Norm's Lock and Safe

They fit a key to my jeep hood after trying quite a few keys and it worked!  I have been here 4-5 times for keys etc and always have had a good experience.

Called on the 6th to have 3 locks re-keyed in Prescott, they could not get to us until the 11th between 9 to 10am. We drove up from Phoenix so we can be here for the appointment, only to receive at call at 9:20 am from Jody, that Chris could not make the appt and she could not remember what the job entailed, seriously... She said he could be here from 10 to 11am but we have other appt's scheduled. It is so frustrating that my job was not deemed as important as what he is already working on. We used to use Norm's all the time, looks like we will be finding someone else who values our business. Super frustrating...

Very skilled, professional and friendly! Thank you for spending time to remove (wrong?)key from the deadbolt lock. Very reasonable cost as well. Now we know where to buy a gun safe if we need one. Norm's is the best!!

Super helpful and friendly. I love this place , quick easy in and out , no long lines and uneducated staff the big box places have . Selection of safes is pretty good too . I had keys made and they were a great fit. I'll definitely be back here for all my keys and lock needs from now on.

Need a key for my car, went there many times to get it cut. After numerous times I finally left the blank and the key. When I went back to get the newly cut key it was cut wrong and it was so sad too bad and,Norm I assume is the owner,never saw him and they couldn't care less I would never use these people again

Norm's Lock and Safe is practically a local institution. Family owned and run with integrity for decades. In a town changing with new residents so quickly it is a comfort to turn to trusted and proven businesses.

I love this place always use Norms! I locked myself out and they got me back in. I purchased a safe and always get my keys cut with them. I have used other locksmiths before on my rentals and big mistake. Will not make that mistake ever again. Highly Recommend if you want the job done right.

Chris the owner of Norm's Lock & Safe came out to our business when I asked for a quote on having 4 door handles removed and replace them with thumb twist locks as well as to have the hole covered up from the removal of the existing door handle.  We have a door that I showed him which we wanted to replicate exactly.  Chris stated I am familiar with this door as I installed this.  I also asked about having a hinge plate replaced on a door that was broken.  Chris came out for this visit and let me know he would get me a quote.  Approx a week later he came back to work on the doors.  I asked about the quote before we got started to which he provided this information to me and I wrote down the figures and showed it to him for confirmation.  He stated I don't have to do the work if you don't want me to.  I let him know that wasn't the case, rather I needed the quote to know what the costs were going to be before he got started. I also asked about he hinge plate and he replied that I needed to contact the Door & Window Store to have this repaired.  We agreed to move forward and Chris proceeded to remove the door handles and install the thumb twist locks.  Chris came back over and stated he didn't have the correct color material to cover the hole in the door and that he would get the materials and be back.  Approximately a week later he arrived and installed a piece of material to cover the hole.
Chris came to us and stated he wanted us to decide about the color of the screws which he had already installed.  They were not the original screws from the door handles in which he removed. The screws he used were silver on a brown door & not installed in the correct place, now causing damage to the door.  He stated that there were no brown screws to which I let him know he removed the screws from the door with the original door handles that he removed.  I provided the original door handles to him with all of the screws in which he was supposed use to finish this project.  His decision to install the screws without talking to us first was where to problem started.  This was not as we had originally discussed from the door that we looked at to which he was to use as the example. We let him know that what he had installed it was not acceptable.  I asked him what was the expectation that I set with him originally and he stated that I needed to stop yelling at him.  He stated he would need to go back to his shop to fix the metal plate he was using to cover the hole in the door and would need to come back again to finish the job.  As I walked away I though through the conversations that we had and decided that Chris is not and would not be able to complete this job as he had quote and stated he would.  I asked him for an invoice to pay for the locks and let him know we would not have him back to finish what he started. Chris is the owner and operator of this company.  He lacks customer service to fix a problem that he created & I can not recommend him as his ability to do what he says he will do and to do it correctly was not done.

Just had them cut some keys for me. They were very friendly and quick. I'll use them again.
