Best Ceiling Light Repair in Phoenix AZ

They should be called Anything but Simple Electric.
I originally contacted them in March of 2021 after purchasing a home.  The previous owners had installed a salt cell hot tub incorrectly.  I called to get this corrected.  I also asked about tracing down some light connections since I couldn't figure out how to turn on certain lights in the home.  At first, it was very difficult connecting to them.  There always seemed to be a problem with the phone for the business as answered by the office manager Ashley.  When we did, I asked if they would do the work the same day and was told yes.  Mike and someone obviously new and in training showed up.  Mike appeared to know what he was doing.  He was assisting the other guy with a switch and wall plate.  He could not tell what a switch was for either.  I later solved that on my own, but still needed to know how to turn on another light or wire a switch.  Mike looked at it from the ceiling and said it should not be difficult.  Outside, he agreed that the electric connection to the hot tub ( running an extension cord from the house to the hot tub) was incorrect and should not be used.  He spoke about needing a trench from the outside electric panel to the hot tub.  No work for anything was done that day ... contradictory to what I was told.  I asked if I could save some money for labor if I dug the trench and was told yes.  When I received the invoice, it was going to be $200 less if I dug the trench.  (a foot deep and probably 40 feet long).  I guarantee you they would have charged 3x's the amount if they dug it themselves.  I don't even want to tell you how many hours I needed to do it.

That said, that didn't stop them from figuring out my light that wouldn't turn on.  They didn't.  They also didn't figure out the one switch.  I later did.  I later finished the trench in May and called them in the beginning of June. An appointment was later set up for Saturday, June 26th. Long time for something "Simple".  I said that I wanted to include figuring out a shed on the property.  There are switches and plugs in there and an electrical conduit outside, but no power.  I was told Mike would call me earlier in the week to go over what I wanted, he didn't.  The day before, I had a call from Ashley, the office manager, who although she had scheduled the appointment at 10 ( saying she knew Mike would allow that) she now is trying to tell me that the appointment has to be at 6AM!  She said he had to go in the attic and couldn't do that  since it could get to 150 degrees up there.  I said he didn't need to go in the attic.  The shed was outside as was the conduit and so was the trench (which was the main reason for hiring them).  They just needed to make a connection, and run wire through a conduit in the trench that I dug.  She kept insisting he needed to get in the attic.  I kept saying no and if they didn't want the job, or just didn't want to work Saturday, or don't like working in the heat; they shouldn't have accepted it, had me dig the trench, or said it would be easy to do.  I said there was no way they were going to be in my attic at 6AM knowing that I have a medical problem and wouldn't even be awake.  If they were "Simple" they could have done the inside work back in March or April - although it still was never stated they needed to be in the attic.  At least it wouldn't have been "150 degrees" in the attic! They could have even have asked if they could do that in Sept or Oct. On the appointment day, they could have done the outside work in probably an hour or less and have been done, but Nooooooooo - I guess that would be too simple and too smart!

Instead, they got no work, have to pay back my deposit, and get a negative but honest review.  I wouldn't recommend anyone using them unless you like making a mountain out of a mole hill, and doing everything the hard way.  Nothing is simple for Simple Electric.

Oh, and no matter what they might say about this review, it is how it happened, and I have all the recorded phone calls for anyone interested. Unless you don't mind waiting and then not having the work done, be smart and find someone else... I will.

Tom could not have been nicer!  Told us what was going on at all times and is as honest as one would hope on a job like this!  I have found my electrician as long as I live in Phoenix!  Comes off as absolutely genuine and you can tell he enjoys his job.  Real find!  This company's rating is well deserved, and I imagine Tom is part of the reason. THANK YOU FOR FIXING OUR DARK BEDROOM!

I discovered major electrical issues in my attic late last year. After consulting multiple people, it was clear my older house was in need of a complete rewire. Firefly Electric was very responsive. They even came out during a cold rain to give me an estimate. They kept their word on the estimate.
I could not be more satisfied with the installation. The 240V, 50 Amp circuit, and Nema 14-50 connector look excellent and ideal for my EV charging station.
The technician explained what he was doing and his approach to installation.

The service was good the fan replacement is functional I believe more background information could've been obtained which would've helped I am partially her fault the outside fan needed a ceiling extension this would've been a good question for them to ask where the fan was being placed the inside fan Needed a wall mount instead of a handheld switch this will be good questions to ask the average customer prior to the arrival of the specialist once again good service

If great scientific and electrically curious minds such as Alexander Graham Bell, Ottó Bláthy, Thomas Edison, Galileo Ferraris, Oliver Heaviside, Ányos Jedlik, Lord Kelvin, Sir Charles Parsons, Ernst Werner von Siemens, Joseph Swan, Nikola Tesla and George Westinghouse could write a yelp review on any one electric company, they would undoubtedly sing the praises i am about to sing for Arc Electrical.

I'm in the middle of a remodel, and have purchased numerous electrical supplies from Arc. Not only are their prices fair, they provide insight and learned instruction on various strategies for cost savings, safe and efficient electric know how.  It is a shame their experience was unavailable in the late 1800's, for they might have, dear reader, just might have . becoming a driving force of the Second Industrial Revolution.

Alex is a very detailed electrician. He understands the complexity of certain projects with ease. We used him to rewire our entire house. His work was fast, complete and reasonably priced.

Clarence is an Expert. We've used Clarence for the past 4 years. Each project was done right: the first time and priced right. Get the job done by a licensed professional especially when it comes to dealing with electricity. I highly recommend Read Electric.

My garden hose was fused to the spigot. Rather than create a bigger problem, I went on-line. Shelton was one of several respondents. Ty arrived 15 minutes after agreeing to stop by and within minutes solved the problem. Happy to have found a Handyman Service that is quick to respond, gives excellent service and is reasonably priced.

Jon just installed a dining room chandelier for my parents in Sun City West. He did an expert job in under half an hour and was super professional and friendly even when my mom was hovering and asking a hundred questions. He even took off his shoes because we just got new carpet. Our double wall ovens went out. An appliance repair guy told us it wasn't the ovens - that despite the breaker seeming ok, there was no electric reaching them. That's when we called Rio. Dan came out and discovered something had burnt up inside the wall behind the ovens, and he fixed it in no time. Setting up the appointment was easy, everyone was courteous and efficient, and our problem was resolved in a timely and cost effective manner. We will definitely use Rio again for our future electrical needs!

We were moving into a new house and called on these guys for an estimate. I talked to Jim on the phone who was great and very detail oriented. The electrician called before arrival that day and wanted to know more about the project to make sure he had everything in his truck he needed. He showed up early, asked if he should mask up which he did and proceeded to do the work. If you ever need some electric work done I would highly recommend these guys. I will be calling them again.

Eldon with Armstrong Electrical has been so amazing for my wife and I.
I made the mistake of trying to diy more than a few things electrical jobs around my house and he saved my butt each time.  Our house is a blend of historic and modern so the wiring is more complicated than either of us thought!!  He is a great handyman as well, he has fixed plumbing issues and also automotive stuff. Great guy, highly recommend.  Trustworthy and fast.  It's HIS business so he cares about his reputation.

Yes, you offered to come fix it but also stated that cutting the stucco would be a costly repair for me so I cut the stucco myself and mounted appropriate boxes. Cost me all of $30 for a masonry hole saw. Don't put this on me. You ran some wire thru my attics then had a couple of kids mount some boxes poorly. I'll post more pics if you really want to push this. I was being nice.

RJ, Mike, Sonja, Jason, Armondo & everyone at Strayer Electric are the BEST - technically, professionally and ethically!  They performed the 'service upgrade' for our new A/C install last summer and did a GREAT job!  And, today, when our neighborhood experienced a transient 'phase drop-out', one of our new 'surge protectors' went dark - and stayed that way until my wife tried the range and, then, everything reset - including the protector's LED!  So, once again, I called Strayer and they immediately 'dispatched' Sonja to make sure everything was alright.  She showed up right away and quickly verified that we were 'good to go.'  I couldn't expect better support IF these folks were part of my family!  I most heartily and unequivocally recommend them!

PS:  The problem was definitely w/APS ... (Huge Sigh!)

Prodigy electric was pleasant, timely and reasonable in charges. Had lighting damage, they came on time fixed it quickly and even did some extra work since he was here.
