Best Electric Furnace Installation in Seattle WA

Strands Electric Electrician
Had a great experience with Dany. His expertise, professionalism, and speed were impressive.  I've worked with several contractors in the past, but no electricians.  The experience Dany delivered was better than all others.  He was highly respectful of my home (he wore those booties whenever inside - and never asked if he needed to) and always provided good ideas and solutions to my problems.

I had him running the full day doing all the electrical work that's been stacking up at my house over the years.

* Running a new line through the attic to power in-floor heating for the upstairs bathrooms (test & setup)
* Split the line and run to the master bathroom (in anticipation of when I can get around to installing that heated floor)
* Got rid of ghost switches in three rooms and plumbed new lines and installed new fixtures in each room.
* Installed under-cabinet LED lighting and connected all the lines to run off a single switch (lines were connected over the sink, through the ceiling).

I'm installing a whole house fan next... once I've got the box installed, I'll have him back to setup the wiring!

He knows his trade well - if you want to know a good electrician, look no further.

Treat's Heating and Cooling Electrician
I have had Treat's service my furnace every year for many years! They are always quick to schedule my appointment and their service men are always friendly, and very efficient! They explain what they have done, wear shoe covers in my home and my furnace has run great for years!

Washington Energy Services Electrician
I am not easily impressed, but this company is outstanding! I requested bids to install an EV charger from 4 different companies, 1 of whom was a no-show. Brent from Washington Energy was by far the most thorough and professional and gave me complete confidence that they were the right company to hire. Daniel and Cornelius did the install and they were on time, polite, professional, efficient and finished earlier than estimated. They did a great job and the city inspector confirmed that they did an excellent job. I would absolutely hire this company again! The interactions I had with everyone in this company were above and beyond - I'm definitely impressed.

Seatown Electric Plumbing Heating Air Electrician
I needed one outlet installed. Took five weeks to come for an estimate. I was told the day before that if we were the first appointment I would be informed the night prior. No communication until I got an alert at 7:30am letting me know they will arrive at 8am. Tech arrived and was very nice. Said he could not do the work now and could come back with someone to help but that would not be for 4-6 weeks. Next he hit some buttons on his tablet and showed me the estimate of $990 to install one GFCI outlet. It was not a new circuit. It was one outlet that could be tapped off of another outlet in the same room. Insane. Went to Home Depot. Got the materials and my 11 year old and I did it together for $50 and 2 hours on a Saturday. I understand labor is at a premium but there is a limit.

Tapps Electric Electrician
Tapps Electric is either incompetent, dishonest, or both. The owner Will is rude, unhelpful, and does not care about customers. I lost count of how many times Tapps Electric provided false information and did not return calls and messages left to the office. Multiple estimates for different jobs I received were incomplete or contained false information. Due diligence and professionalism were totally absent. Only after work finished and failed was I told that if I wanted anything to actually work, it would cost 4x the original quote, even though everything was identified before work started. Either it was known the planned job wouldn't work but work proceeded anyway, or it should have been known the job wouldn't work based on the facts that were identified in advance. Those explanations reduce to dishonesty or incompetence. The owner says it's not their problem. Responsibility appears to be a foreign concept to Tapps Electric.

In addition to the false information, general incompetence, and waste-of-your-time  owner, Tapps Electric technicians also quit the company and left in the middle of a job, damaged my interior walls, left behind giant messes of debris and garbage each time at each site, left the job as done when it wasn't, caused my overhead wires to smoke and burn which could have burned down my garage, no-showed on appointments to troubleshoot a failed installation after I had paid in full, and wouldn't return phone calls about the no-shows. This install was supposed to take one day, and instead it took more than two months of failed visits, unreturned calls, and no-shows for the owner to say 'too bad, we took your money and nothing works, and we knew it wouldn't work or should have, but that's your problem'.

Do yourself a favor and avoid Will and Tapps Electric.

Allred- Heating Cooling Electric Electrician
it's dead winter and my heat did not work the tech came out on a sunday. And was super nice. After he was done he found the problem and told me maybe running the a/c this summer put stress on the Fan Capacitor and now it's given out. Unfortunately it was not the a/c systems full fault so I would have to pay for today's repair of $850.00.After examining the bill realized it was a total of ($850) $269 to diagnose and $550 for the part and rest taxes or so. I put in the part number that I was paying for and realized this part only cost $9.00 on Amazon. But per the tech it's because it's after hours on Sunday I'm paying so much more. Consider myself pretty easy going but did not see myself paying 6000% more for a part. Something felt icky about that. A $9.00 part for $550???? Tech was cool...said he would still have to charge me the $269 plus tax for diagnosing it but I'm able to get the part my self if I don't want to pay that much. Understandable paid the $270 he took the part out.
At the end of the day was kind of left feeling sad that the human thing did not happen. Just spent 11-12k with All Red 5 months ago. Went through the hoops with them over getting city inspection done. And now it's 30 degrees outside and they unscrewed a $9.00 part and left me and my family in the cold. Just had a hard time swallowing that. But totally understandable it's their business and they technically did nothing wrong but would have loved to see some humanity. Nothing against the tech he's just following the rules but they should sometimes let them do what feels right not what the book says. And if the A/C put more stress on the fan capacitor then really it could have gone both ways. But I liked the technician and did not want to argue that fact. Totally feeling bad about this it's my first 2 start review I have ever given. Like they say it's always the service after that sets a business apart from the other.

Allred - Heating Cooling Air Quality Electrician
Don't fall for their tune up scam, it's just a waste of $200.  All they did was take pictures of my HVAC system and send them back to me in an email report that somehow justified $200 worth of labor and technical expertise.

Mercurio's Heating & Air Conditioning Electrician
Mercurio's was an excellent experience. Especially compared to the previous company, which I'm now convinced only hired sales people and not HVAC technicians (check my reviews, you'll see who they are).

Thom came out this morning and was friendly and polite from the get go -- wearing his mask you could still see him smiling (it's all in the eyes). My 82-year-old Mom approves.

He answered our plethora of questions, many about what we can do to keep our system running efficiently. He explained things very well. No attitude or obvious frustration with our continued questions.

Highly recommend. I can't wait to see Thom for our next annual checkup.

Tried to set up a appointment, first time the receptionist forgot to officially booked my appointment, which cause no one to show up to my home, the following appointment time which was set for Friday. The technician texted me and said he had an emergency and could not make it.

Resicon Heating and Air, Plumbing & Electrical Electrician
I recently had Resicon install an electric furnace for me. I am very impressed with this company, the two men, Bryan and David, who did the installation were efficient, knowledgeable and very courteous. They were very respectful of my home and I believe went over and beyond their duty as installers. Later I had occasion to meet with Jason, who also represented Resicon extremely well. I would recommend this company with no hesitance.

As a side note I am 87 and the owner or Resicon has been very pleasant in trying to help me learn to work with my new thermostat. Thank you Resicon.

Hunt's Services Electrician
Excellent service, awesome work. We just bought a big old house and finding a good plumber really brings me peace of mind. The price was great. They were quick to respond and set up an appointment. Aaron came out yesterday and ran a gas line to the range and installed a new water heater. He's really knowledgable and answered all my questions about future projects I need done. I learned so much from him!

I've purchased doors, a furnace, and an air conditioning condenser unit from WES.  For the most part, they've been great.  There was a time, in 2014 when no one would return my calls, so I had to call another company to service my furnace, but WES got their act together and have provided prompt service since.

My issue is with their furnace filter 'program'.  I have a non-standard filter, so WES is about the only place to purchase one.  If you sign up for the one-year program, you pay for TWO filters immediately.  You don't get TWO filters immediately, you only get one, then they mail you the second about six months later. I called today to schedule a maintenance call for my furnace/air conditioner and asked if I could buy TWO furnace filters at once at the 'program' price and have the technician bring them both with him/her.  I was told No, you must sign up for the program to get the program price!  The person I spoke with said it was more convenient for THEM.  Really, for THEM?  I'm the customer. I don't have ANYTHING delivered to my front door because I don't want anything stolen, so I have to have it delivered to my office.  I doubt I'll be working at the same place in six months, so that just doesn't work for me.

I'm willing to pay for two filters at once, but at the 'program' price.  What is so difficult about that.

I guess I need to do more research to find a different source for my filters in the future.

W.E.S. used to be an honest company but that has evidently changed- at least in the branch that sells & services furnaces.  For twenty years I've trusted them and they've done good work on more than one project here at the house.  However, two days ago, on a routine furnace-maintenance visit. their tech seriously misinformed me about the state of my furnace.  He led me to believe it was malfunctioning (giving off high levels of carbon monoxide) and would need to be replaced.  Over the next two days I got new readings from two other companies who found that the furnace was old, but, working just fine, and that if it had been giving off such high levels of CO other measures would have had to be taken immediately.  When I reported the 'error' to W.E.S. they sent out a new tech whose reading agreed with the other two companies and he lightly explained that his meter will have to be recalibrated.   So one star for good work in other departments - worth more than one; but a minus-several for their furnace division.

Even after 9 months of installation they are still struggling to get permit from City. I had to send 50+ email and phone calls follow-up and still issue is not resolved. They make false commitments and just delay the process. I am still in discussion to get the issue resolved and if it wont work out next step would be to sue them for failing on agreement (Fortunately I have  legal assistance plan provided by my employer, which I will make use of).

South West Electrician
I see a ton of negative reviews on here, but that was not my experience. South West Plumbing sent someone out within about 90 minutes of our Monday morning phone call. Pretty simple issue: clogged drain. Mark was friendly, professional, cool with my dogs, and fixed the clog quickly. I see a lot of stuff on here about pricing, but Mark reviewed the quote before doing the work, so there were no surprises about cost. We would use them again. Also, Mark, you left your safety glasses in our kitchen, in case you're missing them!

I had the company come out because my inducer motor seized up. They came out and inspected the motor and the heat exchanger. I was told the heat exchanger was cracked and they quoted me a price for a new furnace. Something didn't seem right so I called another company to get a second opinion. They inspected the heat exchanger for 45 minutes and found no cracks at all. When dealing with these companies I will always get a second opinion!

DEAR Services: Electrical, Plumbing, Heating & Cooling Electrician
I would recommend calling someone else.  Here's the story.  My (quarantined) mother in law was coming in for Christmas and the guest room shower had no hot water.  The Dear Services plumber came out and said it would cost $2,300 for the repair.  This is a $150 - $250 part and took the plumbers about an hour, maybe two to fix.  I was out of time so I hired them to do the work.  While the plumbers were out here, the pressure gauge on our well water line *suspiciously* broke.  Now we have no water at all.  The quote on this was $1,000.  It's a $50 to $100 part and took about 1/2 hour to fix.  Again, I didn't have time to get another plumber out before I needed to have water.  In all, they charged about $3,000 for something like 3-4 hours labor plus the parts.  Even so I would not have written this review but when I asked for an invoice with labor and materials broken out on it that I could submit to my homeowner warranty company for at least partial reimbursement,   they would not provide it even after I escalated my multiple requests to the owner.  I have reported this company to the Better Business Bureau.
