Our shower has been making this repetitive thumping noise for the past three weeks. Another plumber evaluated the situation, and recommended tearing down the shower wall to locate an obstructed valve, which would cost thousands of dollars and mindless destruction.
Fortunately, we were able to get a second opinion from Alexis, who showed up within the appointment window and correctly diagnosed the problem almost immediately. It turned out that the culprit for the plumbing vibration is coming from a water heater pump that was improperly installed by a previous plumber. Once he turned off the hot water circuit, the water hammer ceased.
Due to Alexis' experience and diagnostic acumen, we were able to identify the problem and come up with a solution quickly. Not only did he save us the unnecessary demolition of our shower and the associated cost, he is able to repair the actual issue directly.
I locked my three-year-old border collie mix in the crate when Alexis arrived, and the dog was barking enthusiastically at him when he came in. But he loves dogs and said it was okay to let our dog out of the crate. The dog sniffed his hand and got to know him quickly. I'd say my dog has good judgment of human character, and Alexis won her over.

I called to see about a estimate on some old gas lines. Dave came out and told me I did not need them replace since they were not leaking and no need to spend the money. He would be happy to do it, but I would be wasting $$. Honesty goes along way and I want to thank them for that.

Had a great experience with Sal's Plumbing today clearing our main line. I called late this morning and Thomas arrived by mid afternoon and took care of the problem right away. He even offered helpful advice for prevention and maintenance. Good to have things working again and knowing I can call these guys if anything else comes up.

Called them this AM around 10, they fit me in during the afternoon and offered great service. Edwin showed up and was super cool/friendly. He had my shower arm off in about 30 seconds, hooked up my new shower head and even helped me hotrod the thing for higher water output. Stoked, thanks guys. Pricing for the visit was about in line with what I've experienced in the past with other companies in the Bay Area (new to LA).

Our downstairs toilet backed up and caused a flood. We were able to plunger it but called Western Rooter to come double check it. Pablo showed up around 35 minutes after we called and he was very diligent in checking everything. Even went and snaked the clean out. I felt way better that a professional like Pablo went over everything.
If I had issues in the future, Western Rooter and Plumbing would be on my speed dial.

My shower tub got clogged at around 11pm. Started looking for a plumber and got a couple of replies. Jorge replied back within 10mins. His quote was very reasonable, so I decided to move forward with him. He told me he can stop by the following day between 8-830am (pretty quick for a late message). He arrived a couple minutes before 8am! He tried unclogging the tub, but had difficulties. He went underneath the property and noticed an issue with the plumbing pipes that were causing the clog. The quote increased couple hundred bucks because the job had to be done underneath the property. He managed to unclog my tub, installed new abs pipes and a new bath waste drain kit. 100% satisfied! Will use him for future projects...

I can't rave enough about Avi and Waterworks Plumbing! I have used his services several times now. His response time is so quick and is there that same day or the next. He not only addresses the main issue but has always answers questions and looks into some other less urgent plumbing issues. He goes far above and beyond! Not only is he the best plumber I have ever had, he is an incredible human being...one of the kindest people I have ever met.

We had a broken toilet that needed fixing. Came to check out what was wrong and told us we needed a new toilet. So we ordered one and once it arrived, they sent someone to install it. Ari came to do the installation. He was very nice and honest. Highly recommend!!

Long story short:
- Didn't fix the problem and never followed up to complete the job
- Did (probably) unnecessary work and charged a lot for the privilege
- Left scratches on the walls in the bathroom and stairway. Apologized, but didn't really fix this problem either
Noticed one of our toilets kept running and suspected another one was running. Had received a flyer in the mail from Papa's Plumbing and also saw good reviews on Yelp so decided to give them a call.
Plumbers came and looked at the toilets and said the fill valves needed to be replaced on both toilets. They charged $175 per toilet to change the fill valves, which is on the high side based on some quick internet research, but I wanted the problem to be solved so I paid them for the work. Later noticed a scratch was left on the bathroom wall.
Later that night I noticed the toilet was still running. Called them the next day and they came back. They didn't really do anything since they didn't observe it running when they came back. I explained that after the flush you had to wait a few minutes and then it would start running again. Guess they weren't interested in waiting around and said to call back again if we noticed the problem. They did apologies for the scratch on the bathroom wall and tried to rub it off the wall. Didn't quite fix the problem but at least the scratch is fainter. I later found other scratches on the stairway.
Called them back again the next day and they said they had to order a flapper they didn't have in stock. They said they would call us back when they got it. Didn't hear back from them for days. Guess they weren't really interested in actually solving the problem since they already got paid for some work that might not have even needed to be done.
Finally gave up and decided to turn to YouTube and the internet. Confirmed the toilets were still leaking by putting food coloring dye in the tank and observed that the color was leaking down into the bowl. Surprised the professionals didn't have any means to confirm their diagnosis and instead just changed the fill valves. Ordered the flappers off Amazon and changed them on both toilets. Problems solved and probably what I should have done in the first place. Glad I didn't wait any longer since I never did hear back about whether they were able to get the flappers.

I have to write another review for My Drain Company. Late last week, we had an issue with our sewer drainage system. I called and texted Tony at 4:30pm about the problem. He had already let his guys go and he was finishing up a call. He said he would be over around 7:00pm. He was there at 6:45pm. He diagnosed the problem and went to work. Forty-five minutes later the issue had been resolved and he charged me a fair price. Tony saved the day! He was genuine, considerate and honest and we had a wonderful conversation as well. He even came with covers for his shoes so he could walk in the house. This is the second time I have used this small business and have been very impressed. If you have issues with your plumbing do not hesitate to call them!
