Emanuel came by our house immediately after I first called and installed a new Nest thermostat, wiring it to our furnace via the attic. He and Jesus were professional, pleasant and trustworthy. They took the extra time needed to make sure things were working as expected. He managed to fit our work into his busy schedule, which helped us enormously and got our furnace working properly.

They came by a week later to install new light fixtues in our garage. I'm confident that Emanuel will be able to help us with any future electrical needs that we might even have. I'd highly recommend ECP Electric!

Emanuel did a very professional and clean job of replacing our old main electric panel with a solar-ready, new one. He communicated well (mostly thru text messaging) and followed through on all necessary permits with the City and PG&E  (no small task!).  He is proud of the work that he does and it shows in the quality. I'll certainly use him again for any other electrical upgrades or modifications we need in our home.

Emanuel and his team came over to install an EV charger in our garage.  He was on time, informative, and paid very close attention to detail to make sure the plug was fastened security, in a properly sized enclosure, level, and used a more robust breaker in the panel, and even fixed some of the poor work done by the previous electrician for free.  They cleaned up after themselves and and even allowed my to watch and helped explain what they were doing.  I will definitely reach out again if I have any further electrical needs.

So here's what I have to say--A MIRACLE HAS OCCURRED in Santa Clara County.  

My elderly mother needed some straightforward electrical work done at her home in Saratoga.  My dad was a nuclear engineer who took care of everything and since he died, we've been on the hunt for vendors (painters, plumbers, electricians) who can be her go-to resources.  We called 5 electricians to do the work (extra outlet, cell phone booster, swap trim kits) and either they never returned calls or had a waitlist of over 2 months and that was just to estimate work.

Enter Emanuel.  Found him on Yelp, texted him and guess what?  He was out the NEXT DAY and got the jobs DONE.  He and Pablo were kind, did a full recon of the house (built in the 1930's), brought their own vacuum, and deserve 10 stars.

I was in  the middle of a small project rewiring a dimmer switch in a 4 gang box and had mis-wired the switch and fried it when I turned on the breaker. Because of the number of wires in the 4 gang box, I was stumped as to how to fix this situation; I  decided to call an electrician. It being Saturday afternoon, I knew it would be expensive to get an electrician out to correct my mistake. I called Emanuel Perakis but unfortunately he said he had been out all day on jobs and was done for the day.

Here is the amazing part and why I gave Emanuel 5 stars here! Emanuel took the time on the phone to figure out the wiring and walked me through how to correct the issue! He could have easily just said he couldn't help without scheduling a call! A quick trip to Home Depot to buy a new dimmer and I wired in the new switch per Emanuel's instructions and we are back in business! Thank you to Emanuel

Emanuel came over went into a detailed idea of what he was going to do and how he was going to do it for an electrical panel upgrade. Checked out panel etc with covid safe protocols. Said he would get me out a detailed quote with price, March 1st or 2nd. They would get me a quote in the next few days, no quote or response. Then April 2nd he texted me again saying sorry he was busy and he would write me a quote this weekend and then no email quote or follow up as of April 20th.  Seemed like a good guy who knew was he was talking about just didn't want the business I guess.

Emanuel (ECP Electric) is friendly, polite, responsive, and transparent with regard to the cost. He is the owner but he is hands-on along with his professional workers. The project: They brought the ground wire to the outlets for the whole house using the crawl space and the attic during two cold/rainy days. I am really happy with the result and I will go back to him for my next project.

I got a hold of Emanuel through a handyman who was doing some other work in my house. Emanuel was very prompt and made sure to get the situation prior to starting the work and even making suggestions on options. He fixed some mistakes on some of the previous work that was done, correcting some potentially hazardous situations. He takes the time to do the job right and also took the time to explain some of the work he did. While doing his latest job, he identified another upgrade that helped tremendously. I would recommend Emanuel's work to all my friends and family.

We're not ones to write many Yelp reviews, but we felt the need in this case. Emanuel not only did a wonderful job installing new recessed lighting and switches (without damaging our old lathe and plaster), but he also walked us through issues we were having with the city, PG&E, and work done by a past electrician.  He was patient, responsive, and did excellent work. Emanuel was always on-time and communicated very well throughout the entire process. We can't recommend him enough!

I had a serious problem with an old breaker panel that was causing regular unexplained electric problems. A highly qualified licensed electrician explained the solution clearly and provided a very reasonable estimate. He replaced the entire panel, all of the breakers (a number of which were in danger of causing a fire by not operating as necessary), showed me all of the replaced and damaged parts, cleaned up all of the messy wiring, installed new LED lighting in our garage, and left only after cleaning all of the mess beyond my expectations. I highly recommend this outstanding professional for even your most complex problems and/or new installations.

I contacted Emanuel to install a generator inlet for my house so I could have whole house power in case of an outage. I purchased the generator and the manual transfer switch for my panel and Emanuel came, installed an appropriate inlet and connected everything to the panel appropriately. It took about 2h all in all (there was stuff that needed to be moved in the panel) and the end result was very clean and well done; he even relabeled the panel as needed. Price was not cheap but fair (at least I thought) and was on par with his estimate.

We were extremely pleased with our experience with ECP Electric. Emanuel went above and beyond to help us with our situation. Our project involved converting the two pronged outlets in our house to three pronged ones. He was prompt, providing fast response whenever we had inquiries, was punctual, and completed the work on schedule with a high level of quality.

Emanuel and his crew were extremely prompt and professional.  They completed all the work efficiently and they even did some extra work that I added at the last minute.  They were all super friendly and trustworthy and the prices were reasonable and exactly as quoted.  I highly recommend this company.

We had an issue with the GFI outlet in the bathroom and called to see if they could check it out.  He answered the phone right away.  He gave me some guidance on how to fix it and offered to walk me thru it or come out the next day.  I followed his advice and was able to fix the new GFI myself.  Super helpful and high integrity!

Emmanuel did a great job installing our new upgraded circuit breaker. He was always on time and I enjoyed speaking with him while we waited for PG&E to finalize the connection. It was more like a friend was working for us rather than just a service. He also took the time to address other concerns without adding to the budget.

Finding a reliable electrician is hard.  Finding one that stands up for his work and ensures satisfaction is even more difficult. Emanuel is someone who makes sure he gets things right and gets you pointed in the right direction.  If you want someone who really cares about his profession and about making things right for his clients, I would highly recommend him.

We needed our main panel to be replaced as it was old & burned out. I contact Emanuel and he was very professional and prompt in his response & patiently answered all my questions and concerns. He gave me a quote, came by to review the panel and the work that needs to be done. He also issued a permit with San Jose city and on the schedule day by PG&E he & his crew were 15 min early and got just right to it. They did a professional job and inspection by the city went flawlessly!
I must note that I contacted Emanuel a year back when I had a power outage along other electricians I contacted. I could not get anyone to come and Emanuel did above and beyond to find me someone to help as he did not have time.

I called Emanuel and explained what I wanted done (4 plug grounds added, two new circuit breakers and wiring to new sockets, move 220VAC plug, clean up some panel wiring, etc.).  He came out the next day, surveyed the situation, sent me a quote that night, that I accepted the next day.  We set a date about a week away, said he would be there at 8am.  He was there on the dot with his assistant Nick, got everything done by 2:30pm.  They cleaned up very nicely, including filing in the small guide holes they drilled in the hardwood floors (to ground the plugs).  You couldn't even see them. They put a large drop cloth around the crawl space to avoid tracking dirt into the house.  Very professional.   All in all, great work done.  I am going to have Emanuel come back to upgrade my old, rusted out 100amp panel to a 200amp in the near future.

I called Emanuel for an estimate on a short-notice job. He took the time to understand my requirements over the phone, let me know about what code does/doesn't require, etc. I unfortunately forgot to mention up front that I needed the work done two days hence, which I should have said first. He wasn't available in that timeframe, but he went ahead and gave me an estimate on what the work should cost to keep me from getting gouged by someone else. Emanuel is a straight shooter, completely transparent, and the kind of professional I like to work with. He didn't happen to be available in my very-short-notice timeframe, but I hope to use him in the future!

I used Emanuel's service to install couple of receptacles in the attic, and to get Nest Hello installed. I did not have any existing doorbell, so the job involved installing the transformer, the chime, Nest Hello; and connect all of them together.

Emanuel did an amazing job. He is a very friendly guy; and he strives to find the best solution. While running the transformer wiring for Nest Hello, he hit the concrete foundation that prevented him from taking the transformer power to Nest Hello. He explained the problem to me. He spent time thinking about various possible solutions, and finally came up with the least intrusive solution. It was amazing to see how he applied his mind to solve the problem.

I would highly recommend Emanuel for any household electrical project. He says, everything is possible! I love his positive attitude, and his passion towards the job that he does. Now I am his lifelong customer!

Wanted to give a shout out to Emanuel.  I called late on a Sunday night with an electrical panel issue.  On the message he said he excepted text messages so I replied with issue and within a few minutes he replied asking for pictures of panel and his availability for the next day.  Emanuel was prompt, polite and fixed not only the current issue with our panel but went above and beyond by checking and replaced one of the old plugs.  I will use him again on any future projects.  Thanks again Emanuel!

Emanuel did an excellent job for us.  He went above and beyond, thinking ahead to make it easier if we needed to change or add in the future.  He came quickly when we asked for the quote, was on time, willing to work with us to give us just what we needed and some, and communicated great.  It was also so nice to see the team work working so well together.  Will definitely call him again if we ever have the need.

We worked with Emanuel to update our old 40A(!) service panel to a new 200A panel, to replace all the old knob and tube wiring in the house, and to fix some amateurish sub-panel work performed by previous owners.

Of all the electricians I contacted for this job, he's the only one who actually seemed interested in doing this job. His price seemed reasonable, and he was always straightforward and informative about the work he would need to do.

The entire process took over a month because we needed to get permits and to coordinate with PG&E to run new 220V overhead service wires to the house, but throughout Emanuel was always easy to reach and quick to respond to texts and voicemails, even when he was busy with other projects.

He and his assistant finished the interior work quickly and with a minimum amount of mess. He even installed extra GFCI breakers for when we update our kitchen in the future. Overall, a very good experience.

Emanuel is the best by far!

I say this through experience because I actually called and hired two other electricians for some work (and got estimates from several other electricians) for install of a new 200 amp service panel etc. But ECP Electric (Emanuel Perakis) was the best by far across the board for both price and more importantly, quality of work. Oh I wish I had worked with Emanuel from the beginning for the initial service panel install. Emanuel will always be the electrician I call in the future and recommend to friends. Because Emanuel runs a small operation, you'll always get Emanuel and his co-worker Pablo to do your electrical job in person (and not some random crew you didn't get to meet or chat with during an estimate visit - if you have had any kind of service work done on your home, you know how much this can actually matter)

Emanuel and Pablo did a bunch of things over the course of a few separate visits:
1) they installed new branch circuit to garage, installed and wired 4 new garage grounded outlets along the walls, installed new washer/dryer outlets and cleaned up existing washer/dryer wiring, removed all the old not-to-code 1960s DIY electrical wires, lighting and conduits throughout the garage, installed a new interior garage light
2) installed exterior lights (exterior garage carriage lights with a digital timer switch, exterior Ring motion detecting security light, and exterior lights for the backyard of the home)
3) were willing to and did a great job cleaning up poor and sloppy service panel wiring by a previous company - basically they redid most of the wiring per my request
4) installed new recessed LED lights throughout the home (in process they found and fixed poor, fire hazard electrical work in attic by the previous home owner's handyman)
5) inspected electrical wiring in crawl space underneath home to sanity check for any issues, fixed an awkwardly installed outlet by a previous electrician in a kitchen cabinet, added a quad outlet underneath kitchen sink to better accommodate RO filter/dish washer/garbage disposal plugs

These guys came out here and did an excellent job on a very complex project. They were very professional, followed my directions on how I wanted the wiring done and I very highly recommend them.

Needed a very old original 220 three prong dryer plug replaced. ECP was easy to get a hold of and schedule the appointment. Came when they said they would and did the job that was discussed at the price that was quoted. Will use in the future.

We had them instal a 240v plug for our Tesla model y. They did quality work for a reasonable price. Thanks guys!

Too good to be true?  NOPE!  In a world full of contractors who don't respond, don't show up and don't seem to care... who's a homeowner to trust/hire??  

ECP Electric is simply the best!  More than knowledgeable, capable and all while offering competitive pricing, this is the kind of company I had almost given up on finding - one with integrity!  

Emanuel is very responsive, respectful, a consummate professional really.  Both he and Pablo are easy to have at your home and we, like others, are just thrilled with the work that has been completed.

I have used Emanuel twice to trouble shoot electrical problems for me.  He is quick to respond, prompt and professional.  The first time he and Pablo replaced a burnt out fuse and rewired to accommodate the additional amps my new dryer required.  

On the second visit I asked him to diagnose why my fridge stopped working and my circuit breaker tripped all around the same time.  It turned out these were unrelated but he tested everything and explained it all to me.  

I feel lucky to have found someone I can trust to do good work and would highly recommend him.

Emanuel is the BEST!
He and Pablo came to our house as scheduled, were extremely polite, and got started right away.They did several jobs while here, one of which included their having to get on the roof to install a cell booster. They cleaned up the worksites perfectly and we could not be happier with their work.

Unbelievably prompt and excellent service. My home's mysterious wiring problem was successfully diagnosed and repaired **within 1.5 hrs of dialing Enrique's number**. And this was not a trivial problem to solve.

If you live in the bay area and have an electrical emergency and you try calling any of the 5-star rated placed on yelp ... you'll get a mix of the following experience:
1. go to voicemail, 50% wont call back
2. goes to receptionist/salesperson and not the electrician who can understand the problem
3. an appointment 5 weeks out if you're lucky.
4. some places will give you the option to get to front of the line for a $150 emergency service fee.

I called Enrique and he picked the phone himself personally. To me that's the first sign of a good small business. I told him I had an electrical wiring problem and needed an appointment. I described the problem to him over the phone, he didn't rush and patiently discussed the problem and asked a bunch of questions to understand the situation. He then described what he thought the problem might be and gave me a quote on the spot. He asked me to text him my address.

15 minutes later I had a text reply back with an ETA of an electrician's arrival IN THE NEXT 30 MINUTES!

He arrived and was able to diagnose the problem in about 20 minutes and fixed it in another 20-30 minutes.

Description of work:
We had our fridge circuit go out the previous night and had to pull it out and plug it elsewhere. Upon closer inspection I found that the circuit wasn't out, rather the voltage on the two outlets was very odd, one outlet was 110v and the other 140v. And when those same outlets, one would drop to 80v and the other would jump to 190v. He spent some time diagnosing the panel and discovered arcing, a few loose connections, and a burnt+disconnected ground on the fridge circuit. He promptly fixed all of it, and explained every step as I was watching, and got everything back in working order.

I needed a ceiling fan installed at first floor of my house (no attic space). My biggest issue was how to fish for the wires within drywall or would it be by exterior wire molding (unsightly).

June 26, 2018; Emanuel and Pablo (assistant) came. Luckily, they found a route that kept the wires within drywall & ceiling. No sheet rock was cut. By the way, the pre-existing 1-gang switch on wall has 2 hot wires only (they found). Emanuel installed a ground & neutral too, which ran towards panel box. End result: flushed type ceiling fan works great! Optionally, I did not have the lights that came with fan.

I liked that they brought drop cloths for dust... Big plus! They vacuumed area afterwards.

Emanuel is my GO-TO electrician from now on.
He was responsive in setting up the appointment; on time and professional.  Pricing is competitive but not cheap.  You get what you pay for because his work is outstanding.  Work performed:
1.  Installed Ring Floodlight outside the garage
2.  Ground several outlets
3.  Added 1 outlet
4.  Installed 7 recessed lightings
5.  Installed light for side of the house.
Emanuel communicates perfectly as he provides suggestions/options so that you can decide which way to go depending on your taste.  They also did a great job of cleaning up after their work.

Professional & knowledgeable. Top notch customer service from quote to finish.  Have our level 2 EVcharger installed and replaced old outlets.  Emanuel came in for a quick estimate and pointed us where to purchase a reliable charger.  His work was done perfectly and we would certainly keep him on our go-to list and recommend him to our friends.

I found Emanuel through yelp and requested a quote through yelp's service.  He responded back and I called him up and he drove down for an estimate.   He was very professional and was able to give good insight into the placement of the extra outlets I requested.  Initially I called him to install an outlet for my tv and for my driveway camera but I ended up using him to install a few more outlets.  I recommend him highly.  He does a very clean job running the new wiring and always cleans up any debris he's made while installing the outlets.  Thanks again Emanuel and Pablo!

A true professional. excellent work done by Emmanuel i had an old gas dryer and was time to upgrade to a new 220v dryer.  Emanuel came over was very quick and had my 220 V wired up from the box to my new laundry dryer in no time. Very happy with the service

Some of my kitchen power outlets are not working, after reading so many good reviews, I called Emanuel and summed up the problem, he told me straight To save you money, maybe you can try to reset the power outlet yourself. and gave me some instructions. I tried and the outlets are all back on.

Had our lights go out on Friday and needed an electrician after trying to trip our breakers with no luck. We got a rec for Emanuel on next door and called. He came over on Saturday afternoon within a couple hours of when we called. He fixed the issue within 30 mins and even gave us some great advice about how to avoid fires with our cord layout. He was kind to my family and extremely helpful.

I cannot say enough nice things about this business and it's owner. The blower on my 20 year old fireplace insert stopped working. I called several places that either wouldn't work on it or wanted to sell me an entirely new inset. Emmanuel not only came the next day to look at it, he then took it out, researched where to find a new one, ordered it, and replaced it. All within a week. At 1/10th the cost of a new insert. It works great.
He was great about calling back and showed up when he said he would. Kudos to old fashioned customer service!!!

Emanuel has helped us out of so many pickles! We've used ECP on complicated jobs, panel upgrades, little fixes, you name it. He's always done an excellent job and at VERY reasonable prices. He even replaced a subpanel for my own home. I recently had a potentially hazardous situation at a property and he happened to be nearby. I found Emanuel from yelp and his work ethics is a benchmark for everyone. He is so thorough in his analysis of the problem and estimates. He is reasonably priced and yet provides professional and quality work. His attention to detail is commendable and he uses top quality material. He makes sure that the problem is solved completely and he also decodes why the problem arise in first place. He is prompt and keeps up with his schedule. Recently my main electrical panel was damaged (connection for 1 of the line was burned out), half of my house had no power. This was an emergency situation for me, I am glad I contacted Emanuel. He came to my house very next day with his team and diagnosed the issue as burned out main panel. Given my situation he was ready to immediately start the work and his team completed it with in 4-5 hours.
After few days he came back for city inspection and worked with inspector to get the work inspected and approved.

We had Emanuel come in and install 11 exterior lights and 1 exterior drop down light.   He was great, very professional, clearly knows what he is doing but you would expect that from a licensed electrician.

The best three characteristics are 1) his personality 2) the ease at which you can talk to him and 3) his ability to quickly get the job done.  

He goes above the call as he offered to take the garbage with him.

We would absolutely use him again.   He takes providing service to a higher level.

Called him late in the afternoon yesterday. He responded right away to my call. I called several companies and never got a return call from anyone else. He came over today and fixed our breaker. He was very nice and polite. He wasn't expensive at all. I will definitely recommend him and use him again!

I tried to work with Emanuel based on a recommendation from a friend. It took a long time to get hold of him, but I waited.  Then I spent a lot of time explaining in detail (to Emanuel) what my issues and concerns were and we set a time and day for Emanuel to come by and take care of things.  Day of the appointment, someone knocks on my door and says he doesn't know where Emanuel is, but he's here to fix my electrical issues.  Then he asks me what my issues are.  My head caught fire at that point.  Emanuel literally texted me right before that knock, saying that HE was on his way - then someone else shows up with no clue of what I needed?  I got no notice, no call, no text, no nothing from Emanuel to explain this??  Not before, during, or after.  This happened months ago and I'm still fuming about this entire experience.  I paid hundreds of dollars for 10 minutes of work and not even half of what I expected to get.  I could have hired a handyman and paid 1/4 for the same work (changing two outlets).  They may not care about my business, but best believe they cashed my check real QUICK.

I almost walked away from writing this review, but nobody had any basic courtesy to follow up like they told me they would.  Naive me was even willing to give them more business.  Honesty, integrity, and communication are important in any service business.  It seems Emanuel has too much business to worry about every customer.  Glad I moved on.

Emanuel responded right away to my request for a quote. We set up a time to meet and even though his other job was running long, he sent one of the other electricians on his crew to come check out our needs. He had a quote for me that same day. He and his crew were out the next day to do the work! They were nice, professional, knowledgeable and cleaned up after they were done! So happy to have a new electrician (since my last guy dropped off the face of the Earth!)

We just had Emanuel upgrade our panel to 200 amps. He arrived exactly on time, explained what he was going to and how long it would take. He and his helper jumped in and had us up and running by days end. The rates were fantastic and we even  had our inspection completed the same day. Everything looks super professional, our new panel was much larger than the one it replaced so there was a large amount of stucco repair needed. This was handled just as professionally as the panel upgrade. If you need this work done and want to feel good about this important upgrade, I can't recommend Emanuel highly enough. We had a job in our kitchen to solve an electrical problem.  They came on time, very polite crew and clean.  They even clean up the area after the job was completed.  I would used them again for solving your electical needs.

I had a small electrical job (replace a GFCI receptacle).  Emanuel was recommended on the Nextdoor site. I called on Friday, and Emanuel said he had a large job on Monday, but could come over after that. I called him on Monday, and he arrived around 2:30pm.  He quickly replaced the receptacle, and cleaned up the area afterwards.  I plan to use him later for other electrical projects. He will be my go-to electrician.

Emanuel and his crew are fantastic. My wife and I have used him for a number of projects around the house ranging from installing ceiling fans to adding circuit breakers to installing a charger for an electric car. I highly recommend Emanuel to anyone who needs electrical work done!

Emanuel and his team have been nothing short of phenomenal to work with!

I initially had Emanuel come and give me a consult on replacing outlets and doing some electrical wiring last year. We were in the middle of another project, and Emanuel was able to come out really quickly, give me an idea of the work and told me to call him when I was ready. He wasn't pushy, was very helpful and won my business within minutes of meeting him.

When our other project wrapped up I immediately called Emanuel to get the electrical work done. He was able to quickly get a time setup with us, did a phenomenal job of installing the outlets and even saw my pregnant wife purchasing outlet covers and told her don't waste your money, the outlet's we're installing in your house are child safe!

Fast forward a few months, I had an outlet in my kitchen blow when unplugging the iron, this was a pre-existing outlet that appeared newer so I didn't have Emanuel replace it initially. I texted Emanuel, he immediately called me back and gave me some advice while on vacation with his family! We had him come out, inspect and ultimately replace the GFI which had blown.

What an amazing person and electrician, I wish more people would run their business with this level of quality and integrity. Emanuel get's my full endorsement, and I'm referring him to my friends and co-workers as well.

Needed a bathroom fan removed and a new one installed. Plus a GFI outlet and change the switch from 1 for the bathroom lights and fan to 1 for the lights and a second for the fan. Emanuel explained that the fan and outlet were possible and the switches depended on the wiring inside the walls. The walls said the wiring was good for a second switch and it took him and his helper less than 1 hour. The price was reasonable. Oh, I called on a Monday and was scheduled for the next Friday. Wednesday morning He called me and said there was a a cancellation. He came out 15 minutes later and was finished in 1 hour, including cleaning up, and 2 days early. Forgot to mention that that work required cutting into the drywall in two places. The resulting cuts were the right size. No extra drywall work needed. No extra painting needed. Very happy.

On very short notice and on a weekend, Emanuel came by to assess our situation after a power surge from PG&E knocked several things out.  And he did so at NO CHARGE!  Great customer service, so he gets first dibs on helping us restore several things that got fried.  Highly recommend him!

Emanuel and his staff have come out to our house for two jobs (actually, I kept thinking of things to do so we spaced out the work and he was so accommodating!). We just bought a house and needed overhead light in the bedrooms. What started as a simple ceiling fan install turned into that plus recessed lighting plus additional light switches in the kitchen and dimmers and suggestions for upstairs fans/etc. Emanuel is extremely professional, he and his staff arrived right on time and he had really great recommendations. He kept me involved through the process about what he was doing, how he was doing it, and what the alternatives were for what I wanted to do. Very helpful and honest.  Our lights were flickering and Emanuel asked me to text him some pictures before he came out to save us some money he suggested to contact PG&E.  PG&E came out and fixed the problem.  We will definitely do businesses with him in the future.

I felt wary of hiring an electrician because of poor past experiences with other service people.  It's easy to feel vulnerable when you need to hire someone in a field that you know nothing about.  
The Yelp reviews led me to Emanuel and he changed that feeling completely.  He is the perfect professional, friendly, down to earth, explained the problem issue in a way I understood, charged the price that he had 'guesstimated', and was a delightful guy. He was immediately able to identify the reason that a breaker kept tripping, repaired it, and suggested other simple upgrades to my 37-year-old home that would make it safer and bring it into compliance with current codes.  You cannot go wrong with this guy.  I would strongly recommend him to my family/friends and to anyone with electrical problems.

We upgraded to a 200amp panel with permits, installed a disconnect for a mini split ac unit, and also grounded an outlet. He and his other electrician Ted did the work themselves and they were very respectful moving in and around the house. I shopped around and his prices were very competitive.

I appreciated that he was careful and didn't damage our drywall when grounding the outlet. He also did a good job of patching the exterior wall around the new panel  with matching stucco.

I also agree with another reviewer that he has a great personality and sense of humor!

I had a very difficult problem. A source line to a set of sockets just started working. The team came out an searched everywhere - and I mean everywhere. At the end of the day the source of the problem could not be found, so we devised a workaround and then they fixed it. The problem is still a mystery, but the solution is more than satisfactory.

Emanuel is not only an electrician.  He is an interior designer, engineer, and problem solver that masquerades as an electrician.  With his team on the project, he is able to understand client needs, recommend the optimal setup for wiring, and deliver on time all with very reasonable prices.  We hired Emanuel to redo the entire house from panel to lights, with only a rough idea of where everything would go.  He took the time to literally walk through our use cases, make adjustments (e.g. location of lights, switches), that didn't really make much sense to us at the time, but now living and using his suggestions realize that he 100% knows the best layout for any given room, both inside and out.

Another 5-star review for Emanuel and Ted. After a home inspection highlighted some areas of concern, I called Emanuel who was able to schedule me in the same week with Ted, at a time that convenient for me. Work done was great, efficient, and the price more than fair.  Ted was professional, answering all my questions and took time to explain work performed.

I've had Emmanuel out to my house to work on 3 projects now: clean up the demo on my kitchen, install undermount lighting, and install bathroom fans. All three are excellent. What I appreciate is that he pays attention to the details and didn't take short cuts on the work. He made sure that the right adjustable boxes accounted for the tile I put in, the location of the plugs matched up what I needed, and everything looks clean. He also noticed that the previous installer did the three way switch incorrectly, and he fixed that too.

I replaced the fluorescent cabinet undermount lighting/transformer with LED undermount lighting, which is actually quite strong (it reflects very strongly against my countertop), but it's effective and works well.  Most people haven't seen anything quite like it before.

He's really easy to get along with - very fair and patient. I called maybe 6-7 electricians before finding Emmanual, and many of those other guys were not friendly at all. I have no hesitation recommending Emmanuel for excellent electrical work.

These guys are excellent.  They offered to give me free advice over the phone on how to solve the problem myself, so that I wouldn't have to pay them.  Who does that in this day and age?  Eventually Emanuel came out himself, and fixed the problem quickly and effectively.  I'm definitely hiring them again!

These two guys did a fantastic job setting up a designated 220 line for my wall oven they were very efficient very personal and joyed their company and hiring them to do my electrical work. In the future if I need any electrical work I know who to go to.

Emanuel was great. Swapped out my chandelier that was 20' tall. Then took care of 2 other GGCI I was having problems with. They cleaned up after they job was done. He's my go to electrician.

Recently, I had noticed that my upstairs bathroom ceiling fan was making louder and louder noises, and I decided that this fan definitely needed to be replaced.  I contacted Emanuel Perakis, from ECP Electric, discussed the situation with him, received a quote, and we agreed that he would come to my home for this job.  I indicated to him that, as long as I was having the upstairs bathroom fan replaced, I would like to have him replace the ceiling fan in the downstairs bathroom, as well.  On the agreed-upon date, and at the agreed-upon time, Emanuel and Pablo arrived at my home.  They were polite, friendly, got right to work, and I now have two brand new QUIET bathroom ceiling fans.  I was impressed with the fact that they covered the areas where they were working with tarps and, when the job was done, they completely vacuumed and cleaned the areas where they had worked.  I am very grateful to Emanuel and Pablo for a timely, careful, neat job.  I also very much appreciate how friendly and helpful they were with any questions that I had asked.  They deserve to be recognized for this great job!

We had a problem with our rental unit and needed to get it fixed right away. I came to Yelp to see what the reviews are and found ECP Electric right at the top. After having Emanuel come out and fix the problem, it's easy to see why he's rated so highly by everyone. He's fast, efficient and reasonably priced.

Called Emanuel to get a quote on recessed lighting. The way in which he talked with me for the first time was enough for me to realize that this was the guy I'll be going with. Extremely courteous and provided an extremely detailed explanation of what's in store for recessed lighting and possible ideas that he had in mind on how he would accomplish the job.
We got recessed lighting done from him in two rooms. In one of the rooms which was on a lower floor, he had to cut a few holes in the sheet rock to get the wiring in but he had already given me a heads up regarding this and also mentioned that I will have to get another person to get the holes patched and textured as he only did electrical work. Fair enough.
The recessed lighting work was excellent, very professional installation and he was nice enough to explain every step of the process.
He was punctual enough to arrive on time and finish the job in the time he has estimated.
The completed job is as good as it can get.

Emanuel of ECP Electric was terrific. He and his assistant Carlos tackled some unique and unusual wiring issues as well as provided some basic repairs. They were friendly, respectful and extremely professional in all their interactions. After they departed, I felt confident that their work was of the best quality and I could trust they had found the right solutions for the right problems. Emanuel is one of those professionals inspires confidence from the first time you meet him.  He did a lot of work in the backyard and bedrooms.  He was on time and neat as was his helped Pablo.  They discussed what they were doing and make suggestions.  Emanuel found the wiring in my main panel was a mess (not surprising after so many other electricians have worked in their so he completely rewired it and only charged for one hour.  I highly recommend him.

Answered on first dial. Showed up on time (15 mins early). Polite, courteous, knowledgeable. Ted charged me what they quoted on the phone. Tidied up after himself and educated me as to what had gone wrong. In the process he had to check main wiring box and gave me comments on competency/professional of that job. All in all totally thrilled. if every professional was as professional as this life would be a lot easier and a lot more pleasant. They are now my electricians for life.

He drove out same day to quote for a new 220V outlet, then came back and did exactly what he promised, exactly when he promised. He even replaced an outlet on the outside of my house that was hanging loose just as a favor. He cleaned up perfectly and actually left the kitchen in a cleaner state than when he arrived! Highly recommended, and I won't hesitate to call him for the next electrical problem that arises.

It's really hard to earn a 5 start review from me.  Here's why Emanuel deserves it.

Emanuel listens and has good ideas:
He listened to what we needed, rewired the old half of our house, cleaned up a functioning but messy/jenky city approved rewire to a 200 Amp panel.

Emanuel is very neat:
Many times, contractors know their stuff, but are messy and don't pay attention to the details that leave most of us with a smile on our face.  All the wires were neatly routed under the house, drop cloths were used, and there was no unnecessary drywall patching- yay.

Emanuel does what he promises:
Although we paid him fully upon completion there were a couple small details that he told us needed to be finished.  Some people wouldn't bother to remember and care to come back to do this, but he did, and I can't be happier.

He also guaranteed a ceiling fan remote when similar remotes have failed in the past.  Well, it failed (no fault of his) and he stuck to his word and came back to put in a permanent switch for us AND he had great attitude.

We needed an electrician and had called a couple of electrician who were very difficult to schedule so I called Emanuel in the morning and he called me back with in the hour and was able to come by that same morning to do the work (awesome)!

He replaced a 3 light bathroom vanity and was able to trouble shoot the placement of the new light I bought. He replaced a bedroom light, worked on a outdoor fan & worked on and went to the hardware store to get replacement bulbs for a bedroom fan/light. He also fixed a few loose recess lights in the dining room.

He did a great job, very friendly and kept me in the loop of what he had done on each of the jobs. I thought he went above and beyond to get these jobs done and his price was very reasonable. I will use ECP electric from now on!!

I have hired Emanuel to perform several jobs at my house over the past few years. He has always been on time, courteous, and honest with his assessment of the issue and the solution which he presents, along with a reasonable price to get it done.

Emanuel has installed new outlets (interior and exterior), LED pot lights, track lighting, a new sub panel in my garage, new copper wiring from the main panel to the sub panel, and solved several other electrical issues in my house (built in the 60's). Each time, he surprises me with the completeness of his work, and the reasonable prices that he offers.

I have had two other electricians work in my house in the past, and was never satisfied with their work. Emanuel actually had to fix some of their work, since they were unable to perform the work correctly.

I wanted to install dimmers and a ceiling fan to surprise my wife before she returned back from a trip with the kids.  I had called a handyman to install them and he failed miserably.   The handyman said he would come back on a Saturday to get the job done but after spending 5 hrs to install a ceiling fan and 3 dimmers (and failing), I had lost about as much faith in a persons capabilities as one can lose (that might sound harsh, but dimmers and a ceiling fan are pretty straight forward installations...I had hired him to save me time from doing it myself so I could work on other projects.  Instead, he was asking me to troubleshoot things with him).  I looked on Yelp and based on all the great reviews, I called Emanuel explaining my issues...the botched job and my surprise deadline.  He was pretty booked and actually in the middle of a job but said he would call me in the evening to see what we could do.   He called.   He asked a lot of questions that impressed me.  The most memorable, did the handy man go into the attic to make sure the box can support the weight of the fan.  Memorable because the answer was no, he had not.   Emanuel said he would verify the box in the attic could support the weight to prevent potential collapse as well as wobbling.   We spoke and he was fairly confident he could get the fan working, citing some general mistakes that are often made.  He instructed me not to return the old fan just yet and let him take a shot at it.    He  made time on a Saturday to come to my house and give it a shot to help me out with my 'surprise'.  Right there, a 5 star effort.  I mean, what more can you ask for than a person going a extra mile.   He spent about an hour trying to undo what the handy man did and ultimately concluded that the unit was likely fried (humbly saying it might have come that way and not necessarily the work of the handy man).  He then took it all down and installed a back up fan that I had purchased at Home Depot.   When it was all said and done, he only asked for the original quoted fee (that is to say, he basically tried to troubleshoot and install a fan for about an hour, couldn't get it to work because it was faulty and started all over again and installed a second fan and asked for the original single fan installation rate).   He also saw that the face plates on the dimmers were a bit skewed and took them off, double checked the wiring work of the handyman...noticed an error which was causing some issues between a multi-switch and fixed that problem and then put the plates back in a more ascetic way (straightening the plate and aligning the screws).   A perfectionist.  

He came back a week later to install LED lights throughout the house.   Very courteous, very down to Earth and his pricing very reasonable.

I ran into some trouble replacing an old dimmer switch and Emanuel was able to fix it for me.  His base charge covers two hours of labor, and since replacing the dimmer took so little time, he offered to install several other outlets and switches that I had planned to do myself at no additional charge.  Great service and very easy going.

Would highly recommended Emanuel. He rewired our whole house several years ago, removing the old knob and tube wiring. Did a very professional job. Recently we called Emanuel to help with the installation of an electric car charger. His rates are reasonable and the quality of his work is first rate.

I came by Emanuel via a contractor.  I came home to find this mild mannered gentleman working diligently and quietly installing recessed cans in my ceiling.  He came down from his ladder and introduced himself and proceeded to advise me that over the long run, LED lights would ultimately save me money, though expensive on the front end.  I don't come across very many people who spend THEIR time saving ME money, but that is just the tip of the iceberg where Emanuel's consideration is.  He had to stagger several visits to work around other activities going on during my remodel.  He is always so cheerful and respectful.  He always asks about my family, working hard all the while.  I recently had the pleasure of meeting his father and I can say, he comes from good stock.  That is out of the ordinary and finding such a quality person in an electrician was a stroke of luck.  I'd recommend Emanuel 10 times out of 10 if you have any electrical need in your life.

Last week our 56 years old house had some electrical supply problems. Emanuel came to give us a detail diagnosis and options to solve the problem. Emanuel came to my Mother-in-Law's house to inspect a Federal Pacific electrical panel and a weak stab lok circuit breaker. Extremely professional and nice to her and explained what he was looking for. Tightened loose terminals and checked all of the breakers. I rarely take the time to write a review but am an avid YELP user. Because of the level of service and expertise that Emanuel demonstrated  for this job, he deserves the highest rating. He came to us from our contractor. We had decided to put recess lighting in both an attic setting and in the main living area. There was no existing lighting. This sounds easy but everything was either vaulted and/or on an angle. Our new lights are beautiful, energy efficient and give us  well lit rooms with no shadows. We were so happy that we had Emanuel install lights in a room we had already completed. His planning and efficiency made it easy for our contractor to come back in and patch the areas where the new lights were installed. Emanuel is fairly priced and his detailed invoices reflect everything he has done and the price he quoted. As he worked he found some issues that come along with owning an older home. He fixed some and others he told us about and gave us all of our options. He is our electrician for any new jobs we will do in the future and our family highly recommends him for any of your electrical needs. TC
