In order to understand my review, you must first understand me.  I am meticulous with details and am a perfectionist by nature.  I don't usually expect providers to be the same way but Michael at Slider Door Guru is!  Let me explain.  

Initially, my sliding door took: the might of Hercules, the will of the little train that could, and the courage of a firefighter, to open.  Over the years, the track had become seriously worn; as a result, we just expected to have to buy and replace the whole door and screen with a completely new one.  My whole family HATED having to open it because of the effort it took to get it open.  We knew we needed an expert to help us.  Luckily, we stumbled upon Slider Door Guru!  Michael assured me that a replacement wasn't necessary and that he could fix ours.  After wrestling with the stubborn slider for several months, I had my doubts!  Nevertheless, I had faith and Michael got to work on the repair.  

Michael, diligently worked to make the track and rollers right again.  First, he started with a standard track and replaced the rollers but he was not happy with doing a minimal job with average results.  He quickly realized he needed a heavy duty track replacement to do the job effectively.  He did just that and charged the same amount.  His attention to detail is impressive.  He fine-tuned the slider, ordered and installed a new screen, and always communicated the process with me. Now, the sliding glass door and screen work beautifully.  Gone are the days of nearly getting a hernia trying to open the door!  No longer do we have to pray to God for strength before we attempt to slide our door open.  

If your sliding door is giving you issues, call Sliding Door Guru to help you out.  However, my suggestion comes with a few caveats.  Only call Michael if you expect and appreciate:  Professional service, awesome communication, attention to detail, honesty, and fair pricing.  If you don't like these things, go elsewhere.

They did great work on installing a new slider for me. Communicated well, looks and works great and they added the customizations I needed. Definitely will be using them again for future work.

I can't say enough good things about this company! They were the 6th company I called (I never get that many quotes for a job) because I just couldn't get on board with the other companies. Thank goodness I didn't give up and tried one last company.  They're extremely responsive, kind, patient, and knowledgeable and offer great prices for their products, definitely not inflated like several of the other companies I talked to and the doors were ready to install in less than 4 weeks after ordering. They are not hard sellers but will any questions you have and offer advice if needed. They replaced 2 sets of very old French doors (one set included a sidelight) in my condo and I could not be happier. They also replaced door sweeps and weatherstripping on two other doors as well as fixed a sticky patio door just because Craig noticed it sticking as he opened it. Kris also left the place as clean as when he came. Craig and Kris are just genuinely nice people with fair prices, incredibly hard workers, and are very meticulous in what they do. I will go to them for all of my future door and window needs as well as recommend them to anyone who needs windows and doors. You will not regret it!

We broke the glass in our sliding door at the end of May. Home Depot said it would be months to get it fixed. The Glass Doctor came out, quoted us and had it repaired in less than a week. He saved the day!  Reliable, fast, and pleasant. We enjoyed our experience so much we're having him install our shower door in our remodel. Highly recommend!

Not a credible or reliable company. Waited all day for a technician to come to my house for the scheduled appointment. No one showed up. No one at the office will take my call. Not actually a 24/7 service. Do not recommend them.

Jason repaired several windows and re-stained our front door in preparation for listing our house. The work turned out great and any issues we had were dealt with swiftly and fairly

I called on Wednesday and Tye was able to come out on Friday to our Mesa, AZ home.   He called about an hour before he was to arrive at his scheduled time to let me know he was on his way.  Tye has the nicest set-up.  He is   attentive to the details and getting the job done right.   Felt very comfortable having Tye in my home.  Very pleased with his work and would recommend Tye and his company.

Phil responded quickly to my request quickly, showed up on time after finding the only windshield that fit my car in the whole Valley, then made quick work of the install.  He has all the high tech gear needed to recalibrate a car's lane holding and other safety features.  

Car is like new.  Highly recommend.

A very small rock hit our slider when my husband was mowing on Sat morning. Totally shattered our door. Saw these guys on Yelp. Called them. They responded within 5 minutes and arranged to come out that afternoon. Came out (on time) gave me a quote and said they would let me know if they had the glass in stock. Called me back and arranged to come back the next day. (On a Sunday I might add) Abraham arrived on time, replaced the door (all by himself) and brought his own broom and trash can for clean up! Great service, great people!

I had a very scary interaction with two men driving one of the company trucks in Tempe. They engaged in serious reckless driving and unprovoked road rage. At one point they had almost ran me off the road into oncoming traffic. I cannot vouch for how good their work is but if their employees behave like that on the road, then I would never let them close to my family or my property. If driving is a part of the job, especially in a company marked truck, you need to consider training your employees in the rules of the road (no swerving, tailgating, stopping in the middle of the intersections, SPEEDING, proper use of signals, etc.) I witnessed all of this behavior in the short time I shared the road with them. Shocked and disappointed.

This  has been the worst experience by far!
Ray Baxter is a narcissist crook who was verbally abusive to me and his own wife. He blames everybody else in fact it's his clueless ways of running a business! He will yell at customers if he doesn't get his money when he wants it. His installer Simon is not licensed and illegal

They used a dirty tactic last week to get my case closed with the Registrar of Contractors by having their brother Justin Jobe who they told the Better Business Bureau isn't even part of their company show up in their place for the inspection. Here's the thing, Justin Jobe was already told that he wasn't allowed to come back to my house and it was all done so that I would deny access. The ROC investigators had already told me to involve law enforcement, but then used it against me by closing my case against Haven Construction when their brother Justin Jobe of Grayson LLC came in their place even though everyone knew he wasn't allowed on the property. I've added more photos because now the foundation is cracking my floor tiles and expanding the crack in an exterior wall too.

The guy told me not to buy this unit sold at Home Depot but to buy one from Parker and son. Parker and son wants $7,000.... This was $1,200 + 500 to a guy to install it. Saved me $5,300 by not listening to the guy working at Home Depot... I don't get why they buy these, stock them and then not try to sell them....
