Electricity in my kitchen went out suddenly in Saturday night.  Never having a need previously for an electrician, we searched the internet for local electricians and left messages with several.  Mike Bartel responded promptly on Sunday morning.  Mike arrived on time as promised, quickly assessed the situation, and discovered the problem.  Previous work completed by a non certified electrician was corrected, which included several trips in the attic.  Upon my request, Mike also changed several  outlets to GFCI Safety outlets.  He also discovered and replaced a circuit breaker that was not working.  I now feel much safer about the electrical situation after having Mike inspect my house.   Mike was here for 2 hours .  I felt for the work he did and the effort he gave, his bill was far too conservative, so I tipped him 25%.  I like people who are responsive, arrive as promised, know their trade, and are professional.  Mike Bartel is all that and more, and will have all my future business.

Had a day and time for the install and Javier, the electrician was a no show. He called an hour after the set appointment time to reschedule I just simply said I'm going to hire another electrician.

9/15/17 Zeena, the company owner left a voicemail to apologize about the no show. She offered to make it up. Tells a lot about a company who still gives high regards to its clients. I plan to call back and reschedule when my schedule allows.

Could not be any happier with Joseph and the work he performed.
He was even better at keeping me up to date on the progress of the work since it was a rental property and I don't live in it to see the daily progress.
He sent pictures every day of his progress and probably called or texted me at least twice a day for suggestion, input or questions.
He was also very reasonably priced and had no attitud.
I would definitely do business with this company again

Was referred to Oz Electric by Fan Diego, where we bought some ceiling fans for our home. We needed one installed in our living room where it was 20 ft high so I was not gonna do that myself.

Called their secretary over the phone and she was very polite and friendly. And Richard who came for a quote and installed the fan was very friendly and courteous. Took the time to set up tarps on the floor and plastics over furniture where he was gonna work and walk; even though i doubt there was much debris from installing a ceiling fan. Plus, he even helped put back my couch in the living room and offered to move some other furniture back when he was done.

His quote came pretty close to the other electricians but glad i decided to go with them, just on customer service alone. Well worth it. I'd definitely recommend them to my family and friends. And i don't normally write a lot of reviews. Glad to give my money back to local businesses. Thanks Oz Electric.

Incredibly nice, professional, and knowledgeable. This was the first electrician we had out for some odd-ball problems and he was able to explain the issues and troubleshooting steps in a very clear way without being condescending. Made sure to listen to understand what our goals were and made sure the job went well. 100% appreciated the work and the price beat the other quotes we could find in the area. I will definitely call back when the next issue pops up around the house down the line.

I called about 12pm on 3/12/14. Was given a 1pm appt time & Bryan & another worker came at 12:50pm. Checked both bathroom plugins that had not been working for several weeks after it rained. Then checked the electrical box breakers etc. They also checked both outside outlets that were on the same breaker. They found the problem immediately & repaired it. The water from the rain had gotten into the plug outside. They replaced the plug, fixed the worn area resealed it all & everything is working great!!
They cleaned up everything & even put everything on the porch back in place as they needed to get to the stairs to get to the electrical box. Very glad I was referred by Randy. I will definitely refer this company to my friends & neighbors!

Shane Baumel is a true professional.  Very punctual - arrived at 8 am as agreed and provided advice on moving my convenience outlets because of a new patio sliding door installation.  Troubleshooted the electrical for a few minutes and guided me to the right solution.  High recommended!  
P.S. Baumel Electric is here in Long Beach where I am and will keep their business card handy for future needs.

David and his assistant, Kevin came to the house to add 240 (60 amp) wiring for our new hot tub.  They arrived on time and got the job done quickly.  Both of them were great at answering our questions and listened to our requests.  They did a neat and clean job with the wiring around the house.  Very pleased.

Great guy. Very friendly. He even came and hooked me up on his day off. Fair price and he was in and out quick. He made sure everything worked before he left and answered all questions I had. He will be my go to electrician moving forward.

Our 1950's house needed replacement outlets, flood lights, & motion sensing front door lighting.  Andrew & Damian arrived quickly and completed the jobs in a flash.  Prices were reasonable for both the labor & parts.  The crew were super friendly and professional.  Appreciate their kindness and willingness to schedule my small jobs between their busy schedule.

Found this company on next door and explained I wanted about 7 bulbs replaced. The bathrooms have these hard to replace bulbs that are very high otherwise we would do it ourselves. I explained all this in detailed texts and whoever responded assumed the electrical was bad and said it wasn't worth the hassle and suggested we perform electrical work. I advised I think he misunderstood as these homes were only 6 years old and all the LED bulbs were burning out. Thought the response was rude and presumptive. Anyone know a good handyman in south OC area?

Truly should have gone through some of these reviews. The ones that give an honest not so great experience are given pretty bluntly aggressive attacks by the owner ... which I can relate to my experience and I was simply inquiring...prices had not even been addressed yet.

@Rob .. obviously I wasn't a customer. Read the text, lol. You or whomever refused to replace 7 bulbs stating the electrical was bad. I had even explained I already replaced two but the others were too high. Who would have been satisfied at this response? Literally who? You could have just politely said you were not interested .. absolutely acceptable, but instead you were rude and presumptive.

Yelpers, please note the passive aggressiveness in business owner's response. I am stating facts and this is how he speaks to potential clients. Every review less than 4-5 stars seems to receive bullying.

That's the worst part about relocating. You have to start all over in trying to establish relationships with good companies - so hard to find. We had the best electrician and plumber back in TX.

Side note..whenever I see a lot of yelp reviews with little to no profile, friends, or other reviews you can't help but wonder if they are legit.

These are the kind of men you stay away from and do not do business with. This business is run by a father and son who are extremely rude and have no respect for your belongings. They overcharge and lie at any cost. The father Pete became extremely argumentative towards me to the point where I was about to call the cops and was scared for my life when I told them I did not want them to go through with the backyard Project I had a line for them because of their lack for respect for my plants in their overall attitudes and then the price they wanted to charge me. Please please do not make the same mistake as I did and call a company that is professional and has a big name such as Boyer, that can be trusted If something goes wrong. I have never experienced anything like this in my life.

Outstanding service today! Not only was TMS quick to respond and resolve our issue they took the time to explain our circuit structure on our new home.

If you are looking for great professional service at a fair price give them a shot!

Faraday Electric was a pleasure to work with. They responded quickly and provided expectations up front. They showed up the next day and Blaine was quick and professional. I will definitely work with them the next time we have electrical work to be done.

Needed a few minor fixes to sell my house and meet the inspector's recommendations.  Frustrated by going from number to number and only getting a voicemail, I was glad Mickey answered the phone.  He made it over to the house the same day and fixed everything for less than one other quote I had.  I would have no problem recommending him.
