Absolute Electric is the best of the best. This is why all reviews have a 5 star rating. Including this review. I had 4 led recessed lights and 2 ceiling fans  installed.  I love ,love the lighting . What a difference. I can read with ease. The dimmer  works for the recessed lighting and the ceiling fan. I had an additional ceiling fan installed in an upstairs bedroom.
He was definitely a perfectionist, which is demonstrated with his work.  He measured the area and consulted with me for my approval prior to placing lights and fans.
He completed the job in 1 day. Impressive. I asked Dave if he could possibly install a porch light at the last minute. He kindly obliged!
Dave completed all of this work at a reasonable price. He will be my go-to guy for all of my electrical needs.

I bought a brand new Tesla and was in desperate need of finding a company to install an electric charger as soon as possible. My friend highly recommended Absolute Electric so I reached out and scheduled an appointment (about a week out for booking). In the beginning, I was totally confused whether or not I needed the Tesla wall charger or the Nemah 14-50. After doing my research I went ahead with the installation of Nema 14-50.

The day of my appointment to people arrive to install my Wall charger in my garage. There was a small problem locating space in my breaker box but they quickly resolve the problem and had everything installed under an hour. They were very knowledgeable about Tesla and they're charging systems (which made me feel comfortable). It cost me around $500 with a year warranty in parts and labor. If you're looking to have a Tesla charger install definitely contact this company they are great.

We've hired David quite a few times to do electrical work at our house and hands down he is the best of the best! He is friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and does an all around great job. David is also very honest when it comes to his work. If you don't need to spend the extra money he will let you know.

We had a big job, a whole home rewire, and had gotten many quotes for the work. Dave's quote was reasonable and fell in the middle of pack. What I appreciated about Dave's quote was that he took the time to walk through the house and itemize each task. Most of the other companies just gave an estimate using sq footage. Dave was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and honest. He embraced changes that we asked for and was super easy to work with (great attitude). He also went above and beyond with our kitchen as we plan on remodeling in the future and he helped us plan out our cabinet layout. The work was completed ahead of schedule, is of great quality, and looks awesome! I highly recommend! Replacing hanging light with ceiling fan where we also needed the correct junction box installed to support the fan.

Installing a ceiling fan in a room where there was existing junction box in the ceiling.  He had to run electrical through the attic and even let us know that there was no rodent activity up there in case we were wondering.

He took his own time to explain how it can be diagnosed by resetting the circuit breakers such that we don't need to pay him to come and do the same. He talked to me by phone, requested photos of the job area, told me our options, and gave a price by text. When we were ready to schedule the job he had prompt availability, showed up on time, and gave his opinions of ways to do it on site, and we ended up choosing what he suggested.

I called David for some help with my smoke alarm circuit breaker tripping. He picked up later in the evening and explained in detail what are some of the reasons of my issue. He is very knowledgeable and honest. I highly recommend David for any electrical work.

Dave was an absolute joy to work with-- very responsive and very timely. I contacted him via Yelp in regards to getting some wiring done for our house built in the 60s so we could connect some security cameras around the house. He contacted me within 24 hours and informed me all that he needed to give him a better idea of what was needed. My husband and Dave corresponded over a week since we needed quite a bit of work done.

Dave was very easy to talk to and very personable. He also gave us information about parts of the house that we were thinking of redoing, which turned out we didn't need to do, so that saved us a ton of money. He also gave us a great deal for all the work he did. He spent about 8 hours at our house and was super respectful and communicative the entire time.

Dave was able to come out the same day I called him. He had to charge Premium rates for it, but he came in, assessed the damage and was really thorough in his explanation of what he was fixing. I had some trouble with the GFI outlets in my house tripping and not resetting. called them on Monday morning.  They said that he should be there in the afternoon. They were there by3:30
The job was done by 6 and after replacing the GFI in the garage and replacing a few other outlets and a few other issues everything is working great!

The gentlemen I spoke with was rude said he's pulling up to amazon can you call me back. Why did you call me back if your intentions were going to a job site. Brush me off. I wouldn't was my time with this contractor.

This company is great. I made an appointment for an electronically issue I was having with two outlets. Dave responded quickly to my yelp request and made an appointment for 12/31. On 12/30 he called and said he could come stop by within 30 minutes. He stopped by and fixed my issue within 30 minutes. He walked me through some electrical basics and was very professional. If there was a way to give him more than 4 stars I would.

They helped us put in an additional outlet in the bathroom (Aug. 2019) and the best part is that they helped us find the most economical way to accomplish this addition.   Plus they even helped us with an additional need we had in the house.  I'll certainly use them again for any electrical needs.

Dave responds promptly to queries, his quotes are reasonable, he is extremely knowledgeable and takes pride in his job. He has installed recessed lighting for me  and has also added a 240v outlet in the garage for car charging. Both jobs were done with utmost care and came out really well. Dave is awesome! I live in New Hampshire and have a rental house in Tracy.  HUGE PAIN!  Dave was super accommodating and quick to respond AND follow through!  He arranged an appointment with my tenant and sent pictures and information ...and dealt with PG&E since I couldn't be there.  He didn't try to oversell me on work either.  Dave is a kind person and very trustworthy.  He also did great work for my father who was very appreciative ...and also who couldn't figure out how to leave a review.  Dave even helped my older parents out before he left and didn't expect anything extra.  He's a good guy.  Call him.  Trust me.  I'm a mom.  I don't lie.

Called cause all my sockets in all my bathroom weren't working at all. After I explained to Dave what my problem was he was nice enough to give me a few things to check on before the service call. I checked what he had described and it was fixed. He gave up his service call money (that I was more than willing to pay) to help a guy out. I can not say enough what a stand up guy he is and if you need an electrician this is the first call I would make.

Dave installed our Ring flood light...and did some minor repair to one of our electrical outlet. He completed the install in a timely fashion and was very professional. I will definitely contact him for my next project.

Dave is awesome! He installed our egress exit signs at our preschool in Tracy (Little Investigators Preschool ) & we were quite impressed with our entire experience. He got us our proposal the same day he came out for the walk through, he scheduled with us within a few days, and was on time for our install! This review is long overdue, but my recent interactions with Dave reminded me I needed to write a review for him!! We've used Dave a few times for electrical work and he has always done a wonderful job.

When we first moved into our home two years ago we had an old style breaker box( I can't remember what the old style is called, but is was probably original to the home from the 60's). We called another electrician, but my husband couldn't stand him. Second we called Dave and he seemed like an honest down to earth guy.  We are so glad we hired him!

Dave gave us a few options regarding the breaker box issue and he got the new breaker box installed within a couple of days.  He was very professional and cleaned up any mess he'd made.  We also had him remove old lighting in the master bedroom and install can lights. He also upgraded a few plugs to GFI's so we were compliant.

After living in our home for two years we were ready for some other lighting improvements. We didn't hesitate to call Dave.  Recently he removed the old wall sconce in our hallway that provided very little lighting and installed 2 can lights.  He also added a new bathroom fan and replaced the fan in another bathroom.  In one of the dining area's we had the old light removed add replaced it with two can lights.  In addition our living room had no lighting so we had been using these old standup lights. Those ugly lamps are now gone and have since been replaced with 4 new can lights with a dimmer.  It's been a few weeks since Dave installed the can lights in the living room. I never realized how much I needed light in our living room!

I prospected a few electricians and proposals didn't have huge variations but Dave stood out in his holistic and professional approach.  We talked over options and a couple days later received the quote and scheduled the work.  He arrived on time, finished on schedule and did an outstanding job.  Our home is older but he did a great job of working with the idiosyncrasies you'd expect of a dated place.  Also loved that he kept the area clean and made it a priority to communicate with me at every meaningful step.  Recessed Lighting makes our place much more inviting now.

Moved to East Bay in December 2013. Dave came to us through a trusted channel - a referral from our A/V Consultant. We initially hired Absolute Electric as a 3rd party contractor to wire our home theater (surround speaker wiring, Plasma TV wiring/mounting and providing the correct power to run the system). When we realized that our new home had limited recessed lighting and what was here was old incandescent, Dave removed all the existing lighting, retrofitted new LEDs and also installed over a dozen new LED recessed lights. Dave is a pro, his work is clean and he delivers on your expectations.

One of the recessed lights started flickering (bad LED Driver) 5 months after install, we contacted Dave and he was out to replace the fixture w/in days. He guarantees all his work. We'll be reaching out to Dave next time we need electrical work. He is the best.

I called Dave their owner to ask him to come out and check my alarm system as it was going off every time I would plug in a light for my sons science project in the same room.  He was very honest and told me that it was my wired smoke detector that needed to be replaced and that it wasn't a short.  I was insistent that it was a short but he explained confidently that it was the smoke alarm.  If you want to use a company thats owner will tell the truth even when it will cost money by missing out on a potential call pick this company!  Oh and by the way he was right, was the alarm.

He arrived and started work when he said he would and was also professional and courteous.  His work is clean and I would hire him again in a heartbeat.

Called Dave out for an estimate to install an electrical panel for my workshop. Although I have not seen the estimate yet, I am very impressed with the way Dave handles himself knowing that I plan on doing most of the work to save a little money. He never let it bother him as he won't be making as much as if he does the whole job. He stated that he will separate the estimates based on what I plan to do and if he was to do them. I see a lot of contractors that get upset when a homeowner wants to do most of the work, but calls them out to pick their brain. He did not get upset, but continued Business as usual and I really appreciated that. I will decide in a couple of days whether or not to use him but, I will definitely recommend him to anybody that asks. If I decide to use him, I will write another review based on the actual work

We used Dave and crew to distribute power and advise on the electrical requirements of our new manufacturing facility.  He completed the large job on time and on budget and even went out of his way to come back in and hard wire the electrical into our machines once they were delivered.

Beyond that Dave is a really nice guy and extremely trustworthy and genuine.  Highly recommended for commercial work.  We didn't want to paint over any of his conduit because it was so beautifully done.  We have no need to look for another electrician for future projects.  Dave is the man!

Dave did a great job.  I had two problems.  First a short in the house which darkened a room.  Second, I had bad wiring in the attic which was done by the previous owner.

Dave found and fixed the short very quickly.  Second, he worked his butt off in the attic fixing a number of issues.

I really struggled finding an electrician.  I couldn't be more satisfied with Dave and Absolute Electric.  I'd recommend him for his hard work, good prices, and great attitude.  Thanks Dave!

We had a fluorescent problem in the garage that need to be trouble shooted and fixed.  Lights out as switch was flipping breaker.

Dave was prompt, friendly and did a great job of figuring out the problem in a timely manner.  He explained what the issue was, combination of old ballasts and screwball wiring by the PO.

He also showed some other previous shortcuts that will eventually need to be fixed.

The price was reasonable.  I had him take down all the old fixtures and odd shaped inefficient bulbs.

I later went to HD and got all new fixtures and installed all kinds of T8s everywhere.  Now the garage looks like an art gallery!!

Going forward I will use Dave and Absolute electric for any electrical needs.  I will also refer him to a couple of my real estate buddies so they can use him for their RE needs.

Dave was super helpful in helping us prioritize things that needed to get done. He was very thorough and patient in explaining things, and also pointed me to the website that helped explain terms in more detail as well. On the initial quote day and the day he came by to do the actual work, he was extremely punctual, which is pretty rare to find - everyone else seems to run behind schedule or provide vague windows of time.

We just had Absolute Electric upgrade the electrical circuits in my mother's greater than 40 year-old home in Hayward.  Dave, the owner and his team were very professional, competitive with their prices, and took the time to explain everything that would be needed to bring her home up to code.  

He was very knowledgable, organized, and consistently came when he said they would.  He answered all of our questions competently, clearly explaining the rationale for the work that was needed, the pricing and any options. I never felt that he was pressuring us into adding any extras, but explained the issue and let us make the decision to move forward with the fixes that would bring the house to code safely.

He was flexible, and took on additional jobs, such as switching out a chandelier, for a fair price. He documented all of his work clearly and cleaned up after himself.  I was so impressed that I want to hire him to upgrade the electrical in my Fremont home! Highly recommend.

My kitchen outlets, fridge, and furnace went out while cooking dinner last night. Too many appliances running at the same time, maybe? I tried everything I could think of, flipping all the switches in the circuit breaker panel, pressing the reset button on my outlets. No effect, so I called Absolute Electric.

Dave at Absolute Electric was great. Over the phone, he had me try a couple things to see if he could save me the visit. When those didn't work, he was at the house within 20 minutes. He quickly diagnosed the problem, and had the proper equipment in his truck to fix the problem. He was finished within an hour.

I found David when I was searching the Internet for an electrician to do some electrical work for my business, replacing ballasts in 20 lighting fixtures. All the reviews that I found stated that he was reasonably priced and very professional.

I contacted him and received a quote for performing the electrical and found that his prices were very reasonable and that, like the other reviews, was very courteous.

Other companies I contacted wanted me to clear out our manufacturing area, so that they could bring in a scissor lift to access the lights and David said that he could do it without having to disturb our operations and that he can access them on a ladder, without moving anything! He was here, along with another person, the day we contracted him for and not only took care of our ballasts, but rewired several of our emergency lights so that they worked properly without charging anything extra.

He did such a great job for me at my business that I talked to him about doing some work at my home. I don't like to have strangers in my home, but I really felt comfortable with them and David's ethics of doing what is needed and not overcharging because he can, that I will be having them add a sub panel and rewire several circuits.

I would highly recommend David and his employees to do any work you need for your business or your home.

Made the call and spoke to the owner Dave.  Very friendly and gave a competitive and accurate estimate.  No bs or tap dancing.  Honest and upfront.  He and his installer Casey gave extremely fast service that day and worked around my schedule.  I am pleased with his service and will have him do future electrical jobs.  Highly recommend.

My wife and I were talking the other day, and mentioned Absolute Electric for their good work.  She asked me if I had written a review and I thought I had, but it turns out I hadn't.  Anyways, as you can tell from my rating of Dave and Absolute Electric, we were impressed with this company.  We had another contractor install lighting in our kitchen, and due to other problems we had, decided we needed another set of eyes to look over their work.  I found Absolute on Yelp and called.  Dave came over and showed me what was done wrong and explained the fire hazards they created.  Needless to say I hired Dave to fix the problems and the difference was night and day (no pun intended).  The wiring was neat and up to code, and we have had no problems whatsoever the past 2 years.  (PS.  I took the money I had to pay Dave out of the final payment to the other contractor).  
About a year later the company where I work needed some electrical work done and I thought of Absolute.  Dave came out and completed the work professionally once more.  A few employees commented that they liked him and his work.  Again, the problems that previously existed are gone and everything looks neat. These guys were easy to deal with.  Came when they said, told me upfront that troubleshooting might take a while so offered a less expensive fix,they really knew their stuff.  Gave a complete write-up so that I could purchase replacement fixtures and went to alot of trouble to replace all the light fixtures that were hard to reach.

Absolute does great work, the are also very professional and are a great value. I recommend them for all of your electrical needs. The owner is very nice and he has an apprentice that is great as well.

Great experience working with Dave of Absolute Electric. Dave is prompt, courteous, knowledgeable and affordable. I had a small issue with my kitchen florescent light and while he was here, I asked him about doing some additional work. After his investigation of my electrical system, we determined that I needed some upgrades to bring my aging system up to code, but never with any pressure to do the work. Dave installed all new plugs and switches for my entire townhouse as well as doing some additional safety upgrades. We hired Dave to do some electrical work on a wall where we wanted to put up a TV. He was very professional, came out right away, assessed the job and was very prompt with finishing it. We had him come out one other time to take a look at our electrical box which he tells us probably needs to be replaced. Other electricians just want to make money and would try to sell you on something even if it's not totally necessary. PG&E pointed out we nearly had a broken stud in our main panel.  I had never used Absolute or any electrician before.  I got a decent first quote from a recommended place, then a quote for $1500 more from another company with big ad in our yellow pages.  Absolute Electric was the 3rd place I called.  Dave sounded very knowledgable on the phone and asked me to text over a pic of the damaged stud.  His same day estimate was very good and he was available.  Dave explained what was going to happen during the job and kept us informed.  They completed the prep work as said, and showed up on time the day of the big job that required coordination with PG&E.  They did a great job and everything has worked fine for over a year now.  We had Dave for another job to wire in a 20A dedicated circuit and that was good as well.  So, his prices are fair, he's a cool guy, very experienced and most of all, does good quality, up to code electrical work.
