They came out a week ago and said they cleared the drain in my kitchen that was clogged. After that the drain still didn't drain properly and I called them a week later only to be informed they don't warrant drain cleaning. Basically they want to charge me again for work they didn't perform right the first time! Do not use this company. When it was Fritz they were much better and honored their work, now not so much.

Available 24/7? Maybe their answering service is, not the Plumbers. When I called about leaking water heater that required the main to be shut off, I was told that they don't work weekends and that the following Thursday is the soonest they could come take a look. 4-5 days wait for a no water call? No thank you. I'm just glad I didn't have a sewage back up. I can appreciate being busy, but in a business that works on emergency calls (versus only doing new construction & installs, for example) they should state that in their ad/web site.

We recently moved into a new home and a few weeks in, I found that maybe our home inspector didn't quite tighten up some of our plumbing after he checked out our house.

I contacted Fritz's drain service on Yelp via messenger and they replied promptly. They confirmed it wasn't an emergency and we scheduled an appointment for the following day.

On the day of our appointment, Christopher gave me a heads up that he was on his way about a half hour before his arrival which was a nice touch. He was super nice, very polite and professional (I was on a few work calls at the time when he arrived) and he handled the issues with one of our sinks and our garbage disposal quickly and efficiently. He also explained his work, which I liked. I found their pricing very fair.

I will definitely contact them again when we need their services.

I also just discovered Fritz retired. Had been using him for years at the condo I manage. The guy did a great job clearing a clogged kitchen drain on the 5th floor but the cost was at least 30% more! Then they wanted payment instead of billing the management company. Need to know about these changes up front not after the fact.

We had a pretty good experience with Fritz's Drain Service. They were prompt in answering our phone call and we got an appointment within two days. Even though they have stellar reviews on Yelp, I didn't think we would get them to come by that quickly.

Instead of coming late, they came early to our appointment. It actually caught me off guard because I'm so used to people coming late. The only critique I had was that, if you're going to come early, a phone call would have nice. My husband was on his way home from work so he wasn't there to consult and etc. Instead, it was just me cluelessly directing them where to go for the drainage problem.

Juan was the main contractor who was looking at our drainage problem. He was really nice and professional - so was the other guy that was assisting him. He was thorough in answering my questions and it took about less than an hour to bring his machine in to clear the pipe that was backed up. His machine cleared a lot of the branches that was blocking the sewage drain. In total, it costed about $200. They provided fast and efficient service. We now can use our bathrooms!! :) We are so appreciative that everything is fixed. We definitely take for granted the power of drainage!

We had a clog in our kitchen drain 5 foot out and had tried draino, hot water and using a cheapo snake we bought from the hardware store but with no luck.

Mr Fritz arrived on time and got our kitchen drain unclogged within minutes. His price is fair and reasonable as well.

Fritz was really professional with their drain service. Our kitchen pipe was clogged up over th holidays and despite using both househould and industrial snakes to try to unclog the pipes in our wall, we ran out of ideas on what we could do to fix it. The issue was so serious that I considered if I couldn't get it fixed in time, I might have to man up and walk over to my ex-roommate's place to embarrassingly ask to use her washer and dryer for laundry...no jokes! @_@

On the day of the service, Fritz sent Juan over. Juan was professional. He finished some of his job early and called to see if I would happen to be at home earlier than my scheduled appointment so he could come and even fix it earlier. I was more than happy to let him come early so I could get on with my work! :) Juan was friendly and knowledgeable. After telling him that we had tried to snake the pipes ourselves already and where some of the issues were, he got right to work, took just 10-15 minutes to snake the kitchen pipes far into our walls where the clog occurred and *magic* the sink worked again! :D

The charge was very reasonable. Juan gave me receipt and told me that the unclogging/drain service is also under 30 day warranty (e.g. I could call again within 30 days if the issue resurface and they could come fix it for free). I was so glad I could leave for work a few hours earlier than I thought I could! :)

Highly recommend Fritz for plumbing/drain services! They are knowledgeable, professional and fair with their price! We know whom we we will be calling the next time this issue happened again! :)

Highly recommend these guys for your drain clean out needs. Had my sewer line backup and the company I usually use did not have an appointment available for 2 days. I called Fritz on their recommendation and I am so glad I did! When I first called they were booked out to Monday (problem happened on Thursday). I asked if they could put me on their cancellation callback list. They called me the next morning and said they could help me out (Friday) due to a cancellation. At the time I had made another appointment with one of the big companies who were going to charge me 3x the price, but being desperate I booked an appointment. Well they never showed up! So I called Fritz back and they had Juan at my door in less than 30 minutes!
Excellent and friendly customer service. Very knowledgeable, skilled and super nice serviceman Juan.

They are now my go to company for my drain service company!

I have a new favorite plumber! Travis and his partner came out on a Friday afternoon to replace my garbage disposal and were just terrific - start to finish. I live in a historically old, quirky building in the heart of downtown Seattle, but they had no trouble finding parking, figuring out the quirks to my place and getting the job done quickly, easily and without trouble. Plus, they were nice, easy to talk to, and explained everything to me from the replacement to the spare parts and warranty. I will definitely be calling these guys for all of my future plumbing projects. Thank you!

I had an urgent plumbing problem with a leaking sump pump that Fritz helped figure out over the phone on the spot. We had never spoken before, and he was not planning to make a house call, yet he was incredibly generous with his time and spent about 15 minutes with me and another person to walk us through what to do.

He didn't ask for anything in return (like money or even a Yelp review), so I am very impressed with and thankful for his generosity and professionalism.

We've used Fritz multiple times at multiple properties and they are fantastic. The latest service call was at our home with a blocked tub drain which was tricky to say the least. Fritz and co. not only tried the standard snake process (which proved not enough at first) but were committed to unblocking the drain and gave the extra effort/techniques needed to make that happen.

wow, I hired another plumber for a kitchen drain. The two guys came and spent the next 2.5 hours trying to snake the drain, only to tell me I needed to replace some pipes and have an electric jet used to clear the pipe. They said a different guy would come in the morning to start the work.

I quickly called Fritz, he was able to come right away, and had the drain cleared in ... 15 minutes! I couldn't believe it, he didn't even take the p-trap out! And the best part, the bill was only $122.50. Just amazing.

BEWARE ! Fritz retired and now Allied Plumbing is taking their calls. (Allied Plumbing must have the worst 'on hold' music I have EVER heard: sounds like a children's endless beeping toy and goes on and on. Seriously? Allied said others have complained - but the owner doesn't care. Hey owner of Allied: when we are hold with a plumbing problem (stress !!) we do not want to listen to hyper, annoying sounds that go on and on. come on ! That was a deal breaker for me. Fritz is gone. Allied: listen up or maybe other loyal customers to FRITZ (now retired) we never use you as well? ANNOYING !!!

It's all he does and he's the best! I've used him several times over the past 15 years and two different houses. With 3 girls in a home, means hair and who knows what else down the drains and toilets. We're not talking just a bathtub that drains slow, we're talking sewage coming up a drain. He is half the price of any plumbing company. If you do have an issue that turns out to be a major outside of home sewer line break, etc., he doesn't do that type of work, but has great people he can refer you to. It's hard to find plumbing companies that aren't trying to scam you into thinking something is urgent and way over charging you. Honest work for a fair price.

Fritz's was the first company we called when we finally threw the towel in on a clogged side sewer line. We had tried clearing it ourselves without success for two days, called Fritz and got an appointment a couple days later. The two fellas who came out to do the work were patient and repeatedly snaked the drain until they finally got it semi-clear. They didn't know what was down there still, so couldn't guarantee the line would stay clear. They did recommend a video inspection (and suggested another company) to figure out what we were dealing with, which is what we ended up doing. If you know for sure you only need snaking, Fritz's is the one to call!

There are several business I keep going back to. For example, I've been eating sushi at Maneki in Japantown every week for the past ten years, without a single bad experience. Any business that can maintain consistent quality with consistently solid customer-service earns my loyalty and $$. Fritz's Drain Services is another example.

Root cleaning can surely be a stressful affair for any homeowner. It is often coupled with backed up water, inability to use water in your own home and, in my case, a clean-out that is smack in the middle of my semi-finished basement, so it's never without worries that a couple guys need to bring in this behemoth of a machine into my house, navigate it to the clean-out, perform the job and leave no trace :-).

Living in an old house (built 1908) with clay-links sewer line and large hedge over the line, I require regular root cleanings. I have been using Fritz's for over five years and keep getting that consistent quality product delivered by some really nice people. Namely, Juan. This guy proved his professional integrity by recommending habits (use Scott's 1000!) that actually reduced the frequency of root cleaning for my home. He cares about the customer first, which earned him my business. On top of that he's always nice, respectful and helpful beyond the scope of the job.

Don't get me wrong, I hope to see these guys as infrequently as possible :-), but when I start seeing backup in the basement I am a tad less stressed knowing that Fritz's and Juan are on the job.

I had a bad experience with a different plumber (Bee's Plumbing) so did a lot more research before contacting Fritz's Drain Service. They were great! They scheduled a visit promptly and were able to get our kitchen sink drain snaked through the vent on the roof (never would have occurred to me).

They tested thoroughly afterwards, and looked at another drain for me as well.

Professional job by his team and they were very informative at the same time to help me prevent future clogs.

As the story goes clogged drain in the kitchen. We can't cook so I try go about fixing it myself. Snaked, Vacuumed, drano, with no avail. This goes on for 3 days.

Read the reviews called the number. And Fritz answers it. Said he will arrive by 1pm and sure he does. Parks his car in front of my building grabbed his tools and followed me up 3 flights of stairs. I told him what I already did. He assessed the problem and quickly went to work.

Very Jolly gentlemen who knows his craft. As he has been doing it for over 40 years.

Save your time and money. These guys are dependable, honest, and fair.

Local company that deserves your business. I always support local.

Drain is working. Dinner is served. We are happy yelpers.

I called Fritz's right before Christmas because I had a backup going into my basement. Unfortunately, they were not able to come out until a few days later so I called Rescue Rooter. That was a big mistake! They told me they would be at my house in 2 hours, but they showed up 3 1/2 hours later. I headed to work and let my wife take care of it. When they arrived they said it would cost $389 to fix the problem. Knowing Fritz was a bunch cheaper, my wife was able to get them down to $200. They only did the sewer line and then told my wife it would be an additional $369 to fix the original problem. My wife was so mad that she kicked them out. When I got back from work that night I called Recuse Rooter back up and they sent out a different guy who was really nice and clear the problem, no more yucky wet basement! The next day we found out we had a different clog and called Fritz. Fritz's came out and said they charge $125(?) to clean out the clogged drain. That is over $250 difference! Also, Juan was very nice and knowledgeable. They don't hard sell you or try to up sell you like the other places. In fact, he down sold. I was going to get the main line cleared of roots, but he told me I should wait since it was not that bad. Also, what Juan did what the others did not do, was test and test and retest to make sure the clog was gone.
So if you have a clogged main sewer line or any other clogged pipes, give them a call. They are the type of Small business you want to work with.

I have an older house and have tree roots drilled out of the line every other year to make sure things stay clean. I called Fritz's drain previously and the service perfomed was fine. The cost was about $250 for a straight drill out of one line.

This time I called them our and asked for the drains to be cleaned out again. They came out and said there was no issue with the drains and unclogged a toilet for my renters....not why I called them. Mailed me a bill for $120.

Now 5 1/2 weeks later, I have water pouring into my basement. When I called, they said they could not come out until almost noon. I expressed my frustration and his response was 'I'll cancel the invoice from the last servies...call someone else.'

The other plumber that came out, put a camera down the line and said it was almost complely blocked up....which is what I had expected. That level of growth is not possible over 5 weeks in the middle of winter.

Clearly...this vendor has been deleted from my list of providers.

Update: Interesting...as soon as my review was written, the owner called me back and told me that he now intends to charge me for the full service that was initially provided. So, just know that honest feedback receives retaliation.

Bathroom sink and tub stopped draining yesterday. The drain pipes in our 1911 bungalow are too small and grow a black funk that might make an interesting research topic. Called Fritz. Problem solved in less than 24 hours. (I normally snake my own drains, but this pipe geometry was beyond me.)

I have used Fritz and his crew for years. They are unfailingly fast, friendly, professional, and damn good at what they do. Did I mention they removed the sewage that had backed up into my mom's basement shower unasked and at no extra charge?

Fritz is a legend. You want him and/or his crew to do your work.

Juan and Alvaro showed up in a shiny black SUV and got down to business. They fixed my backed up basement drain in about 15 minutes and dispelled my fears that I would need a french sump pump system put in as told me by another company when I told them about the back up. They're idiots, Juan stated flatly, looking a lot like the guy with the beard on Fast and Loud. They just want to make money. There is a 30 day guaranty on their work and they only accept cash or personal check. Thanks guys! I think you should start your own reality show about plumbing - seriously!

Super thankful that these guys had an open slot. Called 2 other companies where one was completely unresponsive and the other canceled last minute. Our tenants had a clogged sink drain and our handyman was unable to clear it. Mentioning this to other plumbing companies seem to make them salivate as they mentioned doomsday type diagnoses over the phone. In 72 hours I grew wary of the whole plumbing industry and got that gut feeling that most companies are predatory. However, these guys are legit, honest and get down to business. They cleared the drain in record time for much less than what was quoted by some companies and much much less that the worst case scenarios that were suggested by those that love the smell of fear, naïveté and dollar signs. I rarely leave 5 star reviews because I'm a pessimist...and honestly nobody truly goes above and beyond anymore but Fritz has restored my faith in humanity.

Was great just like everyone said, showed up quickly and my tenants said they did great work. I'm not giving 5 stars only because they refused to communicate by text message and can only send bills by mail. This requires that for even minor updates I had to call, leave a message, get a call back (which was sometimes a voicemail) try calling again etc etc. Overall it was a pretty big waste of my time compared to my experience with nearly all other vendors. Same goes for email since 100% of my bills are done electronically I have to spend time dealing with snail mail just to find out the final bill amount and I have to go get checks just to pay. It's 2016 and this kind of thing isn't really acceptable anymore.

Used them twice. Recommended to my family, they also had great experience.

2013: I tried to fixed the clog on the bathroom sink, destroyed the thread on the pipe. I couldn't un-clog the drain, but I also made the matter worst. I searched on Yelp, and called Fritz. Fritz (owner) came the same day and un-clogged the drain and fixed the mess that I made for the price for regular service call plus a small discount (maybe I am just a cool dude). After he left, I found a slow drip from the pipe because I destroyed the tread on the pipe. I called Fritz again and ask if he can fix that for me. He came back an hour later with sealant and new connector, fixed the drip for me. I asked him how much for the job, he said free...

2015: This time the tub drain is clogged. I didn't mess around this time. Called the next morning and got the same day appointment. Fritz didn't come (I was a bit disappointed at first because he is just a nice dude). Juan and one more person came to help this time. Juan was a bit more talkative that's why I remember his name. Juan and guy un-clogged the drain in the quickest. Service call price was still the same as before.

Overall amazing business. I will use them again. Oh, by the way, they don't sell you new pipes and lines.

These guys rock! Came out to fix my sink in my new place. It was leaking, wouldn't drain properly...etc. The guy from a different place installed it incorrectly, and the two guys that came out from Fritzs' fixed it all up. They filled it for me and drained it to show me there were no leaks. Very thorough and professional, and it wasn't like an awkward house call, we were able to talk casually and the guys were super nice.

Definitely will be using and recommending them in the future!

Perfecto! Could not be happier. We were shocked late Thursday evening to find brown water backed up in the basement of our 1928 Wallingford home. The main drain leading out was plugged! I called somebody on Friday morning highly recommended on yelp, but they couldn't get anybody out for a week and referred me to Fritz. I left a message at 7 AM and got a callback about 30 minutes later. They got somebody scheduled to come here at four, but then I got a call back saying they had had a cancellation and could be here at noon. I was met here by a knowledgeable and professional young Mexican guy and his apprentice of same demographic. They snaked out my drain for 150 bucks, told me how to prevent future problems and got the problem completely solved with absolutely no up-selling and trying to make a simple job into a 30,000 buck job. Five star plus service and result.

When Your Drain Is On The Fritz, Call Fritz!!!

Over the years I have instinctively called the two big names with the initials RR. Every time they left, I felt violated! the last time it was $400 for about a 15 minute, 10' bath sink drain auger job! They are always trying to sell you on something more, whether it be a camera, water jet, or highly marked up drain cleaner! After the last time I had enough!!

After the big summer storm, I had a storm drain clog. I first ordered a 1/2 x 50' auger from Amazon, that didn't do it. I then rented a 1/2 x 75' (it measured 5/8) powered auger from Home Depot. After a day with that, and three days total trying to avoid calling the RR's, I saw one of them had a $88 special, and broke down and called them. Of course, it didn't pertain to my problem! WTF?! The other one had a $50 off special. They quoted me (thru a manager) a min of $336.94, or $286.94 after the special. I then turned to Yelp!

Fritz came right to the top with the best rating. I called them, and you get to talk directly to the owner, Fritz! I had to wait a few days because they only have one crew. Today I had a 1:00 appointment. Nobody shows! I am starting to think here we go!!, at 1:10 the phone rings. It Fritz the owner and he apologizes, and said the guys are running about 20 minutes late. I thought that was great customer service! The guys (Juan and Mike) show up and go to work. They started with their small auger to try to save me $! Knowing I had tried with no avail with a bigger one, I was cautiously optimistic. They fought it for quite awhile, which made me a bit worried, but it also kind of made me feel better for failing myself! They got it, and I could now run two garden hoses down it full steam without it backing up!

I don't know if I should post the cost here since every job might be different, but lets just say it was Well under half of the Min the one RR quoted me, even with their special!! And I have no doubt they would have raped me for even more than that, they always have!

So, learn from my mistakes, there are other, and Better options out there! These guys are great, and I will be using them from now on!!

PS I forgot to mention that I was a little outside of their service area, but they still accommodated me!

Homeowners...You need to save this man's phone number!

So, I'm a plumbing contractor and from time to time I get calls asking me to unclog a drain or sewer. When I tell people I don't do that type of work they are puzzled....OK, for those who don't know there are many type of plumbers out there....I do new construction and commercial work....

When I need a drain snaked I call this guy. I've have sent many-a-homeowner Fritzs' way as well...They all call to tell me thanks for the referral! All this man does is clean drains....as silly as it sounds there is an art to it...I asked him once and he said he's done about 30k of them!! I don't want to get in trouble and quote prices, but most service calls are around $150.00. That's a HUGE savings over the guys that have huge Yellow Page ads!

Fritz was SOOO Helpful over the phone today, and helped me resolve a toilet problem step by step. I had a clog in my main sewer line and had these guys fix it for me. They arrived on time, were friendly, and did the job quick. They even snaked my bathroom sink for me and fixed the drain, which had been broken since I purchased my home. After everything was finished, they gave me some advice to avoid problems in the future, which I really appreciated since I'm a new homeowner in an old house. I loved that they charged a low, flat fee for this service, which made me feel like I wasn't being taken advantage of.

Had a great experience with Fritz's Drain Service. We had a blocked bathtub because we have an old drumtrap pipe. Spoke to Fritz directly and he gave me a very upfront and competitive price to fix the problem ($117 before tax). He sent two guys out to my house within an hour of calling and they fixed the problem immediately. While one of the guys was getting the payment information ready the other took a quick look at a leaky faucet for me and fixed that too as a favor (didn't charge me). They also gave me a 30 day guarantee that my bathtub drain wouldn't clog.

Can't ask for more. We'll definitely be using Fritz's again.

During inspection of our house by a buyer a root blockage was discovered. The sewer scope company recommend three companies to do the job. After calling all three for a quote and quickest response, we went with Frtiz's Drain Service. Fritz himself answered the call and was friendly and helpful. His company was the least expensive and we were able to schedule the service call within a couple of days.

The day of the call they arrived a few minutes earlier than scheduled and wasted no time getting to the job. Evan was the crew lead and had one assistant. The line was cleared fast and the work was explained to us in detail. The job site was cleaned and they explained the warranty of the service.

Very happy with everything about this company. Will use them again if the need arises.

Juan and Mike came out and were amazing. We just had RR come out a month ago and the same problem occurred with pipes backing up into our basement bathroom. The 2 upper floor toilets plugged up while the bottom one worked fine, I called Fritz's number and he answered the phone, He said he could do the job 2 days later, he gave me his prices: $112.50+tax for job on inside house line and $192.50+tax on main line service, including removal and installation of the toilet if needed. He arrived on time, was pleasant, did the job and checked to see that all drains worked well. He did not ask for extra charge as did a competitor who came for the same job 2 days earlier ( I had declined their service of course ). I highly recommend Fritz's Drain Service!!!!!!

These are great - we had a plugged main line in our home which we just moved into.

We had previously had roto-rooter come out and they wanted ~$450 to snake a main line! After I told the RR guy that $450 for an hour's worth of work was robbery, the price changed to $350 ---clearly RR is in the gouging business.... don't worry RR, you'll be on the receiving end of a negative review shortly.

So, we called Fritz on the recommendation of our real estate agent. Very professional, fairly priced, and efficient. Would highly recommend them to somebody else.

I called Fritz's as the toilet would begin to bubble during our morning showers. Immediately after I explained what was happening I was told you have a blockage somewhere between your toilet and the street. Nice to get a diagnoses right then and there! The crew came out today and was ON TIME, which seems rare nowadays. They were courteous and respectful. They snaked the drain which was filled with roots and other grossness, recommended a different brand of toilet paper and even cleaned up after themselves. All in all, it took them an hour, snaked the drain a couple of times with the 150 foot snake and did clean up! Plus, there is a 30 day warranty. How great is that?

Disappointed. Waited a week to have them come out to clear a kitchen sink drain line. Overall service was fine, though they did show up several hours early while I was on a video call, which was not convenient. They offer a 30 day guarantee. Wonderful. Our drain began backing up on day 34. Called on day 35 to be told they would charge me full price to come out again. No willingness to work with me in any way. They then told me I had to retain my invoice for the guarantee to be in place. The guarantee that they aren't honoring because it's 5 days over. Never mind I have the check they cashed to show poof of service and if I go through piles of papers I could probably find the invoice- but what's the point? This drain has not had an issue before, and if it had been more than just a few days over the guarantee I wouldn't mind this rigidity, or if they'd offer a discount, but I feel like I got shoddy service on the drain itself to have it back up again so soon, and then again on customer service. I have a different company coming out tomorrow and wouldn't recommend Fritz's.

Like another recent reviewer, I also had a not-exactly-pleasant experience with a local plumbing company (buzz-buzz). The irony is, I had researched Fritz's Drain Service previously, and saw all the 5-star reviews on Yelp. But after getting both an in-person bad vibe and an outrageous quote from buzz-buzz plumbing company, I realized I should have contacted Fritz to begin with. As soon as I said goodbye/no thanks to the plumbers, I called Fritz, and got a good vibe and a fair quote. Stroke of luck, I was able to make an appointment for the same day, and he himself arrived at my home within the hour. He was fair, honest, courteous, professional, efficient, cleaned up after himself, and--most importantly--my kitchen sink drain now appears to be clear (if it turns out not to be clear, he offers a 30-day guarantee). The total price I paid was over $225 cheaper than the total estimate quoted to me by buzz-buzz. I hope I never have to, but I won't hesitate to call Fritz in the future if I have another drain problem.

Fritz is my first call for any drainage problems. He takes care of anything from a clogged up tub to a blocked up side sewer. He answers his own phone, shows up when he says he will and cleans up after himself when he is done. Forget Rooter Whatever, call Fritz. He won't try to sell you treatments or expensive video of your lines. Just remember though, he doesn't take plastic but he will bill you.

I contacted Fritz based on the reviews in Puget Sound Consumer Checkbook. I had a leaking bathroom sink that neither I nor a slightly more qualified buddy could fix. Evan came over with an apprentice - he took care of the sink and because there was a $100 minimum charge for an hour - there was time left over so they also did the shower (which really needed to be done) and it has worked great since. Evan will take of your drain problem - he stays on it and works the problem. If you have extra time - have him do other drains.

My main sewer drain clogged overnight and I called Fritz, having had an excellent prior experience with him for a side sewer issue two years ago. He called me back the next morning and scheduled a visit for noon. But his team called me an hour later and said that they could come two hours earlier, which was great. Fritz's Drain Service was recommended to me by my friend who has used them for years. I had called a major Seattle plumbing business for an estimate, was told my drain needed to be snaked out to the street, etc. and given an estimate of just over $1000. Fritz sent his guys that same day, they just barely snaked the drain clear and DIDN'T CHARGE because it was so minimal-!!!!! This drain has now been perfectly fine for over a YEAR! They tidied everything up and were very careful to check that all possible problems were fixed before leaving.

These guys are great! They were due at 9:00am and showed up at exactly 9:00am. I had a nasty clogged side sewer, Juan and Mike got their equipment out, went to work and had it all done in less than an hour. They had to work with a camera crew sent by PSE to be sure there was no gas line cutting through the sewer line or they would have been done even sooner. They were both very pleasant and professional and I got some great tips from Juan on keeping the line clear as well. Wouldn't call anyone else if I needed drain service again.

I called Fritz's to unclog a upstairs bathroom sink that one of my roommates had dropped a bottle cap into. I was quoted a price that was fair and I made an appointment for the same day. Two people arrive on time. As it turned out, it was a difficult drain to unclog. They worked longer than anticipated...but they got it eventually and the price was as quoted. The job was so difficult that the boss was called and he came over. They had already opened the drain by the time he arrived. Nevertheless, he want to be certain and he ran another snake down the drain. They kept their quoted price and fixed the issue. I am certain a number of other vendors would be charged more. I am stunned this guy has so many good reviews. He was recommended to me so I called to see if he could clear a sewer drain that leads from my house to the street. First he had me go to a Seattle city website to see if there was a drain line or a drain field. At the time I wondered why he didn't look it up. In any case I looked it up and the web site indicted I had a drain that leads to the street. Per Fritz, I thought this was good news and he could come out and clear it with a snake as he indicated during first phone call. When I called back with this news he started asking more questions and insinuating there might be a drain field anyway. Why did he ask me to look on the web then and why is he so hesitant to come to house and look for himself?!?! He is supposed to be the expert. He then suggested I start digging the ground where the downspout goes to the sewer line! I finally asked him if he was interested in doing this job because it sounded like he was not. People like him are why people like me call for help and service. Fritz provided neither. Each time he asked me to do something I want to say, Isn't that your job? Needless to say I will not be dealing with this joker.

We thought that our sewer line was clogged. Called these folks up based on ratings here, but were a little hesitant. They arrived about 10 minutes early, surveyed the situation and told us there was no sewer line clog based on what they saw. They could have done all kinds of tests, procedures, etc. to run up a bill, but they didn't. We had a couple slow drians they snaked out while here and were gone in a flash. The price was right, the work was great and the people easy to work with. I'd call them again with out the hesitations.

We had a nasty backup of sewage into our basement. This has happened before due to tree roots in our main sewer line. We used a national drain cleaning companies before but did not feel right with them and they kept trying to up sell us. They suggested we replace our entire sewer line, that they could do that week.
A friend of ours suggested we call Fritz, so we did and he came out pretty quickly. He got to work and had it all taken care of within 15 minutes. He used a sharp tool that cut the roots instead of just pushing them out of the way like the others did. Also, his costs were about half as much. When I asked him about replacing my sewer line, he said that we really did not need to do just because of the roots.
We felt good using Fritz, very professional and we did not feel like we were being taken advantage of. Nice honest guy that we can trust. I would highly recommend his service to anyone needing it.

Honest and reputable company! We have a slow-draining storm drain outside our house that was pooling water during the recent heavy rains, and threatening to enter our home. I called Fritz's this morning and he had someone here this afternoon. After looking down our drain, the person determined that there was just a bunch of mud that entered with all the runoff, and that is what is causing the clog. This was a relief to hear, as I thought it was a much bigger issue with where the pipe drained, roots, etc. Unfortunately, he didn't have the tools to remove our drain grate, but told my husband how to do it with tools we have (just a simple, but time-consuming hammer/chisel operation) and said all it needed was to be shoveled out and dry-vac-ed, again, something we can and are willing to do ourselves. Not as big of a problem as we thought, and he didn't charge us at all for his time and advice. If we do end up having another need for a drain/pipe service - we are definitely calling Fritz's.

When I first called Fritz on a Friday his message said he'd be out of the office until the next Wednesday. Since I was calling about a routine side sewer clean out, I was not in a hurry. However, I was pleasantly surprised when I heard from Fritz on Tuesday (a full day ahead). This was especially appreciated since I had called two other services several times and neither had called me back. He was very matter-of-fact and expedient on the phone, but that was fine. Juan was training a new guy, who was not the best listener, but polite and got the job done quickly--just cut out roots. The price was similar to what we'd paid other services in past years. I will happily call Fritz's Drain Service again next year. Thanks for making this annual maintenance item, easy.

When I first called, the guy answered the phone and was polite and quoted me the price to do a basic drain-cleaning. No problem. The price was very reasonable and we set an appointment the next day for someone to come out. They called and told me that they would be late, but they were on a difficult job, and they called before they were due to arrive at my house. Before they actually arrived, they called and told me they were on their way. Two guys showed up and were nice and professional. They brought in the snake. This is what they do, by the way. They do not do repairs. They just snake the drain. It took under an hour. It actually ended up costing me less than what they quoted me, which was a real blessing, let me tell ya. They gave me some tips such as not to put baby wipes, cleansing wipes, Q-tips, flossers or floss, Northern toilet paper, Charmin toilet paper, or any other quilted/soft toilet paper down the drain. These will surely clog your drain and cost you lots of money in the long run. Better to buy Scott's. It may not feel as good to the touch, but it will make your wallet feel good in the long run. Thank you Fritz. I definitely recommend these guys. Just go easy on them. After all, they drove a long way and are slushing around in the muck just so you can have your toilet and shower water go out the sewer properly. Thank you!
