Best Electricians in San Diego, CA

I own a small business and was referred to Volt by a friend after receiving several outrageous price quotes for installing two electrical components to hang pendant light fixtures. I was quoted a very reasonable price and was super impressed with the level of customer service from beginning to end!  They did a wonderful job and will definitely work with them in the near future!  Thank you Volt!!

Nathan was prompt, polite, and professional. Price was exactly as he said in the beginning, but also was able to change the work order if required on the fly and was upfront about the price change as well. I was weary of hiring an electrician before to add a new circuit for a gfci outlet for my car charger, but had I known Nathan was out there, I would have had this done ages ago. Would recommend and will request his services again if the need arises.

Bill is a close-by neighborhood treasure. He has been helping us for years with electrical projects inside and outdoors. Today he installed a new chandelier, for which he also had to rewire the ceiling. Bill is honest and punctual, and tends to stop by quickly to provide you with a fair quote. Whilst working in your home he is courteous and tidy, and he takes great care to protect the area he is working in. I highly recommend him to anyone, and I would trust him with my keys.

Disappointed in the customer service and pricing this company provides.  Got an estimate from the owner, Mike, for changing out outlets and light switches (from Decora to toggle and replacing some with timers and dimmers - about 60 total give or take).  Original estimate came in at $1120.  Ended up agreeing to $970 estimate based off of the expert owner's estimate of work.   After the two employees completed their work which was two guys 3 hours each or 6 work hours for both (breakdown is pricing from the company: $125 first hour, $95 for next two hours total of $315 each), so the total without tax was $630 which ends up being $340 less than $970 (agreed estimate) and $490 from the original estimate of $1120.  Mike contends that they are experts in their field, which I guess is supposed to be the reason for the overpricing.  I take issue with owner Mike's overestimate of the time it was going to take them - I am a layperson not knowing how long experts take to change out the outlets and switches which is a basic task so I of course had to go off what he said the job would take.  If the job was a complicated or involved project, I might not have an issue with what they overcharged.  The employees finished up an hour and a half early or three hours for both of them.  They probably ran off to another job and are getting double pay for the hour and a half they left me early, although I don't know if this is the case.  I addressed my concerns with Mike directly and got nowhere, no offer to split the difference to make the customer happy and to be fair, nothing other than a question from him whether their work was okay.  I did not have issue with the work, other than the clean up vacuuming needed to be better (drywall left in my carpet and on the tile floor and I had to have the guys redo work because one new switch in the closet didn't turn on the light which they did not notice) and I had to clean up black fingerprints from the light plates and outlets.  Very disappointed in the lack of customer service, especially at this time when all of us are hurting financially. Guess Raceway Electric won't be hurting with the extra $340 they got from me.  Would not recommend this company unless you like supplementing Raceway's bottom line for nothing in return.

Got me an appointment really quickly, did what they said they would, when they said they would, for the price they quoted. What else can you ask for?!

Quality of work was excellent.

We were having trouble without electricity in our house all while the crazy pandemic is going on. A friend recommended Joe B. Electric to us. He was helpful and friendly! He even came back to help us put an additional part in that we needed to order. Great service!

We've use Chris for small electrical jobs for a few years now.  He's a great electrician and just a good guy.  Recently, we had an alarming situation with sparks and burning smell from an electrical outlet and Chris came out within a couple hours and took care of it.  If he has time, he will often ask if there are any other things that he can take care of while he's here and I often have a few things that he will fix or replace.  He's very reasonable and straight-forward and patiently answers my litany of questions on how things work and how much it would cost to knock all the various projects off my wish list.

Was looking to have a few things done around the house....sent out requests and Direct Electric Co. responded. After speaking with the owner and sending him some additional photos and Information, a decent quote was given to change a junction box from a regular kitchen light to a ceiling fan box, hanging the ceiling fan, mounting two exterior lights (none previously mounted) and then changing out a chandelier (25 ft high). David arrived a few days later (adhering to Covid protocol) and accomplished all three things with ease. The exterior lights look great, he changed out the junction box to fit the ceiling fan and then hung it. Here's where things get good...he noticed the chandelier we bought was way to short, so while he was hanging the fan, my wife went to lamps plus, bought another one and then when he went to hang that one, it still was too short. He remained patient while my wife went and bought a 3 foot extension chain and then we finally reached the desired length. After everything was said and done, he then cleaned and vacuumed up the mess! Great electrician and a very nice guy! Would definitely recommend this professional company! Thank you again David!

Came on short notice, installed the two outlets I needed, had the best price by far and were incredibly professional. The work Place was cleaned up like they were never there!  They even checked to make sure the car charger fit. Highly highly recommend!

They arrived on time and fix the ceiling fan in a timely manner. The best thing about them is that they charge me way below the asking price that Platinum contractors (home warranty) tried to charge me.

I told my wife I would install our new ceiling fan in the office. I have no electrical background but figured it shouldn't be too hard. Well, I was wrong. I got in contact with Joel and explained how my life is on the line. Within an hour he was at my house installing the fan. He was very friendly and professional. Just an awesome human being. Thanks to him my wife will not be killing me today...which in a sense makes Joel a hero. Thanks for the help Joel! I recommend him and his work to anyone.

Rudy is an amazing electrician.  Bottom line - he completes the job you ask him to do excellently, and at the same time, he explains what he is doing and why he is doing it.  He even offered to help troubleshoot over the phone if needed.  If you want your job done right with a contractor who cares deeply about his work and your satisfaction - CALL RUDY'S ELECTRIC!!!

Had some quality issues after the install and some deceptiveness on change order pricing. I consider his charge order pricing to be overcharging. Very responsive to the quality issues and sent crew out as soon as possible to fix each issue, every time. Make sure each light and electrical outlet in the house is tested. I expect an electrician to do this testing but obviously it was not done and we had to find the electrical defects ourselves. Crew was very good to work with, polite and professional, and they cleaned up after themselves.

In the past,  I have not had great luck with electricians.   Recently, Jason from Service Rite came to our place and installed LED lighting under my kitchen cabinets and replaced some switches.   He installed two Panasonic Whisper fans in my bathroom with new switches.    He was professional, courteous, punctual and did a great job.   I highly recommend him and this company.

Texted this company because they had great reviews and needed work done at my place of business.  I was excited to find an electrician because I am always in need of work done either at my business or at my home.  He quoted me $400 for the work and I asked him if I purchased his Yelp Deal, $200 for $300 worth of work, that would make my total bill, $300. He replied with 1- the deal is for same day service and 2- the special doesn't apply to my project.  What?!?  I texted him a snapshot of his yelp ad which DOES NOT state any restrictions to the deal, just that it needs to be used within a year.  It's straight $300 worth of work.  

That is false advertising.   Needless to say, I went to another company with equal great reviews that was charging me $325 for the same work!!

David responded to my Yelp request within an hour, and managed to get someone out to us the first thing the very next morning for a small job (fixing a light socket).  The repair men arrived on time, were polite, worked quickly, and explained the problem and what they were doing to fix it.  I'd definitely go back to RK Electric for any future work we may have.
