Alert: deceitful billing practices! Contractor taking advantage of an emergency power outage.

After a utility pole went down on our property, we got a quote from Alfredo for temporary power/Generator hook up, which we thought was pretty high to begin with. As it turned out, he billed and got paid from our tenants directly in addition to what he charged us, which almost doubled the cost of temp. power. He later claimed the amount he quoted and charged us was only for the second day's work, not the first night, even though he texted us both before AND after working on the property on that first night, fist saying he is on his way and then again saying our tenants have temp. power and everything is good, never mentioning there was a separate charge for that first night. The next day, we were told he left his cell phone in the office, so that we could not contact him, and no one else in the office had any details about this job. We called a couple of times because we wanted a quote for the utility pole replacement (until we heard from our tenants about the separate payment).  After two days, we never received a quote for the utility pole. We had another electrician do that, who did an excellent job and for a reasonable amount.

First time customer today, and I'm so pleased. I took advantage of their call board in case they had an earlier appointment for me, and sure enough, they got me in sooner than my appointment. Kevin came by today to handle a dropped neutral connected to the garbage disposal, and two recessed lighting cans where the socket had become loose. He was fast, friendly and came in under the estimate. Being a resident of OB, I was looking for someone local, and they didn't disappoint. Definitely my first call next time I've got some electrical work to do.

My *only* complaint is that although they accept credit cards, they don't use Square or any mobile payment solution, so the tech ends up writing your credit card number on the receipt for later processing. That seems weird in 2017, and if that info gets misplaced, could be problematic - but next time I'll just have cash available.

After searching for reliable and trustworthy electricians in the San Diego Area, I came across Daniel from Faith Electric. With over 12 years of electrical experience I knew he was the one to install my recess lighting and relocate a few light switches. He was able to accommodate an early Sunday service. Daniel is an electrician I would highly recommend to anyone in the San Diego area.

I use Darrell for all my handyman repairs. He does great work and is reasonable in price. He does amazing electrical work. He is easy to work with and get a hold of him. I recommend him highly.

Ocean Electric fixed a few small issues in our property before the sale.

I called around a few places but Ocean was able to come out the same day, which was incredibly helpful as we have a busy schedule and don't have time to wait for work to be done.

Both items were fixed promptly, and the work they did was impressive. The wiring was impressive, and I certainly appreciate how quickly they were able to fix resolve issues.

Kelley did all the varied tasks we asked her to quickly, professionally, and knowledgeably without fuss or muss. When we added some unexpected tasks at the end she did them readily and well. She adds value by suggesting good solutions, can creatively improve when a task requires it, and is a pleasant person to have in your home. We will use her again.

Jay and his team rewired my house and did the electrical work for our interior remodel.  They consistently exceed expectations - he and and his team thought ahead about needs and offered great suggestions vs. just blindly following instructions.  They worked tirelessly to make sure the jobs were done on time and the work quality was excellent.  I'd highly recommend them.

Needed Recessed lighting placed in our vaulted ceilings, called for an appointment, super helpful, super friendly got an appointment for estimate with in the week. When the day came, Carlos showed up on time, covered everything with plastic, warned they may have to cut into dry wall and will patch but didn't have to make one cut! Placed 6 lights in high ceiling in 4 hours! The best decision we made, and not to mention really affordable! Will call back when more lights are needed.

Alex's crew did a great job with wiring switches and outlets to finish a couple of home projects we did that needed a qualified electrician.

Many thanks to La Costa Electric for fixing my electrical issue on the telephone.  It was a simple matter of the GFCI tripping which caused all my cable boxes, my internet and my garage doors to go out.  The gentleman on the phone suggested that I check this GFCI outlet.   He said Just press the reset button and magically all the power came back.  I am very appreciative and would highly recommend these guys.

We were having a problem with the electronic control panel on our gas oven going dark. Sheen arrived on time and efficiently troubleshot the issue. He added some pigtails and altered the existing GFI outlets so that the oven would not be affected by future problems caused by appliances plugged into those GFI outlets. He also replaced a duplex switch in our bathroom with a more modern rocker-type switch. The service call charge and labor plus parts were normal for our times. I recommend Hi Power and would use them again.

We had an appointment set up today and he never showed up. We had understood he was running behind, agreed to wait home but it's now 6:30pm and we've called a few times with no response and or communication. If unable to do a job, communication would have been greatly appreciated as we could have found someone else to come out today and not delayed even more. Also not waste the day at home and taken time off to be available for nothing. Very disappointing

This company is fantastic!! I have had multiple calls out to other electricians, but this company definitely came through.  The first time they arrived was to give me a quote, which was great because they video what you are getting done, so when the person shows up they know what they are doing.
When they came to do the work, they were prompt and informative.  Shane was great at communicating and ensuring what we wanted to have done.  He was responsive and worked hard to get the job done.  
I highly recommend this company to anyone who is looking for an electrician.

We've used Randy for many projects over the years and he has always been great to work with. I recently installed a hot tub and needed to run a new line from my electrical panel. He did an awesome job. He also came back 6 months later when a breaker failed(Manufacturer Issue, not install) and took care of it at no cost. I've referred him to friends and family and will continue to do so.
