I'll never call another electrician! Dalcon is one of the most professional, responsible and reliable companies I have ever worked with.

They returned my call promptly and I did have to wait a little while for an appointment but it wasn't an emergency so I didn't mind.

Chad showed up on time and couldn't have been nicer. On the day of the job, the guys showed up on time and went above and beyond to get the job done.

I lost power the next day and I was worried something went wrong so they sent someone within hours and he ensured everything was working properly (turned out to be a PGE issue nothing wrong on our end. He even solved the mystery of my freezer not working just because he was so thorough.

I can't recommend Dalcon enough. Every single person has been kind, responsive and helpful. Thank you!

Let me start by saying this company used to be my favorite before 2019. They were nice and a little more expensive than the competition, but I felt worth the extra price. Not anymore.

We will not hire them again. The last two times we've had them out to estimate jobs, the staff is nice enough, but their estimates are absolutely outrageously expensive. It's the second estimate that made me have to post this.

I needed a quote for an electric outlet for a kitchen stove hook up and Oliver with Dalcon wanted $3500 (other licensed electricians estimated this job to be $1,000-$2500 max and possibly much lower). We also needed a quote for a bathroom outlet and Oliver with Dalcon wanted $1800 (for comparison other licensed electricians have estimated this job to be $300-350).

I don't know what happened with this company. All I can think is...why? Why? Why do you think these prices are reasonable? Did you quote this to me because I'm a woman?

To top it all off, when I explained the prices were too high I then asked Oliver if these prices were firm or are they negotiable, and he said yes they are flexible. He was to email me the quote of a reduced price. I never heard back from him.

I had Juan Zapien come out and look at my electrical issue. There was no charge for initial consultation which is certainly not the norm with other electrician companies. I had one company charge over $200 for a previous initial service call that ended up costing me $500 for one outlet.

Well, for those who believe every company is just out to make $$$, Juan explained my problem and asked if I had the DIY experience to make a few wiring changes. I did explain my level of confidence and we agreed that I could do it myself or call him back and he would send in a work order.

I repaired it myself in about an hour, I work slow, and it's working fine. I can't thank this young man enough for his honesty and, as I learned in our time chatting military experiences, his service in the Marine Corp.

Dalcon is my default electric company for now on.

My husband and I had Dalcon come out to rewire our new house which also included adding smart switches, running Cat6 cable for ethernet, and installing a new doorbell. Justin and Javier were a dream team. They worked with us to make sure everything was done to code and to our specifications and they were overall such a pleasant pair to have working at the house over the course of the 2 week project. They accommodated my schedule as I work from home and we're very pleased with the work they did. We'll definitely be calling them again for any of our electrical needs.

Mike and his staff got the job done on time and on budget, hard to ask for anything more these days. However, her was also pleasant and kind to the nature of the situation and worked around some obstacles.

I've never heard of being charged to come out and do a consultation. bingo electric recommended I go to Dalcon to do a recessed light job. I called, and they said it's $89 to come out just to do the consultation. Free only if you go with them. It's part of doing business to do a consultation. How do you get a job if you don't do one?

Dalcon installed a new 240 volt, 50 amp circuit for my electric vehicle. The work included a new NEMA 14-50 outlet in my garage, new 50 A circuit breaker, and new wiring.

Of the three bids, Dalcon was the lowest by almost $1000. Low cost did not mean low quality, however. The installer did an outstanding job!

The 50 A wire is a lot thicker than one would expect. Running that thick wire through the attic and walls was not a trivial task. Yet, the installer was able to run the new wiring entirely through my house's existing space, NOT needing to break through the stucco, dry wall, add an external conduit, nor a new breaker box. Everything was done cleanly behind the walls and in the attic.

Continue on the clean theme, after the install was complete, he did an awesome job cleaning up the loose ceiling insulation both inside the house and in the garage. I was very impressed!

Be aware of the bait and switch tactics. Had an outlet go out so got quotes on Yelp for different companies troubleshoot and fix the problem. I should have known $0 to come out to look at the problem was too good to be true. I called Sarah the manager the morning of to get a better understanding of what the visit will cost. I was not given any specific quotes and just that it could be $60 to fix or tens of thousands. To my surprise, Josh showed up, looked at the outlets and told me it was going to be $450 just to do a diagnosis of the problem. And that the diagnosis could take 5 minutes or up to 4 hours and did not include the cost to fix the problem. Be wary of these guys. Go with someone else who is more upfront about either an hourly rate or a flat rate to come diagnose the problem.

Just wasted my afternoon.

Update:

Increased to 2 stars because they're right. This was only an initial experience and can't speak to the quality of their work.

However, it was a major red flag so I went with Zair Electric. They gave up front pricing and for half of what these guys charged to do a diagnostic, the circuit breaker was replaced and problem was fixed. There are good electricians out there that do not play games.

We needed our house re-wired with copper wiring. The home was built in the 70's using aluminum wiring. The previous owner hired some cut-rate contractor to install new light switches, and the way they joined the copper-wired switches with the aluminum house wiring was incorrect. It caused the the current to arc in the junction box and the circuit breaker to trip.

We called a few electrical contractors but Dalcon was the only one who came out immediately. They quickly diagnosed the problem, came up with three solutions, and even rescheduled their service men to prioritize our house.

Rafael, Jack, and Alex were punctual, professional, efficient, courteous, communicative, and clean. They always showed up when expected, and got right to work. They took their time to get the job done right, but never lingered longer than necessary. They were pleasant to be around, always available to answer questions or take a look at something. They made sure we knew which sections of the house would be without power, and for how long, and worked it so we did not lose power to our fridges. They wore masks and shoe coverings in our house and cleaned up after themselves when finished with work each day.

The only problem I had was with the sheetrock subcontractor they used to come patch the few holes they had made. That guy did a slap-dash job and left in half a day without completing it. When I called Dalcon to complain, Rafael came in and personally patched the remaining holes as well as fixed the unprofessional patch job the first guy had done. I'm not holding this against Dalcon, as Rafael said they'd never use this guy again.

I would (and have) recommended Dalcon to others, and I will use them again for future electrical work.

Second time customer. This company probably saved us from some serious electrical damage or worse once I saw the conditions of our plugs and wiring. Carlos went through and did an inspection on the dame day as the consultation. Very thorough. They spent 3 days fixing all our electrical. We had a new circuit breaker box put in, sensor lights in the garage, electric sensor installed, and all new lighting. Enrique and Jason did an excellent job and our house looks like new. These guys made this hoise safe for my kids and they treated us like family. I can't say enough about this company, but especially Carlos and his crew. We'll be coming back for anything else. They don't try to overcharge. They don't add anything you don't need to the job. That's hard to find these days.

This is a company you want to keep in your contacts list!

We recently had work in our dinning room done by Carlos from Dalcon Electric. We have attempted over 3+ years to have electricians look at the situation and no one was able to successfully diagnose the problem. Carlos was in our home 15-20 minutes and diagnosed the problem. Amazing!!! WE scheduled a date for the work to be done in less than a week and Carlos came through with flying colors!!! All of our outlets and lights now work in our dinning room!!! Dalcon and Carlos are incredibly responsive, professional, efficient and reasonable. We wold highly recommend them! Dalcon, like many others does charge a diagnostic fee. Theirs however is more reasonable than many others. Once we decided to go forward with the work the $80 diagnostic fee was waived. Very fair pricing!!

They have awesome customer service and are super accommodating. They were quick to respond and get my small job done asap with in a couple of hours. I really appreciated that they have such a fast response time, which is what you need in a pinch and don't have the time to wait a week for another appointment. However, expect to pay 3x's as much as any other electrician. $442 to go into attic and unplug an exterior camera and plug it back in. In any case, my camera is back up and running and I'm super happy about that!! Thank you!!

These are CONS!

I wanted to install flood lights in my patio. There's already a lamp and hence an electric connection. They refused to give a quote over the phone even for something this straightforward, and said the way the company works is someone will physically come out to assess and the give a quote. The FEES TO COME OUT AND ASSESS IS $89. Seriously?? does anyone get fooled by these people?

I used them again yesterday to install an electrical outlet and run some HDMI cables through the wall in back of a TV. The work was done by Angel who was on time, extremely efficient, and polite. Rafael was great! The entire experience with Dalcon was excellent from scheduling, to arriving on time & restoring electricity to the house. Rafael was able to provide a temporary fix to the problem & will be back out in a week to replace parts & make a permanent fix. He provided us with a detail of the work he would be performing and the cost of the job. Rafael provided excellent customer service - answering all of our questions related to the issue on hand and other electrical concerns. Absolutely outstanding customer service and responsiveness. Had a electrical circuit blow out at a connection point (all of which I learned later via Eric's explanations) which killed the electricity supply to our kitchen and living room. Sarah at Dalcon was able to accommodate an emergency request and get someone out to our house same day. The electrician Eric N. was extremely professional + knowledgeable and went right to work to diagnose the issue and get power back. The service was outstanding but more so than that, both Sarah and Eric seemed like great people. Price was very reasonable and a great experience all around.

I found Dalcon on Angie's list and Brandon came out and gave me a quote to hang and connect my 42x42 LED mirror. After getting 3 quotes I chose to go with Dalcon for a few reasons. 1. Brandon actually wanted to do this job 2. More than fair price 3. Very pleasant and professional and I felt safe having Brandon and Jack in my home as a single women.

Worst experience I ever had. They claim there's no charge for them to come out, but when they get there, they will charge you $479 for a consultation and diagnostic fee. It's true, you have a choice to either agree or not to their consultation fee, and in desperation, I agreed since they were already at my home at that point (but never again). That's just the first red flag. At least other companies are upfront about their charges. For example, when you call in, most companies will say it will cost you X dollars for us to come out during emergency hours or you can wait and it will cost you nothing.... Secondly, they say they will email you a full report, which they never did; instead, they sent pictures through text with no detailed report, and proceeded to quote you thousands of dollars. They quoted me a $7K-$9K range. I had multiple certified & licensed electrian come by and none of which charged a consultation fee, and it cost a fraction of what Dalcon quoted. To share how drastic of the quote difference ... the final costs with another company ended up being $850 (inclusive of rewiring) compared to what Dalcon quoted me. Whoever reads this review can decide for themselves, but I will never work with this company again. I hope others don't fall into their trap.

These folks are awesome. We called them because we wanted to update our panel, install a new dedicated circuit in our garage for shop tools and a garage door opener, add a living room light and switch, and add exterior outlets for our patio lights and pellet smoker. We made our appointment with Sara who provided first-class, responsive communication and excellent customer service. Eric came out the very next day and took pictures of the areas we wanted to improve upon and followed up later with a written estimate via email. We approved the work and had them start a few days later. Jack, Christian, and Jason completed all the work in a professional manner. These gentleman were very polite, courteous, respectful of our property, and kept us informed every step of the way. Dalcon will definitely be our go-to electricians for any electrical projects going forward.

Great isn't a high enough rating as far as I'm concerned. Hector and Carlos arrived right on time and got to work. The job involved installing a light in a first floor bathroom and it looked like it would involve cutting holes in the ceiling to thread the wires through the joists above. Hector figured out a way to use an existing vent opening so we were able to avoid having to patch and paint after the wiring was done. That not only saved a lot of hassle, it also saved us a bunch of money. And when the job was done, Hector did a great job cleaning up.

All the people at Dalcon I dealt with were efficient, professional, and courteous. They will be my go-to company for any future work and I recommend them most highly. (They also were relatively inexpensive.)

Had an electric breaker issue on a dryer circuit. Dalcon scheduled an appointment almost instantly via text, showed up on time, and resolved the issue within 20 minutes. I highly recommend Dalcon Electric. They are efficient, skilled and professional. I am a senior living alone - and was unsure of the nature of my power outage. Carlos was fast and efficient at finding and fixing my issue (a bent connector in my main panel bus). While at it, he took a thorough look at my installation and fixed any other potential anomaly, like some loose connections on a few breakers.
He is friendly, professional, and respectful of covid safety practices.
I've been a costumer for a few years, and while a bit on the pricey side, I always had a good experience with Dalcon, and they have my trust. Our GFI went out and needed to be replaced. This is the second time I have called them and they provided great service both times. They called when they were on their way over within the 2 hour window that was provided, found the problem and made the repair. They cleaned up and were genuinely nice people. Awesome customer service, I would highly recommend them.

This company has ineffective organization from top down. Starting from their crews. The first one (Rey) took the job early 2018. Only I heard was complaining about PGE and conflicting with my contractor.

Without good communication to others, my PGE application got cancelled without being informed. We lost approx. 4 months of time and needed to resubmit another application. Later on the first guy had conflict with his company and left with a mess. The 2nd guy (Chris) took over. Nothing had improved . Only he said was the mess had nothing to do with him, just got assigned to clean up his friend's mess (he could not clean up anyway).

The owner took over the project after a few complaints. We wasted another 4 months with him (from Nov-Feb). Since the underground wiring will take 6 months from PGE and house was almost done, we decided to go over head. The owner wanted to charge us $4,000 vs. no charge with our contractor. I told him my contractor could do free of charge. Since no more business in sight, to reduce his cost, he removed our temp power a week later. We were in the dark without power for construction a week.

It is unfortunate to deal with this crappy company that is full with ineffective and selfish people. Cheap /easy project may be ok, not big project like house remodeling/construction. They are not capable. By the way, the first guy charged me 95$ for just replacing one (1) CO detector while I could get a pack of 3 at Costco at $28.99. A lot of good companies out there, don' count on them.

Our landlord got in touch with Dalcon Electric and they were very timely with their responses. They came in twice, once to give an estimate and another time to install the new light fixture. They were very polite and were always on time when coming for their appointments.
They were also very patient in giving us recommendations for what type of light fixture will work best for us. We were initially using something that was very power inefficient and they suggested something that works a lot better. They also gave us one hour time slots, which meant we didn't have to wait around for too long for them to arrive.

We really appreciate their help and will highly recommend them to anyone!

I would not even give this company one star if I didn't have to. Do NOT do business with this company, if they are even in existence anymore. I made two separate appointments on their own Yelp page, was confirmed for a two hour window both times. I left work both times and was at home the entire time, both no shows, no call, no anything. I also left two phone messages asking for a callback and nothing. This behavior is very unprofessional! I called another electrician, made an appointment, they arrived at the appointed time and fixed the problem. Not that difficult.

Very disappointing since the reason we called them in the first place was a good experience the first time we used them.

I forgot to write this review sooner. I had too much load on a Circuit Breaker which it would trip. I wanted to put the microwave on a new Circuit Breaker. I contacted Dalcon and they sent a weasel technician who first started showing a booklet about his degree and how good he is. Then he started bullshitting and then recommending that the best option is to replace the electrical panel and all the Circuit Breakers for $2525.47. Surely I knew that my house is 20 years old and it does not need a new electrical panel and this crook is trying to rip me off. Later that week I called another company with good reviews. They came by and gave me an estimate of $450. Within 2 hours they got a new Circuit Breaker installed in electrical panel with new wiring to the microwave which is working perfectly for a while now.

We used Dalcon a few years ago and were super happy with the job! We had LED lights installed in the ceiling along with dimmer switches. Happy to report all are functioning just fine! We needed some followup paperwork for our HOA and dealt with Carlos Figueroa - he was very helpful and got what we needed in a very timely manner - super polite and communicated very well.

I called them as recommended from Angie's List. I asked for a estimate for a minor electric issue. I read the reviews and was hoping for the best. I was not given an estimate over the phone. If I would have gotten at least an estimate I would have told them not to bother. To my shock, the job I requested would take no more that 15 minutes, as it was to change a motion light. I was told it would cost $250! The part only cost me $20. I was then told off hand with Dalcon I could get it done for $100. I said NO THANK YOU! They might be a good company, but I would not know nor would I recommend them.

I was referred to Dalcon by a family member who only offers commercial services so I had a listing (I am a Realtor) on a home in need of some electrical panel repairs.

Called the owner and he replied promptly as did the receptionist who put me in touch with Dan (repairs). They were able to get tech to home within 24-48 hours of me calling and met tech to assess repairs.

He was prompt, helpful, educational and provided a price quote on site (in writing) and this was easy and needed.

Once repairs were approved I called to schedule the work and actually they told me it would be about 8-9 days out and I told them that the tech told me he could get the repairs done in 1-2 days from once confirmed.

They were able to switch their tech scheduled around and they fulfilled my request to complete the repairs sooner than later, as I was in a time pinch.

Dan was completely transparent, communicative, friendly and easy to work with. We have several text/phone calls and he always replied with updates as I had to report back to the home owner.

I never felt I was trying to be sold something not needed, for extra money and told the tech my needs and timing and everything happened exactly as planned and promised. These guys are legit!

In my line of work, I reply on honest, ethical vendors that can deliver what they promise with no headaches. I recommend this company.

All went well and Dan even helped assist with PG&E who needed to install a new meter so that was a bonus. Thanks Dan and Dalco.

Wow this company is amazing! We had at least five other electrical companies come out for estimates before we found Dalcon. Hiring them was a no-brainer after meeting the others. Our electricians were/are Rey I. and Rafael R. They were completely professional, knowledgeable, communicative in every way (especially texting which is so handy), clean and both adorable guys to boot.

We have 66 yr old knob-and-tube wiring in half of the house. We wanted a couple of the outlets upgraded to the latest, and we needed an outdoor flood on the front of the house replaced. They gave us two new AFCI switches on the panel, plus new junction boxes under the house for each of the rooms. The junction boxes provide a path to further upgrade the house which I don't believe the other electricians mentions). They taught us almost everything we need to know going forward to upgrade the rest of the house.

For this job, I wanted everything done to code and with permits. I provided drawings of the house and made marks where I wanted the rewired receptacles. They took care of all the permits. To my delight - they were very knowledgeable about all the current electrical codes.

The guys that do your estimate also do the work. How rare is that? With other companies a great guy comes out and does the estimate, then he sends someone else - possible very junior - to do the work. Not so with Dalcon. We got to interview and know the guys doing the actual work prior to the work day.

The tricky thing was tying off the old knob-and-tube so that the rest of it worked correctly. Also fitting the new AFCI switches in the panel box was interesting. The work I couldn't see - stapling the new romex to the underside of the house - I have a feeling it was done precisely since everything else they did was done so well.

They each drove their own truck with the company logo. They had shirts to match and wore booties everytime they came inside so they wouldn't track dirt. In doing the original estimate they used a company-wide pricing book. They take visa with no extra fee.

So they installed all the stuff we wanted, then helped us fix some minor things for no charge. I can't promise you'll get extra things for no charge from them. We are always very nice to our contractors - so I'm sure that helped. (I recommend being super nice to your workers - hey - why not?). Dalcon appears to be a largish company with at least 15 electricians. I like that so in 5 years if something breaks, they are there to fix their work. I can't wait to have them out again to upgrade the rest of our wiring. Thank you Dalcon, Rey and Rafael!

My circuit breaker kept tripping and so I called an electrician, the first company wanted almost $7,000 to change a control panel. We then contacted Dalcon electric company and they gave us a reasonable quote. They changed my whole panel in less than a day and were really professional, the guys that came out were Carlos and Raphael. They diud great. My family has power now and we even upgraded to more amps. Thank you guys so much, and i highly recommend this place to everyone, forgot to mention Carlos is coming back tomorrow to walk around and make sureaure everything is ok.

After reading a bunch of these reviews, I called Dalcon Electric to help me find my existing doorbell transformer and determine if it had the right voltage to power my new video doorbell. I was able to get an appointment for the same day, and Rey Inez came right on time. After searching a few places, he found the transformer wired into the power switch for my furnace, and it was indeed under powered. Rey took the time to show me how it was wired, and also where it stated the voltage. But he also measured the voltage at the existing doorbell just to be sure. He gave me the written price, said he needed to acquire the correct transformer and schedule a return visit to install it.

Before he left, I asked him if he could also help me locate a replacement cover for one of my undercabinet fluorescent fixtures, which I had broken. I had been searching all over both online and off and hadn't been able to find one, as the fixture was pretty old. Rey took it as a challenge and said he would see what he could find by the time he returned to install the transformer.

Today, he was back, the installation of the transformer was pretty straightforward, and the video doorbell worked right away. And he even installed a new power switch for the furnace for free. But more amazing, Rey had found the replacement cover for my undercabinet light, which turned out to be a ~$12 item on Amazon! He was able to figure out the right search terms to use to find it, while I was having no luck.

I really appreciate that Rey followed through on everything, and overall did a fantastic job. I highly recommend this company and would not hesitate to call them again.

I blew out a circuit or two on Sunday, and on Monday I called several electricians around the Palo Alto area. Only Dalcon could come that same day. They would charge a service fee, but it would be deducted from any work done.

Their electrician, Brandon, determined that an internal sub-panel needed to be replaced. He got back to me the same day with an estimate by email which he followed up with a phone call. They could come on Wed., but I could not make that, so we arranged for Thurs. morning.

Brandon was held up in traffic so the office called me to tell me he would be delayed. When he came he did a great job, clean, neat, and relatively quiet. Knowing that I would need the television while he was working, he managed to never turn off the tv's power, even though he turned off most of the rest of the house.

The wall around the panel is restored to good condition. I don't even need to get a handyman to patch and paint around where the work was done.

And the price was very reasonable! I will certainly use them again.

I hired Dalcon to do major electrical work in my garage. They installed recess lighting, dimmers, 220 outlet, gfi outlets, motion detector lights, upgrade of panel, major, major work. Yes, they ran into some trouble and they were very upfront about the cost and the options. They gave me 1,2,3 options and were thorough in their explanations. The work was done neatly, efficiently, and thoroughly.

Billy was the epitome of old school customer service. He is personable, hard-working, and truly cares about his trade. I referred to him as high maintenance because he wanted the screws on the face plates to all be pointing straight up and down. He looks like a member of ZZ Top, but don't let that scare you, he is the type of person and worker you wish everyone was coming to your house. I couldn't be happier with the service and the completed work. Highly recommend.

What a great experience! Chris and Josh have been rewiring our home from aluminum to copper. We had lost power to parts of our home. They discovered that there had been a small fire in our furnace and replaced the outlet so it allows higher voltage and is up to standard. I had a hard electrical problem with getting my dishwasher installed. The old one was hard wired in a shoddy manner by the previous owner and Lowes would refuse to install the new dishwasher until the electrical work was fixed up. I had called other electricians for estimates and they would either flake on me or tell me they don't want to do the job, but Dalcon came to my rescue! Omar (from Dalcon) had to rework it so that it satisfies the spacing requirements and brings it up to code. He did this with excellence and high quality customer service.

The service I got from Dalcon Electric was prompt & very professional. Though I got a call from them on the morning of my scheduled appointment saying that won't be able to make it due to some fire emergency, their team member Carlos still made it to inspect my place on the same day evening. They had provided me with other electician's numbers in the morning to help, which i feel is a very courteous thing to do!
Carlos was very knowledgeable, humble & efficient in his work. Giving me an estimate of how much it would cost, he explained very well what had gone wrong. Dalcon Electric did an awesome job for us today. We have had a loose socket under the sink that has been troubling us for a few months now. Had a couple of fly by night electricians tell me it was a problem with the house wiring.
Dalcon electric on the other hand had Carlos Figueroa who did an amazing job. He was super professional and was quickly able to identify the problem.
His estimate of time and the cost was accurate and reasonable. Best of all he helped explain the issue and walked me through the fix - which was actually quite simple - changing the socket.
Would definitely use Dalcon the next time I need something fixed ... and will ask for Carlos. The electrician makes all the difference and he was *awesome*!!!

Very expensive! I called because an outlet in my bathroom was not working and the fluorescent lights in the kitchen were out.Trouble shooting cost 179 Dollars, they found out a GFCI was broken, then replacement was another159 Dollars (GFCI part on Amazon 20 Dollars). LED replacement for the flourescents was another 470 Dollars (LED cost at Home Depot 40 Dollars). The lunch break took this guy longer than the actual work. Don't call these guys, save money and take your business somewhere else.

After having my contractor bring in an electrician that didn't know what he was doing I called Dalcon.
Ray was very understanding of my situation and came in and fixed the mess that we had in a very timely matter. He was very professional and did what he said he was going to do. My contractor in the end failed to want to finish our project and walk through the house with the inspector to finish our remodel. Excellent, professional, friendly service at a fair price. I needed to replace a couple of switches and have a fixture looked at. I know of Dalcon Electric through another electrician who I normally use, but is out of the area and wasn't available for a couple of weeks, and I have new tenants moving in before then so I contacted Dalcon. I spoke with Sarah who was very nice and she scheduled me within a couple days with a 2-hour window arrival time. On the day of the visit I received a call 30 minutes prior to the technician's arrival, which allowed me to finish up an errand and meet the technician at my home. Rey Inez was the technician. Rey did an outstanding job. From the nice clean uniform, to wearing protective booties in my home, to explaining options and pricing prior to starting the work, Rey did it all with a smile and no
pressure. He clearly loves his job. He completed the work and cleaned up the work areas once he finished. He asked me if there was anything else he could help with and I jokingly told him I had a window blind to hang but was having some trouble. No, he didn't hang the blind, but he went out of his way and took 5 minutes to explain (found out he has construction/window/door experience) I need a special type of screw and then went to his truck and brought back the screw to show me what it looks like! I was so impressed with Dalcon Electric and specifically Julian. He gave us a reasonable bid on our backyard electrical work that was comparable to others we received. The work included a new electrical panel, running wires under the house and to all areas of our outdoor kitchen, all wiring for new lighting and fan installation as well as outlets. His bid was timely and very thorough with lots of suggestions and options on how to deal with wiring, lighting, etc. When they came out to do the work there were always 3 electricians who got the work completed on time exactly as we wanted.

I cannot recommend them highly enough and was so impressed with their work, communication, ability to stay on time and on budget all with a very professional attitude. We will definitely be calling them next time we need more electrical work.

I've had nothing but positive experiences with Dalcon Electric. Their technicians are courteous, skilled & knowledgeable. The first time Chris & Josh came out, we discussed replacing my fluorescent kitchen lights & installing new under-cabinet lighting. Chris understood immediately what I was looking for and explained my options in terms I could understand. When they came out to complete the job, I found them to be courteous, respectful, professional, & efficient. Much care went into ensuring the floors were covered & all my things were moved out of the way to ensure they were not damaged. In addition to being completely satisfied with the work they did, the job was completed faster than I expected & everything left in immaculate condition afterward. I later scheduled Chris & Josh to come back & replace my bathroom fans. Again, the work was completed skillfully & professionally. I can't say enough how much I appreciated all their help!

I rarely write reviews but feel compelled to share the great experience we had with Carlos and Dalcon. He called about 10-15 minutes before coming for our initial discussion, before providing the estimate, and on each of the days before he and his crew arrived. He and his team wore booties over their shoes while in the house, protected our furniture with plastic, kept us informed, stayed late until everything was perfect, and cleaned everything up each day. We cannot say enough about every aspect of the workmanship and Carlos' overall professionalism. Kudos on a job well done!

We recently had our entire house rewired and updated (from knob and tube)! Carlos and his team were thoughtful and conscientious. They got all permits and inspections to make sure the work was up to code. They also took time to review what steps were being taken each day, provide options and advice, and always cleaned up after the day's work, which was really appreciated, given that we have little kids and we were living in the home as the work was being completed. Found and booked Dalcon through Yelp, and couldn't be happier. I'm usually willing to try my own repairs around the house, but was a bit more cautious with a problem that would potentially involve rewiring and a high temperature fixture. I hired Dalcon to do a range of projects at our house ranging from trivial (replace an outside flood fixture) to major (replace the electric panel). David Lee was very detailed in his estimate, and provided recommendations for the projects we were considering. Dalcon was a bit higher than the other bids I received, but they were willing to match the other bids.

David and his team started the work within two weeks of accepting their bid, and completed it faster than they promised. They showed up when they said they would be here, did good quality work (everything worked the first time), and cleaned up after themselves. Very professional, courteous, and trustworthy. Called for service on Saturday January 16th. The first available opening was Thursday January 21st from 8 am to 9 am. The electrician called at 8:10 am and advised us that he will be at our house at 8:30 am. At 8:50 am I've decided to give a call the company to ask whereabouts of the electrician. Shortly after that the electrician called us back. We asked where he was since 25 minutes have passed from his initial estimated arrival time. We wanted to know because my husband had to leave for already delayed work schedule and his time is running out. We wanted to know exactly where he was. The electrician refuse to give us his current status and vaguely told us that he is in Santa Clara but nothing more. At this point, no more promise about his estimated arrival time by the electrician. My husband waited for another 20 minutes till his absolute last minute to spare for the appointment. The electrician fail show up after all.

This is totally inexcusable service delivery. We gave more trust to this company than others companies out there because of Verified Home Services directory from TrustDale.com that we receive in the mail yearly.

If they cannot deliver as simple as appointment time, I am not sure what else they could do right. Lack of caring from both the company and the electrician are totally mind boggling. No apologies about their fail to show up and inconveniencing other people's busy schedule.

Keeping promise would be fundamental to any agreement. I am really disappointed about Santa Clara County San Jose & Surrounding Areas of Verified Home Services (TM) directory and perhaps the directory should reconsider recommending Dalcon Electric to others.

Even though the company do not deserve any star(s) at all, without it I could not post my review.

I approached Dalcon for a bid to correct aluminum wiring. Jason connected me with David. David sent an email with a long list of questions. I responded but heard no response. I sent follow up emails but no response. Why would they ask for so much info and then not respond. If they are too busy or not interested they should have professionalism to respond versus just not responding after I sent them the information they were asking for. A huge waste of time and an indicator of customer service and attention to detail.

Trying to keep this short and to the point, Dalcon Electric is the most unreliable and non-communicating company that I have run into thus far.
After a day of trying to reach someone at this company, I made an appointment for their home entertainment electrician to come in five days to conceal an electrical cord. The guy failed to show (0800).

As a result, I called the company starting at 0830, no answer or answering machine. At 0845 or so, I received a return call (based on caller ID) advising me the electrician had called at sometime stating he wouldn't be in.

Because Sarah's phone had died, she wasn't sure she had received this information. In spite of this, Sarah proceeded to reschedule the service the same day (with another electrician) and gave me two times; noon and 2PM to choose from. I choose noon to alleviate any more of my time being wasted. At 1207 I received a call from Sarah. She advised me, in a like manner, the electrician would not be available to make the service call.

For these reasons, I will do my darnedest to share the experience I've had with Dalcon Electric. If I could give this company a negative rating, I certainly would. :(

I used Dalcon Electric for my LCD install on the wall. They also ran dedicated power lines to my Audio & Video. The work was superb and they were very accommodating and flexible.

They are very hard to get a hold off. They do not return calls or emails. But once you get a hold of them, the work is superb. They are also not cheap but they do superb work.

After many months of painful, PAINFUL handymen, contractors and helpers, I have found THE electrician.

Let me just say it now, BRENT ROCKS.

This is his third visit to see me and my 30 year old, horribly wired home. He is punctual, courteous, INSANELY competent, friendly, CLEAN, and he cares about his work, and about our comfort.

We had Brent come to address constant breaking of circuits due to bad wiring...microwaves connected to light switches, multiple GFCIs on same circuit, among other things.

Years ago, I brought in another company whose first reaction was to add circuits and create new stuff without bothering to really assess my situation.

Brent did this..without being asked.

When I had emergencies, and by emergencies, I mean I couldn't work on my PC, Brent's office immediately called him to come out, and he was prepared to work whatever hours were necessary to address my pain.

I am not a big YELPer...but let me tell you - people like Brent, and companies like Dalcon make me feel like I would be doing other consumers a disservice by NOT sharing my experiences with them.

Use these guys. I am not easily impressed, and in fact, Im rather difficult. And these guys (especially BRENT) are the only ones I will use - as long as they will tolerate me :)

I found these guys through handyman.com (a referral service) and was impressed that they contacted me by phone the very next day. I worked with John Adams, who is a licensed electrician, and he was honest, kind, and very professional.

We had hired another all around handyman who completely goofed up installing/fixing the ceiling fans in our home and I paid a high price (time and money) for not hiring a professional up front. Very professional, technician Brain Borello came by very much on time, nice attitude and patient, gave a quote on spot and explain in great details, presents the great credibility of this company.

I had a problem resetting my GFCI and called Dalcon. The guy showed up and checked the outlet and the breaker. I had the GFCI properly connected and the green light to indicate the connection is right but, some other wiring issue. He changed the wiring to switch line and load in the GFCI and tried to reset the breaker and naturally the breaker tripped with a bang. He concluded that my service panel is bad and it needs to be replaced and quoted $3,680. I wanted to get a second opinion and called another electrical company rated highly in Yelp with rave reviews! He has found no issues with my service panel and just rewired to put a regular outlet as it is not required to have a GFCI if the outlet is above 12 inches from the floor, mine is about 4 feet high from the ground. After rewiring and putting regular outlet, I am back in business and costed me minimum. Bottom line, the technician from Dalcon either didn't know what he was doing or deliberately tried to rip me off, unbelievable! I would not recommend this company at all. Besides, Angies list is big scam! Don't fall for Angie's list! Because these guys have to pay to be rated by Angie's list, they try to cut corners to make money elsewhere and you are the victim!!

William was ready to start early, but he called first to make sure it was convenient. He was pleasant, helpful, intelligent and diligent. He did a great job and the cost was very reasonable. I would be happy to recommend him to anyone in need of an electrician.

Dalcon Electric came out to my house and replaced some wiring in a wall and installed the new smoke detectors in my house. They were very professional and knowledgeable. They also checked all of my outlets to make sure everything was safe. I will recommend them to my friends.

We were experiencing intermittent issues with our electrical system in our home and called Dalcon Electric to investigate. My experience started with a call to Sarah who answered by asking What she could do to make me smile. She was quick to get Brant out to my home to evaluate the problems we were having.

We found that there were several issues causing arcing within our main circuit board panel. Brant immediately located a new replacement panel and quickly replaced it for us. We have not had another issue with tripping circuits, brown outs or any of the other issues we were having. He was also great at working with the MV Building department to make sure that the work was given a clean bill of health by the department inspector. This was a very painless and positive experience. I have since had Dalcon and Brandt do other electrical wiring work for us including the replacement of a master intercom system in our home. I would highly recommend them for any electrical work you need done.

I just bought a house a little over a month ago. The guy I bought it from did a lot of work himself and didn't do it right. There is aluminum wiring throughout the house. The washer and dryer go in the bathroom. Well, the wiring had gone bad a stopped working. We had an estimate from someone else saying they would re-wire the bathroom for the dryer. They would put in new copper wiring. They wanted $800!! I didn't have that kind of money so I went on Yelp and shopped around like I always do and I found Dalcon Electric. Called them up and John Adams came out the same day. He quoted us $250! He was hired. He came out the next day and had the job done in 1 hour! Fast service and at affordable price!

I called Dave from Dalcon Electric about the issue in my kitchen. He figured out that it was simple to fix, and walked me through the solution on the phone. I was amazed by his honesty! Highly recommended.

John (owner? of Dalcon) upgraded my 49 year-old property by adding GFCI switches, new lights, proper grounding, new panel box, etc. He responded to an emergency call on weekend. His team showed up on-time, finished on-time, even pitched in to fix my emergency (I had to pay overtime, but it was fair.) I had called several electricians before I selected Dalcon: one never showed up, one said he was too busy to do the work (this was back in May '07), and another one gave me a quote nearly double of Dalcon's quote. That's my experience...

Dalcon did recessed lighting in our house. Their bid was well written, detailed, and they seem to be knowledgeable in what they do. They arrived on time, tried their best to clean up after work. Everything was god except the Sheetrock patchwork. They do charge you extra for this!They DID NOT KNOW how to do it. My house was covered with a bomb of dust with excess sanding and still the patch is visible on my ceiling. I believe they are good electricians. However, Sheetrock patch should be left for guys who do that on a daily basis.

Extremely professional company. The technician John Adams who fixed our electrical problems was great.... he was punctual, extremely courteous, flexible with my schedule and left my place spotless after he finished. I highly recommend him and would definitely use this company again. The only reason I have not given Dalcon 5 stars is because they were a little pricey however you do get what you pay for. After hiring an electrician who was much cheaper but who left us with a potential accident waiting to happen I would opt to pay the higher price and know that my family were safe.
