great experience.  found this company via angies list.    i had an outside light that stopped working so contacted them and they were out within 24 hours.  they called when they were within a half hour or arriving and 2 electricians were at my door.  they took apart the light and fixed it within a half hour.  i thought the repair was going to be a replacement of the light costing over $200 but the repair cost $29.  will use them again!

We needed an electrician.to add an outlet to our deck. I called Electrimax and within minutes they returned my call. We were able to set up an appointment quickly. The guy who came was professional and did a great job. If you are looking for fast, friendly electrician with reasonable prices., I would definitely recommend Electrimax. Steve showed up on time, professional installation of two smart switches and was reasonably priced.

Came right away to give a free estimate and fixed the problem within minutes of arrival. Powered our tenants back up! Not only professional and great value, but fast and friendly communication. It has been a pleasure getting to know Stetson and team from Dunn Honest Electric.

We initially engaged Stetson via Yelp when we put out a request for a Forklift Charger installation. We met with multiple vendors, but Stetson's professionalism stood out - it wasn't just another job to him. He took the time to explain our options and we received an estimate the following day! The charger install went great.

We then realized the need for further electrical services when we installed our conveyor system. Stetson came back out to our warehouse and discussed all avenues of accomplishing the task. Again, our estimate was given shortly after his visit. The quote was approved and Stetson and team were on-site the following week. Two days later we had an amazingly designed power distribution solution that didn't break the bank.

We'll definitely be calling Dunn Honest Electric for our future business electrical needs.

Pros:  Came out within 30 mins of me calling them. The hour rate quoted on the phone was $100 plus repairs. That was $50 less than everyone else I called and none of them could make it out that day.

Cons: don't expect any kind of wiggle room on the price if it turns out that you are an idiot and never needed to call an electrician in the first place.

Let me explain. The can lights in our kitchen, recently remodeled, stopped working. For 6 months my wife and I have exclusively used one switch on the countertop to control these lights. A week ago they cut out. We had completely forgotten about the other 3-way switch in the hallway because it had been blocked by boxes and other things from the move. The switch didn't even exist in our minds. 2 seconds into the electrician coming into the house he flips the switch and I have a good laugh. Problem solved in my mind. Since he's made the trip out I ask him to take a look at some other things. My thinking being.  Ok, I'm out $100 minimum for a silly mistake, let's try to knock out some other simple things. I had a ceiling fixture that needed a shallow breaker box. I hadn't been able to find one at a big box store. I asked him to quote me on that. We had some confusion at the beginning that I will give him the benefit of the doubt on. Originally i was thinking he wanted to charge me an extra $100 diagnostic fee. Plus a charge for a repair. It wasn't until I complained and we went back and forth a little that he came off the extra $100! Or I could of been reading the situation wrong and it was a misunderstanding. I specifically remember him saying it was $100 minimum per issue though. So we move on. He tells me it's $75 for the shallow breaker box. I ask him if since the other one was such a silly mistake if he could do $150. Still in my mind that's damn near highway robbery but I thought that would be doable and a nice gesture on their part since it was laughable how stupid I'd been to call them. He stays firm on the $75. I don't push the issue anymore. I let him spend 5-10 mins putting 2 screws in and run my card for $175.

Long story short. I'm an idiot. Monday's suck. I should of been an electrician. And don't expect any kind of good faith gesture in silly scenarios like this. A price is a price is a price.

Owner replies to a job that was 11 months ago!!!!
My review was pretty clear and 100% honest and accurate.
*You came in.
*Turned on a light switch (to fix a silly mistake that my wife and I missed).
*Used two screws to install a shallow breaker box that I couldn't find at Home Depot. You charged me $175.
* In my house total for probably 8 mins.

People can decide for themselves if they think that is a fair and going rate. I'm glad you have thousands of happy customers. Sorry that one of them gets a little annoyed when they feel like they just got hosed.

Provided feedback and owner responded and essentially dismissed everything I had to say. Here is his message along with my response:

Owner:
I was made aware that you took issue with work that we recently performed for you.  It is my understanding that you took issue with the following:

-The motion sensor that was installed for your bedroom lights was meant to be installed for your bathroom lights
-The Nest security camera that we installed for you resulted in a bush in your back yard sustaining some minor damage.

I have spoken with the technician who did the installation and my estimator that priced this work for you.   I have also reviewed the invoice.  The invoice clearly states that the motion sensor was to be installed in your bedroom and you signed for the completed work. This would indicate that you were satisfied with the installation and the location / function of the motion sensor. Furthermore, the technician says that he advised you not to install the motion sensor in your bedroom.  If you would like us to move the motion sensor to another location, that can be done, but at an additional cost.

After speaking with both my estimator and installing technician, we will not compensate you for damage to a bush.  Your vegetation in the backyard is overgrown and both of my employees advised you that there may be some minor damage to the vegetation because of where you wanted us to mount the cameras.  You indicated that would not be a problem and asked us to proceed.  Again, your signature on the invoice and payment would indicate that you were satisfied with the work performed.

My response to above message:
I was NOT informed that there would be damage to my plants (see pics below) and was only informed after-the-fact, once I approached installer in the backyard during installation.

As for the bedroom light, also not correct. I directed the installer to install motion detector device in bathroom. He informed that he couldn't. At that point is when I directed to install in bedroom.

You're right, the signature represents my sign off on work performed. However, it doesn't always characterize the context of the situation. If you choose not to redress, that's fine - I'll simply share my perspective /experience in the appropriate area.

To be clear, the installer was very courteous and professional. However, soft skills doesn't always align with technical competence.

Fantastic customer service. Honest and transparent, Noel explained the entire reason as to why our AC system wasn't functioning properly.  We so appreciated the honesty and lack of pushy ness and fabrications. We'll be calling again... thank you..!

I found Steve (Owner of The Electrical Team) through Home Advisor...He installed two chandeliers in my house and I am having him back to install some outlets in my attic for security cameras.  He is awesome electrician that knows his stuff!  Plus, he's great at scheduling appointments at the last minute...You will not be disappointed with him.

Apparently electricians are in very high demand in Austin! I called two other electricians before I found one who was able to help me connect my girlfriend's new WeMo light switch. The folks at Malco were very polite and managed to get someone out to my girlfriend's house quite quickly.

The only reason why I reserved a star here is because it ended up taking two hours @$120/hr to connect the light switch, which seems, in my opinion, to be a lot of time to connect a light switch. But, apparently, it was a more difficult install than I had initially thought.

I spoke with the owner, Randy, about it and he was very polite and professional. You can tell that he cares a great deal about the company and providing great customer service which is the type of company that I like to do business with.

Had a houseful of electricians bidding on a project that I wanted to get started. Hands-down, Mr. Pawson is the most relaxed, knowledgeable and non-pressuring of all electricians that visited the house today. Not only that, but his price was significantly lower than the others. My dog fell I love with him, that's a good sign and he served alongside Soldiers in their time of need.

I just moved into my first home, and I had no idea where to start in terms of the electrics. Its a 1950's house, so I knew there had to be some updating. Brian came over and gave me specific estimates of what had to be done, what probably should be done, and what I didn't need to worry about. There were several instances where he could have overcharged me. Instead, he proposed alternatives that ended up solving any issues in a less expensive way. I plan to continue using Lite it Up - great service! Thank you Brian!

Very pleased with service from Juan Gabriel! I got him on the first try, he is very knowledgeable and gave a reasonable price for services. He was professional, clean, considerate (wore a mask) and efficient. Job was done in no time!

We recently hired Handyman Dan to help with a list of repairs in our home.  He did a great job.  We were very pleased with his professionalism, skills, and friendliness.

I called for electrical work to be done. I received same day service and completion of service. The customer service representative was awesome. My electrician was very professional. I received five star service and would recommend to anyone needing an electrician. Quality work!

Maury is a saint.  I couldn't recommend he and Robin more, absolute life savers.  We had 3 wire scheduled to do some work for us on a project, unfortunately we had a trenching mishap in preparation.  Our main line to the house got cut and did a bunch of other damage. We got an outrageous quote from some nefarious overly opportunistic electrician (that I will not name for the sake of my karma) and Maury got us up and running for nearly half of what that other dude (not to be mentioned) quoted us.  While saving our bacon, Maury and Robin discovered all sorts of seriously problematic existing electrical issues that could have been catastrophic.  They even discovered that our dryer vent wasn't making it out of our house.  These guys are great, call them.  There is nothing better than finding GOOD PEOPLE when you absolutely need them.  Thank you guys!!!

We first used Jesse Padilla last year when we had LED lights installed in our kitchen along with some new outlets.  He is wonderful.  The job he did is absolutely perfect.  He is a good guy also.  He even came by later after the kitchen was completed to check on things.  What a great guy.  You will not be disappointed if you use him for your electrical needs.  Also, his charges were very reasonable.    Give Jesse a call - we highly recommend him

I had a semi big job for Mike with installing grounded outlets and a new breaker panel. Him and his partner did a great job for a great price. Mike is extremely polite and knowledgeable. He will try and cut costs as much as he can for you. I would highly recommend Mike for all of your electrical needs and I will be using him for any further electrical work moving forward.

We hired Jon Wayne to do their tune up special on two units.  Part of this tune up included flushing out the drain lines.  Two weeks after this tune  up our overflow drain starting leaking outside.  They were so busy looking for things we could spend thousands of dollars on than doing a good job on the tune up.  

After reading my review, and knowing I was disappointed in their service the company refunded the fee we paid for the tuneup.
