I live in a ranch rambler built in the 1960s that had underground ductwork. We noticed after purchasing the house that half of the house was not receiving adequate cooling or heating and it seemed like there was a leak somewhere. Unfortunately, this was not repairable and the best way to solve this was through installation of new ducts through the attic. This required a new HVAC unit and new water heater, as both of my units were old and the closet where both were in needed the units to get reposition to fit the new HVAC unit and ductwork.

Daniel came to do the initial inspection and quote and we were able to fairly negotiate a competitive rate under market price. His team took about a week and a half to complete the work. Luckily it was only one day without any Hvac but it was cool in the Spring so not much of a hassle. He was responsive when contacted and his team was nice and efficient. They also repaired holes and damages during initial installation that required painting and plastering.

Only improvements I would suggest would be more careful attention to cleaning/dust debris (they did clean up but more attention to detail would help in the future); and also a schedule of times worked, it seemed more like a surprise when the team of guys would show up each day and during remote work, it's hard to plan around that. Keeping this in mind and letting him know in advance, you should be good!

But all in all very satisfied with work completed and quality!

Cardinal Plumbing has been my go to plumber for the past few years. After trying a few well-reviewed plumbers a few years ago, I landed on Cardinal and gave them a try. I've stuck with them and have recommended them to my family who also live nearby. If I recall correctly, I first got connected to Cardinal when they were just doing plumbing - this review is ONLY for their plumbing services because I've never tried their HVAC services.

Each of the plumbers that I've interacted with have been very good. They've addressed a number of issues over the years including a frozen water line in the kitchen that they were able to locate and fix, addressed a water leakage from the shower due to issues with the valve/knob, fixed a leaky bathtub faucet, and more recently, fixed a water shut-off valve leak by the toilet. While some of these fixes seem simple when described, it's my opinion that it's better to rely on the experience and expertise of professionals than trying to do things yourself, mess up, and create a bigger mess than before - I'd rather not take that chance with water!

I really haven't found much to complain about, but if I were to pick something, then I'd guess the cost might be a bit higher than what I'd like to see. But I keep in mind that I'm paying for their expert knowledge to address matters quickly before things get worse. Overall, I've found them to be competent, knowledgeable, and above all, professional.

I'll update my review should I have experiences that change my rating but at this time, they remain 5 stars and here's to hoping that this continues!

This company has been really reliable, informative, prompt, and efficient. They know what they are doing, and they will also take the time to explain to you what is happening, what they suggest and why. As a woman, I consistently felt safe with all the guys who came out, and I never felt talked down to at all. They were also all amazing with my dog, who is very anxious with new people, so much that I think they actually helped him relax about meeting strangers in general!! And of course, their work is excellent and their installation looks very tidy. It is a relief to know that this company is so reliable in all aspects of customer service!

I needed a very old garbage disposal replaced in a condo I just bought.  Clover came very quickly to replace it and discussed the price options with me.  For example they gave me the option of buying the new disposal myself and having them install it or letting me buy a cheaper brand for them to install.

The whole thing took about as long as they said it would and I had called around to compare prices.  They were in the ballpark of everyone else.  Plus, I got a Yelp deal!

Great customer service. The tech came out and repaired HVAC quickly. He got straight to work and didn't try to sale me random things that weren't necessary. It was such a good experience I decided to have them come out to service my unit for the winter and look at my fireplace.

I called the company and was lucky enough to get in touch with the owner Pablo. He was extremely helpful and was able to diagnose the problem over the phone. It was exactly what 2 other companies told me after coming to my home. After speaking with Pablo I knew this was the right company for the job because he wasn't the salesman type; he wanted to fix what you asked.  His prices were excellent and Quality of work was superb. I will definitely recommend this Company and will use him again. Thank you Pablo.

Randy is awesome.  Great communication, very responsive.   His crew arrived promptly.  A bit of a hiccup as they didn't snake the drain before hooking everything up.  Would be wise to send your crew out with a work order, and communicate everything before starting.  Just a suggestion.

At the end of the day, the work was done very well.  Im satisfied with the work.   They were clean and tidy with everything.

Id recommend Brian B Quick in a heartbeat and would hire them again.

This company is great.  I've used them for a commercial HVAC contract (which is my previous review), residential plumbing and electrical.  

This review is for the work I've had done at the house.  I put in a wet bar, and John Nugent did the plumbing and moved & installed electrical outlets.  Why is John Nugent better than the other companies that advertise on the local TV Stations?  You know the ones with the jingles that come on every 15 minutes...  

- Their prices are much more reasonable
- They show up during their appointment hours
- Their techs call when they are about 30 minutes out
- Their techs seem very skilled.  

The last point is I guess subjective, since the whole reason I'm hiring a company like John Nugent is because I don't know HVAC, electrical or plumbing.  However, having used other companies in the past, I suppose its just a 'feeling' that John Nugent's techs seem more long-term and skilled employees than the other large companies with the morning TV jingles.  Plus, since they don't have to pay for all those commercials on TV, their prices always come in lower than the other jingle companies.  I've had 3 different techs show up for the various jobs, and they've all been great.  

Edit:  I forgot to mention, that when the plumber came by for the estimate the first time, I asked him about flushing the water heater. When one of the other jingle companies came by, I asked the tech about doing the same thing.  He asked if I had other done it before, and I said we hadn't.  That tech said that they could do it, but didn't seem comfortable with it... but did quote more for it.  

When the plumber from John Nugent came by, he asked me the same question.  The John Nugent plumber said to just leave it.  I could cause more problems flushing it now because I hadn't done it in 6 years.  That scored big points.  He was honest with me even though that meant the company would make less from me on that job.  

100% John Nugent will be my first call for any future electrical, plumbing, HVAC or other work needed.  I highly recommend them!

they replaced our ac and did a good job but the heater stopped working. I noticed the heater only after a month they replaced our AC. when I call them for an appointment, they don't show up during the 4 hour window they gave and the lady at the front desk was very sarcastic and says she does not ride with the contractors so she doesn't have any update.

something changed and the lady at the front desk is really bad and she should be not be in that line of work if she cannot handle couple of phone calls...

We had to call OTECH for an emergency water heater leak that we discovered late Saturday night. Even though I called Jafar on a Sunday afternoon, he responded quickly and professionally and was able to come out early Monday morning to asses what needed to be done.

To say the work was done quickly is an understatement; we had a new water heater ordered and installed in less than 48 hours! Jafar also was sure to let us know what type of water heater he was installing, how to register it for the warranty, potential trouble spots with the house's water pressure/HVAC/washer-dryer, etc. Jafar also responded to any call or txt quickly and informatively. To me, that is the definition of above and beyond, and I would like to return the favor by highly recommending OTECH to those in need of great plumbing/HVAC services.

Although you never hope to use services like these often, I feel comfortable in knowing that a call to OTECH is a call well spent.

Our heat broke, and with the abnormally cold weather we were very concerned about getting it fixed in time. Sila came within a few hours, and our technician was extremely informative and helpful. He fixed the problem promptly and showed me some other quick fixes I could do on my own. I would definitely recommend them in the future!

I have been a client of Snell for over 10 years and used to give them high marks. Not anymore!  Over the past couple years their service has gone down hill. I've had service contracts with them and been told I had to wait 4 months for an appointment. It's as if they are doing me a favor. They don't care if it's an emergency you just have to wait until it's convenient for them.

Today I called about a leak and was told I had to wait 2 weeks. I explained that I can have water leaking for 2 weeks but she didn't care. So even for emergencies - you have to wait. It's a shame they used to be good. I called Michael & Sions regarding the leak and they'll be here in the morning.

After years of dealing with dozens of horrible (and or expensive) plumbers in the DC area....Magnolia to the rescue!  Antoine showed up within an hour of calling (on a Saturday afternoon) and was quick, professional, and didn't try to rip us off.

I personally had a great experience with Jiffy.  I had several, major, spur of the moment repairs that Jiffy was able to correct quickly and with minimal disruption of my household.  I've ended up having to replace all my gas lines, my water service line and all my bathroom plumbing.  

I had called 3 other companies to get my service line replaced and it took several months to just get quotes and I could not get anyone to even start work.  Jiffy came in diagnosed the problem and had work started and finished within 2 weeks of my first call.  At the same time they determined that my gas line was less than half the size required for my service which needed to be replaced.  While all this was going on I had a contractor renovating my home who discovered rusted pipes in my bathroom.  Jiffy was able to come in and pull and replace everything in two days.  

Throughout the entire process I was in constant contact with Pete at jiffy who responded to every call, text and email usually within 20 minutes.  From my experience I cannot recommend their services enough.

Please be cautious of this company.  This review is regarding replacement of faucet and hose for my kitchen sink.  I ordered the part from Moen and called Real Plumbers to install the part for back in November 2016.  I chose them over Michael & Son because of pricing and the fact that I have used this company in the past.  However, I stopped because they started charging for service call backs.  The plumber installed the new faucet, but shortly there after I noticed that it was leaking.  Real Plumbers sent out a new plumber who looked at the faucet (mind you Real Plumbers wanted to charge me for this visit even though they installed it).  A new plumber said that the part needed to reorder.  However, two weeks later another plumber came and said the faucet did not need to be replaced, just tightened; so he tightened.  May 2017, the faucet is leaking lots of work that I had to turn it off.  So I call Real Plumbers back, they will send someone but there will be a charge; REALLY.  I am reminded that I stopped using them for a reason, but I was giving them another chance. To charge me for a problem that I identified with a service call the first TWO times, and to charge me a THIRD time for defective service is unacceptable to me. I called Michael & Sons.
