I am the guy who tries to do his own work, which typically means much more work for the professional. Dr. Jason came to my house and was courteous, understanding and was very clear in explaining the process, no questions. He also took care of a leak I had fixed several times. I would recommend the plumbing dr. to my friends and family and I recommend you ask for Jason.
The sign of a good plumber ( or any service provider) is how they make things right when they make a mistake. Plumbing Dr. did some work for me a few months back they missed a substantial problem that should have been done when the work was first done.
Plumbing Dr. worked with me to make sure I got the work done properly at a fair price given everything (including a leak in basement as a result). .
Dr. Brandon explained everything including what his colleague did wrong he was extremely professional and from what I can tell he did a very good job.

Quick response to my house for sewage ejector pump not working. They were able to come the same day I called.
I had an issue with the diagnostic/price I was quoted and Tony the service manager called and made it right.
Great service and customer service. They came in and fixed the issue in less than 24 hours from my call. Highly recommend them and will use them going forward. Dr. Larry was awesome and explained everything to me along the way as he was working. Most places are inflexible with their 1st hour charge followed by 1/2 hour charges. Dr. Larry spent an hour and ten minutes and agreed to prorate and not charge me the whole half hour! Overall, I had a great experience and would recommend them to friends and family.
The Plumbing Doctor is about as good as it gets. Pricing is fair, and below competitors. They work hard and clean up very well on their way out every time (more on this later!). Bill the owner is very knowledgable and really helped us out on a huge problem where a lot of people would have given up or charged us a fortune for a more serious repair.
I have been using the Plumbing Doctor for small repairs at our rental property since they will work nights and weekends (our other plumber we have used for decades won't). Plumbing Doctor has always been honest and quick to fix issues for us.
Recently I had the sewage in my personal house backup and needed help fast. Thankfully it was on the weekend and I went with the Plumbing Doctor and not the other plumber we have used for a LONG time. Bill worked diligently to clear the clog to no avail. He then came back out to dig up my yard and go at it a different way. He was able to clear the major clog with out a costly street repair of over $20K!!! After each of the many visits and many toilet removals they left a clean bathroom and reset the toilets properly, even though they knew they would be back the next day to remove it again. This is no small point! It was good for family morale, it protected us from a sewage leak on our floors if a kid flushed on mistake, and it is just good business. They also did a wonderful job at repairing my yard and landscape after the major work in my front yard.
With how expensive our problem was shaping up to be I decided to have a second opinion. I knew it would cost me double on some of the diagnostics, but I felt that it was well worth it for piece of mind that we were on the correct course. I had our longtime plumber come out to inspect the problem and give us a competitive quote for the work (never got to that). This company that rhymes with ooze came out and really disappointed us. The came with just a camera even though they knew it was backed up. The technician placed it two feet into the drain and stopped because he hit water I told him was there. He then charged me $350 for 10 minutes of his time. He was then going to leave with sewage on the floor and the toilet removed. He told me it wasn't a big deal because he would come back tomorrow with the correct tools. I told him no thanks just install the toilet and paid my bill. He never cleaned the floor, and he didn't instal the toilet properly.
Plumbing Doctor has just won a long time customer for their efforts over the last few weeks.
Thanks Bill, and crew.
You all did a great job.

I'm a first time reviewer for anything on Yelp (or other websites for that matter). But, The Plumbing Dr. impressed us so much, I had to finally write my first review for anything. We have tried several plumbers over the past 15 years or so in Fairfax and have never had such a great experience with a plumber as we did with Larry of The Plumbing Dr. We called late last Thursday to ask for an appointment on Friday to do an urgent repair on a leaking toilet and leaking bathroom faucet that were damaging the ceiling below. I also said we would like to have two sinks replaced with sinks we had purchased. Surprisingly, Tracy was able to schedule us in at 7:30am and said the plumber would call us prior to arriving. Larry called on his way and arrived precisely at 7:30am. When he arrived, I showed him the leaks and told him we actually had four faucets (three bathroom and one sink) to replace with new ones we had purchased. Larry realized he would need extra assistance so The Plumbing Dr. quickly sent him an assistant to help out with installing the new kitchen faucet and one of the bathroom faucets. The two plumbers fixed the leaks and installed the faucets in a little less than 4 hours (it was a really tough job, but I personally saw how hard they worked on these projects). They put some paper towels under the faucets and asked that we monitor them for post-installation leaks. I called late yesterday and asked if Larry could return and fix a couple of very minor leaks that showed up. Tracy quickly arranged for Larry's return visit. I wasn't home but my wife showed him the leaks, one of which turned out to be a crack in the piping, and he fixed them. He also checked out the garbage disposal which had made some unusual sounds after the faucet installation. No charges for anything on this return visit.
BOTTOM LINE: I was tremendously impressed by the immediate response to our request for an appointment, the quality workmanship, the superior customer service by the 'dispatcher' and the plumbers (especially, Larry), the very reasonable cost, and willingness to fix the leaks at no charge and check out the garbage disposal. I will call The Plumbing Dr., again, for any kind of plumbing work and will give very positive referrals to our friends, family, and neighbors!!!!! They are stars! Btw, I am a retired Navy Captain and Senior Executive in the federal government and can appreciate great work when I see it!

Completely unprofessional! We scheduled a free estimate between 12-2pm today, took time off work to be here, and they call us in the morning to tell us that the owner had changed his mind about the free estimate, that they rather have a technician come out and charge us a $69 dollar fee to look around. That was not the appointment we agreed on when we scheduled, and to change it last minute so that they can make $69 on us is completely unprofessional. Not to mention that there are a ton of companies that don't charge a fee at all to come out and take a look. Who wants to pay $69 then find out that their price to fix something is ridiculously high, no one! Also due to the last minute change of plans, I would never trust them to do what we agreed on, so I will be going with a company that doesn't play the bait and switch game!
Larry and Charlie were efficient, organized and took the time to explain the problem and solution. Each came for a different problem. Both spent the time trouble shooting and presented me with different options to solve the problem. The plumbing Dr. have a very good system of diagnosing and offer different solutions. Thank you!
Dr. Charlie repaired our outdoor rear faucet. He did an excellent job and the price was reasonable.
On a Sunday night Mike really fixed us up and solved our clogged kitchen drain that was overflowing with building grey water. Mike has extensive experience and know exactly what the problem was and how to fix it. I highly recommend The Plumbing Doctor...this is our second visit and both times I have been completely satisfied.

I contacted The Plumbing Dr when my gas hot water heater stopped working. Matt, the technician, arrived as schedule, thoroughly explained my options after his inspection, and was back the next day to replace the unit entirely. I am pleased with the quality of the work and the professionalism of the service.

We had a recurring plumbing problem where our main sewage line was getting clogged and would back up into our toilet, tub, and drain in our basement - after only being in our new house for about 4 months (pretty frustrating). The first time it happened we had a local plumber come in to snake the drain, which seemed to fix the problem, but only temporarily. This time we decided to try a larger plumbing company, since we knew with this being a recurring issue, we would probably need a snake that had a camera attached so we could see where the back-up was coming from. So, Dr. Larry showed up and came in willing to help us and go to any length to make us feel comfortable and confident we had made a good decision going with them. He even spoke with our home warranty company, since they covered the price for the snake (for a second time keep in mind), to explain to them what the pricing, and the servicing entailed. He was so helpful and knowledgable, we felt completely comfortable with Dr. Larry, that we plan on requesting him personally next time we have an issue - which I hope won't be anytime soon.
I would recommend anyone calling in to ask for Dr. Larry if you want efficient and honest service! Thanks again Dr. Larry!!
Drs. Matt and Francisco did a fabulous job saving our basement from the leaking water heater. I appreciated getting understandable advice on how to proceed with the replacement process. They are efficient and left no trace of their work at the end of the day.
Wanted to hire a local guy called twice and left a message requested a quote no response Dr Bill obviously doesn't even care to call and say he is too busy!
Got an appointment 2 days in advance, they showed up on time, snaked my drain for an hour, cleaned up after themselves, and charged me 255. Their price book seems a little arbitrary and you can't really tell if you are paying the right price, and I feel like 255 is a bit high for a drain snake, but they did a good job so 4 stars for them.
Great customer service! Larry of The Plumbing Dr was very courteous and professional; and was right on time for scheduled appointment to assess hot water heater issue. Very knowledgeable of products available and did not try to up sell when we discussed the product we were interested in and needed. Would highly recommend.
I called them for estimate to fix plumbing around solar water heater. I think the president came over and wrote down email etc. Never got the estimate or phone call back. I cannot recommend..

We had the Plumbing Dr (I believe Stephen) come to our third story apartment on a Tuesday to replace two valves. One week later I was contacted by the tenant on the first story saying there was water in her unit and that the second story neighbors were out of town so she wasn't sure if there was damage there as well. In a panic I called the Plumbing Dr back to see if they could send someone out to take a look and Philip came out within 10 minutes. He found a very small leak due to their team not tightening the valves correctly. A small leak that wasn't discovered for a week turned into a bigger problem. He fixed the issue quickly. He also determined that there was no damage to the second story unit.
We hoped that the first floor unit would dry out with no problem but the tenant called again today saying it wasn't drying properly. I've called the Plumbing Dr a couple times now hoping they could send someone with equipment to expedite the drying process so the water does not ruin the floors, mold, etc with no response so far.
This has been a disappointing experience only slightly improved by Philips amazing response time and speed to fix the issue.
Update: Philip worked really hard with us and the first story tenant to move furniture, bring fans an dehumidifiers, and dry the water damage. I heard today that the water is dry and there is no lasting damage. Thank you Philip for saving us from a crisis!

Dr. Liam came on time and was very professional. He stayed until all the work was completed and did a great job. I will use this company in the future for other plumbing issues.
Vanna, the plumber who came to my house on November 27, 2013, was friendly and professional, as was the woman who scheduled my appointment. He spent an hour and 40 minutes addressing multiple relatively straightforward plumbing issues (for example, a slow drain in the master bathroom sink, a leaky shower head). The firm uses a flat (per-task) billing rate and the initial bill came to $489. This works out to $292 per hour. After I negotiated with the firm, they reduced the bill to $331.
Mike and Lloyd did a great job fixing our burst pipe and fixing the mess of pipes that the builder left under our kitchen sink.
Mike explained to us various options we had, made a recommendation but did not push.
We were very happy with the service.
When I called, I was happy to talk to a live human, Mike. They were able to have somebody out here quickly on a weekend. Dr. Charlie called ahead to let us know he was in his way. He was prompt, polite, and professional. Dr. Charlie fixed the issue with the line of our hot water heater and got us up and running again. Yay!

We called to have a clogged kitchen sink fixed. Doctors Harold and Marcelo arrived the next morning, provided a detailed overview of possible service options, and recommended a plan of action. They were thorough and very professional, and got everything back to normal in a short amount of time.

I contacted The Plumbing Dr to reinstall our kitchen sink faucet after we changed our countertop and install a laundry sink faucet. The plumber came out and took 15 minutes to write up a cost option quote. The price was well over $1,000 per faucet!! I was so shocked as I was providing the faucets and the plumbing was existing. I understand construction as I am in the business and have never been presented with such a ridiculous price for a simple install. They even tried to charge me $68 for the visit and time to write up the proposal. Unbelievable and stay away.
We had Charlie show up for a clogged kitchen sink. Used booties to enter the house, explained the work and price beforehand. He was there for about 1 hour and cleaned up after the work was completed. Will use the Plumbing Doctor again.
Our kitchen sink was clogged. Harold came right in to get the work started. Needless to say, I was thrilled with how quick he was able to get the problem resolved. Harold was professional and very pleasant to speak with. The beset part, he cleaned up his work area prior to leaving. I appreciate that a lot...I would request Harold again! Thanks.

We had a leak in our garage. We called, Daniel who came out and told us it would cost several thousand dollars to fix. I asked if he could just stop the leak, and he said yes. The leak stopped for the moment, but about a week later, the leak started again. I called and asked for Daniel to come back out. He somehow became defensive, saying he never said the leak would stop. I asked what our $500 payment bought us. He said, I kid you not, we protected the area with a tarp, walked around the building looking for the water shut off valve, then shut the water off when we found it. He was incredibly argumentative and insulting.
UPDATE: Thank you for your response to my concern. How do you feel about the actions of your technician, Daniel? He has now called our business phone line, making rude and sarcastic comments. He has called repeatedly, asking to speak to the company owner. Is this what your technicians are trained to do? Harass customers who refuse additional work?
The service from Dr Esteban was fantastic : he was very knowledgeable about plumbing issues and told us every step of the way if there was going to be a change in cost so there were no surprises. He solved our clogged toilet by finding an issue that the condo building maintenance people couldn't figure out: toilet was installed incorrectly. All in all great service!
We had a plumbing emergency on a Saturday morning and the Plumbing Doctor was there to help. They stayed for eight hours and tried everything.
Even the president of the company came over to deal with the issues when his regular plumber gave him a call. The president was even wearing casual weekend clothes and was getting dirty trying to clear out a pipe that had tree roots damaging the pipes. They patiently answered our questions and tried to explain what was going on and what we needed.
I felt like they really were making a good effort and they did a good job patching things up until we can get more follow up work later to solve the problem for good.

What should have been an easy dishwasher install, took 4 hours. Dr. Jason patiently and politely worked to fix the problem - electrical wires installed backwards - and got our dishwasher up and running. Many plumbers would not have taken the time to figure it out. I was very impressed, especially after the horrendous service and laissez-faire attitude I got from the install guys who were originally supposed to install the dishwasher.

The Plumbing Dr. sent a plumber out to look at a leak in the pipe under my kitchen sink. I knew exactly where the leak was and knew that it was a matter of replacing the pipe. The plumber started out by criticizing how cheap and poorly-made my faucet was. His first quote was $2,000 but changed to $1,500 when I scoffed at the $2,000. When I told him not to fix it, he then quickly changed the quote to $700. At that point, I paid him the $68 estimate fee and asked him to leave. I felt so deceived. At the end, another major plumbing company fixed it for $245. It was a terrible experience.
Had two excellent experiences with The Plumbing Dr. recently.
First, I needed someone to come out and solder in a new toilet supply line when the old joint broke while I was replacing the valve. Dr. Talel showed up on time, did the work professionally, and not only made sure I knew how to install the new valve but also gave me a new one he had on him.
Second, Dr. Charlie came out to assess my toilet flange prior to installation of a new toilet (new floor put the flange about 1/3 low). I mentioned that I was prepared to install a Set-Rite (spacer system), but Charlie pointed out that the height difference was close enough to shape the wax ring so it was a little taller so it could seal the toilet properly. I had never heard of this, and the other plumber (from a different company) who had been out previously didn't mention doing that.
Charlie spent a couple of minutes carefully shaping the ring and then set the toilet. Since he was there and obviously knew what he was doing, I had him fabricate a drain line for my new sink and also install a faucet.
Obviously I could have saved money doing the drain myself, but it wouldn't have turned out as cleanly. And I never would have known about the wax ring trick. I consider this money well spent.
While The Plumbing Dr was responsive in setting my appointment and arriving on time, they would not fix my issue (leaking shower head). Instead Charlie pulled out a laminated, prepackage rate sheet of 5 bundled services ranging from ~$200 to over $1500. I was then informed that I could not select the least expensive bundle and that the cheapest option to fix my shower head drip was over $400.
Maybe this package of services was appropriately priced but why couldn't I just pay for the necessary service?? I called another plumber who fixed the drip for a total of $115 (and the replaced part was $45 and included in the overall cost).
I wonder how many suckers The Plumbing Dr upsells into services they didn't really need? Reminds me of McDonalds Do you want to upsize that? Rip off
We woke up on one of the coldest mornings of one of the coldest days in ages to find no hot water. After cursing the gods (and taking a miserable cold shower), I tried to get in touch with the person who usually handles our HVAC and plumbing issues, and was met by answering machines all day. The next morning I submitted an online request to The Plumbing Dr., and got a phone call back in 30 minutes -- had an appointment window in a snap!!
Dr. Vanna arrive right in the middle of the window, having called to say he was on his way. He quickly assessed the problem with the water heater -- somehow the pilot light had gone out -- and promptly fixed it. He even showed me how to reignite the pilot if it ever went out again, without making me feel like an idiot for having to have called professional help. Inside 10 minutes, Dr. Vanna had determined the heater was good to go.
Prompt, professional service at a reasonable price?? Sign me up. The Plumbing Dr. will be getting my first call from here on out.
We had a pretty basic -- but annoying -- plumbing problem. Our garbage disposal was working properly, in that the blades were spinning and there was no jam, but the water was not draining down the sink past the disposal. We discovered this problem at about 9:00pm on a Sunday evening. After checking Yelp for several options, we called three plumbers, who quoted us prices ranging from $178 to $350 to resolve the issue. We went with The Plumbing Doctor because they quoted us the most reasonable price and because Bill promised to have a technician out by 10:00am the next morning (less than 12 hours later).
I called Bill when I woke up, and he informed me that the technician would arrive between 7:30 and 8:00am. I received a call from Larry at 7:20 letting me know that he had been dispatched and would arrive at about 8:00. He was exactly on time.
I cannot speak highly enough about Larry's professionalism and care for our apartment. He spread a protective covering on our kitchen floor and wore booties over his shoes to avoid tracking through our unit. He resolved the problem in less than an hour, and charged $163, which was $15 less (!) than the estimate we had received. He then proceeded to clean up all his materials, and cleaned the area under our sink, leaving it in even better condition than when he arrived.
I enthusiastically recommend The Plumbing Doctor for their reasonable rates, responsiveness, and friendly, professional staff. Although I hope to never see them again, I would not hesitate to call them if needed.

I called to get an estimate on fixing a standard clogged drain issue - I knew exactly what and where the problem was but they wouldn't give me any kind of estimate or range on the price to fix. They charge a $68 service fee, so if they come out and decide it's going to be $350 to unclog the drain, I obviously have to start over with the search AND am out $68. Not worth the risk - calling someone else.
Since buying a home in Arlington 8 years ago, we have used the Plumbing Doctor. Over the years, they have done great work at a fair price! Examples inlcude clearing the sewer line to county main in the street, replacing our hot water heater with a tankless version, and small jobs like clearing a clogged drain (always tend to get clogged just beyond my snakes' reach). As important as the quality of their work is the integrity of the owner, Dr Bill. I understand he no longer does house calls, but he is definitely still in charge and that is a good thing because he is a man of his word and he warranties his work. We only wish he would get into the HVAC business as that is a field in need a Dr! Well done, Plumbing Doctor--look forward to continuing our partnership!

Appreciate the prompt response on a Saturday. Value is due squat though. They wanted to charge me $4500 for a $1000 (retail, which were know they aren't paying that) water heater. That's $3500 in labor for a 5'ish hour job. These are plumbers, not brain surgeons. Pass.
VERY pleased with the service I received from The Plumbing Dr. this afternoon. Our technician explained how and why it would be in my best interest to repair the older (but much higher quality) faucet that was in place vs. replacing it with a newer, cheaper model I had bought at Home Depot. They don't make 'em the way they used to is the moral of the story. He got our problem addressed more quickly by fixing the existing piece, and I imagine much more cost-effectively since the labor time was reduced considerably. I get the sense this company treated me the way they would treat a close friend or family member -- from scheduling the appt around our needs through execution. Very friendly and professional. The fridge sticker is in place; I have my plumbing company should the need arise again.
My first experience today with this reputable company. Thorough, knowledgeable, timely, cost efficient. Dr. Dave was quite polite and ensured his quality work. I feel relieved that i have them now to call upon in the distant future if any other problems arise.
I would like to really thank Dr. Jason on his great work in resolving issues with my bathroom flush. Even though he got caught up on a previous appointment for a longer than expected time, he made it to my place in the evening and stayed back till the issue was fully resolved. He patiently diagnosed the issue (leaky wall valve) and resolved it correctly the first time. He wore cleanroom booties and used a plastic mat to make sure the house did not get any dirt from his shoes! 5 stars really great plumbing work. Thanks Jason!
On a recent Friday night after 700 pm I discovered a leak in main water pipe coming into my basement. The leak was below the shutoff valve so I was unable to stop the leak. After calling several companies, which provided 24/7 emergency service, the Plumbing Dr said they could send someone out within an hour. An hour later Dr David arrived turned the water off by accessing where the water was diverted into my house and promptly fixed the leak and restored the Water. More note worthy is that David without any prompting helped assemble my water vac and cleaned up all the water in the basement floor. While the service was a little costly, it was preferable to waiting until Saturday morning or later to repair the leak. David certainly went beyond what was expected. I commend ;1) Plumbing Dr for actually providing 24/7 service and 2) and David for his professionalism and help beyond what would be expected. tim burke va
There is a reason that The Plumbing Dr has such rave reviews, and that is because of their employees like Dr Toney. Rarely do I encounter someone who has such a vast grasp on his trade as Dr Toney. His utterly thorough explanation of what was wrong with the water heater, how and why so much of the heater's plumbing aspects were not up to code, and options for remediation left my wife and me with confident that our decision to spend our money with The Plumbing Dr was the right one to make. Kudos to Dr Toney and The Plumbing Dr.
Toney and Marlon came on time and did what they needed to do to fix my sink drain issue that also affected my dishwasher leakage. Toney also identified a leak in the basement which I had not noticed previously. His attention to detail and easy to understand explanations helped remove my uncertainty for how the fix would go.
Very responsive, timely service, and great work! Charlie helped replace a counter-top button for our disposal, and was friendly, fast, and thorough. He explained how to prevent the problem in the future, too! We will be calling them in the future for plumbing repairs!
I had the Plumbing Dr. come out to check an issue where my handheld shower worked but the showerhead didn't. $188 per hour, no half hour charges. Whatever, they have great reviews, right?
When they came out, the tech said that he couldn't figure out what was wrong with it, and that the whole system needed to be replaced. The entire $300 shower system would need removing and replaced. And he didn't know why. And he couldn't figure out how to take apart this shower system, which I, NOT a plumber, installed in about 20 minutes last year. It had like three hex screws holding it together, seriously.
So I asked him a dozen different questions, trying to figure out whether he was thorough, and novice tinkerer though I be, I determined this guy wasn't worth his salt. He didn't check the diverter, and didn't remove the showerhead from the system to see whether there was an issue there.
Called Stevens Plumbing Company, they sent a guy out there who spent half the time, used some basic investigation plumber skills and found a clogged washer at the shower head. Didn't even need any tools to remove it. Had it unclogged and working in short order.
So no, I won't be going back to the Plumbing Dr. Their tech didn't do a thorough job, charged me a goodly sum for no work at all, and recommended the worst-case-scenario fix. Sounds like your stereotypical oil-change shop recommending you replace your brakes, air filter, spark plugs and every other thing even if you had it done a week ago, just because they think you don't know better and want to get the most money out of you. Or maybe it was a novice plumber who wasn't worth his salt. At least I found a company that did a proper job.

Overall, I felt a little gouged, but told myself that I was paying for them to come out the next day (I called on a Thursday and got a Friday appointment), versus the following Wednesday as quoted by Stevens Plumbing (the place my entire building uses - apparently, they know our building and we get a great rate with them).
For less than an hour's worth of work (he basically re-piped under my kitchen sink), he consulted his magic chart and it was $372. That's quite an hourly rate for someone I'm assuming isn't a master plumber, nor did it seem to require the skills/experience of a master plumber.
As far as service, the person who answered the phone was very pleasant. The plumber that actually came (Charlie) didn't really like people (that much was obvious), but he did the work and so far nothing has exploded or sprung a leak.
Oh well, I'll hope to be in position to choose Stevens next time and save these guys for when I'm really desperate.

I had a plumbing emergency over a weekend and The Plumbing Dr. sent Jason on the same day that we called. Jason quickly identified the issue and provided a quote. The quote was a little higher than we expected. But given the great reputation the company has, I went ahead and had him perform the job.
I had to say I am not disappointed. Jason was very thorough. It took him almost two hours to fix the issue. I am no plumber but I could tell he did an excellent job!

Jonathan came at the time promised and he did a great job. At first, I was not happy with the price he quoted, but he then called his office and they reduced it to a more reasonable price. (It was a little complicated because I supplied the water filter. Usually they provide the water filter along with installation for a set price.) After he did the instillation, Jonathan tied off the old filter line, and that took a bit extra effort which I appreciated. He also showed me the instillation site, which he cleaned up, and went over basic maintenance of the system with me. Jonathan was friendly and professional. I would use The Plumbing Dr again.

I'm very handy around the house, so on a Friday evening after work, I decided to replace a leaky cartridge in our shower faucet. I've done many of these without a hitch. This time was different....part of the cartridge broke off in the pipe when I was trying to remove it. I tried for over an hour to remove it.....impossible. The main water supply had to be shut off to do this repair, so now I was in a real pickle. I knew I needed a plumber quick....called 3 of the big boys in the area who advertised 24 hour emergency service. None of them could send anyone until Sunday! I frantically searched the internet and stumbled upon The Plumbing Doctor. Manning, who answered the call, could not have been more helpful. As I described what happened, he quickly diagnosed what was wrong and even gave me tips to try to fix it myself. I couldn't fix it and Dr. Matt arrived on the scene in an hour. He had it fixed in 45 minutes!!!! These guys are the best in my book. I now have a new plumber for life....thanks, Doc!!!!
At the end of a long day Dr. Toney still did a great job of clearing a nasty clog in our shower, took the time to explain what happened along with preventative measures. I can't put into words how above and beyond tonight's service was!
I love these guys! Third time I've used them. They may cost a little more than others but quality and service are top-notch. They give you options so the repair can suit your budget. the replaced equipment is always superior to what the builder installs. Dr. Charlie just replaced our sump pump. He was so nice and tidy with his work. House is fourteen years old, so we are being pro-active before the pump dies. Hot water heater burst two years ago and these guys came immediately and installed a new and better water heater. Also used them to replace a garbage disposal and instant hot water tap. I don't shop around anymore. I just call them for all my plumbing needs.
On time, polite, professional, and competent. I had a bad experience with another plumbing company and the Doctor was a ray of light. The Plumbing Dr. is now my go-to for plumbing.

The Plumbing Dr crew, from owner to everyone who worked on a previously botched main water line issue were beyond expectations. Dr Bill assessed the work and actively participated in key portions of the job. Jim, Jake, Lloyd and Harold were examples of superior work. Wendy and Melody were prompt and helpful, offering timely updates on scheduled work. They are all an ideal team.
Pros - My call was answered during the weekend and my appointment was scheduled.
Pros - When the person finally showed, he took a picture of my leaky faucet to show me the problem.
Pro/Con - They charge about a 30% mark-up for their supplied hardware above off-the-shelf prices.
Cons - Person who took appointment didn't pass along to the dispatcher my message that we couldn't have work before 9:00 am. I missed a 7:52 am call. When I called back, I was told they were on other calls, and they'll get there when they get there. Didn't get service until after 2:00. And they were upset at me for calling to find out when I should expect someone.
Cons - Very, very expensive. They quoted $619 to replace my (fairly basic) faucet or $452 to install if I bought the part. I got Price Pfister faucet off the shelf, at Home Depot for $128, and HD installed for $125. Installation took only 14 minutes. $253 is less than HALF of what Plumbing Doctor quoted.
And the $619 was their LOWEST price. They had a tablet that had 4 price levels, with service contracts or something.
Bottom line is I believe $452 is too much for 15 minutes of work.
$125 is more appropriate.
And why do they need what's essentially a 30% mark-up on a retail price? I mean HD is making a profit off of the retail price, so Plumbing DR is making profit above retail.

Dr Phillip & Dr Brandon completely overhauled my ancient sump pump system. They were prompt, courteous, and clear about options. They were able to start the work immediately & I had a well-functioning, safe sump pump system. So pleased & will definitely use The Plumbing Dr again! Thank you!
Do NOT do any business with these thieves.
I needed them to look at my kitchen faucet and the pipe connecting to the dishwasher.
The first thing the guy did was to confirm 3 times, at least, that he would take $69.00 regardless whether he fixes the problem or not.
Then after 1 hour of work opening my faucet and pipes, he said he had a plan for me.
He suggested to fix the problem by replacing my faucet at ONLY $1,750.00, with the warrantee that there would be no leaking for one year.
Once I said no, thank you. I can replace the faucet for a maximum of $200.00 the technician charged me $244.00 for his work and left.
These are truly thieves. Never do business with the.
Dr. Charlie and Dr. Matt arrived within an hour to fix my toilet emergency. They ended up replacing the toilet, which required the delivery of a new toilet. I figured it would take hours... but two hours later they were totally done! The pricing was upfront and clear, and reasonable. They even encountered a problem that would need further fixing, but understood that I was crunched for time that day. The Plumbing Dr. followed up a few days later to schedule the additional work. As before the pricing was upfront and clear, and compared to other plumbers, really affordable. If you've got a plumbing problem, The Plumbing Dr. should be your first call!

I have had Dr. Charlie come to my home to help me with plumbing repairs for years. Each and every time, he is absolutely great!!! He is smart, thorough and makes sure that I am comfortable with each repair - by not only showing me what was wrong, but how he fixed it and how to best maintain it. I would recommend Dr. Charlie without hesitation to everyone! He's simply the best!
We have used the Plumbing Dr for several years for both emergencies as well as maintenance. They have always been friendly, professional as well as on time for their appointments. Often during an appointment Dr. Bill, the owner, will also show up. Their prices are also
reasonable. I would definitely recommend them to friends asking for plumbing referrals.

I don't often write reviews, but I wanted to give the Plumbing Doctor kudos. I've had such bad experiences with repairmen and contractors that I tend to put off needed repairs for weeks on end. My kitchen sink had not been draining properly for nearly a month, so I finally called yesterday (Friday) evening around 6. They gave me an estimate over the phone, and said they could have someone come out today (Saturday) if I wanted, though weekends carried an extra charge. Otherwise, I had the option of scheduling an appointment for next week.
I happily agreed to the Saturday appointment as the extra $40 or so was worth not having to take time off of work. The repairman was quite a bit later than I was told, but the company called me to let me know that they hadn't forgotten about me and that the previous job was taking longer than expected. The repairman assigned to my job called himself with an ETA when he was done with the previous job. I missed my yoga class, but delays happen and I appreciated the communication.
When Larry arrived, he was very courteous and thorough. I thought I was going to need my entire disposal replaced, but there were just a couple of very small pieces of plastic and/or metal lodged in the system that he found when he took it apart. The $198/hour for labor was of course more than I'd ideally like to pay, but again, that was the weekend/emergency rate, and it was better than the $300-350 I'd been quoted to get the disposal replaced.
He wore covers over his shoes to prevent tracking in any dirt or mud (even though I told him not to worry about it) and was very conscientious about leaving everything just as he found it. He also did a quick (free) inspection of the rest of the plumbing throughout the house. Smart business on their part, but I really appreciated it. The only thing he pointed out was something I already knew needed to be fixed (so no trumped up repairs), and I found it helpful to have a specific estimate and to know what I need to ask for when I am ready to invest the money for that particular repair.
Overall - I highly recommend these guys. i would definitely use them again.
These guys stand by their work! My toilet had the same issue three months later and they fixed it at no charge. These guys are speedy and courteous, basically my life plumbers!
We had a leak right inside our basement, right where the water line came into the house. They couldn't come the day we called (but asked how bad it was, I'm assuming if we really pushed they would've come out late that evening). Came 7:30 the next morning on time and were here for about 3.5 hours. Replaced copper pipe, elbow bend and clamp, pressure regulator and ball valve cleaned up and checked things out before leaving. Charlie was courteous and upfront with the estimate/warranty, and did a nice job. We did not have other estimates, the price seemed somewhat within reason and overall it was a good experience. I would use them again.
Dr. Toney was incredibly professional, very personable and a joy to have. He explained every detail of our options, and showed a very clear knowledge of the business. I feel he was fair and honest, and am always so happy to have Plumbing Dr do our work.

Quick to schedule time for the following day to repair a running toilet which stopped flushing reliably. Turns out it was an old model with bad parts which was better and easier to replace than to repair - the right decision rather than an upsell. Not being a frequent customer of plumbers/electricians/etc, there was a little sticker shock ($450) until I had a chance to look up the cost of the replacement toilet (a Kohler Cimarron which runs about $200ish) and factor in the two or three hours or so they spent working on the job overall. Mike in the office was on top of ordering the replacement and letting me know when the guys would be back to install it. The Plumbing Drs called out on the job knew how to fix it and were friendly. Oh, and when going to/from the truck for supplies, they went to the trouble of buzzing into the building rather than just leaving something stuck in the door to hold it unlocked - a nice consideration for my city neighbors.
I used the plumbing dr. today and thought the service and price to be great. I called at 8AM they were here by 10AM and out by 11AM, they willingly gave me a quote over the phone, and the price was about $20 more which I am fine with since there was a bit more to be done. Will def. use them again!
Note: Other places I called either refused to give me a quote over the phone (which is annoying) or were about $75 more than the plumbing dr.
I just called this company and had an AWFUL experience. Please do not rely on this company. I had problems with the dishwasher. The plumber came and in 2 minutes told me that the problem is related to the appliance rather than plumbing and charged me $200. Clearly this is NOT an honest practice. If a company charges you $200 for not offering an actual service is a complete rip off. You are far better off looking at another place. I will NEVER EVER hire this company again.
I requested an appointment to raise and replace an outside faucet/spigot and was able to schedule for the same week. The day of the appointment, they were running a little late from another job and someone from the office called me to let me know and make sure I was ok with that. Very professional. Dr Phil and Dr Bill talked to me and quickly understood what I needed. They went over options with me and explained them in detail so I could make a good decision. They performed the work the same day and did a great job. This is the third time I've used this company in the past year and I will continue to do so. I am very pleased with all the work they have done for me.
Called on a Wednesday night after 7:00 and got an appointment for the next morning. I had a cracked waste pipe from my sink. While they were prompt and did good work, they were very expensive in my opinion for a call that was less than an hour and a half. I also think a fuel surcharge for a service such as a plumber is ridiculous.
Brandon and Cornelius did a great job solving the problem with our kitchen sink disposal. They gave us a free home inspection for our new home. Very professional.
I cannot recommend these guys enough. NOBODY beats their prices, they don't try to rip you off, they do the work that needs to be done, and nothing more (unless you ask of course). Great work quality!
I called them for a clogged kitchen drain that another plumber had been unable to fix. The service was fantastic. I put in an order request through the web site on Monday night, and got a call on Tuesday morning offering me my choice of multiple available appointments on Tuesday or Wednesday. The person who called was very courteous and listened to the exact details of the issue.
I took a Wednesday appointment at 7:30 AM, and the plumber was there exactly on time. He put on booties when he got there, laid down a tarp so nothing would spill, and twice wiped down the cabinets and floors just in case any water had gotten past the very large tarp. And, he fixed the drain clog without any problem. I will definitely be using the Plumbing Doctor again.
Update: The business manager called me and apologize for what had happened and offered a full refund. I think the specific plumber we dealt with had gone rogue. I'm glad these people care about their business and i'll consider them next time, a second chance.
I called them for our leaking water heater and was told that there will be $68 diagnostic cost no matter what. I accepted and they sent their guy. He was in our place for less than an hour and his assessment was that the heater should be replaced. He said it will cost about $5k. We asked for a breakdown cost of material and labor and he wasn't willing to provide that. We looked online and noticed that we can get a 5 star heater for around $600, so his price was really over the board and we decided to go with someone else.
He asked us for $130 for just this diagnosis. Outrageous!

Have had 2 great experiences with these professional plumbers, they are fantastic. Dr. David rescued my toilet after a foreign object was accidentally flushed down- fixed it the next day and was reasonably priced. Second experience, pipes were recently frozen. plumber Larry D. was sent to help and unthawed pipes and restored water in the house. He was super knowledgeable and super helpful. Very smart plumbers. Very professional. I would highly recommend them. The best plumbers around- 100% satisfied and trust their expertise. Don't call anyone else, call DR PLUMBER, you will be glad you did!
I recently called for a Saturday emergency. There was no answering service so I left a message about the issue and saying I was a former customer. Realizing this was not a good sign I called another company that had an answering service that did tell me they were too booked to come out that Sat. so I made a Monday apt. The Plumbing Dr. never called me back. I was still going to have them give me an estimate for a big sump pump and other valves job which is now estimated at several thousands ( by another company). With not even getting a return call from the Plumbing Dr. I'm crossing them off.
Larry from the Plumbing Doctor was very good and honest, letting me know that all I needed to replace was an inexpensive part. While their opening rate of 200 an hour is high, they are honest and reliable, great experience!
Dr. Charlie was great. We called the Plumbing Dr. on a Sunday morning around 9am related to a leaking washer valve and by around 1045 Dr. Charlie had arrived. He was very professional and courteous, wearing booties into the house to protect the floors. He assessed our problem and agreed that it was a faulty washer faucet. He laid out the various pricing options and allowed me to pick the one that suited our needs. He recommended replacing both faucets which I was already going to request due to the age of the house. He estimated the that it would take an hour and a half to two hours and he was done in about an hour and 15 minutes. He pressure tested the new faucets, cleaned up after himself and even reinstalled the washer that I had disconnected and moved before he arrived. Although they may be a little more expensive than other plumbing services, their responsiveness and getting us back up so we could finish our laundry was worth the extra cost. I would definitely use and recommend The Plumbing Dr in the future.
This company will not provide any estimate (of any kind) until sending out a plumber who charges at least $68 for the visit. They also claim that a permit needs to be acquired in parallel with a water heater replacement, or any job that involves gas lines. This is simply not how most other companies operate and so there's too much competition to recommend this one.

Dr. Jason came to our home 15 before our scheduled appointment to be sure he was ready for our schedule water turn off at 9am. He worked to get everything prepared so he could replace our valve as quickly as possible. When the water still wasn't turned off my 9:30, he decided to look for an alternative solution so we wouldn't have to wait around for Arlington County to do their part. He fixed our valves and noticed another issue and asked if we had any trouble with our sink draining. In fact, for 3 years our sink would fill up when rinsing dishes and we would to run the garbage disposal almost the whole time. He took it upon himself to discover the issue and try a few things before deciding if the drain needed to be snaked. He was able to fix the problem for the lowest cost option because he took the time to test out all of the possible causes instead of moving right to the most expensive option. Dr. Jason was respectful, punctual, courteous (today was incredibly rainy and he made sure to dry his boots off several times and wear shoe covers in our home) and very sweet to my 11 month old daughter who wouldn't leave him alone and continued to wave at him whenever given the chance.
I highly recommend The Plumbing Dr and most certainly Dr. Jason to fix any plumbing related problem in your home!
My hot water disappeared, and we booked The Plumbing Dr for same day service. Our lead plumber was Wayne, with Jimmy assisting. They arrived on time, diagnosed the problem quickly (faulty thermostat), gave me an option to repair or replace, and were not pushy at all (when I chose to repair).
Within an hour and a half, I have hot water again! I will definitely work with these guys again. Great experience all around.

We had a slow filling toilet issue that we thought we could fix ourselves, but it turned into a leaking toilet issue at 11pm on a Friday night. We found The Plumbing Dr on yelp. They sent someone fairly quickly given that it was so late on a Friday night. The plumber asked us a few questions and immediately knew what was wrong. He quickly fixed the problem and explained to us what he was doing in the process. We highly recommend these guys. Friendly. Fast. Honest. and Reliable.
Our water heater burst at 10:00 on a Sunday night. We called the plumbing dr, and they came out within the hour. On Monday, Larry came out and installed a new water heater. He was very professional and explained everything. He cleaned up all of the mess, and we now have a new water heater. The price was very competitive. We definitely will use them again.
The tub faucet and fixtures in my master bathroom were original from construction (2008) and through time and normal wear & tear, the tub faucet had been consistently leaking. I found The Plumbing Dr on the world's most powerful tool (Google) and called to schedule a service appointment.
The company representative I spoke with was courteous, professional and responsive. A service call was scheduled for today (October16). The plumber (Mike) and his colleague (Cornelius) called me 15 minutes in advance (as promised) of their scheduled arrival time (12:00) and they arrived promptly on time.
Mike explained the evaluation and repair process, so that my expectations were managed up front with full transparency, which I appreciated. Mike and Cornelius did a thorough inspection, determined a repair plan and clearly explained next steps and timelines.
I asked if, as long as they were there, it made sense to go ahead and replace all the washers on all the faucets (bathrooms, kitchen) and after carefully inspecting all of them, Mike advised that they were all in good working order and it would be an unnecessary expense (which I also appreciated).
Mike and Cornelius provided additional guidance for proactive care of my pipes in the master bathroom, once the repairs were completed, as a cost-saving measure.
The service appointment was approximately 1.5 hours, start to finish. I found Mike to be very professional, highly competent and helpful. Cornelius was also very knowledgeable and helpful, as well.
Of course, significant plumbing repairs are not cheap (oh the joys of home ownership!), but I believe the quality of the work and the service merits the cost, and the Plumbing Dr's rates and fees are competitive with other local plumbing companies.
I highly recommend the Plumbing Dr! 5 stars!!
Great customer service experience and the technician was extremely nice and knowledgeable.
My laundry and kitchen drain clogged due to debris from roof, it always happen once a year after leaf removal.....Plumbing dr fixed it for me last year and this year, pretty good work
Price-wise....its around $250-300, cheaper than the $400+ that the other plumber quote me
I just called to inquire about an emergency plumbing issue and the woman who answered the phone was incredibly rude. I guess I should have known not to even call a 24 hour company since they're busy due to storms, how stupid of me.
I had a problem with my garbage disposal where the bottom was leaking. Called the Plumbing Dr. and they got someone out there right away. David came to my house in less than 45 minutes. There's a $69 diagnosis fee and after the diagnosis he went over the different types of replacements. He replaced the piping as well as the garbage disposal. I only consulted with one company but it's a little expensive ($669) in my opinion. David did a great job and was very nice. He was knowledgable and gave me some tips on how to maintain my sink. I was in a hurry to get my garbage disposal replaced but next time I'll shop around before committing to one place.
Pros:
-Very knowledgeable
-Fast turnaround time
-Quick response
-Good work
-Dave was awesome
Cons:
-Pricey
-Different options are not very clearly displayed such as differences between different options
-Not very clear and transparent
I don't usually review companies anywhere, but I had to review The Plumbing Dr. I've called places and NO ONE ANSWERED THEIR PHONES! The Plumbing Dr was the only company that picked up.
My basement would flood everytime we did the laundry, so we made an appointment and a technician came by to look through the mess. They replaced what needed to be done, while giving a play-by-play on what they are doing and why the mess occurred in the first place.
I am completely satisfied with their service - timely response, courteous and friendly service, cost of the repair, and actually getting the job done well.
Larry and Toney were very pleasant and professional in installing a new toilet and fixing a flusher on a second toilet. They seemed very knowledgeable and knew what they were doing.
They also took time to take a look at our water heater and give us some additional advice and maintenance tips.
I will definitely be calling them back for any future plumbing needs.
We used this company after reading the yelp reviews and thinking that they seemed ok. On the positive side, I called on a Saturday morning and they came in a little over an hour, which was very fast (and the reason for the star). Dr. Bill came to our apartment, and spent a few minutes looking at the leaking toilet valve in the bathroom. He then left to work up the options. I thought that was a positive sign, until he came back in with a laminated paper with about 6 different options, all with prices much higher than I was expecting. Then he proceeded to tell me that he recommended the $600 fix because it was the best option with the longest warranty. When I asked him what the difference was between the most expensive and the least expensive, he was hesitant to answer me. Instead, he pointed at his piece of paper again and said that the least expensive was a bandaid option (for $189), and that he could only guarantee the work for 30 days (still without actually explaining what the difference was). I admit that I'm not knowledgeable about toilets, but in my opinion, a professional should be able to justify a $500 difference in service in terms clear enough that you can understand what they are doing.
Fortunately, my fiance came home at that point, and realized that he had installed the tube that Dr. Bill said was leaking. So we sent Dr. Bill on his way with the $68 service fee and proceeded to go buy the piece for $3.49 from the hardware store, which we installed in about 10 minutes. I find it ridiculous that the we were recommended the $600 option for a part that costs 3 dollars and took 10 minutes to fix.
We used The Plumbing Dr years ago for a kitchen faucet repair and used them again this week for two different sink plumbing repairs. For both services, Larry was our service guy. Larry (and the young man helping him) is great, so polite and easy to work with. I feel like he is honest in his assessments and the work is always done right. Yes, their prices are not cheap, but they are fast and the work is great. I'd use them again and request Larry every time :)

We have used this company several times for various plumbing needs and they are the absolute best!! They answer quickly, have fair prices, and always do excellent work. And if you are really looking for an expert plumber with tons of experience for a more complicated job, ask for Dr. Charlie by name!
Charged over $500 just to inspect and didn't fix anything. Just pulled the toilet and made an attempt to remove the clog with a snake outside in the front yard valve. Then told me that to really solve the problem they need to cut the line and it would cost $9000.
Next day had Michael and sons come, they said we onlly charge 97 and not a penny more if they can't fix it. The next day a plumber from Michael and sons fixed it and remove the item in 10 minutes and we were back to normal.
Ripped off by dr plumbing - $600 to inspect regardless if they fix, if they pull the toilet up and snake. M&S didn't do that.
I had service over the Memorial Day weekend and was very pleased.
From my initial call to when the job was completed I was given great customer service.
The technician, Manny, outlined all of my options and associated costs. He was professional, knowledeable and customer service oriented. And, Bill handling the emergency service number, was informative and patient. I would definitely use this company for future plumbing needs.

Very pleased with service. I had a leaky outdoor faucet and contacted a few plumbers for estimates online based on photo. All seemed high. Reached out to Plumbing Doctor since it was local and I assumed that i'd save on travel costs. Good reviews on Yelp. Scheduled service call easily. They were able to come the next day. Tony showed up on schedule w an advance call to alert me to his arrival. Diagnosed problem quickly and offered 5 different levels of support. I picked second lowest since I didn't need warranty since job was relatively simple. Tony had it all completed in less than 1/2 hour, doing more than he had planned. Will continue to use Plumbing Doctor for all future needs.

Called on a Saturday afternoon. The lady on the phone, Shelly, was super polite and let us know that Dr. David would get to us quickly. We had a floor basement drain that was not draining causing us to have some standing water. We didn't consider it to be a true emergency but Dr. David was there at 8:00 am the next morning, Sunday morning, 4th of July weekend. He was very professional and courteous. He was quick to check it out, let us know our options, and quick to fix us up. Would definitely recommend The Plumbing Dr!!
First let me start by saying I very much like this company and think they do great work. I am especially fond of Dr. Sam, who has been to our home on numerous occasions to help with various plumbing issues. Dr. Sam is honest, kind, and does a very thorough job. The only reason I didn't give them 5 stars is because the company recently changed their fee structure which caused their prices to increase. I know they are definitely not the cheapest company, but I do think they do good work and guarantee it. I believe that you get what you pay for, and I think they are worth it.
We had a very good experience with the Plumbing Dr. We had a non-emergency leak under our bathroom sink. We called and got an appointment within a day. Our mechanic was Cody, he was very professional, courteous and fixed the problem in less than an hour. One of the other reviewers mentioned an ipad - this is what they use to show you the various options for repair/service - everything from the highest end to the basic. While they start out their explanation with the top end price/service, they did not pressure me at all when I choose the cheaper option. I'd definitely call them again for another plumbing issue.
Called early evening when our kitchen sink wouldn't drain. Dr. David came out in a half hour, explained everything he found during his investigation and what the fix would be. Got us back in business quickly, and told us what he was doing while he did it. Great service.
This company states on their Yelp profile that they will give you a quote for the job, so I described the issue in great detail and emailed them. They replied immediately ... but not with a quote. Instead they said they would assess a service charge for coming to my house, and they would only provide a quote once they looked things over. Very deceitful. I emailed them about the false advertising and they just deleted my conversation.

Honest, professional and efficient. I had a simple problem--toilet was running and wouldn't stop. The Plumbing Doctor was easy to schedule, they answered their phone right away, they were able to come out the next day on my schedule, the technician arrived on time, was very nice and professional. He diagnosed the problem within minutes and gave me a variety of options for payment. He wore booties in our home and was careful to keep the work area clean. He fixed the toilet quickly, had all the correct replacement parts in his truck and I was very happy with the results of his work. He advised me on how to prevent the same problem from occurring again. I recommend them. The cost of the part and service, which lasted about 20 minutes, was $189--a little high, but all plumbers are expensive--it's a specialized work, and worth it when you need help immediately. He also (free of charge) looked at our sump pump and gave me some good advice about how to anchor down one of the pipes. I can't remember our technician's name, but he was very nice and professional.
When my main bathroom toilet was clogged, and the plunger wasn't clearing the clog, I called the Plumbing Doctor. Dr. Charlie came out and inspected the toilet, got the clog fixed, and told me upfront what my choices for repair would be. I got the band-aid fix - just unclog the toilet and be done. Dr. Charlie was prompt and professional, and the toilet is working again!
Dr Jason fixed a big leak we had going from outside hose line to inside the house. He is a great guy and very helpful and knowledgeable.
We called Plumbing Dr at 7am and Tracy had someone to our house within the hour!
So happy we finally found a plumber we can trust!!! Thanks Plumbing Dr!!!

Dr William did a great job clearing an outdoor drain for us in a pinch. We are grateful to him for coming out on a holiday weekend. But above all we are thankful for our dry basement!
Fraudulent plumber. This is the first time I have ever written a review. And, the first time it was necessary to file a police report for any purpose. This plumber took advantage of my wife the week before Thanksgiving by charging more than $2,000 in excess of the $1,500 in parts and labor that should have been charged to replace the sump pump system in our basement. Then, when we asked for an itemized bill with parts and labor broken out, the plumber informed us that the policy is to NOT provide the pricing for parts and NOT to provide the price per hour for labor. Total bill was $3710--immediate research reveled $800 in parts and 4 hours of labor for two men. Should not have been in excess of $1500. Beware at all costs!

Dr. Charlie came to our house at 9pm and cleared a clogged pipe leading to our AC unit. Water was spilling out of the AC unit, and Charlie put a stop to it within 45 minutes. He was very nice, helpful and informative. We highly recommend the Plumbing Dr.!
I had a kitchen sink that was plugged, and I had another plumbing company come to my house to fix it. After over 4 hours they couldn't get the job done, so I called The Plumbing Dr in desperation. Dr. Dave came to my house and really wowed me with his confidence and professionalism. He fixed it in no time (after the other guy had tried for hours!) and when he was done he walked around my house and gave me tips and helped me replace the worn out flappers on my toilets (a chore I'd been meaning to get to) for free! I was very impressed, and I am now a customer for life. The price was reasonable - I was given very clear options before I made my decision - and I could not have been happier with the service.
Make sure to check their direct site online for a better $30 off first customer/visit coupon and a free inspection! Their homeadvisor profile only offers a 20$ off coupon. Their visit/consult costs $68. If you end up using their services then they waive that fee and just charge you for the services. Which makes it pretty hard to turn them away after you have ~70 bucks sunken costs already. Anyways I was praying for a great plumber.
The scheduling was very easy. They called ahead of time with a 45 min warming before arriving. Check. The technician was nice and seemed very knowledgeable. He did make a comment about how it normally costs about $200 to call out a plumber in the Tysons Corner area.. which I responded with well you cost $68 actually haha... so don't lie to me and I caught him off guard but we laughed it off. He recovered by saying some joke back about averages or something. Anyways the pricing packages were ludicrous. I had a toilet water tank replace/install 2-3 years back and it was HALF the cost of what I was charged. I can't imagine that sorta inflation happening... So I felt like the cost was high to begin with. Additionally what bothered me was that he kept focusing on an entire replace/install pre packaged service (printed in nice glossy packages to maximize costs) to just address it all (current/future) issues. It was not addressed to focus on what would fix the immediate need and then the nice to have things to fix. Seemed like he was focused on selling the entire kitchen sink first.. which was the highest package at $720!!! Then later he backed down to a mid level package of $315. Perhaps a selling tactic to make me think I'm getting a better deal not paying the full 720. I bit the bullet and went with the $315 package with 6 mths warranty and $30 off (new customer) coupon.
The last part that left me with a bad taste in my mouth was that after my home inspection I asked about a toilet where the water runs on its own occasionally. Nothing urgent just a nuisance. He was not able to give me a straight/logical answer. He kept going in circles and telling me that'd I'd need to rip/replace like I'd just done with my original project... Yes ok I understand I'll need to rip/replace eventually in several years but the reasoning didn't make sense as I kept correcting him on facts... Anyways, after a few rounds of going in circles and not getting a straight answer that made sense I just dropped it.
I'd use them if I was in an emergency in the future but not my first choice. I'm left wondering if I was taken advantage of and if he was totally honest about his assessment. But he got the job done and was a nice person... otherwise..
Noticed a leak under our kitchen sink and scheduled an appointment with The Plumbing Dr. We've used them before and were happy with our service. Dr. Daniel came to the rescue, explaining how the trap should work, and why ours was failing. He worked quickly to replace the leaking section of the pipe with new parts (and fewer connections!). I appreciated learning about my plumbing as well as the speedy and professional work. Would recommend!
I wish I called this company first! After TWO snaking jobs with another company, Larry and Jared finally found the reason for our basement drain flooding which ended up being from the County line. They both were nice enough to stay and speak with plumbers from the County AND a manager from my HOA, which they didn't need to do. I hired the cheapest company for the first job and it was a waste of money. Save yourself time and money and just go with an honest and professional company who will get the job done! Thank you Larry and Jared!

My wife and I are repeat customers with The Plumbing Dr and can't ever see ourselves using any other company for our plumbing needs. We recently needed our kitchen faucet, tub faucet knobs/stems, and a toilet replaced. Charlie and Marlin arrived on time and even called to let us know that they were on their way. Upon arrival, Charlie and Marlin the time to cover their feet prior to entering our home and were both extremely friendly. I went over the issues I wanted taken care of and they both went to work and provided several options for each issue, never once trying to upsell us. We felt Charlie and Marlin were upfront and honest with their assessments and we were extremely happy with the price quoted to us. Upon completion of the work, Charlie and Marlin left their workspace better than they found it and my wife and I were very impressed with their professionalism and kindness. In addition, The Plumbing Dr office manager Tracy contacted us to ensure we were happy with the work and quoted price. The Plumbing Dr is a family run business and it shows with the quality of service and all around care they show for their customers. We will definitely be Plumbing Dr customers for life.
Dr. Daniel provided the kind of responsive, congenial, expert service I have come to value so much whenever I call The Plumbing Dr. This was an easy fix, unlike some of our previous adventures, so Daniel was in and out quickly, but he made sure to leave some good tips on how to ensure our plumbing runs smoothly in the future. Thanks!

Hired the plumbing doctor based on positive reviews. Our kitchen sink faucet broken on a Friday and we wanted to get it replaced ASAP. I called and they had an appt for the next day (Sat) for me in the am; the extra charge for a weekend appt was only $40 more per hour (some places like to charge you double the normal rate), but I got a $20 discount for being a new customer so it was totally worth it to have our kitchen sink fixed the next day rather than Monday. The plumber was nice and knew what he was doing and swapped out the old faucet for a new one we had purchased. It took less than 1 hour and the whole thing cost less than $200. I recommend them and will use them in the future.
Really excellent service from start to finish. Had a a floor line backup and the dispatcher offered to send out someone at 11pm the same night. I deferred to the next morning and Jason arrived and timely tested and snaked the line. Straightforward, thorough, honest, and reasonably priced. Would highly recommend.
I had a call to TPD 2 weeks ago...David came by and gave an assessment of my situation....and I was presented with all options to get my 2 stem control valves replaced, as they were leaking. Luckily it was a slow leak and i had no damage at all under my kitchen sink.
I believe there were 4 or 5 options: ranging from just replace the 2 valves to replacing everything down there. Being the unit is still less than 2 years since I've moved here, I opted for the basic...remove/replace the valves. David had to come back a couple days later as we initially couldn't find where the water shut off valve was to my apt. Low and behold, it was in the master bedroom closet...go figure....
Anyways, 2nd time David came by all was fixed and as good as new. What I appreciated was that there were all the options presented to me beforehand....Ill be sure to call TPD in the future.....
Thanks David!

I used this company for years and then got distracted and started using another vendor. I called this week for a repair and I don't know why I ever left. Liam was my plumber and he came out and fixed some issues I was having with frozen spigots outside my house. He was very thorough, did an excellent job explaining the problems and my options, and gave me advice on how I could prevent this from occurring in the future. I had other work being done on my home the same day and he needed to share space and my attention with these other workers. Even though this was undoubtedly a hassle for him, he was patient and good-natured throughout the entire visit. I was very satisfied with their service and I'll definitely resume my relationship with them. They're not always the cheapest, but they are excellent service providers, which is what counts the most.

We are truly grateful to this outstanding plumbing company and their excellent service. Our main water line broke the day after Thanksgiving and despite this being a holiday weekend, The Plumbing Dr. sent out Dr. Manning to assess our problem. Dr. Jon, Dr. Marlon and many others worked cheerfully and diligently in the rain and cold to replace our water line and restore water to our home. We found everyone to be professional, knowledgeable, and skilled. Their price was fair and competitive. We cannot thank this company and their great team enough for going out of their way to get this major repair completed so quickly. Truly an applaudable act of kindness.

Great service! Had a clogged kitchen sink and called The Plumbing Dr - they were able to dispatch Jason out the next morning and he did a great job fixing the problem! The drain was completely clogged with grease and he had to work at it for several hours. The price was pretty steep for the service but at least I got 6 months warranty for the work done! Jason was very professional and was able to answer all my questions, would highly recommend him!

I had a hot water heater issue that had to be corrected immediately & The Plumbing Dr was the only service who could give me a same day appointment. Jason came @ 10:30pm (later than I expected, but it was pouring all day & they had a lot of sump pump emergencies). Jason was able to alleviate the issue enough until he could get back the following week to do the major work.
Jason & Marlon came exactly at the agreed upon date, fixed the issue quickly, made sure I understood everything and were very professional. My friend had recommended The Plumbing Dr and I will definitely recommend & use them in the future!
They came quickly after I called and figured out the very complicated problem. It was expensive but I felt that they were very professional
These guys are life savers. After a Washington Gas crew accidentally (and unknowingly) broke my sewage line, we started getting sewage backing up into our basement shower. Dr. Brandon of the Plumbing Dr. arrived at about 10 pm and worked until 1am using a camera to locate the exact spot of the break and to dislodge enough of the broken material so that a bit of sewage could pass. That kept our basement from flooding! He used drop clothes and footies and left my house as clean as when he got there. Great guy! Yes they are expensive, but peace of mind is priceless. Using his video and ability to locate the break, Washington Gas came out and fixed the broken section of pipe the next day. And they have pledged to reimburse me for the break... so go figure.

Always read the negative reviews before hiring a professional! I know that and didn't do it with the Plumbing Doctor. I feel like I was gouged. Like others have said, they charge a $68 fee just to come out, and were up front over the phone about that. What they weren't up front about was their outrageous fees. I was charged their standard flat rate of $210 for them to spend 10 minutes unclogging a toilet. He wanted to charge me another $210 to replace the mechanism inside another toilet in the house that he said is bad, but I can certainly do that myself. The service guy swore up and down that that's the standard rate. It may be, but it's still outrageous and if the person on the phone would have told me that would be the minimum to unclog a toilet, I would have called around and checked prices, or just hung up the phone and found a way to do it myself. Yes, it's completely my fault for not doing my due diligence. It's my fault for trusting that a company would be honest with me and not asking straight up how much they would charge to unclog a toilet. Now you know and hopefully you won't make the same mistake. Oh...I just checked their website and like other people have said, the Plumbing Doctor does have a first time customers discount, which was never offered to me, even though they asked on the phone if I had ever done business with them before. I can't stand dishonest businesses.
Dr. Toney helped me with a clogged sewer line. He arrived about an hour after our call at 8:00pm and quickly got to work, snaking out the line. The cable that he initial used was to short to get to the main sewer line but this was remedied by going through our basement toilet with a larger cable/cutter. Toney was polite and professional and the problems were solved. Will happily use Plumbing Doctor again!

The plumber was able to diagnose our issue (a leak in a pipe in our ceiling) but that was where the positive feedback ends. When I booked the appointment, they said we will give you a 20 minute heads up when he's heading over. If it's within business hours, we will waive the service fee. If it's after business hours, you will be charged the fee. But I don't actually get a say on when they're coming so how am I supposed to know if I'm paying the fee or not? Am I also just supposed to wait at home all day for him to show up?
Finally, when the guy was here, he said it'd be anywhere from $150 to $250 to diagnose the issue, and once he found it he seemed to just arbitrarily decide that is was $250. He said the fix of the issue would be $500. The next day, I had a different person come by who said it should have cost less than $100 for the diagnosis and would be $150 for the fix. I do not recommend the plumber Dr for these reasons.
UPDATED: I wanted to make sure to get back to this review as the company really did very well by us after our previous experience. Granted, the receptionist and office staff are still less than helpful I am probably a bit jaded after my initial experience. The service Manager came out himself, assessed the situation and made sure we had a full understanding of what was going on (minus the flashy iPad). Both he and the other person that did the work were very thorough, professional, courteous and completed the job that day. I'll admit it started out a bit hairy with the 1:00AM service call and flashy iPad but it ended very well and the company really did take the time to go out of their way and make the situation right.

Water from our kitchen sink was draining into laundry sink after a pot of beans was emptied into the sink. It had been blocked for about 5 days. We had tried liquid drain cleaners, enzymes, plunger and an 25' auger with no success.
While checking yelp rating for another company, discovered companies with more and better reviews. Plumbing Dr was the first one I called. The receptionist at Plumbing Dr was pleasant and efficient, asking detailed questions about my problem. She said they could have someone at my house that afternoon between 1-5 and plumber arrived at 2:00 pm, just 2 hrs after my call.
Of the others plumbers I called, 1 did not work in DC, 2 I did not reach a live person and they still have not called back, and 1 could not come before Friday.
Charlie listened to all the things we had tried, saving valuable time in assessing the problem.Within a half hour the drain was clear, taking 30' snake to reach the clog.
Charlie took great care to keep the work area clean. His shoes were covered on entry, he covered the area near the sink and wiped out the cabinet when done.
The quote was $168 for the first hour and $20 snake fee. Only item not included in the original quote was 5 dollar gas fee but we got a Yelp discount which more than offset the gas fee and most of the snake fee.The only other company I reached quoted $240 for the same time period.

I've used the Plumbing Doctor for three repairs at my home. In every case, I found them to be very reliable, they did an excellent job, and the prices have not seemed unreasonably high. They have been quick to respond, always returning my call promptly, and making an appointment within 24 hours if I requested it.

I really appreciate the job Matt and his team did to replace our water heater. They responded quickly to our service request as we had a leak in the old one. They did an excellent job and kept us to Fairfax code. Many thanks for your promptness and, professionalism.
Fast, efficient service. Toney was great. Very personable and did a great job explaining what he was doing. Would definitely recommend the Plumbing Dr.!

Brian and Joe worked well as a team. They were professional safe and explained everything before they did the work. Their work was excellent. They protected my home and cleaned up the site when they left. They really know plumbing and will give you honest information to solve any plumbing issue. We have used them before and would recommend that you contact The plumbing dr.com for all your plumbing issues and needs.
I really want to write a good review, but can't. I'm handicapped, and needed to communicate by phone what I wanted. When I requested a faucet in the middle of the sink, he talked over me and missed the sink part. He installed it off-center, centering it between the three new installations but ignoring the hot shot on the left, so it's off center to the right side of the sink. OK, stuff happens, but I didn't get $30 off the charge mentioned in their online add as a new customer. So I called the office and mentioned the new customer $30 off that I never got. The woman said, Oh, you should have told shown him then. No instructions were online about having to do anything to redeem it. They don't know I'm a new customer? OK again, but when he came back to fix it, they were going to charge the $68 service call that I wouldn't have needed had he listened in the first place. OK, but I'm getting a little annoyed at this point. At least maybe I can get the reduction now. So I called the office again for the $30 off. This time she said that it was only for repairs. What?!? I pointed out that the website says nothing about it being only for rrepairs. This time, I felt used. I gave up, and said fine, but I'm tired of saying OK. I told her that I wouldn't be a return customer, so for $30, they lost a customer and got a bad review. The work was fine (installations only, no diagnosis or repair needed), so I give them a 2, but the bait and switch got me, both literally and emotionally.

My 65 year old house's kitchen/laundry drain was already a bit slow and it gave up when I tried to flow through some scraps from making Thanksgiving apple pie through the garbage disposal. My plumbing literally blew chunks through the drain in the floor of my basement and smelled awful. Fortunately Plumbing Doctor showed up within an hour (the day before Thanksgiving) and spent a few hours snaking the right drains and solving the problem. Thanks so much!!!
**Update on 8/12/17--had another clog, they came out within two hours on a Friday night and got us back up and running. David was friendly, courteous, and efficient. Thanks!!!

Both times I've used this company, I've been pleased with their professionalism and efficiency. Charlie is very knowledgeable. Charlie and Jared make a great team.
Team members were great to work with.
Price is far higher than other places near by.
If you have unlimited money, go with them. They will take care of you. If you are on a budget, you can probably find someone that can do the same quality work for less.

Horrible customer service. Spoke with Shelly over the phone to get some information on service leaks & detection and she said they don't do that (when their website clearly says they do). Very frustrating when they give you the wrong information for a serious matter and make you fee like your issues aren't worth handling. Customer service was horrible with my experience
I called the plumbing doctor at 4:40 pm on a Friday because my garbage disposal was seemingly broken, I had a bunch of undrained greywater and flies were congregating :( The marvelous woman who answered the call walked me through turning off the power and fixing the problem with a wooden spoon handle. I am SO grateful!! I'll definitely call the Plumbing Doctor again!!!
Clogged HVAC floor drain. Shannon snaked it out and even showed off his high tech gadgets with a snake camera and remote locator to verify there was nothing left all the way into the main drain. He was very careful with my carpets and provided excellent service. This was the first and only plumber I called so I don't know if anyone was cheaper. He charged $350 plus $50 to get same day service. I'll be using him for all future problems. Highly recommend.
One of our pipes in our basement leading to an outside bib came loose at a connection. Dr. Brian came to our home, and he was knowledgeable, incredibly kind and considerate, made the appropriate check ups in and around the house, conducted the work, tested the work, and made us feel very comfortable that the pipe was fixed! It's always such a treat when a contractor comes with a smile on his/her face and is friendly while doing his/her work. It felt like our neighbor friend was over helping out to fix a problem at our house - it was so natural. His explanations were clear, informative, and articulate. Can't expect anything more than that.
We are going to ask for Dr. Brian again, if [and when] another plumbing problem arises. Thanks, Brian!

Charlie arrived as agreed, inspected to find the source of the problem, and gave me options for repairs. He was courteous and tidy and helpful, even giving me a couple of do-it-yourself maintenance tips. Overall, a highly satisfactory experience with The Plumbing Doctor.
Appreciated Tracy listening to our worries. Dr Charlie explained the process to us and taught us how the new valves work. Cleaned up. Very prompt. Reasonable pricing options.
This review is for Dr. William.
Sunday during Labor Day weekend disaster struck my townhouse- my bathroom decided to flood my kitchen with black water. I was terribly upset as I had family in town visiting and didn't understand why water was flooding my cabinets.
I called over a dozen plumbers in the DMV area and no one answered. I left messages and the Plumbing Dr was the only one to call me back. They were timely and professional and a rep was sent to my home within three hours.
Dr. William was friendly and very professional. He explained the options well and clearly to me. I understood what the process was and didn't pressure me or try to upsell me. He replaced the wax ring, screws, cleaned the area, and replaced my flapper. He also taught me about cast iron plumbing and explained the pros and cons.
I have already recommended the plumbing dr to two friends since then. The price was pretty steep but insurance should cover it I don't mind. Plus, it was a holiday weekend so I understand.
I'm very grateful for their professionalism and promptness. Will contact for future plumbing needs.
EDIT: had to knock off a star. I recommended this company to a friend who had plumbing problems last week and they never called her back. Damaged my credibility. Not very professional.

Had to call for a clogged sink on Labor Day weekend. After leaving a message we were called back within 2 hours and they promised they could come out that day, and they did! Mike, the technician was professional, wore a mask and covered his shoes when entering. Diagnosed the problem quickly and offered us options from a one-time clean out to also giving us a six-month supply of products to keep the drain clean and gave detailed instructions how to use it. Total was more expensive than we had hoped, but not only was it a Sunday of a holiday weekend, but the fact that we have a treatment plan to keep this from coming back is also worth the extra. Thanks so much, and would definitely call them again and recommend.
Very happy with the service received. I have called the Plumbing Dr for other issues in the past and they continue to deliver. Dr. Toney was very professional, courteous and extremely knowledgeable. He explained what the issues and options were, and also what was involved. Everything was completed quickly and correctly. Would definitely recommend!
The plumber who showed up was auditioning for a job and knew less than I did about plumbing. We simply wanted him to install a sink and vanity. He kept trying to tell us how everything was wrong with our bathroom and that he needed to cut into the wall to adjust the pipes. According to him nothing was going to align, the drain would back-up and the vanity was going to wobble if he didn't do it. Quoting the Platinum Service rates from his book he estimated the cost to be $1200. We asked him to leave. Hah! Frustrated, I went to Home Depot and bought $8 worth of parts and spent an hour and a half installing it myself. It was a straightforward installation and everything works perfectly. We will not give the Plumbing Dr the chance to rip us off again.

OUTSTANDING! From Wendy (she said she answers the phones, 24/7 and she wasn't kidding) to Dr. Toney, these guys are fantastic. Extremely prompt professional service and very fair pricing. Better than fair, actually. Dr. Toney explained the issue and laid out several options, from the immediate repair to a full scale operation - and all of it came in far less than I would have expected. We chose the best option for us and he set to work - the issue was a kitchen sink backing up into a basement sink - and with the questions Wendy had asked me on the phone, we had everything zeroed in and fixed quickly. Highly recommend these guys and if I need plumbing services again (and I probably will given the way this house was built), they will be my first and only call.

Long time customer, first time reviewer. I've used The Plumbing Doctor on a number of jobs over the last two years after trying out other highly advertised outfits. I love the Plumbing Doctor's honest, upfront pricing. Dr. Larry walked me through all the options available to me. I was able to make an informed decision on what I wanted to invest to get this job done. Furthermore, Dr. Larry spent time with me showing me areas outside of the job they performed that I may need to watch. No hard sales tactics. Just sound expertise, honest advice and solid work. I highly recommend them.

Excellent across the board, which i honestly wasnt expecting as I discovered a leaking water pipe in a difficult basement area sandwiched between the floor joists and furnace duct work - over easter weekend.
First surprise, i was scheduled immediately for Sat afternoon. Then Dr. Toney called me in the morning saying he can come several hours early. He did a complete analysis of the problem, and pointing out some other plumbing issues of concern in my 100 yr house - for me to think about down the line.
He gave me exact estimate for the repair work in detail, with some options for additional issues - without any pressure. He then sunk into the repair work at hand which he completed in about an hour. I can tell he is highly trained and knew what he was doing.
Given plumbing emergencies over a holiday weekend, where I wasn't sure what was going to be needed, I naturally feared pain was coming. but my experience from scheduling to expertise to transparency to work quality was anything but. Its a good company, and Dr. Toney was outstanding.

I've been using The Plumbing Dr for all of my needs for several years and they have not disappointed! Most recently, I had a clog in a 2 side drain pipe with no available clean out access. Talel came out and was friendly and professional. He listened as I explained how the washing machine drain water would back up into the utility sink. He asked a few questions to narrow down the exact location of the problem. Then he went to work. He installed a handy clean-out access above the pipe and proceeded to snake out the pipe not once, but TWICE. Once to get the main clog out, then again with a larger diameter tool to clean the insides of the pipe. He explained everything he had done, and then gave me some easy to follow advice to help prevent the same issue in the future (use a lint trap, and do a large flush using the utility sink about once a week after doing laundry).
Thanks The Plumbing Dr for another job well done!
We had a plumbing emergency & your office responded with a sense of urgency for our situation. Our technician, Brandon, was beyond excellent. He was honest, personable, & a great communicator. He fixed the problem quickly & professionally. He advised us on other potential issues with our plumbing. We asked him to take a look at a faulty gasket (causing a leak) that another plumbing company had chosen to leave us with the day before, & he quickly fixed it as a courtesy to us. That is great customer service! The Plumbing Dr. is now our first choice in plumbing. We will recommend you!
The Plumbing Doctor was much more thorough than another plumber who had come to our condo. He explained everything to us, gave us his recommendations and explained why he was making said recommendations.
Our toilet was snaked, inspected, diagnosed, and replaced. ALL IN THE SAME DAY. ALL FOR AN EXCELLENT PRICE. I will definitely use The Plumbing Doctor in the future.
We had a huge grease clog in our old home. Another plumber was unable to get it fixed and had started to discuss rerouting the line. Dr. Bill came out and told us that they thought they could get the line clean by jetting and using a camera. They did it. Super professional. We have used them 3 times for different issues and all 3 things still work perfectly. They are worth every penny. They don't cut corners and do the job right.
Just to clarify, I did not use this man's services. The owner quoted me well over $2,000 to get about a half day's work done. I ended up getting quotes from many other licensed plumbers, who also got good reviews and ended up having the work done for less than $1200. Call AAA Plumbing instead. Outrageously priced.

If you need ANYTHING done that is plumbing related, look no further than the team at The Plumbing Doctor. Mike (our lead technician) and Charlie (who assisted Mike) did a phenomenal job diagnosing the problem quickly, giving us our options and then executing the plan we chose. Without being prompted, Mike noticed I had served in the military and proceeded to give me a 10% Veteran's Discount, which I didn't know they had and he volunteered. Mike and Charlie also took a look at the caulking on the tub in our guest bathroom and replaced it. Again, GREAT customer service and professionalism.
UPDATE - Charlie came by our new house today to fix our drain and per the usual, we are blown away by the professionalism Charlie exhibited. Again...this is why we are customers for life.
Got VERY BAD treatment from this company - so very disappointed in the reviews. More interested in selling me replacement parts, I had to tell them to actually use the snake.

I bought my first apartment in May, and The Plumbing Dr has saved me twice! First, with toilet repairs, and the second time with my clogged kitchen sink flooding my floor. This company is super responsive, with excellent communication of repair options, and the best customer service! Both of my repairs have occurred during COVID. I feel very comfortable with their protocols - masks, gloves, and shoe covers. I would recommend The Plumbing Dr to anyone in the area and will be using them for any future repairs!
Dr. Bill and Mike the technician are great! They were able to find a creative fix for a sump pump issue and went out of their way to get it done! Very happy with my experience with The Plumbing Doctor!

Recently, we had a sewage backup affecting the basement. Based on the strong recommendation of a former neighbor, we called The Plumbing Dr in Falls Church. We were very satisfied with the quality work of Dr. Charlie. He was courteous, professional, knowledgeable and personable. He explained the process that was necessary to diagnose and fix the problem which he did in the amount of time he said it would take. I would highly recommend The Plumbing Dr and Dr. Charlie to anyone facing the problem we had.

Liam came out to help service my kitchen sink on an emergency call. I called around 10 and he was at my house by noon. He diagnosed the problem VERY quickly and worked with my landlord who doesn't live in the area to solve the problem quickly. I appreciated how he communicated to her the importance of solving the issue right away rather than waiting for possibly a cheaper solution (which there wasn't one) leaving me without a sink for a few days. He was knowledgeable, kind and explained everything along the way. They are my go to plumbers for all needs! Thanks so much, Liam!!!!

We used The Plumbing Dr today and were very pleased. Brian was great! We got same day service and he was so helpful and informative regarding our completely clogged up kitchen sink drain. We will use them again and are so happy we found them. We appreciate Brian's services.
Dr. Dave sent several hours at my residence until the problem was fixed. I had a stopped up main sewer pipe which caused a flood in my basement. Plumbing Dr was concerned for me and got someone here within about 1.5 hrs. Dave was very easy to talk with and diligent in his getting to the root, literally, of the problem. He worked over 5 hrs., leaving after 10p on a Friday night. Very pleased with the response, diligence and thoroughness of the Plumbing Dr. service.

Just used them this morning. We ordered a good quality garbage disposer from online but apparently got the wrong one with a modular plug rather than wires. Technician told us he could not install it but he had one is his truck that he could install for $700. We balked at the price and he came down to $500. We still balked and asked him to leave. He mentioned he was not happy and we still had to pay the price of the trip to our house. He was not happy??? We were not happy!!!! Will not use them again!
