I have used Rangel Electrical Services on three occasions for needed work in my home.  I couldn't be more pleased with the quality of service performed by owner Mario Rangel.  On each occasion, Mario showed up on time, did excellent work and completely cleaned the job sites.  All work was performed for very reasonable costs.  Work included new recessed lighting and additional circuits in my kitchen and dedicated 20 amp and 30 amp circuits in my garage.

I highly recommend Mario with Rangel Electrical Services.  He is thorough,  efficient and professional.  And he's genuinely a nice guy.  You will not regret contacting Mario for your electric needs.

I am surprised that my review is the first Yelp review for Rangel Electrical Services.  Other review sites show similar 5-star ratings.

Called yesterday to get help with a lighting problem and David
said he would be here today at 8:30am and I said that would be super.
He arrived on time and had the problem diagnosed in 10 minutes.
Then he went with me to Lowes to show me the light bulbs I needed
and when we returned home he finished his work and only charged me for
one hour; fee was VERY reasonable compared to others I called.
He is a very pleasant person and now I will only use him for all of electrical
needs!
Would give him a 6 star rating must must only use 5.

J's Electric came out to fix our dryer outlet and did a great job. When we sold our house we called him again to come and install new GFCI in the kitchen, garage, and around the pool. He was professional, on time, and completed the project at the estimated cost. We will definitely used him again!

I had a small electrical issue with a rental house. I called Duhon Electric based on the reviews here and set up a time for them to come out. They inspected the issue and found a flaw in the work I had done myself. They explained what I had done wrong, corrected the issue and left without charging me.

Both William and Damian were polite and forthcoming. They both seemed to know their business very well. I will call them first from now on and I would recommend them to anyone needing electrical work.

Can't say enough good things about Jason and CW Electrical Services!   Jason gave a great estimate and did a fantastic job hanging 2 new lights (replacing canned lights).  He had enough time left from the original estimate to install 3 dimmers too.   Highly recommend:  CW Electrical:  512-912-6517    He was also almost 1/2 several other estimates.

Thoroughly impressed!  Not only did they get here to give me an estimate promptly, I was able to schedule the work within a couple of days. Probably could have been sooner had we not been out of the office for a couple of days. The morning of the scheduled work, they arrived early.... what???  The young men that did the work were delighful.  Very polite, did the job quickly with positive attitudes.  Everyone in my office commented on how great the electricians were.

Jared is the kind of worker you want in your house to fix anything but he happens to be an excellent electrician:  Knowledgeable, trustworthy, efficient, fair, and personable !    He fixed a problem that was recurring with lights going out in one section of my house, installed an outdoor motion detection light, and answered my questions about switches and outlets -- and very conscientiously kept it all under an hour.   Plus he loves dogs, so you can let Rover stay in the house.   Thanks, Jared !   Would use him again without any reservation.

Our experience with Citywide was just awful.  Certainly they are not local, they way overcharge for parts, and they will not give satisfaction when you complain.  Support your LOCAL electrician, not these big-city crooks!  I certainly will never use them again.

I highly recommend Ferguson Electric in Helotes.  We have used them for many of our electrical issues around the house in the past.  Recently, they updated our light fixtures and were fair, knowledgeable, and efficient.  I would use them again without hesitation.

I am sorry to see so many poor reviews of Fox Service company here in Austin :(.  I have used them for years at my house, mainly for HVAC and plumbing, and actually electrical now and then too.  I have always had good and courteous service.  I even know some of the guys names- JoJo always does my annual heating/AC inspections.  Gabe was the plumber who took on the task of replacing my old water heater just this month in December (because that is when water heaters go- always when it is cold out!).  On that task they even came back the next day to correct a recirculating pump that was extra noisy.

I have the annual Priority One service contract with them- maybe that is the difference?   They hire pretty knowledgeable folks and they have never tried to screw me on anything, always tell me what my options are.   Never had a bad experience.  I would gladly recommend them for house maintenance work around Austin for A/C, Heating, plumbing, and electric work.

Throughout home ownership over the years I have dealt with multiple electrictions, this time it was the first going through my home warranty company.  Roger was phenomal and one of the nicest people I have dealt with. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for an electrician and will definitely be calling him for all additional needs.

First talked to Daniel about install of a generac whole house generator on June 8th he comes to house a few days later we talk about install he tells me they have done them before no big deal well by the time i decide to call CPS myself and check on application the lady at CPS tells me they just the day i called submitted application and it was WRONG. They have given me the run around for two months save yourself the headache.

I hired Marcus Reyes for two commercial jobs in San Antonio.  Everything went good up until the end of the projects.  I had a hard time getting Marcus to come out and finish the last few items at both jobs.  He did finally finish after several calls, but thats not why I'm writing this negative review.  A few months after the jobs were finished Marcus sent me two bills for extra work on the stores.  There was never extra work and there was never any type of agreement, verbal or written, that he was going to charge me extra to finish the job.  All he did was come back and correct the work that was unfinished.

I'm assuming that he ran into financial trouble (winter is slow for some contractors) and so he hit me up for more money thinking I would pay if he threatened to file a lien on my customers property.  And when I refused to pay the bogus bills, he did in fact send a letter to my customer threatening to file a lien on their property for unpaid debts.  So he's now committing fraud by filing a fraudulent lien on my customers property.

I would recommend to find another electrician for your electric project.
