Ryan has been doing Electrical work since he graduated high school in 2001. He has worked for other companies along the way until he started Rio Electric back in 2007. Since then he has helped Rio grow and served thousands of Clients. His father taught him to work hard and always do the best work to set oneself apart. That's what he does. He still takes some calls and does some of the work himself. Who knows you might be lucky enough to get him out to your job, if not don't worry. Our double wall ovens went out. An appliance repair guy told us it wasn't the ovens - that despite the breaker seeming ok, there was no electric reaching them. That's when we called Rio. Dan came out and discovered something had burnt up inside the wall behind the ovens, and he fixed it in no time. Setting up the appointment was easy, everyone was courteous and efficient, and our problem was resolved in a timely and cost effective manner. We will definitely use Rio again for our future electrical needs!
Ryan and his crew were very responsive very responsive. I had quite the job of getting a hot tub wired up from one corner of the property to the other.

Our range kept throwing the breaker. I replaced the breaker and then the outlet, all with no change. Oh, we also replaced the stove too but nothing would keep the use of the oven from throwing the breaker. Dan came by and methodically inspected and measured amps drawn, then got another breaker from his van... and wouldn't you know it... the one I bought from Home Depot was bad..!! Thanks to Dan for quickly determining the minor problem when I thought for sure we would need another line run ($$). The entire experience with Rio was easy, friendly, and pleasant. Highly recommend them!
Called to have a light fixture centered above my new dining room table. These guys went out of their way to remove extra chains and level my fixture. Both men were very fast, professional and knowledgeable. They called before the appt to tell me they were in traffic and would be about 15 min late....I was impressed by their customer service. Will recommend and always use them in the future.
I'm glad I remembered i used Rio Electric for my ring and Ryan texted me back quickly. He got me scheduled for the next day. Ryan replaced my gfci outlet and rewired my Frig to the main line so if it trips it doesn't turn off the Frig like it was doing. They stay busy and do good work. I will continue to use them. I used their services on July 27 2021. Late review but I appreciated the customer service and the good work completed.
We needed a switch moved and RIO's quote was lower than others and they were able to come out earlier than we anticipated. Dan did a fantastic job and was very efficient.

We were having cabinets installed that was going to end up going around the only outlet that controls our light switch. We didn't realize this until weeks away from installation so we needed to find someone who could come out quickly with a reasonable price. They were able to come out and move the outlet to a wall that wouldn't be blocked. They did a fantastic job.
I was having shelves installed and one outlet was going to be inside a cabinet. It happened to be the outlet controlled by the lightswitch. I needed that cable run to a different outlet so I could use my lamp. They did a phenomenal job!!! The outlet was on a different wall all the way on the other side of the room. They not only completed this job quickly, they didn't make a mess and kept the drywall intact so I only needed to do patch work. I'd hire them anytime!
I have had them to my house a couple times and always receive the highest level of service. Their pricing is fair and upfront. They also take the time to educate the non electrical educated like me. Trust is a huge thing and sometimes hard to find, but I trust Rio Electric and their team.
We are really happy to have hired Rio! We needed some additional wall outlets installed, including a couple high-voltage appliance outlets, and they were really responsive in scheduling the appointment. Professional, one-time, and very friendly, and their prices were fair. We will definitely use them again for any future electrical work!
Rio electric is absolutely fantastic. The scheduling process was helpful and easy. We had a second light installed on the front of our house along with fixture installations. They showed up early, they were super friendly and worked efficiently. Compared to other companies we have dealt with, Rio electric is by far the best one. We have already referred one of our neighbors who was curious about who we had come out. We will be long time customers of Rio Electric.
We had the best experience with Rio and I cannot say enough good things. After being quoted 3x the price by some bigger companies and being told they'd only quote us if they could come out and look at the house first, I was over the hunt and felt really annoyed by the process to simply get some fans installed. In a last ditch effort I reached out to Rio. They quickly got back to me with an easy and simple quote that was a fraction of what the bigger companies are trying to charge. They were able to schedule me within a couple weeks of me reaching out, were very friendly, and sent reminder emails. Their team showed up on time, they were professional, thorough, quick/efficient, and just did an awesome job. I cannot possibly imagine the job being done better and have no idea who some of these bigger companies think they are charging so much but I will 10000% be using Rio for all future electric needs.
After initially contacting Ryan, he was able to fit me into his schedule right away. Danny and Bill came out to install 4 pendant lights in my kitchen as well as a separate wall switch. They were polite, knowledgeable, and asked for my input on placement, etc. They cleaned up during and after the installation, which I appreciated. Thank you, Ryan and crew, for a job well done!

I hired this company to install electric outlets and a dedicated circuit to my pergola (at the recommendation of the pergola builder).
I should have gone with my gut and hired another company when I could not get a quote for 5 days and had to keep reminding Ryan (the owner) to send me one. The quote was very vague with little detail and I had a lot of questions. I found the owner Ryan to be arrogant, possessing poor communication and follow-up skills when I asked about the overall solution. He kept saying was I designed it the way I would design it if it was my house.
When the company employees (a contractor and a new guy on his first day with no electrical knowledge) arrived, they arrived very unprepared. I spent over an hour explaining again what I needed after numerous phone calls to Ryan to clarify. The employees didn't have the right tools or parts to complete the job as quoted. I had to go to home depot to get supplies for them. They had one small shovel to dig the trench and tore up my yard which will cost me money to reseed and repair.
After day 1, the job was not completed. The contractor told me he needed to be paid. I said I would not pay until the job was completed. Ryan called and demanded payment immediately which those terms were not included in the written estimate. After I stated he would be paid when the job was completed, he hung up on me. He then threatened to rip everything out. I then got a voicemail stating he was sorry and had issues in the office.
After a second scheduled visit a few days later, a switch was found to be wired incorrectly and the company was relived of any further duties. I hired another company to finish the work. The same day I was sent an invoice for the work completed from Ryan stating I had 30 days to pay per Arizona payment guidelines, then 3 days later received an email asking for status of payment.
Fantastic service. Installed a 220 and a 110 dedicated circuit working through a very difficult attic configuration. Would definitely hire again!
Great job, highly recommend and we will use again. Ryan came out to the house and we walked around where plugs were needed in the garage. Ryan made suggestions I had not thought of (Xmas light plug) and others configurations on how to save $. Very professional. Electricians arrived early and were even able to add an extra outdoor plug we realized we needed prior to the appointment. Overall excellent service and will be using them again after the holidays to put in extra lights in the house.
I've been looking for a reliable and honest electrician in the valley and I think I may have found one of the best around. I contacted Rio Electric to find out if they could help me with an issue I was having with my GFCI outlets - ever since my family and I moved in three weeks ago, we have been having issues with the outlets in the bathroom. I was walked through steps to ensure I did indeed have issues with the outlets before anyone was sent out. The folks at Rio helped me figure out that the issue was easily fixable and they saved me a bundle of time and money. I couldn't ask for a more thoughtful business I've dealt with since purchasing my home.

These guys are amazing. Patient, thorough and super friendly. You have to plan ahead as they are usually busy/booked and for good reason. They have installed an outdoor light fixture, an outdoor outlet for a TV, a ceiling fan and helped tweak some indoor switches. Thumbs up - I will be using them again for sure.
Rio is a overall good company just had a couple issues. I had them add two power outlets, change a 3 switch box to 4 switch, and run a coaxial cable. I was told by the installers that they probably could not put an outlet on the exterior wall. I had to suggest pulling power from the ceiling fan at which time they said that they would try that. It worked. Just seemed that they did not want to take on a hard challenge and only did so once I encouraged them that it could and must be done!
A great experience all around! I hired Rio to install a 240v outlet in my garage so I can charge my Tesla. Rio quoted the job over the phone (and was the best estimate I received), scheduled a time that fit my needs, arrived at the job 10 minutes early (thank you!!), and did a great job for exactly what they quoted. They also vacuumed up all the dog hair (from my Lab) around the wall they worked on and left the area cleaner than when they came.
Could not ask for a better experience - highly rated and I will certainly use them for my electrical needs going forward.

Wow! Customer service is amazing- it's a Sunday night at 9:30 PM and I am messaging back-and-forth with the owner about just an estimate for a project -not even a project that I'm paying for yet. I am truly blown away by their service for a relatively small project that they are just pricing out for me at this point.
Used them for a home remodel that involved undermount lighting, new can lights and rerouting lots of switches/lights. They were professional, very reasonably priced and on time. Can't recommend them enough!
The guys at Rio did a fantastic job installing a 64 fan on my previously unwired cathedral ceiling. They found a way to do it to code when it seemed like there would be no way around the beam at the top of the wall. I was very impressed with their courtesy and friendliness, and they cleaned up afterwards, all for a very reasonable price. Thank you, and I wouldn't hesitate to use them again.
Wow! This company has fantastic customer service. Honestly, it was the first time I have had superb service from the home improvement trades. The electricians showed up on time. Were professional and pleasant to have in my home. They stayed and finished the project without rushing even though it took much longer than expected and they were long overdue at their next appointment.
I will be calling again because I have a few more electrical projects to be completed.

Super fast response from my request for a quote. We chatted on the phone and pricing seemed good for what I needed. We agreed upon a timeframe for them to come out (today around 12:30). No one ever showed up! I called at 1:30 and left a message. I called again at 3pm and no answer. Very unprofessional.
We've been meaning to replace a light fixture in our breakfast nook with a ceiling fan for years, but it's something we just kept putting off. We finally decided to stop sweating while we eat and get an electrician to do the job. I contacted several on Yelp, and Rio was the first to respond and had the lowest price. I really appreciate that they gave me a concrete number since it was a simple job rather than asking me to call them to set up an estimate. No thanks.

The team at Rio Electric have been some of the best contractors I have dealt with since I moved to Arizona. Not only did they show up on time, provide a reasonable bid and a great warranty, but after my elctrical work was completed and my hot tub was installed, they came back out to my home on Easter weekend, after hours, and with no charge to correct a mistake made by my hot tub delivery people. They will forever have a return customer with me. This team was truly a pleasure to work with!

I called Rio Electric to remove an old cooktop and install a new one after my new countertops were installed, knowing that I would need two appointments. Ryan was extremely helpful over the phone. Dan did a quick job of pulling out the old cooktop and answered all of my questions. I will have them return to install the new cooktop and am confident that it will be done correctly. The quote matched the final price, they were easy to communicate with, Dan did a great job explaining my choices and the pros and cons of different options and was professional and friendly. Ryan was great. He came out and took care of a few electrical projects. Before coming out a kitchen ballast light went out. He talked me through purchasing one that he installed the next day. He was thorough and thoughtful describing options.
There wasn't any rush to the work that Ryan performed. So appreciate the honest work and skill set. We never felt any level of sales during his visit with us. His communication was clear and concise especially for us non-electricians!
Dan installed a lvl2 evse in my garage for my electric car and did a fantastic job! He called to let me know he was going to be 30 minutes late and ended up being early, which is always a plus. Nice and clean install!

Rio came in to move a couple electrical boxes and did a great job. While they don't do the patch work of the drywall they had to take out...not many electricians do, so it was expected. However, it was an easy fix myself and I was very pleased with their work. I will actually be calling them back for more soon.

I would highly recommend this company. From start to finish an overall great experience. They added can lighting in our kitchen, added a fan to a room that had no power to it, added a light under our stairs and moved an outlet up a few feet to hang a TV on the wall.. I had them install some pendant lights and ceiling fans for a fair price. They came promptly and did their jobs quick and I'd say they were friendly people. I would definitely feel comfortable hiring them again for a job although my only comment would be to wear shoe booties because we don't normally wear shoes on the carpet. Most people will put them on or ask but they didn't... Not a deal breaker but would have been nice

Rio Electric came out to my renovation ran wire for and installed 8 can lights. moved, wired, and installed two fan boxes. Ran wire for and installed a chandelier light box. Ran wire and moved two light switches, added an outlet to a new wall. And moved an outlet after a wall was removed. Very knowledgeable, and listened to our thoughts/concerns/opinions about placement and layout. Very professional and excellent workmanship. Will hire again in the near future as renovation continues!

They were right on time, very honest and upfront about the repairs they were doing and stayed until they fixed several unexpected issues. I definitely trust them and will have them back out for further repairs.

We just moved into our newly built home and had a list of electrical items--5 ceiling fans w/ lights, moving light fixtures, 2 outdoor flood lights--to install in prewired j-boxes. Ryan also identified some electrical issues that was covered under our builder and Lowe's warranty. Ryan did a super job, has a lot of creative ideas, knowledgable, and honest. Rio Electric also charges reasonable rates and are upfront about the cost. It's way more cost-effective and reliable to install store-bought fixtures with Rio Electric, than having Lowe's or Home Depot install them. We will definitely use Ryan & Rio Electric again for future electrical projects. I would definitely recommend Rio Electric to anyone who needs electrician services.

Submitted a bid request to this company and got a call back within literally two minutes. The service guy's name was Ryan. I explained my issue from my office then called him back when I got home and he troubleshooted with me a few different things and then ended up showing me how to fix the issue myself over the phone. Great guy! I was on the phone walking around my house with him for like 20 minutes. He was totally cool, also provided a thorough explanation as to the why and how to fix it if it does it in the future. Two thumbs up and he didn't make a penny from the help he gave me.

Ryan and Josh did a great job! They did the electrical work for our kitchen remodel. Can lights ceiling, under cabinet lights, plenty of outlets and fixed GFCI's that had been misplaced from previous work. The work was clean and professional and these guys were fun to have around. They also fixed a 3way switch that I had tried to replace myself just to help me out.

Rio Electric was recommended to me by a friend, and so I called Ryan to get pricing for installing new indoor and outdoor lighting, which included two chandelier type lights from cathedral ceilings. Ryan responded quickly, gave me pricing, and advised that he was backlogged for about 1-2 weeks, which was okay by me, and GREAT communication by him. We set a date/time, and all the work was completed except the highest chandelier which required a taller ladder. Ryan contacted me and we arranged for that installation within two days, and the job was completed. Great job, great communication. I would definitely recommend Ryan and Rio Electric!

Wow! My husband and I are so impressed! We were not getting power to our pool pump so I did an internet search and saw all the wonderful reviews on Yelp about Rio Electric. I decided to contact Ryan last night around 7pm and asked that he call and schedule a time to come out and look at the issue we were having. He was at our house today by 4pm! He found the problem right away, which turned out not to be an electrical issue. He even called our pool guy to have him come out to fix the problem! My husband said that Ryan was extremely nice and professional and even refused to take any money for his time. Just had 2 cam lights installed with separate lines to dimmer switches. After figuring out the best area and how to run the lines, the service people did an excellent job. They were knowledgeable, quick and cleaned up after finishing the job. Ryan was great to talk to with Rio Electric. Very pleasant and efficient with setting up the appointment. I have found and electrical company I can trust and would hire them again.
Great service by this company, highly recommended with competitive prices. I was comparing prices around town for getting my two new motion sensor lights installed in our backyard. Rio Electric was my choice, and I'm glad we went with them. Ryan and his associate came out on time and did the deed. Work was done within the home walls, attic and backyard. What was great is that I almost forgot they were there working - so quiet. When done Ryan showed me how the lights operate which is good to know. Awesome stuff.

Great price, fast service and clean install. We had miscommunication on the placement of a 240v outlet for a tesla charger in the garage and they moved it for me without hassle. The 240v outlet is bigger than your typical 120v outlet so was a little more work. Would highly recommend!
The whole team is incredibly knowledgeable and helpful. We were installing recessed lighting, overhead lighting and reworking the wiring in our bathroom and living room remodel. They sought our input prior to making changes and even made suggestions on what would turn out the best. They completed the work quickly and did an absolutely fantastic job. Quick response to inquiry on yelp and beautiful work on recessed light install. Had some issues with the light, that was no fault of Rio, and they returned promptly to fix the problem.

Ryan helped us replace the fan in our master bath before we turned our house over to new buyers. He knew we were on a time crunch to get it done. The fan needed a specific motor that he had in his storage across town so offered to drive there and come back and replace it the same day! He was very professional and thorough. We will definitely use him for all our electrical work in the future!!

Being new to the area, I trust Yelp for its recommendations. I needed a ceiling fan installed in my living room so I called various handymen and electricians. Rio Electric offered a very competitive price and was prompt in their scheduling. Ryan and his crew came on time as well as installed my fan promptly and professionally. After the installation, Ryan and his team made sure to tidy up their work area. I am very impressed with their work and highly recommend Rio Electric for all your electrical needs.

We had Ryan install an extra breaker and outlets outside for extra Christmas lights. He was very quick and professional. We need some more work done (an outlet moved) and will definitely call him to do it for us. Cannot recommend him more highly than calling him back to perform more work for us!
