The representative on the phone was great. He told me when the technician would arrive and was very courteous.  When the technician Chad came, he was very thorough, arrived on time, and solved my problem efficiently. I ended up needing a new sump pump.

On sept 4 technicians Bob and Mike came to my house to fix a leak. They were very professional, timely, and very thorough. I would strongly recommend roto-rooter for all your plumbing needs.

Good quick service, very thorough and professional service tech.  No point of reference on the cost but considering we were without a kitchen sink for a couple of days, well worth the price to get the drain working again.  Only thing that kept this from being a 5 star rating was that I was called and told they would be arriving in half an hour so left work to meet them, received another call about an hour later saying the techs were all busy and waited another hour or so. The tech arrived and fixed the problem within the allotted 4 hour window so I can't complain too much about the specific timing.

$315 to unclog a kitchen sink? Taking advantage of people is an unethical way to do business! You should be ashamed of yourselves!

The guy that cane out tonight was great! Was super friendly even though it was a midnight call. We wouldn't go any place else than here. We will even refer friends & family. Thank you!

I will preface this review by stating that I am so freaking sick of dealing with the bowel issues of my humble abode. Hubby wants no part of this so I am left to my own devices.

I get a wee twitch when I start to see back up in my basement drains.  From past issues I know that sometimes my drains are just taking a break from doing their jobs or are ready to go on strike. Wildcat it was!

This always occurs on a weekend. If you have read my posts you know the plumbers that I detest.  There are many with many opinionated suggestions.

Roto-rooter came to mind. I knew my drains needed a snaking.  I know very well the internal workings of my home.  Filled out an application online for a Saturday visit and was contacted within 20 minutes.  Tech showed up with his snaking apparatus within the next 30 minutes.

I found a $40.00 coupon online. For this type of service. However my freaking new printer is on Holiday so I had no way to print this out. Tech indicated no big issue, he would accept coupon because I had mentioned it.  Life always should be so good!

Bottom line, end result...I am so happy!  The total bill for a Saturday job came to $299.00. With a warranty!  I'm happy.

I am in the middle of a Roto Rooter cluster f**k! The photos are here.
The technician had to quit at 11pm last night saying they would have someone finish the work today. I called RR at 11:15 to find out there wasn't anybody coming until tomorrow!
The quote given was for 796.59. It's now 880.00 and climbing.

This is the second time I have used Roto-Rooter and both experiences have been great.

This time the service tech was Ray F 3127 who was quick courteous and professional. Actually was able to come ahead of scheduled which was a big plus.

Definitely recommend them.

The customer service from both the person who answered the phone as well as the individual plumber who came to my house were excellent. The response time was extremely impressive as I let them know this wasn't an emergency, however a rep was here within 45-minutes. That's pretty impressive.

I am only giving 3-stars though mainly do to the price. The quality of work was excellent, but other plumbers are going to be much, much cheaper.

I would call Roto-Rooter nonetheless again

We had a surprise burst hose in the basement.  We needed fast service, and  a plumber arrived within one hour, assessed the problem and had it fixed at a reasonable price within a couple of hours.  Can't ask more from a plumber.

FYI, we also called Cellino Plumbing and they couldn't get anyone out for days.  Not helpful when water is shooting all over the place.  I will stick with Roto Rooter.

Mixed review - We had the trap to our sewer line replaced last week.  The workers were professional on time and explained the entire process clearly.  The week previously we had a service call to have the line unplugged.  The technician was unable to determine the cause of the backup and called for a camera.  Another technician came with a camera but it broke when he tried to put it through the trap.  They promised that another camera person would arrive before the end of the day.  I sat around all day waiting and no one came.  I had to call the next day to see what happened.  The dispatcher had no record so had to explain in detail and schedule another appt.

Dispatcher came two hours late for sump pump replacement (basement flooded). Service was decent though, pump was replaced nicely. The basement remains wet, I wish they dried it out as they said they would.

We had Roto-Rooter come out recently to help us figure out what was going on with our sump-pump. It didn't seem to be draining properly and there was mysterious water on the floor. They helped us to attempt to figure it out. They used a camera to 'snake' through the drainage tile so we could figure out where the problem was, and maybe see the problem. We couldn't quite figure it out. The next step was for a high-pressure water jetting technician to come a clean out the drainage tile. Dave W. helped us with that and did a great job. He was polite and helpful. He also made some recommendations on a new sump, which we also followed up with using Roto-Rooter. Overall, great experience, both with the office staff and the technicians. Very happy to use them again, and recommend them!

I called Roto-Rooter again because my sump pump, which I had bought from another plumbing firm, quit on me. RR supplied me with one that is far superior, and it made me realize that I really never had a sump pump that was effectively installed before. RR employs some of the best plumbers around. [edit--I guess this sounds like a freudian slip, but it's the truth.]

I've used them in the past and have not had any problem however this time I had a sewer backup, that flooded out my basement.  They unclogged the drain and I contracted them for water restoration (unfinished basement) with home owners insurance along with having them replace a section of pipe in front yard.  They took 2 weeks (should have been done in less than a week and they drug Thier feet on getting the pipe fixed in the front yard so of course the mitigation team held off on their part of the job untill the pipe was fixed,  and they ran Thier equipment for that whole time, then they screwed up on the billing making the bill double what the claim was and telling me I am responsible for the difference...what a scam and they didn't even finish the job in the front yard...looks terrible...don't use them, they are over priced, difficult to deal with, and they do a lousy job

I had an issue with water backing up in the basement and Roto-Rooter made it worse by disregarding instructions to snake the line from the toilet and instead snaked it through a super small drain in the basement (after being told on the phone not to). The plumber then called, after he already started snaking from that smaller drain and said it was stuck. Well, that's why he was asked to go through the larger stack pipe in the toilet!

They made the problem worse, promised to come back the next day to attempt to remove their equipment from the line, then never followed up at all.

After calling them to schedule the already-promised attempt to remove their equipment, they refused to and instead offered to refund half the money spent. After asking the manager to instead just grab their equipment from the line (because now the problem is worse with their equipment being stuck in that pipe), he says...well we can refund all the money, but we can't get that equipment out of there without you paying $5,000.

Are you kidding me? If you were not confident in your attempts to snake the drain, don't attempt to. In fact, the instructions given were to NOT snake that drain in the basement and to snake the toilet since that is where I suspect the problem was.

It's nice that Roto-Rooter is available 24 hours per day, but I would be super careful to call them for any issues. They performed unauthorized work and are refusing to take responsibility. Definitely be super careful if having them work on your place, especially if you're not home at the time!!!

I'm sure some of their plumbers can communicate and do work that was performed...but in this instance, it was a pretty epic fail.

Called Buffalo plumber for a clogged toilet.  Receptionist very nice when I called and called me back with updates on arrival time.  Arrived at my house about an hour and half after calling.  Technician was very nice and explained possible scenarios.  First tried to snake toilet with no success.  Had to remove toilet and then used a machine to snake the line.  Did this twice, but did not find what was clogging the toilet.  Remounted toilet and seemed to be working fine even though he did not find anything.  Technician was at my house for a little over an hour.  The only thing that I was not completely satisfied with was the price $360 seems like a lot  for snaking a toilet, but otherwise pleased with the service.

We just bought a new home and figured it would be a good idea to have the sewer line cleaned out.  They were extremely flexible with their times and were able to come in the evening when we are both home from work.  The service man was very friendly and even gave us a discount from an online offer.  (I also loved that he put scrubs over his shoes when walking through our house - how nice!)
The price was decent compared to other companies.  We will be using them in the future for preventive measures.  Highly recommend them.

My 100+ year old house was vacant for at least two years before I moved in and I have had multiple problems with old clogs and cast iron pipe drains being rusted shut. I've called Roto Rooter several times and the staff at both their office and that is sent to my house has always been extremely professional, friendly and fast. They explain in detail what they are doing and once they've assessed the situation in person always ensure you understand the fees associated with certain projects BEFORE they undertake them.

They have easily been the most consistently jovial and reliable tradesmen I've dealt with over virtually any other (electricians and roofers who haven't showed up for appointments or returned phone calls, furnace maintenance persons who were on personal phone calls the whole time they were at my house, a phone company guy who asked me out on a date, or a variety of other unprofessional behavior).

Piss poor customer service!  Be warned to pay much more than quoted! The gentleman that did the repair work however was absolutely amazing and really knew what he was doing.  Clean up crew was also top notch!   No call back to follow up on concerns from the supervisor as I've requested.  A song and dance because this is an insurance claim.  I wouldn't recommend the West Seneca location to anyone!

Excellent customer service by having a person (not voice mail) answer the phone. We received phone calls updating us on time of arrival of service tech. We were extremely pleased with the work done plus how extremely conscientious (extremely neat - while performing the service and clean up after) our service tech Mike (#1761) was.  Mike is an exemplary employee and you should be proud to have him on your team. We were leery of calling this company however, extremely pleased with the service. We felt the price was a bit steep, however, we would certainly recommend your company (in fact, have already done so to coworkers). Thank you. David & Sylvia Grace

We had a problem with one of our toilets not flushing correctly. I called a couple of local businesses, but they were busy and couldn't come for a few days.  I just had surgery so was limited and needed them pretty quickly.  I called Roto-Rooter and they gave us a 2-hour window (2pm-4pm), but they called me back to say there would be a delay because the guy had a truck issue and I was waiting on someone else who was already on a call.  After a couple of calls by me to find out if they were any closer, I finally cancelled and rescheduled for the next day; a window of 8am-10am.
Next morning, promptly at 7:59am, Jason arrived and sorted out the issues in just over an hour.  For about $325 he flushed out the system from the house to the main, gave me express instructions NOT to use flushable wipes (hint:  they're not). Lesson learned.  Nice guy, great service, reasonable price and a 6-month guarantee.

On Sunday we were headed out of town and needed to leave quickly. My husband went downstairs and realized that our sewer must be backing up into the basement. We called Rotorooter and RJ was there within the hour. He was very pleasant and helpful and didn't mind when our two boys were happy to see Mario the plumber :) The price was reasonable and it was done very quickly. We were able to still get out of the house right away!!

10 stars! We called Roto-Rooter for a sewer drain clean out after a problem with another company. We have used them before and should have just called them first. Doug S #512 was wonderful. He gave us  the estimate, and took a post dated check so we didn't have to wait two days to get the work done. The drain was cleaned quickly, thoroughly, and professionally. I can't say enough good things about the service we got from this man. I will absolutely call them again and recommend them to anyone.

In a second bathroom at my house in Buffalo that I was redoing I needed the simple task of swapping out the broken tub spigot, the hot and cold knob, and the gross old pipe behind the shower replaced with copper. I figured it would be a pretty simple task & started getting quotes on it.

The first place I called quoted that it would be a few HOURS to do with an hourly labor charge. I never go for that sort of estimate - I don't want to pay more if someone is being lazy or slow intentionally. I called Roto-Rooter who I have had do some drain snaking & stuff like that done in the past by them. The guy came to do an estimate  the same day I called & gave me a quote that was $150 less than the other place and also said that it would only take around an hour - Great. The guy was knowledgeable and told me that since the setup was so old that there was only one fixture still made that I could buy without redoing a bunch of plumbing, so as soon as we tracked that down & got it they came and did the work.

Two guys came, no complaints - very professional, wore booties to not get mud on the floor (which was pretty funny because if you saw the renovation mess that is  my house a few muddy footprints would be the LEAST of my problems - but I appreciate the effort nonetheless) and got right to work. I was really happy they also installed individual shutoff valves for the shower water. Previously when any work had to be done the water had to be off to the entire house. A different plumbing company did my upstairs bathroom & I wish that they had suggested that because it's something I would have liked but oh well, now I know for the future. They were here about an hour,  cleaned up their mess, I paid, and then were on their way. The job cost exactly what the estimate said it would & the work was done great so I would definitely use Roto-Rooter again!

I had roto Roto-Rooter come over yesterday and they charged me $375 minus the $55 coupon plus tax to put a $15 part on my hot water tank. The plumber was Michael . Very nice and polite. I was price gouged. He had to go somewhere probably Lowe's and get the part. He was back about 1 hour later. I had told him that the part was only about 16 dollars after googling the night before. But I know nothing about hot water tanks or where the device was on my pressure relief valve. I explained to him what was leaking. He took it apart in 3 minutes and said it was corroded and he would have to go find one. He came back put it in and filled the tank up. Telling how much plumbing parts have gone up. I can't believe he took advantage of me. The address of roto rooter is 135 south avenue, West Seneca New York, 716 6256. I called today and someone was suppose to contact me. Roto rooter put a toilet in for me in November and did a wonderful job. So I called them back to look at my hot water tank. My total bill was $348 with tax. I would like a price concession, I would never ever recommend this company, I called twice to the complaint mgr and left a voice mail. This morning I called and left a message with Amanda. She said she gave the message to David the complaint mgr that I called. Do you think they are going to call me back? Next step will be file a complaint in West Seneca town for small claims concession

I contacted Roto-rooter to have them snake a clogged sewer line. The Technician insisted that since there was no visible outside trap it would be necessary to send a camera/ locator through the line rather than a snake. The technician then marked the exact location of the buried trap with the heal of his boot on the asphalt. The Roto-rooter technician became upset when I didn't commit to the next step a $3000.00 excavation and left without even leaving paperwork but they were sure to get my credit card information. I proceeded to excavate this exact location in the asphalt pavement myself only to find the trap was located over 10 foot away (I located the trap using a snake after not finding the trap where the technician stated it was) I wouldn't mind paying $250 for this locating/ camera service if it was as accurate as the technician stated but it wasn't even close and it resulted in needless asphalt being dug up

This was my second call to Rotor Rooter in a few months. The first time was to replace my sump pump. They were so nice on the phone, and the plumber came right away. I was so impressed with the services, I called them today when my toilet stopped working.  Its a Saturday, and I full expected to wait until Monday for service; but I was told someone would be out in 2 hours!  The plumber Gary was great, nice, helpful and efficient.  I used to use a guy who house repairs as a side job, but he was very unreliable.  It may cost more to use Roto Rooter, but it's worth it.

I booked a plumber to come out to fix our shower online 2 days ago and they showed up today. At first the plumber said it would be $720 but then suggested trying a simpler fix first. He went to the parts store came back and fixed it about an hr later. The only thing that was annoying was that they never called me to confirm they got my online request - and that I scheduled from 9-11am and they didn't called until 10:50am to say that he was on his way and then he didn't actually get here til 12:15. The service was good though once he was here. I would use them again.  -Erin Stradtman

I recently took advantage of Roto-Roooter's services for a clogged shower drain. I was able to call at 9pm and reach a person which was nice. He asked if I needed someone to come out ASAP as I can only imagine what that would have cost. Instead he offered they could be by between 10am and noon the next day.
A nice plumber named Gary showed up shortly before 10am and snaked our drain resolving the issue. The price stung a bit at roughly $270 after a $40 coupon, but his work and the results were very welcome! He mentioned several times that I had a 6 month warranty in case the issue returns which I appreciate, but hope I won't need to use!

Our plugged bathroom drain proved to be a much more difficult job then expected. The first technician attempted to plunge and then cable it out without success, unfortunately causing the very old original pipe to break, which was expected considering the age. He promptly called a second technician  (Albert W.) who luckily was nearby and came promptly. He creatively found a way to replace the entire drain pipe and reconnect without tearing open the wall. He was also able to salvage several antique wall tiles (almost 100 yrs. old) he had to remove and reinstalled them when done.

Even though the entire job was very expensive ($1200 including $315 for just the cable), and took over 5 hours, I'm very satisfied with the workmanship and professionalism of Albert and that our historic bathroom was not aesthetically compromised.

We have used Roto-Rooter a number of times in the past to great success and at reasonable cost. Although we think the cost of this particular job was very high (hence 4 stars), we will continue to use them in the future.

Town of Tonawanda

The last thing we needed was smelly water coming up from our basement, but that's what we got. I knew from last year that the line needed cleaned out from the house to street, figured it would be easier if we called root-rooter instead of hoping Home Depot had the snake to rent. I called about 330pm and was told to expect someone around 6pm. About 530pm got a call saying technician was held up and the pervious job(no big deal) and should be here about 7pm. The call/delay happened a few more times but I just needed it done that day so wasn't too stressed.  About 930pm technician showed up and was nice and professional, I showed him what the problem was and he went to work. About an hour later he was finished. I like the 6 month guarantee, hope we don't need it but it's great piece of mind.

This was the first time I used Roto-Rooter & I couldn't be happier with their service. Sewage was backing into my basement late at night & I was afraid I would have to deal with it until the morning. Feeling helpless I called Roto-Rooter, their customer service representative informed me someone would be at my home within 2 hours & they have plumbers available 24 hours a day. Scott, the service tech was at my house within an hour, he was very informative & professional. He had my home back to normal in no time and is now my personal hero!

We had a sewer pipe repaired in the front of the house.  They left with broken sewer pipe, roots sticking up and a huge mound of dirt in my lawn. Upon complaint they said it will all sink back to normal with enough water.  No effort to even out the soil or remove debris.  A complaint brought the manager here, and he said it would be fixed the next day.  A worker came and  a few tamps with a shovel was about all the effort he was going to make before I complained more.  The clean-out drain was left  sticking above ground about 12 inches high right next to my front door.

People think Roto Rooter is only for septic and sewer troubles but their plumbers are the BEST. They replaced all the corroded galvanized pipes in a 123 year old house and did a fantastic job. They also fixed some clogged gutter drains that had other companies baffled. Plus they are so nice you wish you could swap out some of your family members for them.

Called for emergency services for my finished basement flooding. Sump pump failed and water is steadily rising in the basement. I was told no emergency services for today! and they would have someone here tomorrow. Apparently, customers can only be expected to have emergencies M-F. I can't understand how she thought it was okay to let water continue to pour into a finished basement until the next day! Unbelievable that the person I spoke with didn't even take it seriously and was busy listening to football in the background. I will be sure to give a terrible recommendation regarding this company to all friends and clients in the future. I'm completely shocked right now.

So of course we had a clogged toilet on Thanksgiving morning.  Of course it's never clogged in the 2+ years we have lived here.  Of COURSE we have more than 20 people coming over today for T-Day festivities!  I plunged and plunged no no avail and then finally gave up.  I checked to see if Lowes would be open (this is 7am at this point) and of course they wouldn't be nor would I know what to buy to fix this.

On a lark, I called the local Roto-Rooter phone number and someone at the national call center actually picked up!  They took my info and said someone would be there by 9am.  I thought this was a joke.  I had no hope that anyone would show up and was just resigned to sealing off the main bathroom and praying that almost two dozen people would make do with the small half bath.

At 8:30am the doorbell rang.  It was the Roto-Rooter man!  I still thought it was a joke but he was dead serious about being a Roto-Rooter man and managed to auger our toilet and get it back to happy and flushing in no time.  He wore little plastic things on his shoes, was wicked courteous, and left absolutely no mess.  Totally saved the day this T-day and I won't hesitate to call them again.

My hot water tank was leaking all through my basement and had to secure water to the house to get it to stop.  Rotor Rooter in West Seneca was great.  They worked with my home warrenty company to provide service and arrived at my house a few hours later. They ran into some issue but stayed well past working hours to make sure I had water and everything was working properly.  I would highly recommend them to anyone who was having plumbing issues.

Overpriced. I called to have my sump pump repaired. They responded need quickly which was great. However, the guy worked for less than 20 minutes and charged my $690 for labor! That's outrageous. That's a rate of almost $2,000 per hour!!! After I argued with him, he discounted it to $600 of which $190 was supposed for the parts. That's still over $400 for labor which was 20 minutes of work. I also asked to use the $60 discount for checking in on yelp but it only gave me a $40 discount which he did apply. My total was then $560. This has not been reduced even though I think it's outrageous. Brain surgeons don't make this kind of hourly wage!!!!

Mike M. technician # 3471 is a true blessing. Within a half hour he showed up and right away told me what the flat rate was- no matter what day of the week or time. Worked well for me since it was a Saturday late afternoon. I had called 4 other companies, left messages and no return calls. And boy was he extremely thorough. He sent his snake all the way (100') to the road twice with two different cutting heads. Then up to the house. He was kind, courteous and wanted to make sure he did the best job he could. He was an answer to prayer. Thank you Roto-Rooter, and thank you Mike!

I've used this Roto Rooter twice in the past year to unclog a backed up sewer line.  The technician was friendly and arrived within the assigned window of time.  He unclogged the line, explained what he thought the problem was and fed a video camera into the sewer line to show me where the larger issue may reside with the piping of our sewer line.
I was able to use a $50 coupon that I received in the mail to offset the service cost, which definitely helped.
I would call on them again in the future if needed.

I called to have Roto Rooter come fix our sump pump, which wasn't working. Never had a problem since we bought the house, but had water in one corner of the basement, so knew something wasn't working right. They made an appointment for the following day. I had yo work, so my husband took care of letting them in. I would have liked an estimate before the work was actually done, as it cost $535.00 to replace the pump and drain the water out. I guess that's the going cost, but wouldn't know because my last house didn't need one. Hope I didn't get ripped off, as I looked online for sump pump prices and they ranged from 125$ to over $600. My price included labor. I'm happy they could come out as soon as they did though.

The technician was very professional and  6 month guarantee of work was a plus. Price was a little more than I anticipated but technician informed me of what he believed caused the initial problem.  Online schedule for North Tonawanda NY emailed me with a two hour window and then called me an hour before last hour and backed it up two more hours. Dispatch call alerting that they were on their way was at the very end of the now 4 hour window. This was a little Inconvenient!  What's the point of setting an appointment?

I needed a plumber ASAP on a Sunday since my sump pump wasn't working.  Roto-Rooter came within 2 hours of calling.  Dakota was quite professional and reassured me he could get a new one installed.  He attempted to use the one he had in the truck, which normally would have been OK, except that it was a tight fit with the back up pump in the hole. He didn't feel comfortable with the way it would work, so he removed it and left to get one that was a better fit.  He was back shortly and finished the job.  The area was left neat and the new pump has been working great.

Price was a bit steep, in my opinion, to have the main sewer line cabled from the clean out (outside-in front of my house) to the street. However, the technician was very professional and very clean and a second cabling of clogs was guaranteed within 6 months.

The clog in the main sewer line was fixed within the hour and the tech informed us of what he suspects was the cause and thought that it would clog again for sure. He seemed to think that the line was disconnected and scheduled us for a complimentary camera service to see what was actually happening.

We recently had your service here to unclog a drain. After paying $400.00 for the service we had drains that cleared for approximately one and a half days. We are back to the same problem now but Hey we had the crew here that the 'Ghost Hunters' were part of so I guess that will have to do. Right?

Clogged, bubbling toilet in Lockport, NY. I Called on a Saturday hoping for the best, Mike - Tech#3471 and RJ Tech #3354 were over within a few hours! They were knowledgeable and fixed the clog in no time. They even gave me a lesson on Septic Systems. I will definitely call again if I have issues.

Technician was quick and efficient but I was overcharged for labor. For a 30 minute or less repair to replace a wax ring and reset a toilet I was charged $305 in labor. After this service appointment I called around to other plumbing services and quickly learned that I overpaid hundreds for a non-emergency service. When I asked the technician how much the wax ring would cost he told me that he didn't know and all he knew is that the total repair would cost $350. Save your money and pick a different plumber in the Buffalo/West Seneca area.

My service call was for the installation of a new sump pump, a water-pressure backup sump pump, and a new, separate discharge pipe for the backup. Installation was done pretty quickly, and I was pleased with the clean installation. Plumber was very friendly and helpful as well.

After being quoted by a few plumbing companies, I ended up choosing Roto-Rooter because of their availability. I paid a little more than I wanted to, but with my busy work schedule, Roto-Rooter's availability suited me the best, and their quote wasn't much more than the others.

I just started doing business with Roto Rooters and it's been OK! First time the snaked the toilet for free since nothing was wrong with the drain! Next time they told me that the toilet I bought from them flushes so well and it hasn't been flushing good plus they charged me more for the toilet then what someone else told me and they left a mess! Then I found out by someone else that they didn't put it together well! I really like it that they are opened 24 hours! I would recommened them but I hope that I have better luck with them next time!!!

I was reluctant to contact a chain regarding an emergency leak in my basement, especially during a holiday weekend.  However, the Plumber (Kevin) they sent was fantastic!! Kevin arrived in less than an hour. He quickly resolved the problem, and did so with the highest level of professionalism. I also appreciated that he told me the cost of the repair upfront, which was less than I guessed it would cost for an emergency call. If I ever have a plumbing need in the future, I will absolutely call Roto-Rooter again. Thank you!

Somewhat pricey, but technician was a very pleasant fellow - efficient & knowledgeable to boot.  Spent a couple of hours cleaning both lines in a duplex  from the house to the street.   Back in business now - hope we don't have to call again anytime soon!

If you can, avoid this drive through fast food plumber. It's sad that this chain can charge ridiculous prices but give you sub par and completely idiot minions masquerading as so called professional plumbers. I needed some work done on water lines in my house for my washing machine. Guy who came out was clueless and a complete dolt. (Think about it, if a housewife knows more than a plumber who charges $150 for a hour than maybe you should not hire this company.) 1st plumber messed up the job, 2nd guy they sent out never showed up and the 3rd try a trip to Home Depot and watching YouTube videos MYSELF got the work done. Save yourself the money and try to find a local plumber and not a chain restaurant of plumbers. Your credit card will appreciate the hunt.

Oh and stupidity  sure does run rampant in this lack luster world of so called customer service. Yep, good job there Roto Rooter!!!

My problem isn't with the workers. They came did their job and did it efficiently. My issue is with the gentleman that came out and did the quote which was grossly off. If anything train your guys a little better to make their quotes. Not be off by $2000 and say it's no issue. Also was told they would be there daily to check on the levels and never came back the next day and then the next day after they show up unannounced.

The original clean up crew said a crew would come and get the trash that they left yet it sits still in my driveway and no one there can give an answer when it will be gone.

I was on vacation visiting my sister in law in West Seneca when her upstairs toilet clogged.
I turned to Yelp and contacted Roto-Rooter. The were here very quickly.
Tall young man, Dakota, introduced himself, put paper booties on over his work shoes and went upstairs.
Had the problem solved in short of.
Very polite, very professional--a true wonder these days.
Highly recommend.

It took 3 hours to get a technician out to clear the main sewer line which was backed up and flooding my basement. All of their local technicians were tied up on calls at the time. Other then that the technician was very quick with the job and was able to clear the clog with not much difficulty. Their work is guaranteed for 6 months. I would definitely call them again if I needed a plumber.

Price was 286 for to snake the drain which was a bit high but the service was great and they came on a sunday morning to do it.  I live in Buffalo NY but when you call you get a national service to connect you.  Great customer service!

Needed to have my kitchen sinks unplugged on a Sunday morning. I had been able to do it myself several times before, but this time it was not going to happen. Drain enzyme cleaners may have dislodged too much gunk. I was told the plumber would be here in an hour, and he was. Less than an hour later, my drains were unplugged. I think the cost was a little high ($263 plus tax), but I needed this done. About a month ago I had T-Mark plumbing here and they gave me a price of $190, which i thought was high, but looks reasonable in comparison. They were here to do some other work and I didn't really need the drains unplugged at that moment (and they didn't have the time)...I thought I might be able to do it myself with cleaners. He was a little messy, dragging snow right into the house and planted dirty, snowy boots right on the bathroom rug. Roto-Rooter plumbers are generally neater, and use shoe coverings in your house.

I have used Roto Rooter several times when I needed quick service (had to call them on Christmas Eve once).

On Monday, June 9, 2014 I called Roto Rooter @ 10 in the morning. They were very polite and prompt. A gentleman named Chad was here by 12:30 in the afternoon.  He cabled the line from the bubbler at curb because all our downspouts were overflowing.  He removed tree roots that were plugging back from the bubbler and got the line open. He tested it before he left to make sure all was working. He was knowledgeable and knew exactly what to do. He talked to my husband for a good 10-15 minutes on the phone explaining what he was going to do and what he would suggest we have done. Chad went even further and checked his code book and suggested we contact the Town of Amherst to have them come and check the bubbler. He honored an internet coupon for $40 off the service. We r extremely satisfied with Roto Rooter and the service that was performed. The customer service was excellent and very much appreciated. We will definitely call again if we have any problems!  Thank you!  Cynthia Carlino, 40 Brenridge Drive, East Amherst NY.

Excellent service and professionalism. Daniel was our tech and he explained the cost and options up front. We had the main line cleared since it was almost clogged and he snaked a camera down there and explained the current state of the line with video.
Costly at $281.00 with a $40 coupon but you get what you pay for. He came at 9:00pm on a saturday night and there was no extra service charge.
Would highly recommend if you want the problem fixed and done right.
