the work that was completed.

We had a variety of items needing to be done:  a vanity install, replacement of a shower door, an electrical outlet replacement, and drywall/sheetrock repair in multiple areas. All items were completed at expectation and beyond, and that says a lot for the high standards both my husband and I have.

The other day our neighbor pointed out a part of our roof looked to be sagging. I called a few roofers out to investigate and they said that the trusses and supports inside the attic space was not strong enough for the roof and that I would need a general contractor. The builder of the home did not support the plywood properly!  I called at least 5 different contractor companies and RB Handyman was the only one that called me back. That very next day they had someone come out and look. He provided me a reasonable quote and described in detail what needed to be done. I felt very confident that they new what they were doing. I agreed to the quote and a crew was out the very next day! The work they did was great and I am confident that my roof is now supported properly.

I requested quotes from several companies to do a demolition job to remove a decorative pergola and patch up the stucco wall where the pergola was attached to. RB Handyman Services came back with a competitive quote. They scheduled the job quickly and accommodated my needs. On the day of the job, Robert and Jurado came right on time. They communicated well and explained to me what they planned to do. They laid out carefully the protective sheet to protect the surrounding areas and kept the job site neat and clean. They did the job well with high quality and paid lots of attention to the details. The company filled a niche area that is between the typical light duty'handyman and full service general contractor by having crew that can handle jobs of multiple trades. I highly recommend them.

Danny did a great job installing my shower door! Very professional. Cleaned up after the work. I would highly recommend this company!! I'm going to hire them again for more projects.

We just had our bathroom vanity replaced and we are very happy and satisfied with the results. The price ended up exactly as quoted. We will use their services again.

5 stars for response time which was greatly appreciated.  Other businesses were either 3 days late or didn't respond at all.

The tech that came out wasn't the actual owner of the business...maybe because it was such a small job.  

All that being said, we were satisfied with what Richard completed.  Replacing our sliding glass door handle along with putting up new weather stripping for the winter (everyone should do this!).

Richard called to let us know that his job finished up early and he could come to do our job early, or he could come at the original appointment time.

RB Handyman services are the best! And I've tried them all.  Recently they did multiple projects for us.
They installed a vanity, plumbing, electrical, installed pool bars, and many other small things.
The bid was fair, they are honest, friendly, on time and accountable.  This time Danny and Robert did the work. They are true gentlemen and professional.

Worst service ever!!! We'll I can't actually say they are bad service because they don't actually show up when they say they will. I was supposed to have someone out today to fix a bunch of things at our tenets apartment, we made the appointment, nobody showed up and when I called to reschedule they said they couldn't fit me in for a week and that it works take another two weeks to get any of the projects done. They also said I wasn't a good fit for them because I was upset that it was now going to take 3 weeks to get any of the projects completed. If I could give them zero stars, I would.

Danny & Jason did exceptional job for us. They were timely and professional plus they kept us informed during the project.

For the past several years I have been living in a crack house. No, not the drug type, but a house with cracks in the ceiling, cracks in the walls, cracks in the corners and all of them getting bigger and wider and longer each year. I knew that they wouldn't magically go away and I had to find a good company to do the work. I read the great reviews on Yelp and decided to give RB Handyman Services a call. Frank arrived and took one look at the cracks and said, Oh yeah, we can fix this. I'll send my best sheet rock and ceiling guys to do this and gave me a quote. This is the first positive response I had heard. Previous comments from other companies ranged from Why did you wait so long to call someone? to Boy, this is not going to be easy to fix.
Frank scheduled his crew to be here at 8am. At 7:55am 2 trucks were sitting in front of my house and at 8am on the dot they rang the doorbell. They immediately started working; everybody knew what to do. When they broke for lunch, they cleaned their tools and swept the floors like they were leaving for the day. At the end of the work day, they did the same thing. They were professional, respectful and worked as a team. Every single day, they were here on time and worked hard. I was so impressed and pleased.
Big thanks to Richard, Logan, Hernando, Jason and Robert for their work ethic and positive attitude. You guys have made me very happy. I have several other projects in mind and I will definitely be calling again.

We hired RB Handyman services for the first time and we're extremely happy with them. We had to do some caulking in the bathroom, repair the fence and install and outdoor outlet. They did an excellent job and we'll definitely call them again for our future projects.

The worst experience ever.  The handyman came out and gave him a list of what needed to be done. He called it into the office, and I followed up with a phone call. We were all on the same page as far as what needed to be done in our house. We got the hourly rate and I confirmed we are good to go. When the handyman got to our house, he fixed one thing.   He said he didn't know about any of the other items.   Lies all the way around. I'm a business owner too and the ow ER of this business should have done something to make it right. The handyman called me a few days prior asking if it was ok to pick up the expensive hardware and we said ok. When he got to our house he told my husband that he needed to call and get a new work order.  Bad business all the way around.  My husband took the day off for nothing.

My wife hired RB Handyman to replace a leaky bathroom window. Frank the estimator was prompt and helpful when we came over to look at the problem. Robert, the lead person who came over today to replace the window was very professional and courteous. He and his counterpart, the other Robert, did a good job. They kept the work area clean and was efficient. We would use them again for future projects.

My wife and I had a few small home repairs needing to be done and we couldn't do them ourselves. We made outreach to several possible handyman services but were met with silence each time. One call to RB Handyman Services was all we needed:  Frank came out and did an estimate, Rick coordinated the details along with Ashley, and Don came to our home to do the job, all within one week. The repairs were done to our complete satisfaction, the communication was easy and thorough, only good surprises throughout the entire process.  The job was done at a very fair price.  While we don't look forward to future repair needs, we are relieved to know that RB Handyman Services is available.  We'll not look beyond RB.

We had a great experience with Frank the field supervisor. He gave great advice on the work we wanted to be done. It helped us to make a wise decision on how to handle our issues. Jason was scheduled to come out and he repaired our doors entry and patio. He also repaired our toilet and he did it so fast I did not even noticed he completed the toilet. I was surprised. We are pleased with the work and advice. We would use then again.

Had these guys do a couple of projects for us; you know those chores that have been on your honey-do list forever but you never seem to get around to them?! Anyhow, they did a good job with a couple of projects but the one that stood out was our shower pan debacle. I had used Diablo Valley Handy Man to replace our cracked shower pan a couple years back, and they really botched the job, so I had to call in RB to fix it. Robert worked hard to find a solution to a very complicated, atypical type of repair, so that we didn't have spend the money to rip everything out and start over. It took him a few tries but he stayed dedicated to the fix and made good on their word that they could repair the botched shower pan tile work; and his diligence paid off as his repair looks great and has lasted the test of time! Thank you RB handyman for your dedication and commitment, even though you were fixing someone else's major mistake! Robert's tile work expertise really paid off and we were so thankful RB Handyman took on the difficult job of cleaning up another companies mistake! We appreciate these guys and will absolutely use them again should any projects arise that I don't quite have the time or skill to get to.

Rb has a great team to work with, not just the workers doing the work but also behind the scenes to get the actual work started, Ashley is very prompt, direct, well spoken, suer easy to work with and answers all the questions and concerns and is on top of all the follow up's! Thank you Ashley for all your hard work! Will be calling them again!

I had RB Handyman do a bunch of work around my house, including a bunch of drywall work around the house to patch holes and cleanup old ones, as well as help layout some walls and electrical for a home office.  They did a solid job and everything turned out great.  I will definitely give them a call for any other future jobs that I can't handle myself.  Thanks guys !

After years of dealing with a broken shower door, pic below, I bought this OVE barn style on special at Costco.  Finding a reputable handyman to install it was another challenge.  Most construction companies don't deal with small jobs or I'm crossing my fingers hoping some sketchy person can do the job. I decided to call RB after reading their reviews. I spoke with Rick, the owner.  He was responsive, friendly, straightforward and quoted a fair price for the job.  Jason showed up on the date promised and on time, was super friendly, professional and did a fantastic job. I definitely recommend RB for any home projects you may have. Their integrity and workmanship is greatly appreciated. I would give them 10 stars if I could.

When we bought our house the previous owner left us with their DirecTV dish. We left it in place because we weren't sure if we'd need it, but after a few years it was just an eyesore that needed to go. Problem was that it was mounted at the roof line on the 2nd story and removal wasn't in my DIY bag of tricks.

RB gave us a quote and got it down, patching the stucco so you'd never even know it was there.

Then a couple of months later we had a flood in our laundry room that we needed to make sure wasn't caused by plumbing leaks. RB came out to remove two sections of drywall from the garage ceiling so we could get a look (and dry everything out completely). After a couple weeks they came back to install new drywall good as new.

Their workers are friendly, polite and skilled. I was particularly impressed with the guy who installed the new drywall. He put up plenty of protective sheeting even though it was a garage he was working in and left not a speck of mess or dust behind.

Definitely on our short list when we need work done.

Responded to my request through Yelp for a project where I provided all my info including my Zip code. His profile on Yelp shows he services my area and then after I got on the phone to explain my entire project he tells me he doesn't service my area. Not a great experience

Called them and left a message, and within a couple hours Rick called me back. He told me that unfortunately he doesn't service the area I live here in San Ramon (and that Yelp for some reason shows their company in areas outside of the Oakley area were they are based).

But the reason I am writing this review is because Rick is amazing. Despite the fact that he could not help me, he spent a lot of time on the telephone giving me advice regarding some of the issues that I had needed help with. Who does that these days?

It makes me think about moving to Oakley :) Thanks so much Rick for all of your advice and taking the time to help me! I really appreciate it, and I really appreciate your referral as well to another handyman in my area who might be able to help me (Diablo Valley Handyman).

I contacted RB Handyman for a couple of things around my house. Rick was very responsive. They were very professional and did a great job!

This is the second time we've contracted RB Handyman.  The first was for a bathroom remodel (review under Amy M.), and this time to repair a leaking copper line after we noticed that our drywall was bulging with water.

RB quickly opened a work order and sent Jason to find and fix the issue the same day.  Jason found two issues, a leaking valve connected to our refrigerator and a second leak in a copper pipe on the opposite side of the wall.

Jason was professional, thorough, and demonstrated real skill in both the repairs and the finishing work.  As with our previous experience with RB, Jason also did a fantastic job of protecting our home and cleaning up after each visit.  He was also generous in explaining everything to us.

We highly recommend RB Handyman for all of your home repair and improvement needs, and they will always be our first contact should we need any kind of home work again.  Thanks, RB team.

I wish I could give 10 stars. From first inquiry  to the office which was handled almost immediately to the completion today of 10 replacement can lights with LED, this company is amazing. Danny 2 arrived early! ( after calling first to ask if he could come early), completed the job quickly, neatly and he explained everything along the way. Danny was so pleasant and efficient.  I hope you will call RB Handyman if you need projects completed( and I hope you get Danny 2!)  I know you will not be disappointed.

So sorry to write this review. I have used RB handyman in the past. They've always been great. I called to ask about an above ground pool we were thinking about and possibly a deck around it. I called and set up an appointment. I'm not going to mention names. The man came out. He was nice enough but definitely got the feeling I was putting him out. Then we started talking about painting my kitchen cabinets. Then he said well if we do it I'll have to do it on a weekend and charge you a lot of money. he referred me to another contractor? Unsure why as I thought they were contractors? I called the contractor they referred me to Just to find out their estimate was quite expensive in my opinion. Then I called RB handyman back. I talked to the person who answers the phone and called the man who  came originally came out. Long story short and few phone calls later and texts to the man who came out originally. He said, just so busy ya he finally sent me an estimate. I guess I felt like he was doing me a favor. Just not a good experience.

We had such a great experience with RB Handyman and so happy we found them! We recently moved to the area and have struggled to find a good handyman and have had some terrible experiences with others we've used. I contacted them based on their Yelp reviews and I'm so glad we did. Robert was able to do all of the work we needed done around the house and the quality of work was great! Not to mention he was incredibly professional and knowledgeable - You can tell they know what they're doing no matter how big or small the job is. Highly recommend them and we'll definitely be using RB Handyman moving forward!

I needed a quick repair done to the area around my front door and tried RB.  I loved the fact that he offered a flat rate - which was totally reasonable.  He took his time and fixed everything to my satisfaction.  I would hire him again.

RB replaced a wood gate for us.  The new gate works perfectly, it's sturdy, and attractive.  Would recommend and expect that we'll go to RB Handyman again for other home improvements and repairs.

RB handyman just remodeled out bathroom.   Rob and Rob were the technicians.  They were both excellent.  Always on time, friendly, neat, and most importantly very knowledgeable.  I was told on day 1 that they would treat my house as if it was their own, and they did just that.   I 100% percent recommend Rob and Rob.   If you are trying to decide on who to call...dont hesitate...call RB Handyman Services.

Contracted them a little over a year ago to repair cracks in the drywall in ceiling and walls and some trim around the front door.  Response and estimate were quick and clear.  He had some other guys do the work.  Everyone was friendly.  

Work was mostly satisfactory at time of completion. (Annoyingly, the person repairing the ceiling had removed insulation from the attic and not put it back, so had to do that after he was done).

Work was costlier than I'd have imagined to repair 2 cracks and the threshold of our door, so I'm not thrilled that the cracks are back.

We appreciate the handyman work done by RB Handyman. We had a rather large job and they were able to provide a cost estimate, then complete the work in a quality fashion for the estimate provided. We also had some extra work for them to do and they were able to provide a change order estimate for that too. Thanks again.

The entire crew from RB Handyman Services including Danny #1, Danny # 2, Jason, Rob, Richard, Frank and Rick all did a fantastic job helping us to complete our long list of much needed repairs.

I had a non-clockable gas leak that PG&E identified but couldn't locate under my kitchen island gas range.  I contacted two other contractors before HB Handyman Services, and I'm glad I held out for them.  Unlike the others, they didn't suggest removing the range and/or cutting into my kitchen island.   They were able to find the slight leak in the regulator and quickly tighten it without removing the range from the island.  And they charged a fraction of the estimate I received from the other contractors.

Richard and Miguel were the two employees who did the job, and I highly recommend asking for them.  They gave a 8-11am window and were here promptly at 8am.  They wore masks & shoe coverings & were polite and respectful.  What I appreciated most is how they communicated with me during their fix--showed where the problem was and how they were going to approach solving it.

I'll be calling HB Handyman Services and asking for Richard and/or Miguel for any additional handyman work I need done in the future.

Needed some work done quickly and Rick got back to me right away with some options and schedule. Richard came and got fence tightened up and are doing microwave trim kit. A one stop shop that does great work.

I contracted with RB Handyman to do several jobs around my house.  Rick came out to review the project then sent me a detailed invoice with agreed upon pricing a couple of weeks before the start of the project.  The project included installing recess lighting.  When Rick was was at my house we discussed that he would have to remove an existing ceiling fan to install the light.  Rick sent a different technician to do the work.  After the technician had already begun to work on my house he told me that since installing the light would require removing the ceiling fan, Rick had instructed him to charge double what we had previously agreed (an extra $125).  The fact that I had a written invoice didn't matter.  I felt extorted.  Either I had to pay twice what we had previously agreed or that job wouldn't get done.  Although the technician would have completed the rest of the work.  I reluctantly agreed to pay the higher price.  I have no complaints about the technician or the quality of work he did.  But I find it very shady that Rick doubled the price after we had an agreement in writing, and the technician had already started work.

Edit:
The company reached out to me to resolve my complaint, and refunded the $125.  As I stated in my original review I had no problem with the service.  The work done was fine.  I did not like that they added an extra $125 after I agreed to the work.  Now that they refunded my money, I am satisfied.

Our experience with RB Handyman was exceptional, from our first consultation with Frank through the completed bathroom remodel.  Frank was exacting in his estimate, the price never changed, and the experience was low-pressure.  We want to express particular thanks to Robert and Danny, who exceeded even our most hopeful expectations.  Beyond their professionalism, which was first rate, Robert and Danny took extreme care with the site and with their work.  They were always on time and did a remarkable job of keeping our home clean and safe throughout the process.  They really respected our time and, when they could, even came and left quietly because we work from home.  After each day, Robert provided us with what they had finished and what they would be working on next.  He also displayed genuine excitement about the work, consistently asked for design approval, and showed excellent awareness of what work had to be completed before the countertop and shower glass were installed.  It was a true pleasure to have them around.  And they're just terrific, personable guys.  We hope to work with both of them again.  To us, they are the true selling point of working with RB Handyman.

As far as the work itself, we're still awestruck with the quality and precision of their tile and finish work.  Robert is an absolute tile master.  Danny's mechanical work was perfect, from the plumbing fixtures to drywall to electrical.  They reinvented our bathroom space into something straight out of AD.  Even after a week of moving back in, we find ourselves just standing around, marveling at the improvement.  Even better is that we know the quality that went into their work, and that we will not only be enjoying it for years but doing so worry-free.

Great handyman service! Will definitely be using them for all of our future needs. There were easy to work with and very responsive (very hard to find nowadays!). Danny even showed up early, was very friendly and explained everything he was going to do. Really we couldn't ask for more, Danny was great and the work came out awesome.  Highly highly recommend.

From start to finished highly satisfied with the work completed for the numerous handyman projects completed.  Frank was timely in his appts for estimates and all workers were pleasant and completed the work as scheduled.   (with the exception of a mother nature rain delay).

From the easy phone consultation, to scheduling the work, showing up on time, wearing a mask and getting the job done, I was impressed. There was a satellite dish  on our house when we moved in and it served no purpose except for squeaking and making noise on windy days. Now it's gone thanks to these guys and you can't even tell it was there. I would recommend these guys and use their services again.

Had some dry rot on an outside window frame and Richard Gomez came out and fixed it and did a great job. Everything went well from start to finish. They were very responsive in the beginning and on the day that was scheduled for the work they showed up on time and did quality work. We're very happy with the result.

Mike from RB Handyman Services came out and repaired my Mom's broken door jamb.  Quick and smooth repair, door closes just fine how.  Mike was even kind enough to take a look at a couple issues in Mom's motorhome and offer advice on how to repair them myself.  It was appreciated.  Good work, definitely recommend.

Extremely  professional!  Showed up masked and ready to work. Got the job done faster than expected  and very fair pricing. I will be using them for all my home improvements  and repairs from now on.  Its hard to find someone who won't  try to over charge  you. Once again definitely  recommend!

RB has done a bunch of work on my house, but recently re-did a bathroom floor that had water intrusion. They did a great job, especially the main guy on the job (I think his name was Danny? Sorry, bad with names). Everything was explained, questions were answered, we were all on the same page and they made sure we were happy with the outcome. I'll continue being a repeat customer, but hopefully not anytime soon. Thanks for the great service!

RB Handyman Services was referred to me in February 2020. I was interviewing contractors for my siding on my house. RB's estimate was the the most thorough and fairly priced estimate I received. One contractor even quoted 3x the amount they did. They arrived everyday on time, communicated with me each day during the entire 7 day job, picked up everything each day when the left. Their handyman Don was reassuring and helpful in assisting me in understanding the job. The work performed was quality workmanship. This review is overdue and I am glad that I had to call them once again for an HVAC referral. Rick was very helpful and referred me to Vic at Elite Comfort Systems who I also gave a 5 star rating and reminded me to do this review as well. I would recommend them to everyone and have.

Rick and his team were great!  Rick, Frank and his office folks were courteous, professional and prompt. Unlike other handyman services, they gave written estimates after a thorough in-person review of the tasks I had requested help with. They even sent a guy to help move a heavy door inside, as I couldn't move it by myself- all for free and as a courtesy to me. I truly appreciate this kindness. The handymen who came to complete the work, Richard and another guy whose name I didn't catch, were exceptional. On time, professional, and went out of their way to ensure I was satisfied with the work. Richard was truly happy to help, and made sure that any concerns I had were addressed completely. I would like to give props to RB Handyman Services.    I needed to have a door installed on my detached garage.     Part of me felt that some contractors may feel the job was too small.     Initially I called 4 businesses and Rick got back to me.    He was very straightforward and had Frank come out to look at the job and give me an estimate.       I appreciated Frank's recommendations and the job was scheduled.       Dan #2 came out on time on the scheduled date and performed a professional job.       Dan managed the job very well.       The job was started as promised and completed as promised.     I was very impressed.       If I need a handyman in the future, then I will definitely call RB Handyman Services again.     Great job!

A home repair, no matter how big or small, is so stressful to deal with. But feeling like you have someone on your side alleviates the headache associated with it. This is how I felt a few months ago when I contacted RB.

I spoke to Rick about our fence which was completely destroyed after a storm. I didn't know whether to get insurance involved or not. Rick was BEYOND helpful and honest with his advice. And he's so nice and professional! Not only that, the advice he gave me ultimately benefited me only, not him at the time.

I won't go into too much detail but basically he told me not to go through insurance because they might drop me (and I found out that they would have!) and to just save a little money and call him in a few months and he'll fix it then. He could have easily lost my business because who knows where I'd be in a few months.

But what that made me realize is that he's NOT about money or business, but rather cares about his potential clients and puts them first. He could have easily guided me into going through insurance and getting my business right away with possibly more money, but he didn't. He genuinely cared about my situation and didn't want me to get dropped from my insurance company.

Now, thanks to him, my insurance rate is still low and now I'll be calling him to come do the work! Not only that, I'll most likely call him for ALL repairs from now on and will be recommending him to everyone I know!!

Danny arrived exactly at the specified time, and did an excellent job on our kitchen sink, faucet and rotted floor board issue. he also did a great patch job on an existing large hole on the back wall under the sink.

My son referred me to RB Handyman for the work they did on his house. I called Rick and made an appointment. I wanted the kitchen lights and some bathroom water damage repaired. Rick was able to come earlier which really helped my schedule. He was meticulous in taking notes and describing what could be done (in a way I could understand) and how much. He made excellent recommendations regarding the kitchen lights and effective solutions to the water damage in the two bathrooms.

Two days later, Danny and Rob arrived at 8am. These men are very good. They upgraded the kitchen lights within a few hours and cleaned up after themselves. Over the next two days they carefully repaired the damage in both bathrooms, made sure the right paint was used and left both bathrooms clean.

I have a list of projects to be done over the next several months and will definitely continue to use them.

This is a long overdue 5-star review for Rick and Frank with RB Handyman Services who I was lucky to have help me fix my master bathroom shower in December 2019 (5 months ago).  I found and contacted this company via Yelp based on their excellent reviews.  I had a bit of a tricky shower leak situation that involved a part that may/may not have been available (its a pretty old shower).  Frank exhausted all efforts trying to find the dinosaur part but wasn't able - which was fine.  I appreciated his efforts as finding it would have resulted in a cheaper repair cost.  Regardless, Frank was diligent, very knowledgeable, and they were reasonably priced given the work they did.

I contracted this RB Handyman to replace a header, and to paint gutters and exterior trim. The worker that started the job said he couldn't complete it because the gutters needed to be cleaned. He then proceeded to charge me an additional $400 on top of what I had already paid per our written contract. While at a consumer information/workshop, I discovered that what this man did was illegal and I was given a form to fill out and encouraged to file a complaint with the CSLB.
With this knowledge, I called RB Handyman and told them what I'd learned. RB Handyman reimbursed me $200 and apologized for the incident.

I recently  purchased  a  new GE Profile  28 cubic feet  Refrigerator  because our  old  unit  Broke . Once Airport Home Appliance  delivered  the  unit  both me and my wife  immediately  noticed that the  Ref  was  sticking out  by  6  inches  because of its  size. I contacted  Ric  and  explained  to him we needed  to move  back the  wall  by  5/6  inches  and move the water line  as well as the  electrical outlet. I sent  Ric  pics  of the  Ref/Kitchen  and  he sent Frank over
for a  Estimate within 24 hors I received  a  professional  estimate which I  accepted. Frank  mentioned to me he would  put his best man on  the Job  Don  and  his assistant Miguel.
This by  any means  was not easy  project in fact it was  a  gamble
because  we had no idea  what was  behind  the  Wall so  Demo  was done by
Don and  Miguel  first class  work from laying out the professional paper  and rug to protect  flooring . We got Lucky  we missed  hitting  any major  structural damage.  The  Demo -  moving  wall 5 1/2  back  water line  electrical done , stucco  and painting  all completed in 2  days  and  now  we  
have a flushed  beautiful 28 CFT  GE Profile  Refrigerator  we are so happy that we decided to change all our  Appliances  the  job  that RB Handymen  with Ric and his  Team ( Frank , Don  and  Miguel )  did  saved my  Kitchen Cabinet  which I  love  and  so  I can say is Thank you for  a Job Well done on time  work  and  delivered  as promise.  I will definitely  recommend  using their  service and  when I re  do my Bathroom  4  of them I will use them. Our siding needed to be replaced after a prior contractor did a poor job.  RB Handyman Services were the only guys that seemed to know how to fix it right so we hired them.  Danny was prompt, professional, efficient and courteous.  We were very happy with his service.

A perfect job from start to finish. First, Frank came by to survey and scope out my needs/projects. I received a quote the very next day! Then Rick scheduled me for the following week; very accommodating with my schedule! Then the men- Mike and Rob- said they would arrive at 8am, and they arrived at 8am on the nose! If you've had to hire handymen before, you will know that never usually happens. They worked all day and could handle my many different projects no problem, from lights to clean up to fencing. They even bought the supplies themselves! Cannot say enough about how pleased I am with this service. Will definitely be hiring them again for any other problems I have at my house. [Must add that they followed all Covid protocol and had masks on during all their work!]

Frank came out to give me an estimate to update the post on my front porch.  I called Rick to schedule and that was easy. I forgot the name of the handyman that came out to actually do the work. He ran late but called to let me know. All good. The problem did not arise until after he started installing the new post. I had asked for 4 x 6 redwood post, but the one installed was 4 x 4. I had shown photo to Frank of the finish I was after and somehow that did not get communicated to the handyman that came out to do work. In addition to wrong post size, he started to paint the post with white paint though I had already said that we are trying to match the look of our cedar gate (clear stain). The handyman also left without painting over the stucco where old posts were removed. Now I have to find a contractor to correct the work that was done to get the look I want.

Great work! Masked up for safety.  I needed a bathroom remodel.  They completed everything in three days.  I will use for future projects.  Thanks again!!

I own condos in Antioch and have been using RB Handyman Services for repairs since January, 2017. They've fixed a leak of water coming in from under the patio door, which included installing and painting new trimming and a dry rot inspection. More recently they went to another unit and diagnosed electrical problems and corrected the issue by replacing faulty circuit breakers.

Dealing with tenants is tricky because one party does the work, one pays for it, and the repairs need to be coordinated based on the availability of the tenant. Rick at RB Handyman handled contacting the tenant, scheduling the work, and sent me the bill when the work was done. For me, it couldn't have been easier.

Without a doubt, I will continue working with RB Handyman for years to come.

Called to schedule a walkthru for replacing the windows on my deck/patio area a week ago and was able to have Jed come out on Tuesday. Same as before, came out on time, assessed the work, picked up parts, and got it done.

Very happy to have clear windows again and don't have to deal with my in-laws having to see the plastic mesh anymore this weekend.

We hired these guys to do the work in a pest inspection report. Unlike others, Frank showed up to the door in a mask. He gave me a timely and competitive estimate. They sent two great workers, Don and Ricardo, who did a good job on the tasks we'd given them and spotted others that the inspector missed.

Great job. Very professional. And finished a day early! Would definitely use them again..

Bryan came to our home and was super courteous, prompt, and so clean you could not tell he was there. He installed a dog door. We were extremely satisfied and so was our dog!

My bathroom remodel is perfect.  Richard tore out the old carpet, replaced the subfloor, and installed waterproof laminate.  He ripped out the old vanity (which was at least 30 years old) and replaced it with a vanity with double sinks and a marble top.  This required replumbing the bathroom to accommodate the second sink.  He also repainted the entire bathroom perfectly.  I'm definitely going to use them for my next big project!

We've experienced a series of unfortunate events... (Some projects just work out that way no matter how prepared or experienced you are.) But Rick has been there every step of the way making things right. Great guy who genuinely cares about his customers. Work is still in progress, but as it stands now, I am very impressed with his incredibly strong work ethic and focus on customer service.

Update: Rick took care of everything and we've had him come back for several additional projects since.

Jason, Danny and Rob did a great job. Fixed two bathrooms from water damage.  Professional,  Polite and just really nice men. We will be using them a lot in the future.  Jason really knows his stuff. Mike is awesome! He does great work. I hired him for a few projects and I still have many more. From knocking down walls, painting, electrical, and anything you can think of, he's your man. On top of that, they don't charge an arm and a leg like most companies. I will never use another service again!

We had a window checked for mold and a bathtub replaced.  Frank & Mike did a great job. They were prompt, clean, and professional. I would recommend them.  The only issue I had with them is that during a pandemic, I had to remind them to please make sure they were wearing their masks. The work that they did was great!

I am a Property Manager at Best Property Management and I have been able to use RB Handyman several times and various properties. I have used RB Handyman to do a wide range of tasks for me.  Some of the jobs have been; appliance install, electrical rewiring, painting, sheet rock repair, door and jam replacement and even whole property renovations.  I have had a great experience every time.  They are very responsive and do quality work.  I will always go to RB Handyman, FIRST, before I call anyone else.

Frank came out and gave me a free estimate within 48 hours of my initial call.  The company was able to do everything on my list which included changing out a wall switch, putting up a new security light, fixing the broken hinge on my attic ladder, tearing out a bench seat and preparing the space for my new TV.  Don came to do the work with a couple of assistants - he was at the house every morning at 8am, completely prepared with needed supplies and did an excellent job.  I am so satisfied.  They were exactly on budget and left my house cleaner than they found it.  I have already referred them to 2 friends.

I just purchased my home and needed to get a ceiling fan installed along with the electrical wiring in one of my rooms on the second floor. Rick came and gave me an estimate and he was very informative and professional.

On the day of installation, Brian and one other person (choosing to exclude his name) came and did the work. Everything went smoothly except for the installation of the cover plate (the thing that covers the light switch, which was performed by the other person). the hole was cut too large so the cover plate did not cover the hole entirely.

If it weren't for Brian's customer service, I wouldn't be giving this five star rating. A few days later, he went and tried to place an order for a larger cover plate and came back twice to ensure I got the right one. In addition, some very light painting work had to be done to correct the other person's mistake which Brian did as well.

I understand some mistakes happen but with this company, they will fix the issue and not just leave you hanging or ignore your calls. This was the first job with this company and it won't be my last. Brian and Rick did a great job.

I had a leaking bath faucet. and hired a plumber to fix it.  He replaced two valves and after he left, I discovered the shower did not work.  At a neighbor's recommendation I called RB, and a man named Frank showed up.  He advised me to go to HD and buy a diverter kit.  He even showed me how to remove & replace it.  He did not even charge me.   I will use this company again, and I highly recommend them.

I found this company on Yelp and based on all the positive reviews hired them to install some cans lights. Their business model works by sending out an experienced contractor to review your project and sell you on their abilities and once agreed upon and an upfront check has been secured they then sends out an inexperienced layman to try and complete the job. In my case I was assured Danny had the skills to install can lights yet after the first day it was obvious that all the lights he installed where clearly off center. I contacted the owner several times to address this problem and he never returned my calls and when someone from the company finally did come out and saw that indeed the lights were not aligned they wanted more money up front to address his mistake.

I cannot recommend this company at all because I feel it says more about a companies integrity as to the way they address a problem than it does getting a project done right and in this case they had there money up front and clearly felt they could walk away.

BTW I got an electrician to re-install the lights property and the estimate from a drywall company to fix the holes was close to $700.00.    

If you are going to take a chance with a handy man company try someone else.

This is going to be lengthy, so if you don't want to read the whole thing let me say 1) I will always go to RB Handyman for my needs first (and subsequently recommend them) and 2) if he is available I would have Don do the work.

We looked at reviews and sent a message out to Rick. He was prompt in his response and quick to come over to bid the job.  We settled on the scope and the price and set the date. The the fun began... we had A LOT of difficulty with our cabinet makers (but that's a different less favorable review) wrong cabinets, delay after delay, and all the while rick and his crew worked with us to reschedule or work around the delays. The quality of the work was outstanding and in the end we couldn't be happier.

Now about Don. Don was the crew member assigned to our project. He was on time everyday. He was professional, conscientious, patient, tidy, a perfectionist... there aren't enough adjectives to describe his level of quality. He made recommendations when he thought something could be done better, and he took his time to make sure his work was right. He felt like a member of the family.

Rick Burgard is an excellent contractor that runs an excellent crew. All of my future needs big and small will be done by RB. Without exception.

I hired Rick and his team to build a complete custom project from ground up. Two tables that can be joined together to make a single 10ftX4ft train lay out. When separated, the tables have lids that bolt on and transform them into two traveling trunks for transportation.

With no schematics or documentation, Rick and his team where able to transform the idea to reality. Great quality and craftsmanship!

I requested a tile repair for my 89 year old mom  and felt comfortable sending their estimator & repair technicians to her home. I appreciated they took the time to look at the job in advance and provide a written estimate. The business owner Rick is very professional, helpful and personable over the phone. His estimator Frank explained the process & time needed to complete the job very clearly to my Mom and the service technicians did a great job!  I would definitely use their services again in the future.

First time Yelp has failed me.  Vanity was not installed properly. Toilet and sink are
still leaking!  Now I have to redo the whole bathroom cos it wasn't done correctly!  Overpriced!

Danny and Don showed up this morning to do some work on the exterior of our house. They showed up early and snapped into action. They did more than the planned work for the same quoted price. Great work guys! If you need help on a project, they're the best!

I am a Property Manager at Best Property Management and I have been able to use RB Handyman several times and various properties. I have used RB Handyman to do a wide range of tasks for me.  Some of the jobs have been; appliance install, electrical rewiring, painting, sheet rock repair, door and jam replacement and even whole property renovations.  I have had a great experience every time.  They are very responsive and do quality work.  I will always go to RB Handyman, FIRST, before I call anyone else.

Frank came out and gave me a free estimate within 48 hours of my initial call.  The company was able to do everything on my list which included changing out a wall switch, putting up a new security light, fixing the broken hinge on my attic ladder, tearing out a bench seat and preparing the space for my new TV.  Don came to do the work with a couple of assistants - he was at the house every morning at 8am, completely prepared with needed supplies and did an excellent job.  I am so satisfied.  They were exactly on budget and left my house cleaner than they found it.  I have already referred them to 2 friends.

I just purchased my home and needed to get a ceiling fan installed along with the electrical wiring in one of my rooms on the second floor. Rick came and gave me an estimate and he was very informative and professional.

On the day of installation, Brian and one other person (choosing to exclude his name) came and did the work. Everything went smoothly except for the installation of the cover plate (the thing that covers the light switch, which was performed by the other person). the hole was cut too large so the cover plate did not cover the hole entirely.

If it weren't for Brian's customer service, I wouldn't be giving this five star rating. A few days later, he went and tried to place an order for a larger cover plate and came back twice to ensure I got the right one. In addition, some very light painting work had to be done to correct the other person's mistake which Brian did as well.

I understand some mistakes happen but with this company, they will fix the issue and not just leave you hanging or ignore your calls. This was the first job with this company and it won't be my last. Brian and Rick did a great job.

I had a leaking bath faucet. and hired a plumber to fix it.  He replaced two valves and after he left, I discovered the shower did not work.  At a neighbor's recommendation I called RB, and a man named Frank showed up.  He advised me to go to HD and buy a diverter kit.  He even showed me how to remove & replace it.  He did not even charge me.   I will use this company again, and I highly recommend them.

I found this company on Yelp and based on all the positive reviews hired them to install some cans lights. Their business model works by sending out an experienced contractor to review your project and sell you on their abilities and once agreed upon and an upfront check has been secured they then sends out an inexperienced layman to try and complete the job. In my case I was assured Danny had the skills to install can lights yet after the first day it was obvious that all the lights he installed where clearly off center. I contacted the owner several times to address this problem and he never returned my calls and when someone from the company finally did come out and saw that indeed the lights were not aligned they wanted more money up front to address his mistake.

I cannot recommend this company at all because I feel it says more about a companies integrity as to the way they address a problem than it does getting a project done right and in this case they had there money up front and clearly felt they could walk away.

BTW I got an electrician to re-install the lights property and the estimate from a drywall company to fix the holes was close to $700.00.    

If you are going to take a chance with a handy man company try someone else.

This is going to be lengthy, so if you don't want to read the whole thing let me say 1) I will always go to RB Handyman for my needs first (and subsequently recommend them) and 2) if he is available I would have Don do the work.
