I hired them for 2 jobs in the past, but job #3 (today) was a disaster.

The job: fix a leaking bathroom sink faucet handle, and fix a leaking drain assembly in another bathroom. Somehow, this simple job turned into a disappointing saga of mismatched finishes, overpriced installs, upsells, and probably a few outright lies.

Sink #1:

The leaking handle faucet (apparently?) was said to have a broken cartridge. Did cartridge replacements go out of style? Apparently the whole faucet had to be nuked from orbit.  

Of course, a new faucet from the truck is $395 for the hardware and the installation. Top Gun, you DO know that faucets cost $50 at Home Depot, right? I would have bought a faucet ahead of time if I had known that you would want to replace the whole thing and if I had known that your faucets are lined with diamonds and cost more than my wedding band.

If you subtract $50 (the cost of a similar faucet at Home Depot) from the $395 cost for the faucet and installation combined, that leaves $345 for something that took one hour to install. That's RIDICULOUS.

Sink #2:

The truck also only provides chrome finish drain covers ($180 for the assembly and installation). My sink looked stupid with a brushed nickel faucet and shiny chrome drain cover.

I had to pitch a fit and call the plumber back - really, I just wanted him to return the plastic stalk with the drain cap on top (which he took with him) so I could try to put it back in myself, but he offered to replace the (perfectly fine) faucet for $140 so the drain cover and faucet looked the same. Yes, this adds up to $320, even though it was the same work and same parts as the previous sink ($395). Why was the first sink $75 more? I don't know, maybe you only get a discount on the second one.

Now, what I want to know is why the former brushed nickel drain cap and drain collar couldn't be used with the new drain assembly so that the faucet wouldn't also have to be replaced to match. Presumably, the new drain assembly is the same size as the old one since they fit in the same hole. I uploaded a photo of the pieces, because I think Top Gun's plumber just ripped us off here.

I wasn't there, and I'm really mad now that I wasn't. My husband supervised this job but he's not as handy and didn't know to ask about cartridges and swapping the nickel drain pieces. I think the plumber knew he didn't know and used it as an opportunity to upsell brand new chrome fixtures.

I would have canceled the job on the spot when the guy said the faucet would be $395 but we close on this house in less than 2 weeks and we're out of time for nonsense.

I was happy with Top Gun's water line and hot water tank and those were competitively priced with the other quotes I got at the time and lacking in the kind of bullshit on display here, but I won't be calling Top Gun again for anything. This was way too stressful and way too overpriced.

This formerly happy customer was so confident Top Gun would handle job #3 right that I didn't even bother to shop around. Now I'm just pissed and spreading the word.

What a lucky day for me! Nick from Ally heating was amazing. He showed up on time and was extremely knowledge with the Nest and heating system. He not only fixed my furnace quickly and also took the time to show me the proper way of installing and cleaning filters. I highly recommend Nick and Ally heating company for your heating service.

Shane is a life saver!  I have only one bathroom, so when toilet backed up from who-knows-where in the pipeline, I really needed quick attention to the problem. I called Shane in the evening. He picked up the phone right away and said he could be there first thing in the morning (my choice not to do emergency call  that night). Shane showed up on time, diagnosed the problem with ease, and fixed it in a half hour. He is responsive, professional, and pleasant to deal with. I will be using him again for future projects!

We had a clogged pipe which has caused a good amount of stress and damage. JC plumbing has helped reduce stress with the whole situation. Andrew came out and was a 10/10. He was so nice, friendly, answered all of our questions and explained things we didn't even know to ask.

I've worked with a couple plumbing companies so far and this one makes me feel like I can trust them.  Others left my gut feeling like they were misleading me. Herdman's is honest, very courteous, and very helpful. My technician's name was Brett and he was wonderful!

Gino came and fixed my problem in a few minutes. Very nice guy. They called before hand to tell me they were going to be later than expected so that really helped. Will use them again when I have a problem!

Wow!  If I could give more stars, I would.  Andrew and Dexter were beyond awesome!  I cannot remember the last time I experienced such fantastic customer service.  I called because I had a major blockage problem in my bathrooms and garage.  The washer, the shower, the bathtub, the toilets.  My first contact was with Tim, the owner.  He couldn't have been more receptive and accommodating.  I called at 12:00 p.m. and he had Andrew and Dexter at our house between 1:00 and 2:00 that same day.  Before beginning repairs, Andrew and Dexter analyzed the problems and wrote an estimate of exactly what needed to be done and the cost.  I knew it was going to be a big job and expected it to be a big bill.  However, based upon research I'd done it seemed a fair and reasonable quote.  Upon my approval, they began the repairs.  Each time a new issue arose, Andrew called me and informed me of available options.  Excellent communication throughout.  By the time I arrived home from work at 4:15, they were completely done!  Clearly, they had done a ton of work in a relatively short period of time.  I was astonished that the job had been completed and everything put back in it's place.  And to top it all off -  they gave me discounts so I paid LESS than I was even originally quoted!     They are at the top of my list -  I'm spreading the word!  Thank you Tim, Andrew and Dexter.

What can I say. Arash answered my call right away, and sent his technician Reza out that afternoon. He showed up on time and stayed till the work was done. I've used a lot of contractors and repairmen of late, and unfortunately that's not always the case. As far as I can tell, the job was done well (2 leaking faucets and a shut-off valve replacement), though admittedly time will tell. I won't hesitate to use Ridgid again.

We had Matt from Bee's come out to fix a slow drain in our hall bath. They were able to snake the clog as well as change out our old sink trap.

A few weeks later i was surprised to see that the trap itself was leaking when the sink was filled. Called Bees to have Matt come back out and look.

Matt was nice as usually and went right to work. After taking apart the trap he found that my toddlers had shoved toothbrushes down the sink which was causing the overflow to leak. Matt kindly cleared the drain and put everything back together for us for NO CHARGE! You couldnt ask for a better customer experience then that.

I highly recommend ZesBro Plumbing.  James arrived on time and with a professional but friendly approach.  He diagnosed the issues quickly and had the repairs done beautifully and had the area cleaned up before I knew it.  He gave us a quote on fixing other issues that we have had and even gave us the name of other professionals that he has workied with on other projects.  I have had other work done by big name companies and felt like I was taken for a ride.  Not with James.  Thanks so much.

Wow -- very easy to engage Fritz's. They returned my calls promptly. They showed up right on schedule -- quickly diagnosed the problem as more minor than we originally thought (and made some recommendations for future work that we could have done by any plumber or could do ourselves). They were in and out quickly and the bill was less than I expected. I'm sold. Will use them for any future emergency.

Isaiah swiftly analyzed a plumbing fail three other companies diagnosed incorrectly, and returned with Paul to fix a major problem within just a few hours. After three months of no water in a downstairs bathroom the restoration was much appreciated. Company communication, from time the technicians would arrive to the initial estimate and final bill, was excellent. I've used a number of plumbing outfits--this is the best experience I've ever had.

So it all started when my toilet backed up  ...
I googled a septic pumping company which unfortunately you guys weren't my 1st call but the company was a mess they made us wait around for 9 hours then no showed so I ended up canceling my next appointment and called you guys . Jim and his coworker showed up on time . My wife was home and showed them where the septic was located they had it pumped and fixed in no time . Wife said they were a pretty entertaining telling stories about the stuff they have seen etc . Definitely use again , and be my 1st call keep up the good work guys.

I had a clogged kitchen and bathroom sink issue that came up in another rental so I called Harts again. Steven and Mark showed up and managed to clear out the bathroom and kitchen sink all for $93 which was amazing.

Fortunately/unfortunately, they also pointed out that my kitchen was incorrectly plumbed which was another $600 fix. However they were able to give me the $50 yelp discount which helped out!  

Mark and Steven are punctual, quick and really easy to work with. They take the time to explain the whole situation and educate me about the issues occurring on my property. They're also able to take payments over the phone which is super helpful as well!

My advise if you hire Roman: write down the time he arrives and the time he is done and make him sign that or you he will try to make you pay way more than you need to at $140/hour.

Oh and he will not be polite if you complain. Very awkward experience.

I booked an appointment for electrical work over a week ago.  They took the appointment, confirmed it and then today when they were supposed to be here I received a call saying they couldn't keep the appointment because I was outside of their service area.  Seriously?  They couldn't have known that when they accepted the work to begin with?

Very disappointed and wouldn't recommend them to anyone anywhere.  They are incompetent.
