Pat was responsive, arrived EARLY (never happens), and fixed my problem quickly. I never felt jerked around or like he was trying to game me, and the pricing was straightforward. I asked him some questions about a separate issue and he showed me some things I could do to fix it myself to try and help save me some money. I will 100% use them again for any future plumbing issues.

Wow! These guys are amazing! My washing machine pipes were totally frozen on a Sunday afternoon. I called them and the came in 20 min and got right to work with a fancy electric pipe warmer and quickly thawed my pipes. They were very professional and wore booties to keep my  house clean and even cleared my floor drain and filled the trap before leaving a set of hoses for me to keep the water dripping so the pipes won't freeze again. Great guys! Highly recommended. Will definitely keep their number handy.

Thomas came out to handle a last-minute issue in a rental of mine. He arrived early, was efficient, did the diagnostic work quickly and began work immediately. His price was competitive and overall it was a really good experience, which is very important when one calls an emergency plumber! I will definitely use Chicago Sewer and Drain Professionals again!

While this wasn't a perfect experience, I was happy with Sound Plumbing.  Originally I sent a picture of the cast iron flange in a guest bath I needed repaired and they gave me a quote.  When it came time for my appointment, they called and asked if they could come an hour early.  I rearranged my day to accommodate... then waited half an hour past the earlier time they were supposed to come.  But when they did show up, the guys were friendly and professional.  Got straight to work.  Being nice to my overly-friendly dog made up for the lateness.  They installed a new flange, and it was so well done we joked about not setting the toilet at all so I could just show guests the flange.  However they did slightly chip the tile, and if anyone looks closely enough the chip is visible even with the toilet installed.  Then I got the bill, which was almost 3x as much as I was quoted.  At no point was I informed about the cost going up so much.  The owner did review the bill for me, explained why it had been more than expected, and brought the price down to meet me somewhere in the middle.

Ultimately the work was as beautiful as a closet flange can be and these guys are clearly good at what they do.  And I completely understand that a cast-iron flange in a 100 year old building gave them more trouble than your average repair.  I would probably even use Sound Plumbing again, because the guys were great.  But I have to dock a star for asking me to rearrange my day to show up early, then not showing up much earlier.  And for the fact that no one told me either before, during, or after the repair that it was going to cost so much more than I'd been quoted, until I got the bill.  I really appreciate the owner working with me on the cost, but I feel like you should be warned at some point if the bill is going to be more than 10-20% over.  And DEFINITELY if it's going to be 300% of the quote.

Jesus replied quickly to my quote request to fix my clogged garbage disposal. He was able to come within an hour and a half and fixed it up in no time.

He gave me advice for how to keep things draining and clean.

I decided to ask him to take a look at a few other projects I have in mind, including a sump-pump backup battery. He took a look and saw that a piece of my current sump pump had broken off and my water was high. He fixed the unit with a temporary fix, drained the water, and did it for free.

I'll definitely be using Jesus for my future needs - he was friendly and knowledgeable - and, importantly, shared his knowledge with me so I can take care of my home.

There's a reason why this is a five star business. I called on Green Tech to help with a gas leak at my property.  Green Tech's communication was awesome but I think they possess one thing that most companies don't.  The techs that show up to your site are super nice and really knowledgeable. Over the course of 10 years we have experienced numerous attitudes, particularly because of my lack of knowledge in this arena (which is why I called them in the first place).  The fix was so obvious and something I should have just finished with the turn of a wrench but I couldn't figure it out. I was still talked to with some dignity. Thanks Green Tech, hopefully I never have an issue but if I do I look forward to calling you again.

Darrel responded quickly, was able to be at our place within the hour, and installed our Ring Floodlight in about thirty minutes.  We did not have a proper junction box installed by our building contractors so he was able to fix this for us.  No complaints - installed correctly and is working!

Dmitry was quick to respond to our call Monday evening when our bathroom drain was clogged and my husband couldn't fix it with drano or a snake. He sent Lenny the next morning who wore a mask and put booties on so our floors wouldn't get dirty. Lenny was very professional and knew what he was doing! Excellent service. I contacted Victor after a contractor told me I may need to dig up my floor surrounding a pipe in order to fix a problem. I don't write a lot of Yelp reviews, but Bert deserves another shout out! He was the second guy we had come to fix the kitchen drain. After getting a handful of quotes to install two bathroom faucets, I decided to hire Plumbing Pros. Gary's quote was the most reasonable. They seem to have done a good job overall, but it was hard to communicate with them. He came fairly quickly to give me a quote and explained everything he was going to do. He seems very knowledgeable about his job and gave me a good price. However, he must be very busy because after I agreed to the quote it was hard to get answers to my questions. Then, he was supposed to return to finish putting the plate on the wall and to adjust the lights as they are motion lights and one of them only turns on for a second and then it goes off, so now I'm left with trying to fix those final minor things. I'm not handy man, so that's just annoying to me.
