Best Hot Water Recirculation Pump Installat… in Washington DC
Quickly responded to an inquiry, Leo's very experienced plumber showed up in a couple hours, diagnosed the problem and had a fix in place in no time. Would absolutely recommend them!!

I don't get Guy B's review, for a few reasons.
1) If the price wasn't worth it, then they didn't have to take the job
2) Gas work is dangerous as hell! It's a LIABILITY for a company bcuz if something goes wrong, the house can blow up. The cost of that just for liability alone, to even TOUCH the job, is worth the $400 alone.
As a scuba diver myself, I know that even with the most highly trained diver, sometimes equipment can malfunction or extenuating circumstances can occur that put the diver in a challenging or dangerous spot. And even the most professional trained cave divers sometimes do die (have an accident leading to drowning).
This doesn't mean the diver- OR in this case, a gas company- is unprofessional, or not skilled etc. It just means that equipment can malfunction and even the best person may once in a blue moon, make a mistake.
I don't think Guy B- in all his glory- would mess with a gas pipe that could blow up a house for just $100 bucks. If that's his thing, then hey, but I seriously doubt it.
Anyway, I don't think his review is reasonable whatsoever; I feel like he probably just doesn't understand or care to understand plumbing and gas, or respect the liability and seriousness of a job of that magnitude; so I wanted to give my 2c on it
I had this company fix a leaking pipe at our home and they did a good job finding the leak and stopping it within an hour. It was within the Insurance's companies expected cost so their pricing seems normal and fine. The service tech was friendly, helpful, and professional. I agree with DB's that some people just plain old fashioned hate blue collar people and think they don't deserve to earn a fair living like everyone else in this area. And that's a shame

Responsive and clear communication, professional service, competitive pricing. They installed 2 new toilets, removed the old ones removed, fixed a gasket on my dryer, and adjusted the tub drain. Great experience and highly recommend.

My husband and I began a recent search for a great plumber when our home warranty company failed to meet the mark. We turned to Yelp to seek a reputable plumber, with good reviews, and a quick turnaround time. Drain Works far exceeded our expectations! First, Jorge, the owner (and plumber extraordinaire), responded back to our quote request within moments and was available to come to our home within two days... sooner if we had been available.
Now, onto the good stuff. Our home is relatively old, 51 years to be exact, and we were down to 1 working bathroom, of the three available in the house. The first issue was the master bath; we'd been having problems with it since purchasing our home about a year ago; recurring stoppage, water backing up into the toilet and shower, yadda, yadda. Our home warranty sent four different plumbing companies... accumulating more than seven visits, to no avail. Matter of fact, they ultimately said they wouldn't cover it because they considered it a mainline issue. THEN, enter Jorge. And thank you, sweet baby Jesus. Jorge was able to clear the lines in the upstairs bathroom, finding a wad of towels or paper or other things we should just leave to the imagination, while none others had been able. I'm happy to report that a week later, we are still in business and fully functioning.
Next issue, our basement bathroom. The basement bathroom had sprung a leak around the base of the toilet. We tried to fix this one ourselves, thinking we just needed to replace the wax ring or something. But upon pulling the toilet, discovered that our original flange was broken and crumbling, resulting in a leak. We were fearful that this fix would require breaking up the concrete floor to replace the entire pipe and flange (old cast iron); however, Jorge suggested he could rebuild the existing flange because there was still enough intact. I'm thankful that he proposed a fix instead of a full bathroom renovation, and this too has been working successfully ever since. It's not often these days that we encounter people who are truly masters of their trade. PS - both jobs were completed in the same day.
Jorge was completely professional, courteous, and fair. Also, he was clean and respectful of our home. We would hire him again in a heartbeat! He will be our go-to plumber for any future needs.

I used this company to replace my water heater in my condo. Vince arrived and did an awesome job with the installation and everything else and even corrected a heating system issue. I would highly recommend this company and use them for any kind of plumbing project or problem. A very professional, friendly and knowledgeable company.

David came to our home to discuss installation of a water filtration system for our kitchen. Instead of simply selling me what I asked about, he interviewed me about the load the system would handle and about skin/hair health and water use in general. We purchased a home water filtration system instead so that our laundry, cooking, and bathing have the benefit of high-quality water. This is important because we drink a lot of tea and coffee through our instant hot water system, and lots of plain water, so clean water and ice was important. We also cook 98% of the meals we cook so again, healthy water is key. Lastly, my husband and 85 year-old mother had skin sensitivities before the home water filtration system installation, but no longer. And, I felt like the price--installation labor and materials--was fair. We've loved the system the two years we've had it. David recommended we set a calendar reminder for filter changing. The company is coming out soon to do that for us. Looking forward to having them and appreciate the enhanced quality of living David has provided with his expertise.

Not sure if they have changed the ownership. But I heard they changed the management. The quality of service reduced, it becomes pricy, and the people coming to our house aren't very knowledgeable. Stop using them for our plumbing and AC heating.

Elite Plumbing was a pleasure to work with - we had a leak coming in from outside, and they were able to diagnose the issue almost immediately and get us scheduled for repair. We went out for a few quotes and Elite gave us a great price for the same work, and were prompt and competent to complete the job. Couldn't recommend them more !

Lyons Plumbing handled an emergency sewage backup in my basement toilet. Work was great , very efficient and explained everything very well. PRICE was reasonable. Techs were friendly and very easy to talk to. Also , quite funny at times. Enjoyed some much needed laughs. Would definitely recommend and will be using them again.

I called Plump Right Plumbing later in the day, i thought they wouldn't come over until the next day. Brent came by immediately and stayed until the job was complete.
Since I'm giving up DIY plumbing Plumb Right will be my first call.

The faucet in our 1/2 bath leaked and the toilet needed an adjustment. Jack fixed them both. He was prompt and efficient. He was also very courteous.
This is the first time I have used this company and I will definitely use again. My husband is a Vet and we like to use Vet owned businesses.

Dennis was respectful of our home by wearing a mask and booties. He went above and beyond the plumbing job by helping me move and install our bathroom vanity. He was helpful in explaining all aspects of the job and even walked around the house with me to check out other problem areas and offer his advice. All around great service at a fair price.

This is the best plumbing service I have ever used. I recommend them to all of my friends. The are fast and affordable. They do all kind of work. Really talented people!

Cardinal is the best plumbing company around. They don't use contractors and their people are extremely competent, businesslike, and respond to your needs. Yesterday morning I called to make an appointment to install a cartridge in a tub shower. Nick K. came out and had the job done in a snap. It's now working perfectly. Whenever possible I always try to purchase the part on my own for any home repairs as it saves some money.

Extremely fast response time. Clean and professional. Price was very fair (shower drain, drain pipe, and trap replacement) and work was completed quickly. Would highly recommend to others.

Very happy with the service received. I have called the Plumbing Dr for other issues in the past and they continue to deliver. Dr. Toney was very professional, courteous and extremely knowledgeable. He explained what the issues and options were, and also what was involved. Everything was completed quickly and correctly. Would definitely recommend!

Wow... I could not have chosen a better plumber to solve my problems...I thought my water heater was going to have to be replaced...I had another plumbing service out the week before and was changed $800.00 for thirty minutes of snaking out a drain... didn't fix the problem...J. Hood came out on the recommendation of my neighborhood social media feed...they were prompt and professional...they located the problem in minutes...not my water heater but a line in my AC was the issue...they fixed it, cleaned up the water flooding and guess what, they didn't charge me anything because they said it was just a minor problem and I had already had a bad experience with the other highly advertised plumbing firm...I can't recommend J. Hood Services enough...a bright light of service, professionalism, and integrity!

Received an estimate for repairing and replacing outside drain by breaking concrete and repairing pipe up to 5ft into the home as needed. Estimate also including back-filling with concrete up to the previous level. I authorized the ESTIMATE OF SERVICE and the credit card was charged by the vendor 3 days before the work was scheduled and almost a full week before it was actually performed due to rain. After contacting vendor 2 days after the rains to obtain a schedule for the repair, I was advised that it would be the next day but the time estimate didn't seem certain. After having someone wait all day for the service, I advised the vendor that if repair wasn't performed by the rescheduled date, a new plumber would be contacted.
The work was done on the rescheduled date after 5pm. The actual repair required only replacing outside drain and 6-12 inches of pipe. SIGNIFICANTLY less work than estimated. When I inquired as to a discount for the service that was performed, I was advised that there are no discounts because the scope of work was with the anticipation of having to go further. I advised the vendor that the auto repairman doesn't charge me for what he could have done when the work turns out to be something different, and that I was disappointed, but learned a lesson. To that I received no response. Had I been there to monitor the work, I would have asked about revising the estimate and had I known there would be no change in the amount, I would have had them dig out and replace the full 5 feet of pipe to get my money's worth.
I advised the person who recommended this vendor that I was disappointed and would never use or recommend them for future work. She indicated that she had never received a negative response from any recommendation and I told her that I guess someone had to be the 1st.
The shame is that had the work been more than estimated, you can guarantee the vendor would have required additional payment. But since the service was less, I as the customer, am SOL. Sadly, not even the 10% discount from the vendors website was offered as a concession.
I would love to retain business cards and request or recommend repeat business by the service providers I've used, but after having dealt with 5 contractors in 5 years. I have yet to find 1 who doesn't do sloppy work or sloppy business.
This is my review. Take it for what it's worth.
