Best Electricians in San Diego, CA

This is the 2nd time we have used Volt Electric. They did the 220 for our hot tub about a year ago. We had a wonderful experience with them at the time, life just got in the way of me leaving a review. So when we went to run our AC during one of our mini heat waves and it was not pushing out any cold air and found out it was voltage problem we contacted them again. I love that they are responsive over the phone and via text message. We had been quoted $1,600 for new wiring for the AC unit through an AC repair company, Nick's guys determined we didn't need new wiring and were able to fix the problem at a fraction of the cost! I had told them what the previous company had said and they had quoted us lower for the same work already. They could have easily said that was the problem and charged us for the initial quote price, I would never know the difference. I appreciate their honesty and work ethic. The guys who came out were extremely respectful, polite and helpful.

First off I found it was kind of difficult to find an electrician locally that would even give me a quote but I was able to get two quotes for the job. Nathan provided the better price. He was also ok with using the switch I already bought without really knowing that they usually use a interlock and sub panel. Anyway he did the whole installation and testing on a Saturday morning. Flush mount would look better but wasn't room and it's not like it's a new house. He showed he how everything works and tested it with the generator running I am so happy Don't Have worry about power outages this year I'm ready!

I've used Bill at Mister Electric for years, he is a staple of Scripps Ranch. He is a one man shop, polite and fair in his dealings. His reported closure by Yelp (december 2018) is untrue, I called him this week and he was at my house to provide quotes for some small jobs I need done.
He is busy but leave a polite, clear message on the voice mail and expect a call back about your work. Recommended.

After our usual electrician retired, we had to branch out and find someone new. Raceway will definitely be our first call from now on!

Raceway replaced our pendant light in our breakfast nook a few weeks ago. Start to finish, they were great. Easy to book. Showed up on time. Their electrician was very nice and efficient. We will definitely be using them for future projects. Highly recommend!

I don't know what happened to Mark but when I used him the first time he was pleasant, helpful and did a great job hooking up my electrical needs.  I tried him again in my new place and told him specifically what I needed.  He did not come out to do an estimate just decided on the phone what price he would charge.  When his guys came out they took longer than Mark anticipated and were late for the next job.  Mark got irate on the phone with me saying he didn't know it was going to take this long and that the guys were not going to finish nor come back.  I asked why he was mad at me, I didn't change the order or add anything more to the job.  I think he was just mad that he misquoted the job because he didn't bother to come and look at the space where I wanted the the outlets installed.  I would have paid any overage and told him so but by this time he was so frustrated that he said I'm not charging you and I'm not coming back
I think he shot himself in the foot.

Had another guy try and wire an ac outlet, HDMI and speaker wire for a home theater.  Had to have him stop after he had started.  He cut a big hole in my drywall and said the wires couldn't be fished.  Would have to open up the ceiling at each rafter to run it.
Had Joe come out.  He saved the day.  Ran the outlet, HDMI, and speaker wire.  He was able to fish all of it without cutting a piece of drywall.  He even found a recessed tv outlet box that was big enough to cover the hole the other guy had cut in my ceiling.  Had him install a hanging light and a fan/light in another room as well.  I'll be using Joe for all my electrical needs from here on out.

On time, down to earth and easy to work with. Pretty experienced too.  Kept it simple.

The first phone call started out fine.  Rick Sanada, a manager for  Direct electric company gave me a quote over the phone and scheduled my appointment.  That's when things started to go wrong. He originally set an appointment for me on Wednesday morning at 10 AM. So I cleared my schedule at work and waited for someone to show up. As you can probably guess nobody showed up and it was already 1045am.   So I decided to call Rick. He did not answer the phone so I left a message. It was about 12 o'clock and still nobody showed up.    I picked up the phone and called Rick again. This time he answered and acted so surprised that nobody has shown up yet. I told him I took the day off work and he seemed not to care just eager to reset the appointment (probably so he can get paid ).  I told him yes things happen but I should have at least been contacted if no one was going to show up or even be late.  He agreed,  then quickly went back to setting up another appointment.  Foolishly I agreed to have them come back the next day at 3 PM. So I left work early to meet them at 3 PM and as you can expect they did not show up.  So I called Rick and he did not answer the phone at 3:30. About an hour later no one has shown up or tried to contact me. I proceeded to send Rick an email letting him know how  unsatisfied I was. I still did not hear back from him. One of the installers finally called me about 430pm.  He was very rude and acted like it was my fault that he was scheduled to be in LA that morning and backed up his entire route for the day.   He rudely asked me do I still want him to come.   Foolish me again, I gave them another chance and said OK.    They arrived about 30 minutes later and were very rude and unprofessional.   Once they went up in my attic, It turns out the fan that Rick sold me over the phone would not fit.  Understandable, he was not at my house to see the conditions.   The  installers told me that they could not install anything  that day.   They gave me a quick recommendation to buy two separate fans and were ready to leave. I then asked him if he was going to clean up all the insulation he had dropped out of my attic before he left. He then asked me do you have a broom?  (He seamed to be bothered by my question)  I think this happens on every install and they should have supplied their own broom, but I let him use mine anyways.  Not a big deal I guess.   He did a half hearted clean up and left.   As you can tell I will not be doing any business with this company and don't recommend them to anybody else.  I'm glad I didn't have to pay anything up front.  I sell residential solar for a living and expect the same level of professionalism I give to my customers.

Miguel was highly recommended to us by a light store . He installed an art light in a difficult location (he bumped into a giant beam) and he also had to order a custom set of switches. Lastly, the actual light we installed was faulty and he repaired it ! He is very professional with fair prices. He is the best electrician I have ever used and will call him again. He did a beautiful job.
The only issue it scheduling so be flexible. He is worth waiting for.

Tony is very experienced electrician. He and his worker are very courteous and they used covers to cover our furniture before they were drilling holes on the attic. Tony is responsive and prompt with texting. I would recommend his service to any of our friends.

OMG!!! This company is phenomenal!  We had to update our old radiant ceiling heating system and were at the end of our budget. We had totally remodeled our home and spent enough money as it was. Then we had to deal with bypassing the old system and having electric box heaters installed into the walls in 4 rooms. Scary as they would need to cut into the walls to do this.  After 5 other bids from local Electricians that would come out and ask us electrical questions we could not answer (which honestly scared us off) or saying they could probably do the the job) we found Service Rite Electric. They came out right away, told us what needed to be done and what type of power our system could support. They had an estimate in writing to us within the hour via email and came out the next day to do the work. They were finished in 2.5 hours and not one bit of mess! The new wall heaters looked gorgeous and work perfectly and since they finished in half the time, they took off $350.00 dollars!! Yes I definitely recommend this company! Fair, fast and friendly.

Just had Lucien at our home here in LAGUNA to mount a TV and hide all the cables. He did a great job, it was fast and at a gold price.
 I called him on a Wednesday and the TV was up the next day. The final price came in a little under what he said which was great and he had a dry wall guy on the ready to fix the hole in the wall.

RK Electric was the bomb! Dave called me a couple of days after he was referred to me by my landscape contractor and showed  up on time to give me a quote. He turned what seemed to be a complicated situation of getting electrical to my new Spa and adding plugs to my backyard into a simple solution. when I came home the work was done and he called me later that night to see how I would like to pay and voila  - project completed. He was courteous and thorough...I highly recommend!
