HISTORY

Rj Strayer started the business in the early 90'S installing ceiling fans in the summer. The big break was his first contract with the Ultimate Warriors Gym in Scottsdale. Since then its been steady growth. We are Licensed in Arizona and California. We still install ceiling fans and Perform Giant Renovations on Hotels as well. "No job too Small"

ABOUT BUSINESS OWNER

It was when I was on top of South Mountain one afternoon/evening, I looked down 'At the Valley of the Sun' and I really became aware of how many lights there were....Yes, all the lights that needed to be changed and decided to go into businesses and offer my service to businesses, changing light bulbs and ballasts on a monthly basis, at time and material. I grew that business quickly, as I found all it took was to walk up to a store manager and ask why the light fixtures were out. They were embarrassed, they hadn't looked up while doing their jobs and I assured them "it was my job to help them."

Strayer Electric has definitely evolved over time. My 20+ years of on-the-job training, classes, seminars and getting my butt kicked some have allowed us to do some really fun, yet challenging work.

We do not specialize in the mundane. We specialize in the specialty work; the work that takes knowledge, experience and confidence, which makes our clients trust us.

RJ, Mike, Sonja, Jason, Armondo & everyone at Strayer Electric are the BEST - technically, professionally and ethically! They performed the 'service upgrade' for our new A/C install last summer and did a GREAT job! And, today, when our neighborhood experienced a transient 'phase drop-out', one of our new 'surge protectors' went dark - and stayed that way until my wife tried the range and, then, everything reset - including the protector's LED! So, once again, I called Strayer and they immediately 'dispatched' Sonja to make sure everything was alright. She showed up right away and quickly verified that we were 'good to go.' I couldn't expect better support IF these folks were part of my family! I most heartily and unequivocally recommend them!

PS: The problem was definitely w/APS ... (Huge Sigh!)

Don't hesitate to use these guys. They worked magic with an out door electrical problem. Actually resolving an issue that other fussy electrical firms (well known) wanted nearly $1,000 to run a new circuit from my box. Strayer, looking into a totally unrelated issue, located an unused circuit/wire servicing my pool equipment and after discussing with me converted it to a live new circuit solving a problem for me. It was simple clean up work for them but a real treat for me. There was a call back and the billing got tricky we discussed and they took the initiative to adjust the bill. I know, I feel bad. They saved me a ton because they fixed a problem under their hourly rate. But they could see my side of the other part of the billing. The adjustment was more than a token. It could have gone either way and frankly if they had not simply reduced my bill as they did I would have paid the full bill and been a little frustrated. I didn't request the adjustment, they simply made the adjustment. My Point is - These guys take a win-win approach to the business relationship and want your business and offer above average expertise (compared to the other firms that looked into the circuit problem). And do it at a fair price. My experience was first rate. They are on my short list of ONE.
